The next morning again starts with her waking up by the birds chirping. She got up as she went to brush her teeth.

She was in deep thought. Trying to put all the puzzle pieces together.

'How did it all start? When did it start? How to stop it?'

She wrote them on paper as she took a bite from her bread.

"I guess I should take a leave from office to get more time. I'm going to do the same thing anyway" She said as she stood up and went to wash the dishes

Afterward, she took her phone and call her boss.

OTP:

Y/n:- 'Hello, good morning sir'

Mr.Jung:- 'Morning Ms. Kim. How come you call me this early?'

Y/n:- 'Actually today I urgently need a leave. So I won't be able to come to office today'

Mr. Jung:- 'Yes I understand bu-'

Before he could finish Y/n cut the call.

"I'm not in the mood to argue about the reason. He won't understand anyway" She shrugged

After taking shower and changing she went to the dining room and sat down on one of the chairs. She tried her best to concentrate on her thoughts so that she can answer the questions on the paper.

After about 30 minutes she sighed in frustration.

"Damn! This feels like I'm giving an exam!" She stood up and walked around trying to calm herself "I've to be patient to solve this. Okay..." She again sat down "I guess this started 4 days ago..." She wrote it down on paper "What more?"

"Means it started around the first day. Okay... the first day... the first day...what must have happened which is different than the other things which happened?"

She asked herself as she started forcing herself to think hard. Just then her gaze landed on something.

"Right! The boxes! The creepy delivery man!" She stood up as she realized  "That's the only thing which hasn't repeat! The delivery man! Yes! It must've started around that time!"

"But what caused the reason?" She again thought "Let me recall everything..."

"That morning the delivery man came and hand me an anonymous parcel...what more? Think Y/n think!" She closed her eyes to focus "Yes! Yes, the ring!"

She looked at her finger.

"Because of all this mess, I forgot about this. But what does this has to do anything with all that?" She scratched her head in confusion

She was silent for a moment then it clicked on her mind.

"Right! This all started only after I received the parcel and put on this goddamn ring!" She looked at her ring finger "I might be acting crazy by blaming this ring but I can't think of anything else anyway"

"If I take off the..." She slightly holds the ring "ring?..." She tried to pull it off

"Wha- it's stuck?" She again tried to pull out

"What the! In just 4 days my finger grew fat or what?!" She again tried to pull it off in frustration

"Ah! I can't do this!" She said as she took heavy breaths and sat down

"My...my finger hurts" She said as she rubbed her ring finger "Perhaps I can use something oily or sticky...something slimy to take it out or something..."

She stood up as she went to the washroom. She took the soap and drenched it in water. She rubbed it in her hand till bubble's started forming.

"This should be enough..." She said as she rubbed her other hand on her ring finger in hopes the ring will come out

"Okay, now the time I pull it out..." She said as she again tried "Ugh...it isn't working!"

"Oil! Right oil!"

She washed her hands and ran to the kitchen. She pour some oil into her hand and rubbed it around the ring. She again tried to pull it but failed.

"Goddamn come out already!"

She washed her hand and again sat down.

"I wasn't going to blame this ring but the way it's stuck is making me blame it for all the reasons!" She said as she looked at the ring angrily

"Once on the internet, I watched this life hack related to rings...what do we need again? A thread!" She stood and went to try that too

After some minutes she again sat down, giving up.

"This ring is so stubborn"

She sat there for some minute as she was exhausted.

"After doing all this my finger is hurting a bit" She said as she caressed her finger

"Nothing is working. What should I do?" She said as she whined and then her gaze landed on the wall clock

"Wah, this thing took me the entire morning? I'm hungry. I'll just eat first"

She took out some ramen and cooked it.

"I should buy something different. I can't eat the same thing every day. I get bored too" She said as she pouted sadly

She sat down with her bowl and started eating.

"Umm! When we're hungry everything tastes like heaven!" She said as she stuffed some more

After she was done she washed the dishes and again sat down. She put her arm on the table and placed her chin on her palm.

"Now what? I've done everything I can. Wait...in jewelry shop they also cut rings which get stuck right?"

She stood up as she went to her room and opened her laptop. She searched related to her problem and did find what she want.

"Okay, I'm going to get rid of it!"

She said as she closed her laptop. She took her phone, bag, keys and went out. She went to the nearby jewelry store and asked them if they can help her with this. Of course, they agreed.

They took out a scary-looking thing. and plugged the wire into the switchboard.

"Uh...I won't get hurt right? I mean my finger won't come out I hope?" She asked nervously

The person laughed and reassured her everything will be fine. But still, Y/n closed her eyes as she heard the loud sound coming from the machine.

The ring can't resist that for sure!

After a few minutes when she heard the machine sound fading away she opened her eyes just to see the shocked expression of the worker.

"What happened?" She asked as she looked at her finger "No! It's still okay?!"

"Even I'm shocked! The material seems rare and good too. May I take a look?" He asked as Y/n nod

He took her hand and investigated the ring.

"No, I've never seen material like this before. But we can try again" He said looking at her as Y/n again nod

They tried more than 5 times but nothing worked. At last, Y/n gave and came back home.

As soon as she entered she lazily went towards her bedroom and throw herself on the soft mattress.

"I can't take it off"
