Frat Boy
Ally's pov:
Zoe and I stand in the crowded hallway as we wait for our turn to use the bathroom.
"Are you sure we should have left Sophia alone like that?" I worriedly ask Zoe, noticing that we've been standing here for quite a while now. I look behind me, only to quickly turn back as I notice a couple making out only two feet away from us.
Maybe I'm not so much of a party person after all.
I probably should have made Sophia come with us, even if she had to calm down her boyfriend.
Which sounds awful, by the way.
I had been in one relationship back in high school, but it wasn't long at all, so I don't quite understand the boundaries of a relationship and what you can and can't do.
The only relationship I am ever around is my sister's, and her and Luke rarely ever fight.
Unless it's over food of course.
I laugh to myself as I turn towards Zoe, who was busy staring off into space to notice that I asked her a question.
She was definitely more gone than I was. Even though we consumed pretty much the same amount of alcohol, she is somehow a lighter weight than me.
Go me!!!
I tap her shoulder to get her attention, which causes her to jump in surprise.
"Were you saying something?" She asks, looking at me with a loopy smile
Yeah, definitely out of it.
I shake my head and whisper a "never mind" from underneath my breath before looking back at the line in front of us.
It feels like I've been standing here for hours. I don't know much longer my bladder could take. There were still nine people in front of us, and the current girl in the restroom has been in there for at least 10 minutes.
After what feels like forever, she finally stumbles out, wiping her face with the side of her mouth. The next person who enters the bathroom begins to gag, and the sound that came next was not so pleasing.
This.... is awful.
"I think we should try to find another bathroom," I say to Zoe, who also watched the scene in front of us unfold.
"I agree," she says, grabbing my arm as I squeeze us through the crowd of people until we were back next to the staircase.
I begin to take us down the stairs, but Zoe grabs my hand and pulls me to a stop. "Why don't we try up there?" She asks, pointing towards the staircase leading up.
"I don't think we should. That's like the number one rule of going to frats, don't wander off from the party." I reason, tugging her arm to follow me down the stairs.
I REALLY have to use the bathroom now, and I don't care what random party I have to walk into to find one.
"Well good thing I'm the lifeeeee of the party, no rules broken here." She sings, letting go of my arm to head towards the stairs leading up.
"No, Zoe!!" I struggle to catch up to her as she rushes up the stairs in excitement.
I should have made Sophia come with us. I must be a bit passed tipsy because the more I follow Zoe up the stairs, the less I try to stop her.
I'm not in the right mindset for this.
All reasoning and logic leave my head as we make it to the top of the steps. There are four-bedroom doors, and I'm almost sure that one of these has to have a bathroom.
"C'mon, we need to hurry," I whisper to Zoe as I crack open the first door. Empty.
I try two more rooms and find them empty as well. It wasn't until the last door that we find a bathroom tucked away in the farthest corner of the room.
"Yes!!" I can't help but let out a sigh of relief as I head toward it. I use the restroom first, being as quick as I can so that we could get out of here as soon as possible.
Once I'm done, Zoe goes in. As I wait, I find myself looking around the room, taking in the plain colors of the room, and to be more specific, the lack of decor.
Not that I mean to judge, I'm sure that this is just one of the frat boy's rooms, and the last thing on their mind is the decor.
Heck, whoever they are, are probably hammered downstairs, partying like no other.
I take a peek at my phone, noticing that it was almost 2 am. We have been here for a while; it would probably be smart to regroup and head back to the dorm soon. I know I'm done drinking for the night, as well as Zoe, who said she wanted one last drink her last drink ago.
Hopefully, Claire would be alright with leaving soon, but if she doesn't want to leave, I would still stay for her. I haven't talked to her for the past hour, so I don't know how drunk she is or if she even plans are going back to the dorm tonight.
And then Sophia has probably wanted to leave since-...
"Hello?" A voice startles me as I look up to see a tall, dark-haired, and most definitely handsome man at the doorway.
Oh wow.
He is very, VERY good-looking.
I take in his features, noticing the way his biceps bulged with the way his arms were crossed over his chest as he leaned against the doorway, staring at me. His eyes were a wild green, and there seemed to be not a single flaw on his face.
