*~Two~*
I woke up in the same strange room as before, on the same bed. Although, this time, the bed was sweat-soaked.
"Are you okay?" the Vaporeon boy asked, leaning over me.
"Why do you ask?"
"You were crying out and screaming in your sleep."
My face turned red in embarrassment. "Sorry for the trouble I've caused." I tried to sit up, but the room started spinning.
He shoved me back down by taking a hold of my shoulder. "Stay down."
I groaned, irritated. "Why?" I whined.
"You'll get hurt if you try."
My long, black, rod-shaped ears flattened. Wait... long, black ears? With yellow rings on them?
"Did you not realize that you got Umbreon ears and a tail? Are you kidding me? You're less observant than I thought you were."
I growled at him. It was inhuman, and as soon as I finished the guttural noise, I clamped my hands over my mouth. "What was that?" My voice was muffled.
"You're transforming into an Umbreon."
"What?!" I bolted upright.
"What did I tell you?!" he yelled, shoving me back down. "Stay down!"
"I'm not a dog!" I snap, sitting up again. The world swam a little, and I could feel myself swaying slightly.
"Hm. You're fine. Just don't try to stand," he instructed me sternly.
"I'll be fine," I said angrily, jumping off the bed. The room was twisting around, and I fell backwards, into the waiting arms of Vaporeon boy.
"What's your name, anyway?" I ask, giggling at how clumsy I was. I felt like I was suddenly put on steroids for happiness.
"I'm Brandon." He lifted me up and planted me on the floor, holding my shoulders. "I didn't catch your name that day at school."
"It's July," I laughed... What was wrong with me?!
"Well, July, STOP LAUGHING," he yelled.
"Shhhh, someone will hear you screaming," I said, sticking my index finger on his mouth clumsily, then rubbed it all around his face, twisting his mouth.
He was not amused. "Stop," he groaned through my skinny appendage.
"I said SHHHHHH," I hissed.
"Great, it's starting to mess with her brain. I knew we should have perfected the formula," Brandon muttered.
"What?" I jumped up. I suddenly wasn't as happy as I had been.
"Nothing!" he said, his eyes widening.
"I know you said something, I'm not an idiot!" I growled.
"Fine... I said that we should have perfected the formula, because it is messing with your brain."
I snarled. "Are you KIDDING ME?!"
"I'm sorry!" he yelped.
"I'm leaving," I said angrily. I stomped towards the door.
"You can't!" he yelled. "People can't see your ears or your tail!"
"Why not?"
"Because it would give away the research my team is doing, and you would be researched by the... Uh... government!"
"You hesitated," I said, crossing my arms and leaning against the wall. "And what do you mean, 'your team'?"
"Uuuhhhh..."
I raised an eyebrow. "Hello? Anybody home?"
"Well... I work for Team Plasma, and we're working on a way to turn humans into Pokémon..." His voice cracked in the middle of his sentence.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" I screamed at him.
"Unfortunately, no." A female Lucario walked out of a corner.
"You're a Lucario!" I gasped.
"Correct. You will eventually be a full Umbreon. Your transformation will be more painful, because you go from a bipedal species (the human) to a quadruped species (the Umbreon). Further, you will get the mind of an Umbreon, and it will get harder and harder to resist the instinct."
"Thanks for the encouragement," I said sarcastically,
"Yeah, good luck with that!" The Lucario's tail flicked back and forth angrily. The ponytail-like things sprouting from right behind and above her eyes started to quiver slightly.
"Calm down, Fionna," Brandon said, placing a hand on the Lucario's chest and one on her back.
Fionna's eyes narrowed, and she slapped the living crap out of Brandon. "Never touch a girl there," she growled angrily.
I cringed at Brandon's cheeks, which looked like they were in pain.
"Lucario are mostly male," Brandon stated, as if it would make up for his perverted touching.
"So?" Fionna growled.
I high-fived her. "Nice going!" I said.
She smiled. "He does that all the time. It drives me crazy!" The previous tenseness in her voice had released, and her fierce expression softened. "Glad I have another girl to talk to," she said.
"Me, too! I didn't have any friends at my old school," I replied.
