Donghyuck grabbed two jackets from the back of the couch since it was a little cold out and walked over to Renjun, holding the plastic bag full of food in one hand with the olders jacket in the other. He set down the bag and began to put the jacket onto the older, a fond smile on his face.

"Don't want our Injun to catch a cold hm?" Renjun couldn't help the blush on his cheeks as he nodded, another silence settling between them.

"So what did you think of that Mark kid?" He suddenly asked, trying to keep his voice level. Donghyuck shrugged, standing in front of him and zipping up his jacket.

"I don't know. Seems like a nice guy to be honest." Renjun hummed in agreement.

"Yea... Just be careful. People aren't always who they seem." Donghyuck nodded before picking back up the bag of food with a smile to the other boys around the room.

"Everyone ready?" He asked. Everyone around the room gave a nod. "Alright then, let's get going. These sandwiches won't eat themselves."

🚨

The sun was down and the moon was up by the time they returned later.

Jaemin smiled to himself as he laid out on the couch, eyes close and lollipop resting between his lips. He let out a content sigh and turned his head to look at the others. Jeno pulling on his fingerless bike gloves with determination in his gaze while Donghyuck stood with his hands in his pockets. Jisung and Chenle sat a little ways off on the floor playing Sonic on the Sega while Renjun stood next to the couch where Jaemin was.

"So then, a clean race. Whoever wins gets to be the next to race against EXO." Donghyuck said with a smirk. Jeno raised a brow.

"Okay.. What's the catch?" He asked, knowing it couldn't be that easy. The youngers smile widened.

"The loser has to take everyone out for drinks and not have any for himself." Jaemin scoffed from his spot on the couch, standing up and walking over to them, taking the lollipop from his mouth.

"Then Jeno you better fucking win. I've never seen you shit face drunk and I'd kinda like to.." Jeno chuckled.

"Alright fine. Winner gets to have the clubhouse to himself for the day?" Renjun gagged from his spot by the couch before approaching with crossed arms.

"No. Absolutely not you and Jaemin would just fuck like rabbits all day." Jaemin slapped the olders bicep, smiling playfully at the smaller one who chuckled. Donghyuck shook his head.

"Yeah, none of that... Maybe the winner gets full control over the last of the money?" All three of the others nodded. Donghyuck smiled. "Good. Now, partners, or are me and Jen racing solo?" Jaemin lit up.

"Please do partners!! I swear it's been forever since I got to ride with Jen.." He whined. Jeno laughed and nodded.

"Let's do partners. Come on Hyuck we haven't raced like that for a while." Renjun smiled at Jeno's words.

"Yeah! Let's do this! Renhyuck vs. Nomin-"

"Jaeno." Jaemin said. Jeno shook his head.

"Nope. You're such a bottom. Nomin." Jaemin huffed.

"Fine. Let's just race already.." He muttered with a pout. Jeno chuckled and nodded before walking out the door, Jaemin and Donghyuck following closely behind. Renjun turned to where Jisung and Chenle were playing games and smiled.

"We'll be back in a bit. Stay inside, don't answer the door, you know the drill." He said. Chenle gave a mindless nod and Jisung replied.

"Got it." His mouth hanging open a bit as he focused on the game. Renjun sighed and shook his head, following the others out to the vehicles.

"Goddamn it!!" Jisung shouted. Chenle laughed at his friend who had just lost and ruffled his hair.

"That's alright Ji. You'll get it eventually." Jisung nodded.

"You're getting really good though. Just a little longer and I bet you'll be able to beat anyone in the championships you wanna enter." Chenle laughed, a light shade of pink dusting his cheeks.

"No, I've still got a while to go. But I'll get there one day." He said with a nod. He furrowed his brows and looked at Jisung. "By the way what did Renjun say?" Jisung shrugged.

"Probably just something about not getting into the food again.." Chenle nodded.

"Okay. Anyways, want a rematch?"

🚨

"So the cheater wants a fair race, huh?" Jeno muttered to himself with a smirk as he sat down on his motorcycle. Jaemin chuckled and sat down behind him, wrapping his arms around the olders waist.

