*3rd POV*

Nigel climbed through and got on Marcel's shoulder and held up the two blue macaw feathers and the one yellow canary feather. Marcel chuckled. "Yes! Well, done, Nigel." Marcel said grinning before honking the horn.

He drove forward and away from the parade. "Oh! Oh! Out of the way! Sorry! wait!" Linda said as she kept trying to make her way through the parade. "Whoo-hoo! We actually made it!" Tipa said happily.

Fernado noticed Linda and Tulio following, so he dropped things on the ground to lead them. Armando cheered. "Hey, Marcel! Can we do this again next year? Please? Please? Could I drive next year, too?" Tipa asked Marcel who kept driving away from the parade. 

"Wait! Come back!" Linda yelled before she stopped running and began panting as Tulio kept running. She looked around and saw an unoccupied float. She got an idea. Tulio was still running, before Linda pulled up next to him in the float.

"Get in." Linda demanded as he got in and she began driving the float. While that was happing, Luiz somehow...got on top of the float Linda was on top of. "I don't know how I got up here, but I ain't never coming down! Ha-ha! Whoo-hoo!" Luiz said as he danced on top.

| At the airport |

Tipa, Armando, and Fernando were loading the birds inside the plane. "Come on, kid." Tipa said as he took a cage from Fernando and walked back inside the plane. Fernando looked at Blu, Jewel and Izzy. 

He walked to them, and the three birds looked at him confused. "I'm gonna get you guys out of here." Fernando said as he grabbed Blu's lock, before Nigel landed on Jewel and Izzy's cage and screeches at Fernando.

Fernando gasped. Marcel grabbed Fernando by the arm. "What do you think you're doing?" Marcel asked him. "Um, nothing." Fernando said nervously. "You shouldn't have done that. Now, come on." Marcel as he began dragging Fernando to the plane.

Jewel and Izzy looked at him with pleading eyes. Fernando bit Marcel's hand. Marcel immediately held his hand. "Ow!" Marcel said as he grunts. Fernando ran off. Armando went to run after him, but Marcel stopped him. "Ju-Just forget him! Get the birds!" Marcel demanded. 

Soon enough, Linda and Tulio were arriving. "They're getting away." Tulio said noticing them already about to take off. "We'll see about that." Linda said as he made a sharp turn with the float causing Tulio to make a gasping yell noise.

"Watch out!" Tulio shouted as they hit something, but Linda didn't care. She drove straight for the plane. "We did it, boys." Marcel said grinning. "Yes!" Tipa said happily. "Yes, we did it!" Armando said. 

"Ha, ha! We're the best!" Tipa said as he held his hand up for a high-five. "Is that...a float?" Marcel asked as he turned Tipa's head to look. "Wow! Look at the detail on that thing!" Tipa said smiling.

"Ooh!" Armando said impressed. "Pull up, you idiot! Pull up!" Marcel demanded. "Huh?" Tipa and Armando said before they both began pulling up. The three of them screamed, along with Tulio while Linda wasn't afraid, she just wanted her Blu back.

The plane flew off the ground and into the air. Linda pulled the float to a stop and got out. She sobs. "Blu! Blu! Oh, Blu." Linda said as she sobbed and watched the plane fly off. Tulio walked to her and gently put his hand on her shoulder. Linda buried herself against him, as Tulio held her close.

*My POV*

We were sitting in our cages, sad. "Sorry, Eva, I'm not gonna be home for dinner." Rafael said sadly. Suddenly, clicking was heard and I looked to see a hook being hooked onto a fire extinguisher, and I saw Blu attach it to the top of his cage.

"What are you doing?" Jewel asked confused. "I'm gonna pop this cage open like a soda can." Blu said before he began slamming himself against the side of his cage. He kept doing it till the fire extinguisher fell and opened the top of his cage.

He slipped out. "Now, that's popping!" Nico said as him and Pedro were on the side of their cage. Blu got mine and Jewel's cage unlocked. "Hurry. We gotta help the others." Blu said and we flew out of our cage.

I immediately rushed over to Nico, Pedro, and Rafael's cage and unlocked it. They flew out, but Nico hugged me tightly. I hugged him back. "Oh, thank goodness you're okay." Nico said and I smiled. 

We began helping others. "I'm a pretty bird, I'm a pretty bird." A bird said as they spun around in circles. We kept letting them out and soon Blu knocked cages in front of the door to where the humans were. 

Blu opened the hatch door, and we were waiting for it to fully open. I heard grunting and I saw one of the humans trying to get through the door. We heard a squawk, and Blu and I turned to see Nigel's claw.

"Go! Go! Go!" Blu said and birds began to fly out. "I'll meet you out there." I told Nico and he nodded. "Freedom!" Pedro shouted and they all flew out. They all cheered and shouted. "Come on! Come on! We need to get out!" Jewel said as she grabbed Blu and began going to the hatch.

