Prologue
"You know I love you right?" He whispered into her ear.
"Love you too." She ran her hand through his hair.
"We should probably go back to the bunker." He held out his hand to her, she lightly grasped it and was pulled off the short green grass beneath her, and into the arms of the man before her.
"We should, Sam will start to worry soon." She agreed. He kissed her temple and they walked towards the Impala.
She could see the faint sunset glistening off the hood of the car, glowing a mix of yellow and orange.
Her hand grazed the side of the passenger door. She grasped the shining handle, clicking it in, she got in and shut the door behind her. Settling into the seat, the leather burning against her back and legs.
He revved up the engine, and backed out. He put his arm behind her seat and stared at her.
She laughed. "What?"
He grasped her chin.
"Your beautiful." He whispered.
He leaned in, stopping and inch from her mouth, he felt her breath.
How did I ever get someone so perfect?
He closed the gap, relishing in her so close.
She felt him smirk against her. She rested her hands against his chest, grasping the neck of his shirt and tugging down slightly.
He pulled back, reaching into his jacket pocket, he pulled out a small box.
He opened it and watched as her eyes shone and went glossy.
"Would you marry me?"
"Yes."
2 Days Later
"Amber?"
"Amber!?
"Where the hell are you?!"
He ran through the place he called home, through the cement hallways and through the cement rooms, until he reached his own.
There she stood.
"Oh thank god, listen Amber. We need to leave, now."
She stood.
"There's no time to explain."
She tilted her head.
"Amber?"
She looked at her hands, covered in thick, dark blood.
"Are you ok?"
She laughed.
"Oh Dean, if only you understood what she was going through right now."
He took a step back. "What are you-"
She blinked. Black soulless eyes stared back at him.
"She loved you, Dean. She was scared to tell you."
"Tell me what?" He demanded, his tone too harsh for how he would talk to her.
Though, she wasn't really her, was she?
"You were oblivious for months, her endless pain."
Another laugh.
"Hell, you though she was just sick."
The sentence stayed still in the air. Dean didn't know what to do.
"Amber, I know your in there." He reasoned. "Do you remember? We can cure this."
She rolled her eyes. "A little latin and a whole lot of blood."
She smiled. "Don't you think that if I wanted to be cured, I wouldn't have left?"
Dean's head spun, this was all too familiar to him.
"She was pregnant, Dean."
"No..-"
"She was going to leave you anyway, demon or not."
"You're lying." He tried to convince himself. But part of him knew that this was true.
"Do you really think, that anyone smart would let their child be raised by a hunter? They'd be dead before there A, B, C's."
"Amber, I know you want to come back, fight this." He felt like he could choke on his own air.
"Does any of this sound familiar to you, Dean? All this talk of not wanting to be cured? Leaving you're family because you though you were doing what was best?"
He didn't dare say a word, he refused to admit to what she was hinting at.
"The monster inside of her, is yours."
She grabbed a knife from the back of he jeans, and held it to her neck.
"Amber, fight damn it!" He stepped forward, she held out her hand and he fell to the floor.
He looked up with pleading eyes.
"The demon inside you, when Sam thought it was gone, I just left. I waited for the perfect time to destroy your life."
He looked down at the floor, a single tear fell.
"What better way than to take away your wife to be and baby mama?"
She toyed with the knife.
"Hey, " She lightly kicked at Dean. "Aren't you going to try and stop this?"
He paused.
"No.."
"Wow," She sighed. "You really are cold blooded."
When he looked up, her body fell the the floor and was drowning it in thick blood.
"Amber, forgive me."
