Hey everyone, I am back with another update. There was slight delay i know but my health wasn't good but here i am. I hope you are liking the story so far. Enjoy the update.😀

Khushi was in deep thoughts for the rest of the day after her meeting with Nani in the temple. She said I will meet my mate soon. Will he accept my decision? Should I do what Nani said? What is going to happen in few days? she was pacing in her palace hall after getting ready for the party when she bumped right into Aman making her startled.

"Ohh, I am sorry Aman. I didn't saw you" She said startled.

Aman held her hands softly in his while staring in her eyes. "Khushi please stop worrying so much. Everything will be fine. We are all with you. I know your reason very well but don't let that phase you out."

Did Aman heard everything in the temple? But he was in the car? Khushi thought nervously. "What you mean Aman? What reason?"

"Khushi I know you are worried about that rogue you captured. And you are connecting it with past but trust me Khushi this time it won't happen. Things have changed and we will fight it better. None of that was your fault ok? I don't blame you for that and no one among us do." Aman tried to calm her.

Khushi felt relieved that he don't know about Nani visit.

"Aman you know most of people think otherwise."

"Khushi, one day everyone will see how wrong they were. I promise ok?" Aman held her gaze to assure her the same. He will go to any lengths to make sure she gets what she deserves. Khushi nodded with little smile.

"Let's check the preparation for the party" She said while moving towards the lawn with Aman when they heard loud screech from her beta while running towards in their direction making them close their ears.

Nandkishore was bubbling with excitement with party preparations. Even though gathering was just their pack members but party is party. He has checked, correction, tasted all dishes so that nothing goes wrong at the party. After watching everything going according to his satisfaction he turned around to find Aman missing from the scene. He huffed in annoyance. He thought to go inside palace to search for him when someone called him and he saw a pack warrior coming towards him. He signaled him towards a corner and he followed silently. After talking to him he couldn't stop his grin and as soon warrior left he ran inside palace screaming out Khushi name.

He found them in hall with hands over ears, weird. "Khushi..... hey what Aman is doing here? Listen brother you were supposed to be helping me not gossiping here with my bestie." He said irritated.

Aman rolled his eyes as a reaction. Khushi though had small smile on her face as she removed her hands from ears. Aman came to him and stood right in front.

"Well I was responsible for party set up and completed my duty while you were responsible for food which instead of checking on it you were busy eating it. And I hope you left something for all of us. Now for your information I am not gossiping here and Khushi is my bestie too Mr Nanki. She was highly tensed and pacing all the time which I saw and came here for her while you being her bestie didn't come" he said bestie making quotes with his fingers.

Nanki expression changed within a second and he pushed Aman to make way towards Khushi worried. Khushi tried to calm him but he won't take it.

"What happened Khushi? Did something happened? Did anyone said something to you again?"

"Nanki relax it's nothing like that."

"Its about that rogue isn't it?"

Khushi wasn't surprised, she knew Nanki and Aman can always guess her issues. That's why it was much harder for her to keep her father issue within wraps.

"Yes, and don't worry I am fine now. You tell me why were you screaming out my name like that? And what Aman is saying is true? You ate the food before the party? Why would you do that Nanki?"

Nanki face flushed for a second before regaining his composure. "Ohh.. Well I have to make sure food is fine so I just tasted it not ate everything according to his accusation." He said glaring at Aman who just rolled his eyes at his dramatics. "While answer to your other question is I got some good news for you regarding that rogue" Aman was near him in flash of second while Khushi was surprised.

"What did you got Nanki?

"Well I have arranged a meeting with rogue day after tomorrow" he said wiggling his eyebrows.

"But day after tomorrow is all pack meeting" Aman said with serious expression.

Khushi smiled at Nanki plan "that means everyone will be busy with all pack delegations and meetings and I will get chance to get there unnoticed"

"But Khushi you can't go alone and your presence is needed here after everyone arrives here. You are next alpha for goddess sake. You just can't go like that without being noticed." Aman said worried.

"No one takes me as alpha Aman." Khushi said sighing.

"Listen Khushi if there is alpha for us then it's going to be you and no one else ok?" Nanki said holding her hands.

"Yes Khushi never doubt that. You are our next leader and no one can take your place ever. We are with you always." Aman assured her again.