"You're hot when you get competitive.." He said lowly as he rested his head on the olders shoulder. Jeno blushed a bit and chuckled.

"Is that so?"

"Mhm.." Jeno looked over into the car to see Donghyuck who nodded to him before pulling out of his parking space. "And so is he." Jaemin said to Jeno with a smirk. The older just let out an airy chuckle and followed Donghyuck, both of them stopping where they would pull completely out of the parking lot. Donghyuck rolled down his window and leaned out.

"Where we racing to?" He yelled over the roar of their engines. Jeno shrugged.

"Close or far?"

"Far."

"Okay, then how bout the roof of the old parking garage?" He suggested. Donghyuck nodded.

"Got it. Dont get hurt soft little puppy boy." Jeno scoffed.

"Sure whatever pudu." Donghyuck shrugged.

"At least I'm cute."

"At least I can bite!"

"At least I-"

"Would you two shut it!" Renjun suddenly said. "God let's race already!" Donghyuck chuckled and sat back in his seat.

"On the count of three, we go. Got it?" Jeno nodded.

"One-" he gripped onto the handles tighter.

"Two-" Donghyuck put the car into gear.

"Three!" All at once, the only sounds to be heard were the screeching of Donghyuck's car making a sharp turn and the roar of Jeno's bike racing down the road. The older could practically hear Jaemin's smile as they drove well over the speed limit through the streets.

"You love riding just as much as racing don't you Jaem." The younger hummed in response.

"Of course. You did say I was a bottom-"

"We'll beat their asses. You gotta win Hyuck!" Renjun cheered as he peered through the front windshield at the bike. The younger chuckled and turned off the road, heading through one of the alleys. "Where are we going? The garage is that way."

"Shortcut." That was all Donghyuck said before screeching down the concrete path. He made another turn, driving up a thin wooden ramp quickly, barely fast enough before it collapsed behind them.

"Holy shit. That was awesome!!" Renjun exclaimed, pressing his face against the glass of the window to look out at the vast and empty garage. There was a story his father used to tell him when he was younger of two gangs that had a big battle in a garage like the one they were in.

He smiled warmly at the memory. His father always told the best most vivid stories...

Looking ahead of them again he screamed, Donghyuck coming to a halt and peering out the windshield.

A part of the old concrete must've caved in, creating a hole big enough for them to fall right through- and they almost did.

With an airy laugh, Donghyuck turned to Renjun.

"Well that could've been-" both of them turned when they heard the roar of Jeno's bike go by them. "Shit.." He backed up quickly and pressed down on the gas pedal, speeding after the other two.

Jaemin chuckled as they sped by, that chuckle turning to a loud laugh as they went up the next ramp.

"We're gonna win we're gonna win!!" He exclaimed. Jeno just smiled, speeding up even faster as they went up the last ramp.

Once at the top he stopped the bike with a screech, sliding a bit and placing his foot down to stop fully. Donghyuck came driving up only moments after, huffing as he and Renjun got out of the car.

"Fine.. You win." He groaned. Jeno let out a laugh and got off the motorcycle, Jaemin already off. He took off his gloves and walked over to the barricade surrounding the top, leaning over it and looking out at the busy city a little ways off. Soon enough Renjun, Jaemin, and Donghyuck joined him. He let out a sigh as he gazed at the warm glowing lights.

"Do you think we could live there someday?" Renjun asked breathlessly. Jaemin shook his head.

"Not a chance." Jeno gave him a playful shove. "Hey!"

"Yes, Renjun. I bet we will." The eldest sighed and turned away, sitting down and resting his head back against the barricade. Soon Jaemin and Donghyuck did the same, all sitting on the concrete in silence. Jeno continued to look out at the city, his smile turning to a frown as he looked at its beauty. The dazzling lights, the welcoming glow- he wished he could go there. He wished he could take his boys out there. He wanted to take all five of them out there to see things, do things- actually experience something more than basic survival for once. Racing was the last thing the older four had to enjoy anymore, Chenle always having the gaming systems and Jisung always occupied close to him. It made sense though considering how they met. Jisung trusted Chenle with his life because he had already saved it once.