Hey, wait, wait, wait! Wait!" Blu said as he stopped. Jewel stopped as well. "It's okay." I said to Blu gently. "Um, she's right. It's okay. Hey, it's okay. We'll figure this out together. Right?" Jewel asked softly before me and her gasped as Nigel tackled Blu to the ground.

Nigel laughs hysterically, while choking Blu. "Let him go!" Jewel and I yelled as we jumped on Nigel to get him off, but he slammed us into the wall and a cage landed on our wings. We yelled out in pain.

"Jewel! Izzy!" Blu yelled worried. "Ow! Our wings." Jewel said in pain as I tried to push the cage off. "Oh, pity. Now we have three useless, flightless birds." Nigel said as he choked Blu more while laughing hysterically. 

Blu looked down and saw the fire extinguisher, he grabbed the hook he had on it and put it around Nigel's foot. "Huh?" Nigel asked confused. "Not cool, man. Not cool." Blu said and he pulled the pin for it, and he went flying through the glass. "Uh-oh." Nigel said as he got caught in the blade. We saw his feathers flying in the wind.

*3rd POV*

Tipa screamed. "We're going down!" Tipa shouted before the three of them looked to the parachute. Tipa and Armando did rock, paper, scissors for it, but something stopped them. "Chute! Hasta la vista, losers!" Marcel said as he had the chute. He jumped while Armando and Tipa followed.

*My POV*

Jewel and I were sliding out of the plane. "Blu!" Jewel shouted for him. "No!" He shouted as we fall. We scream as we fall. Suddenly we saw Blu fall with us and he soon caught Jewel. "Blu! You are crazy! What are you doing?" Jewel asked. 

"I'm not gonna let you go! We're chained-to-each-other birds, remember?" Blu asked. Jewel suddenly kissed Blu and we kept falling, but before I could hit the water, Nico caught me. "I got you!" Nico shouted.

As Jewel and Blu pulled away from the kiss, Blu spread his wings, and he began flying before they hit the water. Nico followed after Blu. Blu gasped. "Wow." Blu said as he looked around. "Blu! You're flying!" Jewel yelled happily.

"Yeah! Whoo-hoo! I'm flying! I'm really flying. You're right. I'm not an ostrich. I'm not an ostrich!" Blu shouted happily as we kept flying. Nico was flying after Blu and we soon made it back to the small pad we were at.

We saw three humans. Blu laid Jewel on the ground as Nico laid me on the ground. The female saw mine and Jewel's broken wings and gasped. We squawked in pain. We saw Tulio and our eyes opened more.

"Here, let me see."  Tulio said as he went to pick us up, but we backed away a little. Nico held his wing over me glaring. We looked at Blu and he nodded. Jewel let the male pick her up as the female picked me up gently. "Don't worry. I'll take care of you." The male said.

| Months later |

Jewel and I had grown to trust the humans, and soon we were able to fly again. We flew out happily and Blu soon followed after us. Nico found me. "My love! You're alright!" Nico shouted happily as he twirled me in a hug as I laughed.

| In the jungle |

"All the birds of a feather!" Birds sang. "Oh, oh, oh, oh." More birds sang. "Do what we love most of all." More sang. "Oh, oh, oh, oh." More sang. "Moon and the stars." Females sang. "Oh, oh, oh, oh." More birds sang.

"Strumming guitars." More females sang. "Oh, oh, oh, oh." More birds sang. "That's why we love Carnaval." They all sang. "Loving our life in the jungle, everything's wild and free." Jewel sang as she flew through the jungle. 

"Never alone, 'cause this is our home." Blu sang as both his and Jewel's three kids joined them. "Magic can happen for real, in Rio, all by itself, you can't see it coming. You can't find it anywhere else." They sang

"I'm the capoeira king-a, king-a, king-a, king-a, king-a! Birds like me 'cause I'm a hot wing-a. Pedro, hot-a-wing-a!" Pedro sang before letting out his hawk-ish cry. "Here everybody loves samba!" I sang as Nico, and I danced with daughter. 

"I like da samba!" Pedro sang. "Rhythm you feel in your heart." Rafael sang. "I'm the samba mastah!" Pedro sang. "Beauty and love." Nico sang as he twirled me around. "What more could you want?" I sang as we flew with our daughter. 

"Ha!" Pedro said as we flew up. "Fantasy can be for real, in Rio." We all sang and Pedro made his hawk-ish cry. "Here's something else, something else. You just feel it happening, you won't find it anywhere else." We all sang as Linda and Tulio joined us. "I love you, Rio!" Luiz shouted and we had our happy ending.