This guy was unreal.
"Hello? Anyone in there?" He waves his hand, forcing me back into reality, and I can only pray that he didn't catch me openly checking him out.
So embarrassing.
"Hi, so sorry! We didn't mean to intrude, I just really had to use the bathroom, and the line was super long." I talk quickly, my hands moving all over the place as I try to give my reasoning for being here.
I probably looked like a crazy person to him, and he had every right to think that way. Heck, if I was him and saw this random girl just standing in my room, I would have a much bigger reaction.
Instead for him, he just seems calm as he tilts his head to the side, "We?" He asks.
I nod my head while pointing a finger towards the bathroom door, "My friend's in there." I say, quite stupidly, I might add.
The feeling of humiliation is overwhelming as the corner of his lips turns up into an amused smirk.
I'm just glad I'm not sober because I don't think I would have been able to survive this feeling if I was.
"Oh really?" He takes a few steps into the room, his eyes traveling slowly down my body before back at me.
I feel my cheeks flush as I am reminded of the outfit that I chose for tonight.
"Yep," I say, taking a small step back as I cross my arms behind my back, which wasn't a good idea because the action pushes out the top of my breasts. His eyes linger down a second time, and I quickly stand back up straight and clear my throat.
What the heck is Zoe doing in there?
"You're lucky no guys from the frat saw you, they are pretty strict about people coming up here." The guy says casually as he meets my eyes again.
"You aren't part of this frat?" I ask. He gives me a look, almost as if he was offended by the question.
"Do I look like a frat boy to you?"
Sassy.
My eyes travel down his body, noticing that he didn't look like any of the frat boys downstairs. No polo shirt, no khakis. The guys downstairs looked preppy and tailored.
The guy in front of me looked nothing like that. He looked the exact opposite. More laid back in a tight black shirt with grey sweatpants.
Oh, and also really, really fit.
Did I already mention his muscles?
"Not at all." I give him an honest response.
"Then there's your answer."
"So, this isn't your room." I begin to feel relief, knowing that some guy didn't see me in his room, just some other random guy.
"Are you trying to say I don't have any taste?" His question makes me laugh because that was my initial thought of the room also. Bland.
Even though I know nothing of the man standing in front of me, I have this sudden feeling to get under his skin.
"Maybe." I tease, looking away while biting my lip to hold back a laugh.
At this, he finally laughs, before putting a hand over his heart. "Ouch. And again, no. I don't do frats, especially this one."
"Why not? They don't seem... bad." I say, trying to be nice.
He raises one of his eyebrows, "Have you had a conversation with any of them?"
"No."
He nods his head, "Then be glad you didn't."
"Why?"
"You seem to have a lot of questions." He jokes, a grin on his face.
"And you seem to have a lot of answers."
"Fair enough. If you talk to one of them, the only thing they will do is brag about themselves, or stick their tongue down your throat, whichever comes first." He shrugs.
I wince, "Oh, lovely."
"Lovely indeed." He says, taking another step closer to me.
This time, I don't take a step back. Nervous butterflies fill my stomach as he comes closer until he's only a few feet away from me.
"You never mentioned why you were up here."
He shrugs, "I'm not a big party person, I wanted to get some peace and quiet for a couple of minutes."
"If you don't like parties, why are you here? If you don't mind me asking more questions." I joke, putting a hand on my hip.
"My best friend loves parties, and I just so happen to be the only one of his friend's free tonight."
"Lucky you."
"Lucky me, indeed." he chuckles.
"Speaking of friends, I should probably make sure mine is okay." I hated ending the conversation so quickly, seeing as this is the only conversation I've made today with someone who isn't in my friend group.
But the mention of friends got me realizing that Zoe has been in the bathroom for at least five minutes now.
It wouldn't bother me as much if she wasn't so drunk.
"No problem, I should probably go and find mine anyways. Before I go though, can I get your name?" The guy asks, tilting his head in way that I found cute.
"Of course, it's-......"
But before I can finish, the sound of a loud thump from the bathroom interrupts me.
Zoe!!!!
