Hello everyone, after a huge gap I am back. I know I am unable to update regularly but I am really trying to get on this. Life happened and so much on the plate. But anyways whenever I come and write here and read your views it really makes me happy. Now enough about my issues, here is the next chapter.

"Noo…" this can't be happening right now. Khushi stumbled back shocked. This can't be happening right now. There is so much going on already and at this time I can't handle this. Her wolf also agreed and was nervous about what her Nani said.

Nani looked at her freaking out as she could hear her heart racing. She held her shoulder softly. "Khushi, I know what happened wasn't your fault and I also know why you are afraid of meeting your mate but trust me Khushi, everything will change for good. I can feel the aura of your wolf has changed." She said alerting Khushi and her wolf as she looked at her curiously. Nani smiled at her and looked towards her daughter.

"What do you think that you can hide it from me?"

Aakanksha looked at her smiling. "No Maa, it's just that you didn't contact us and after that incident there was so much to handle here that I couldn't tell you about it."

Nani looked at her for a while and walked towards the backside of the temple where one can see the beauty of the valley. She took a deep breath while closing her eyes. "I know what happened last year and what is happening right now." She turns to look at them who were looking at her surprised.

"Now I feel you doubt my abilities…" she said raising her eyebrow. "Anyways, I came to know everything and also what Mahesh is doing right now. I went to the sacred mountain with your father."

"You went to the goddess mountain??" Aakanksha gaped at her mother because hardly anyone is able to reach the goddess mountain which is sacred to the werewolf kind as the goddess first time came to the land stayed in that mountain and that's from where she created all of us. Only lucky ones can reach there or to say whom the goddess calls herself.

"Yeah.. I felt her calling us. Your father and I went there and felt her presence but couldn't see her only can hear what she had to say. There was a lake where we were guided and she made us see everything. The war, the loss, and then Khushi. It's all linked to her." She said looking at Khushi.

"Something is going to happen soon and her life will change forever and that change also includes her mate. Her meeting with her mate will mark a new journey." She said proudly as her golden eyes glowed. Her wolf totally agreed with her.

Khushi looked at them both but was nervous like anything. Her wolf was also confused about nani 's foretelling. She was gifted. Well she has never been wrong, but wait, why didn't she come last time? I could have avoided everything and we wouldn't have Lost so much. So much suffering could have been ... …

Her thoughts were broken when nani held her hands and looked into her eyes with a  sorrowful emotion.

"I know what you are both thinking. Why I didn't warn you guys before that incident..Isn't it?” she looked at Aakanksha too when she looked down. She can see her wolf lying with head down in sadness as she missed her mate too. She held her one hand in hers and sighed deep.

"The Goddess didn't wish to do so."

Khushi and Aakanksha gasped in shock. "What do you mean Maa?"

"When this incident happened I didn't get any vision of it, instead I got the vision of the goddess calling me and your father to the mountain right away. And we left for the mountain where she showed what happened in your pack. Then she told us to be prepared for the biggest change in our history which is going to happen and asked us to tell you both that it's for greater cause. When we came back I took the first chance and came here."

"Did she tell you who was behind that attack?" Aakanksha asked desperately. This can help her and her baby girl both. Khushi too was anxious to know.

"No, she didn't. I wish she did." Nani sighed.

"But why didn't you come earlier? And why did you come like this secretly?" Aakanksha asked more worried about all these revelations.

"Do you really think I can tell all this in the presence of everyone? Especially with Mahesh behaving like that with you both?" She said feeling anger towards that alpha king. She looked at her daughter's sorrowful eyes. It hurt her to see her baby suffering at the hands of her soul mate, her mate. To see the little girl who should have been loved treated like a war criminal.

"Arrghh let me get my hands on him once, I will smack him hard, King or not, he is still a child for me. An arrogant fool to be precise." She huffed making her girls smile.

"Anyways, we are coming to the meeting at your place. But be careful there might be some people who are related to the attack. And Khushi as I can see you have gotten stronger but keep it low at the event. The time will come soon to unleash it. Goddess will guide you my child. Till then be strong and stay with your mate as soon as you find him. He needs you too more than you can think of.."

She said caressing her head with affection and kisses her forehead. Khushi was confused but nodded at her as her wolf barked happily at her affection.

"Khushi.. Khushi…." Nanki poked her mind link..

"Yes"

"Is everything okay? I mean it's taking very long. I don't want to anger the queen so…" he trailed nervously.

Khushi smiled inwardly at his nervousness. He always gets nervous around her mother.

"Everything is fine Nanki. We are just spending time alone. Should I ask Maa?" She pulled his leg.

"What..?? No please I didn't mean to interfere. I mean don't tell the queen please please. I was just…."

Khushi rolled her eyes inwardly. "Relax, we are coming in a while."  Khushi ended the link.

"Looks like your beta is getting curious" Nani said smirking.

"Nani you know how he is" Khushi shrugged.

"I know, they are a bunch of good pups.. Now it's time for me to go. Will see you at the meeting" She said walking towards the end of the temple.

Seeing her Nani going back something bothered Khushi "umm Nani how did you come here unnoticed? I mean no one knew apart from mom"

Nani turned smiling mischievously "you still underestimate me my little girl." She looked at Aakanksha who was sharing her mother's smile. "No one can catch me unless I want them. I am not that old" she said while winking. "Now you go my dear and pacify your team. Your mom is coming behind you after seeing me off."

