Y/n was laying on her bed, facing the wall. She was hugging the blanket, trying not to cry due stress. She could feel Rihito stare so she asked,

'I can make Lucia angry by staying. Oh, maybe I should try and become head of the Hongo famil to take everything that worked for her whole life.' She sat up then looked at him. 'Or, you know, I can run away. What's the use in staying?' She flopped on her back, staring at the ceiling.

'Please stop it. This is not like you.'

'This is like me.' Y/n chuckled, getting off the bed then stretching. 'But why shouldn't I run?' She took the bell with the Stella crystals on. She pointed it at Rihito then said, 'Not as if if become a proper lady you will stay. Because that bitch is gonna take you to the fucking other side of the fucking world!' Y/n angry yelled the last sentence, clenching the bell. Rihito just stared so she rolled her eyes then yelled, 'Say something! Stop staring and say something!' She yelled, tears forming in her eyes, threatening to slide down her cheeks.

'Please calm down.' Was all he said. His hand tried to take the bell from her but she slapped it away from him then said,

'How? How can I possibly do that when everything is going wrong?!' She looked at the bell then said, 'I never even wanted to be here.' She threw the bell on the wooden floor, yelling, 'FUCK THIS PLACE!'

She swears she saw a crystal fly off the bell. Suddenly a harsh slap came across her left cheek causing her head to swing to the right. She just stared with wide eyes to the wall for a good half minute before she slowly touched her cheek. It stinged and was wet. She was confused to why it was wet but then she realized she had tears sliding down her cheeks. She noticed Rihito's slowly do his hand up, trying to touch her and say something to probably tell her he didn't mean it or she should grow up so she quickly pushed him backwards then ran to the door, which she slammed open before running out the house.
She ran.

And ran.

And ran till she couldn't anymore.

Flowers. And even more flowers. Y/n sat in some random flower field Mei always took her to before they went to school. She forgot her sketchbook so she couldn't draw any of the flowers which made her think of stealing a pen from someone. But as she was thinking that, she heard something behind her. Footsteps. They sounded familiar so she chuckled, already knowing who it is.

'Of course you would find me, Rihito.'

'I am your butler after all.' Y/n didn't have to turn to know he said it with a smile.

'Sit.' Y/n pat the spot aside her. She watched as he sat down aside her, also watching the view of the many flowers. 'Do you know why I came here?'

'It is a beautiful scenery.' Rihito answered.

'I guess.' Y/n shrugged. 'Mei used to take me to flower fields or beautiful places before and after school so I can draw and forget all my problems in life.'

It was silent. Not an awkward silence but a comfortable one as the two just enjoy the beautiful view. Suddenly Rihito spoke up,

'That you inherited the Hongo family blood means nothing but pain and hardship to you.' It was silent for a few seconds before he added, 'But I think it's good that you share the Hongo bloodline.'

'Why?' Y/n asked quietly, watching a bird land in a tree.

'Thanks to that, I met you. And I was able to serve you as your butler.' Y/n just stared at the bird, unsure what to say but suddenly he got up so she quickly looked. 'I'm going back. Tomorrow I have to prepare for my trip.' He reached in his inner pocket before doing a letter to Y/n. 'This is from the academy headmaster.'

Y/n just stared then slowly accepted it before getting up. It had "To Y/n" on the front. When she turned it, it had "Shuutarou" and "Yuu" on the back. Rihito bowed then turned and walked away. Y/n just stared then opened the letter to see her father's handwriting. She stared, a bit shocked then read the letter.

'Dear Y/n. Are you doing fine? Mom and Dad wrote this letter in case something happened to us and you found out about the Hongo family. When you find out about them, you will have to make a decision about what you want to do. No matter what choice you make, you will definitely need enough resolve to lose something in order to gain something. To protect the people dear to me, I resolved to leave my home. What is precious to you? Once you know that, you should hold on to it. I'm sure you will find the answer. So when you know what is is, be courageous and fight for it!'

Y/n was on her knees, hugging the letter to her chest while crying. She noticed through her blurry vision a little arrow to the edge of the page so she turned it to see more writing. It was her mother's handwriting.

'You're strong so you'll be fine. For the sake of yourself and that precious person by your side, won't you join him to fight together? If there is someone, fight with all your might for the sake of that person as well.'

Rihito. That was the only thought that ran through her mind as she got off the ground and ran.

She never ran this much in her life! She noticed Rihito walking so she ran faster eventhough her legs were burning from all that running.

'Rihito!' She yelled so he would stop walking, which he did. He turned, staring as she ran closer. 'How can you just leave a lady to walk back by herself?' Pant then said, 'I will fight. For what I don't know yet but I will fight.' She panted harder, her hands on her knees.

Rihito just stared then smiled before walking over.

'Then I will-' He lifted her hand before he placed his hand against hers before he slided his fingers between hers, gripping her hand so she also clenched his hand. 'Become the sword to your fight and the shield-' He placed her hand over his chest where his heart is. 'to protect you.'