"And regarding your visit we will be with you and I have made all arrangements, that's why I was happy and wanted to tell you as soon as possible." He said with proud smile.

Aman and Khushi smiled at him as they know no one could beat Nanki when it comes to planning apart from Khushi. Khushi was about to say something when they heard sound of cars approaching the palace.

"Akash is here." All said together happily realising it.

They all rushed to main door where cars stopped and soon everyone started coming put of their respective cars. Till then Amar, Nisha and Amala along with thier parents joined them at the front door.

The large jeep in the middle stopped and gaurd opened the door. The man stepped out wore a formal royal navy blue attire. He looked around and found the person he missed so much in his entire journey, his elder sister, Khushi Dii.. who was smiling brightly at him.

"Dii..." He said while rushing towards her and hugged her tight in happiness. While others waited for their turn to greet him. His father Mahinder along with other officers and ministers joined them. Mahinder shook his head in amusement in reaction to his son's action.

This time the team went for all legal work was bigger. It included Mahinder, his son Akash, four elders from council and their pack borders ministers.

"Akash.. Finally you are back. You know how much I missed you?" Khushi said while looking at her brother.

Akash looked at her with his eyes shining brightly in happiness. His eyes were dark brown just like her but his wolf eyes were hazel. She could feel his wolf barking happily at her wolf in affection.

"I know Dii... I missed you too. But you know I got all treaties signed this time myself." He said proudly.

"I knew it. I knew you will do it one day. I am so proud of you Akash." Khushi said embracing him in warm hug.

"Hey.. we are here too you know..." Nanki said annoyed making everyone laugh. Soon everyone greeted Akash as they welcomed everyone back.

Khushi smile dimmed a little as she saw her father coming downstairs with her mother. Akash bowed in respect to her parents while rest of the team followed. He embraced Akash happily and patted his back for his success. Her mother too blessed him. She wished her father too accept and be proud of her one day.

"Alpha I brought your favorite flavored fruit punches and sweet dishes." Akash said happily and went to a elder council who was holding a basket with a smile. He thanked him and took it to his Alpha who was happy with his gesture. It was time for Alpha King to speak.

"Good evening everyone, as all of you are gathered here for our team arrival I am happy to announce that all of the packs are doing well and maintaining peace. Our legal head and my brother Mahinder had assured all packs that the issues of rogues will be dealt with unlike last time." He paused for a while looking at Khushi for a brief moment making her flinch while he continued his speech "But today there is one more thing to celebrate and that is Akash had lead this entire team and worked on all pacts alone.." everyone cheered at this and he asked Akash to join him on stage "you have made us proud Akash and lead everything like a leader and I am sure packs will be safe under your leadership. Now everyone please enjoy the party" he said smiling after initiating the party.

As soon he said these words while many pack members cheered but there were some who were feeling sad and disappointed especially Akash who looked at his Dii eyes which told everything, still she was smiling happily at him hiding her pain as she had been doing ever since that attack. He saw queen leaving the stage and making way towards her too.

"Go get changed son, party has started already. You don't want to miss your own party right?" Mahesh said while drinking his favorite fruit punch Akash brought for him.

Akash was about to say something to king when his father stopped him and signaled him to do as king said. Akash left from there dejected. Mahinder looked at his elder brother disappointed.

"Mahesh, I want to talk to you something important"

"Is everything ok?"

"It will be if you really listen to me."

"Ok, let's talk after dinner in my office" he said gesturing towards pack members in the lawn.

Mahinder looked around where party was in full swing but in a corner he saw Khushi with her friends standing all silent. He shook his head disappointed. "As you say My King". He said leaving Mahesh in surprise and confusion.

Aman, Amar, Nandkishore, Amala and Nisha all surrounded Khushi to comfort her. They couldn't believe that their king has nearly made it official that Akash will be next alpha king not Khushi. Nanki and Aman were most enraged by this as their wolves will never accept anyone other than Khushi as their alpha. They are supposed to be next beta and gamma but if things went on like this they will definitely leave their positions but not Khushi.

Sunlight entered the small room falling on the person who didn't want to wake up from his unconcious state. He just want to get lost in world where no one can harm him but his fate was cruel. A loud splash of water echoed in room making him awake. He slowly tried to open his eyes but closed again due to sunlight.

"Wake up you useless brat." His boss screamed at him while throwing another bucket of chilled water on him. He gasped heavily and tried to sat on the floor with help of chair near him.