But Jeno wanted to leave all their horrible pasts behind. He had always vowed that as soon as he could afford it he would get them an apartment in the city.

And he planned to keep that promise.

"Hey, No jam." Jeno turned his head to see Donghyuck standing there. "You coming?" Jeno turned around to see Renjun already in the car again and Jaemin getting on the back of the bike. He let out a sigh and nodded.

"Yeah.." He said. "Gimme a minute, I need to think.. Drive Jaemin for me will you?" The younger nodded hesitantly.

"Are you sure? It's dangerous to be out alone at night.."

"I'll be alright. Go back to the clubhouse first to check on the other two, see if they wanna go. I'll meet you at the bar." Donghyuck gave one final nod before he turned and walked over to the others, telling them what was happening. They all got into Donghyuck's car and drove off, leaving Jeno to his thoughts just as he wanted.

He closed his eyes and reluctantly pulled a pack of cigarettes from his jacket pocket. He couldn't smoke around them, he didn't want them to do the same. It was bad enough that Jaemin had problems, the last thing he needed was more addicts. He pulled out his lighter and watched the small flame flicker for a moment, the quiet crackle of the cigarette filling the air. He inhaled deeply, feeling it burn in his lungs for a moment before exhaling. He really really needed a better plan.

Working two part-time jobs as well as juggling school, his home responsibilities, teaching Renjun when he could, and taking care of the other boys, it was a lot for one man to do. Donghyuck had taken up a job as well at some old cafe but it still wasnt enough to keep four boys fed and clothed. He thanked the heavens that Donghyuck's parents at least took care of him, which made one last person for him to feed. He knew that he himself wasn't eating enough, sometimes he just didn't have time, sometimes he didn't have money. His mom had stopped trying to care for him since he began leaving all the time to be with the others. But he didnt blame her. He was just thankful he could still sleep in his bed at home when he wanted.

He hadnt planned on smoking as much of the cigarette as he did, dropping it onto the concrete and stepping on it, grinding down his heel to put it out.

"He's right you know. It's dangerous to be out here at night alone." Jeno turned around, hands in his pockets to look at who had spoken. A boy who looked a bit older than himself, black hair a bit disheveled, gray shirt stained with splotches of red near the collar. His nose was bleeding and there was a cut on his arm that ran from his elbow down to his wrist. He sniffled and wiped at his nose with his good hand. Jeno just looked at him with narrowed eyes, weary of the boy in front of him.

"Care to lend me one?" He asked, gesturing to Jeno's pocket. He nodded a bit, pulling one out and tossing it to the other who pulled out a lighter and lit it. He nodded. "Did that cute friend of yours talk about me?" He said with a smirk.

Jeno didn't appreciate the comment about his 'cute friend'.

"Which one." The older chuckled.

"That Donghyuck boy. Although all of them are rather attractive. Even you." He said, breathing out a cloud of smoke and walking over to the barricade, he leaned over it with a small smile. "He really is just so cute though."

"Keep your hands off him or so help me you'll get it." Jeno suddenly said, his gaze darkening. The other turned with a chuckle and held his hands up.

"Oh of course not. I would never touch without permission." Jeno huffed and glared at the older.

"Good. You stay away from all of my boys Mark. I don't want the trouble you bring coming near any of them. Are we clear?" Mark scoffed.

"Jeez, sorry, didn't know you needed five hoes to yourself kid. Can't you share just the little cute one?" Jeno really didn't like this guy.

"Is that all you see in them?" He growled. Mark just laughed bitterly and gave a small nod. Jeno stepped forward and grabbed onto the olders collar, pulling him close and looking deeply into his dark eyes, agaze so piercing it stung. "I'll repeat myself. Keep your filthy hands off of my boys or that little dick of yours will become useless. Got it?" He growled. Mark nodded frantically.

"Yes! Yes, I got it! Jesus Jen.." Jeno dropped him and huffed.

"Good." He said before walking to his motorcycle. He got on and shook his head, putting up the kickstand before racing down the ramp. Mark just chuckled as he went, shaking his head and wiping more blood that had trickled down from his nose.

"What a dick..."