Y/n walked with Rihito through the school halls. Y/n couldn't help but smirk at what she's about to do. She stopped in front of the classroom doors, watching Rihito open them for her. When they opened, everyone was inside, staring at the two. Y/n just walked in, chuckling when Mei was on her, hugging her tightly. The four mysterious bitches, Lucia and her butler were in front.

'I was so worried!' She said, looking very worried.

'Where were you?' Izumi asked, staring in shock at Y/n sudden return.

Y/n just pushed Mei off then walked to Lucia.

'You came back. What happened?' Lucia asked her. But Y/n just smiled then said,

'Hongo Shiori-sama, I challenge you to a duel.'

'You! What are you suddenly saying to Lucia-sama?' One of the myserious bitches frowned at Y/n.

'You should know your place!' Another angry yelled.

But Lucia lifted her hand causing the two to go silent and go back in the line.

'I see. Nobody can overturn a decision made on the outcome of the traditional duel of St. Lucia. Even Grandfather.' Lucia said, staring at Y/n. 'So you want to use that route to steal the successor position?' Lucia asked, as if finding it amusing Y/n can think she can just have it that easily.

'That was my first intention but... no.' Y/n said then did her hand to Rihito. 'It's a duel for the butler Shibata Rihito.'

'There's no way I'd accept such a battle.'

'Fine. If I lose I will leave this academy.'

'I wouldn't gain anything from that.' Lucia said. She stared at Rihito then asked, 'Rihito-sama? If I win, can you promise to forget about this girl and serve me your whole life?'

'If that is the condition of the duel.' Rihito answered.

'I see. Then I will battle and put everything at stake.' Lucia informed Y/n.

'Everything?' Y/n raised her eyebrow, crossing her arms.

'If I lose, I will give up Rihito-sama. I will refuse the successor position and leave this academy, too.'

'And if I lose?' Y/n asked.

'How about you and ALL your classmates leave the academy?' Lucia suggested. 'Even with that tough act you're so kind that you won't want to hurt your friends, right? The stakes for you should be at least this high.'

"I won't do it" is what Y/n would have said since she wouldn't want all her classmates to leave but she just smirked and said, 'Accepted.'

'It's more fun when it's thrilling.' Rika chuckled.

'It's like when you're about to board a ship, right?' Natsume smiled.

'I will pray for certain victory.' Rin informed, grinning.

'I will support you!' Mei happily said, grinning at her sis.

'What stupid kids.' Lucia annoyed said. 'Shinobu!'

Shinobu nod then spoke,

'As Lucia's representative, I accept the duel.' Y/n could hear the butlers whispering in fear about the albino butler but she choose to ignore it. 'We will battle with real swords in the duel.'

'You can't turn back anymore, Y/n-san.' Lucia warned. 'No matter what happens.'

'Till someone dies, huh?' Y/n chuckled.

'Well then, good night!' Lucia smiled as Shinobu pushed her chair out the classroom.

'You're crazy!' Mei began hitting her sister making Y/n chuckle.

'I know-' She was gonna add more when a window broke and something flew past her face.

She quickly turned to see an arrow in Rihito's side. The room was silent, unsure what just happened and what to do. Y/n lifted a shaky hand to touch it but Rihito gripped it with both his hands. Y/n could just stare with shocked and scared eyes then quickly grip his shoulders when he doubled over, frowning in pain. When she quickly glanced up, she saw all the girls frozen in spot, just staring. She would have yelled for them to get a doctor but suddenly Rihito sank through his legs so she quickly went down also, holding him as he was on her lap, making very little pained noises.

'R-Rihito?' She whispered as she did her hand over his hands, which still held the arrow tightly.

She felt something wet so she turned her hand to look at her palm. It was covered in blood. She could feel herself going pale at the sight before she quickly placed her hand back on his.

'He needs to go to the nurse!' She finally managed to yell out.

Two butlers hurried over then helped Rihito up before dragging him out the classroom. It was silent as Y/n just sat on the floor, clenching her blood soaked hands. Mei was fast on her knees, hugging her sis, whispering it will be okay.

Y/n was cringing as she was tugging the dress she wore.

'Why do I have to wear this stupid dress?!' She yelled to Rihito who was getting dressed in his room. 'At least it's my favorite color...' She mumbled, sighing then yelled, 'Are you a girl? How long do you need to take to get changed?'

She went silent as his door opened. He fixed the end of his jacket then smiled,

'I apologize.' As he walked over, he chuckled and said, 'You don't have to be so nervous.'

'I'm not nervous.'

'You are shaking.' Rihito glanced at her shaky hands so she gave unimpressed eyes then stared.

She just threw her arms around his waist, frowning in worry and fear for him. He just stared then wrapped his arms around her. His hand rubbed her back to comfort her.

'This is gonna be cheesy but promise me one thing.' Y/n said, gripping him tighter. 'Stay with me forever.'

Rihito put a hand on the back of her head, stroking her head, whispering,

'Y/n please believe in me. If you believe in me, I will certainly live up to that promise.'