He looked up at his boss and beta of his pack. He was ready to go somewhere in his formal attire and was looking at him with distaste.

"Finally you are awake. Now move your useless body and get back to work. I am going for rounds with alpha and everyone else should be awake any minute. I want everything ready by that time. Am I clear?" He raised his voice in threatening way. The man whimpered and nodded in agreement.

"Good. Spare me for wasting my energy on you." He said and stomped out of the room.

Man got up with the help of a chair in his room. He sat on nearby cot as his body cried in pain. Though he has healed a little but it was far from normal. His wolf was exhausted while healing him. He looked around his room and found his cloths on table for work. There wasn't much in this small cottage room for him and his family. It was one room with kitchen and bathroom. The walls have been chipped off long time back but he didnt have courage to ask his boss for repair work. There was only one cot and rest were sleeping mats. Although wolves are much comfortable in forest habitat but his human side does need some basic amenities. Their condition was worse than omegas elsewhere in any pack.

He looked through the torn curtains on the window, the sun was rising spreading little light in the room. He wondered if the light will ever come in his life. Sighing he got up from his cot and limped to the small bathroom and got showered with cold water. It helped him numbing his pain for a while. He got ready in cloths kept for him and went to see himself in front a single old mirror in the room. His eyes looked sunken and with all the bruises he look no less than a ghost. He combed his hair slowly as his scalp pained with yesterday night assault. After getting ready he took some pain killers to get through the day.

As soon he opened his door his parents were rushing inside and his mother hugged him crying while his father looked at his body for his injuries. He hugged her back while wincing in pain. He know they must have felt the pain through family bond no matter how hard he tried to block it.

"Maa please stop crying I am better now. See I am already healing" he tried to comfort her.

Her mother looked at her son with sorrowful eyes. She knew this was nothing new for them to get punished like this but still she wished better life for her family especially her son. Yesterday they were given chores to do before the pack party leave for all pack meeting at Alpha King palace, it was then she felt the pain and so did her husband and they knew what has happened and they couldn't leave until they finish the work.

"You know you can't lie to your mother right?" She said caressing his face carefully.

"Son I really wish sometimes we could run away from this pack forever" his father said dejected.

"Papa you know we can't go rogue and we are not the only one who are being treated like this."

"I know but I can't see you like this anymore" he said tearing up.

He went to his father holding his hands firmly trying to comfort him. "Didn't you went through worse for us? And Maa had gone through this too. I am just glad they had spared you both now" he said smiling. His father wanted to say more but they heard two pairs of little feets rushing towards them which made them all alert and they wiped their tears before they entered the cottage.

"Da da.. da da..." they came inside and stopped sensing distress in the room. The little girl walked to him and looked at the man with her big brown eyes.

He said smiled at her warmly "Hey.. you are up early today. Did you guys sleep well yesterday?"

"They hurt you again" She said with sad little voice making them all tensed up.

He tried to hold her but she stepped back with tears in her eyes. "No, i just fell down yesterday night that's all" he tried to cover up.

"No no you are lying. They are bad, very bad. They always hurt you, maa and dada. I hate them. I hate all of them." She started crying.

He hugged her softly trying to comfort her. Her wished everything could change for good. Seeing her cry hurts him most. Soon he saw the boy was also in tears and he held his hand out and he came to in his embrace too as he comforted them.

"Not everyone is bad, there are good people too. See your friends they are good right?" He tried to show them good hope when inside he is losing it.

"But they are mean sometimes." The boy tried to say word correctly making elders chuckle.

"Yeah, they pull my hairs and sometimes push me around and don't let me play on swings" the girl joined in for more comments.

"Hmm, do all of them do that to you both?" The man asked them.

The kids thought seriously and nodded no. He smiled at them.

"So there are good kids like you right?" They nodded again. "Just like that there are both kind of people and you just have to be with good one and avoid bad one. Ok?" They both nodded again innocently.

"When will we get a good person?" Little girl asked with hopeful eyes.

This time mother hugged them "soon dear, goddess will soon send someone to help us." She really prayed for it with every breath she took.

He don't know it will happen or not but he wish his Maa words come true because he doubt he can go through this anymore. He hugged them back and soon left the cottage to do his daily chores before they get another chance to beat him up.
