Rin POV
Its been, oh I wanna say five years since lord shessomaru left me with Kagome and Inuyasha, I was sad of course, but I understood why, sort of. Any who, lemme tell you about my life, I live with Inuyasha and Kagome and their daughter Aimi, I learned how to heal people from Kagome and what herbs to use from Jenenji, I also learned how to fight from Inuyasha. Anyway now to the present,
lord shessomaru has visited me every, what two months, and has brought me a small gift like a kimono or small throwing weapons, once he even brought me a sword, ku'un (ka-un) which I clean every day. But its been four months and no sign of shessomaru, or master Jaken, which saddens me , Kagome and Inuyasha just tell me he's probably busy, which is probably true, but it still hurts, like a stab to the heart, which makes no sense whatsoever to me, because when I see him I act different more mature than how I usually am, and I feel happier when iam with him. He once said when I turn 17 he would have an important question to ask me iam now 16 and my birthday is 3 days away, I just hope he'll show.

Shessomaru POV
3 days till Rins 17th birthday, that when I'll pop the one question I've been waiting so long to utter. I now understand my father, once you have someone to protect, your stronger, even if its a human. I sigh, what has that little girl done to me, I hope she feels the same way I do,I'll just make it so she can't say no. I have the perfect Idea on how to propose,(who knew he was such a romantic ;)) OK iam done talking lol). I travel to Totosai to ask for a special favor,
"Totosai" I say, because I still have to keep my 'dont-mess-with-me' attitude,
"Ah lord shessomaru, what may I do for you" he says stroking his scragly old beard
"I would like you to make a ring, like this" I say as I bend down and draw what I want into the soft dirt
"And where the bands twist I want my name and Rins" I admit to him, ( so where the diamonds are on the pic is where he wants their names)
"Just like your father, but you understand that I am a sword maker, I can't make rings, but I can show you how, my hands are too clumsy for rings" he replies fast so I won't hit him
"Alright" I reply " but can you do the engraving" I ask as nicely as possible
"Of course iam not that poorly skilled" he boasts.
We get to work the first thing he has me do is make the mold for the ring which is very hard, I have to make the mold exactly how I want the ring to look, after what feels like days(which its only been one :)) ) I finish with the mold,
"Know choose what type of metal you want" says Totosai, I look at what he has, he has a black metal, a silver,gold, and copper,
"Black and silver" I say with my usual voice, he nods and heats up the meatles and poor's them into the mold, I hope it turns out right. Totosai says in about 4 hours the metal will have cooled enough to where's as we can put the engraving on it,
"Alright" I sigh I then walk over to the edge of his cave thingy and sit down, tomorrow's Rin's birthday,, I hope this is all worth it.

Awww how cute he's making a ring for her, I think that's sweet, anyway hope you all like