Khushi understood and left after hugging Nani once more. While Nani looked at Aakanksha as her smile dimmed.

"I know what Mahesh is doing has hurt you both but trust me soon you will get back your real Mahesh. And one more thing our little girl will be meeting her mate during the meeting. Just keep in mind whatever happens that day you won't stop her doing anything and don't let anyone else stop her. That's her destiny. Now I should go before the whole search party comes in. Take care my dear." She said hugging her and kissed her forehead.  Walked towards the valley and shifted in her majestic wolf behind the tree before running off to the forest.

"I really hope whatever you said comes true Maa." Aakanksha sighed deep while going back to her daughter.

A loud crash sound echoed in decorated walls of the office. Tarun sighed as he saw another vase been broken by his alpha as he paced around in his now half destroyed office after torturing that rogue for answers. Another repair work.

"My king, I think he is just a pawn. He didn't know anything about the plan he was involved with. He just followed the orders given to him."

Mahesh stopped and looked at him glaring followed by a growl. Letting him know he is not liking it.

"Do you think I should really believe this? It was very clear it wasn't some random attack. We need to find where they came from and what they are planning? I won't let history repeat again Tarun. We need answers at any cost. Ask Narendra to do it his way. I am sure we will get something. Till then double the patrols on every border and inform me directly." He said looking towards the cold wall while tightening his fist in irritation.

"Ok, I promise I will get back to you as soon as I get any details. You need to focus on the all pack meeting coming in three days. As a king you have more things to take care of." He said eyeing the stack of files lying on a small table, thankfully saved from his wrath, near the couch.

Mahesh scowled at the files pending in front of him. "This time it's more than before. Looks like everyone has issues." He said moving towards the couch. He started looking at the files pack wise.

"How is Khushi now?"

Mahesh stilled for a while before resuming his normal posture "why do you ask?" He asked looking sternly in his eyes.

Tarun sighed at his King, how much he has changed after the incident. There was a time he never moved around anywhere without the queen and his heart, his only daughter, Khushi. Ever since that night, he changed for the worst, his childhood friend is no longer seen who was kind and compassionate. He is now a hard alpha king who doesn't listen to anyone, not anymore.

He took a deep breath and chose the next words carefully before anything sets him off.

"It's just she fought those rogues yesterday, and Queen said she couldn't dome in the morning for training soo…"

"She is fine. Anything else?" Mahesh said cutting him in between while again resuming his file work.

"Akash is coming back in the evening" He informed as he clearly got the message that he doesn't want to talk about Khushi.

Mahesh looked at him and nodded. "He is right on time before the all pack meeting. I am sure this time he has proved more worth for the next alpha king. Just get everything ready for the meeting as this time all packs are coming with bigger delegations" he said while signing other document.

"Mahesh.. I mean my king… he doesn't want this and Khushi is…" an angry warning growl resonated shutting him up.

"He is the next Alpha king and did you forget our community rules? You better not. Regarding Khushi, she will get her rightful place. I am sure she will meet her mate soon and that will be better for her." He said with a clear warning edge to stop this conversation.

Tarun stopped himself from saying anything more. Clearly he has made up his mind already.

"Check the preparation of the meeting. Make sure everything is perfect" Mahesh said resuming his work while dismissing him.

"Yes, my King" Tarun replied formally and walked outside closing the door with a heavy heart.

Smack

"Ahhh" a guy whimpered in pain as he received another blow from his master. He was tall and well built guy wearing sophisticated clothes for the dinner party but right now he doesn't look less than a monster to him. He is a monster.

"Stop crying you filthy useless garbage. Goddess only knows how I tolerate people like you. You just can't do one simple task given to you. How dare you ruin my dinner party." He growled angrily while hitting the guy again harder this time making his skin bleed more.

"Ssoo.. sorry sir.. I didn't mean to… I just.." He tried to answer but got thrashed more for replying back making him scream in pain.

"How dare you? How dare you answer me back? You worthless piece of shit. Your entire family is just a burden on this pack. I want alpha to see this and get rid of you." He smacked a bottle on his back making it shatter and pirece his skin mercilessly.

He continued to whimper and cry in pain but it was normal for him. Every little mistake of his led to this even when he didn't do anything wrong. He didn't throw the plate of the guest, it was by mistake the guest bumped into him while he was carrying food for the dinner. But his master won't listen, he never listens and decides to punish him again.

After thrashing him well he stepped back from him and stood on the door of this little room he has given his family to live. "I don't know why goddess even create people like you who can't do their work properly. Not even your mate will want you after seeing this. I will definitely talk to alpha about you. Now don't show your face till the party is over. I don't want our guests to see how pathetic losers we have in our pack." With that he banged the door shut while he whimpered in the corner healing very slowly.

He was thankful that his family was given outside chores otherwise they had to witness this yet again. He doesn't want that, especially his little ones.

"Don't know when all this will end for me and my family? Why is the goddess doing this to us. Does she really want us to die? He would have done that gladly if it wasn't for his family. Please someone help me, help us."  With these thoughts he slipped into unconsciousness where he can forget about everything even himself.
