Lucy took a deep breath as she stared in the full-length mirror. She wouldn't deny she looked lovely. Gorgeous, as Levy said. But the beating of her heart wasn't in joy. No. It was the opposite. It was in fear and another emotion she couldn't figure out.

Her white wedding dress trailed back, far, decorated with pearls and diamonds. Her thin waist curved in an almost invisible belt. Her golden hair was twirled into a elegant bun. Trickles of small, wavy hair fell onto her exposed shoulders. The puffy sleeves stopped just after her elbows. The neckline was modest yet still gave shape to her large, full breasts. The white, transparent veil with a gold tiara, fell over her angelic face. Light, pink lipstick adored her kissable lips. Pink blush had been brushed onto her cheekbones. It was simple yet beautiful. It made her look proud and strong, yet graceful and innocent.

But she felt weak.

It was her wedding day, but she had never been less happy. Dan Straight. Her future husband. He wasn't a bad person. Actually, he was quite nice. It was just...she felt nothing towards him. His nicknames of Lulu' and 'Lu-pi' did nothing to flutter her heart. His handsome smiles never made her blush or avert her eyes. And that made her feel bad.

Was it wrong that she couldn't find it in herself to love him? That even after years into her marriage, she doublets she would ever feel love towards it? She couldn't stop the thoughts swirling in her mind.

"Lucy?" The soon bride-to-be turned her head to the now open door. A bluenette and red head stood at the entrance, eyes full of worry. Levy and Erza. Her best friends and bridesmaids.

"Levy. Erza. You look lovely." She tried to ignore the tightness in her own voice but it was clearly evident. Her friends obviously heard it.

"Lu..." The short girl made her way forward followed by the other after she closed the door. "How are you feeling?"

"A-a bit nervous. Nothing a smile can't fix." She lied. Nervous was a bad word to use.

Erza placed a hand on her shoulder. "Don't lie to us Lucy. I know your scared as hell."

"I-"

"You don't want this. You never have."

The lump in her throat grew as her steady breath turned ragged. "W-what can I do? I'm here. I'm in this dress. I just need to go in there and say yes. There's nothing I can do...nothing."

"But Lucy-"

"This is for the sake of the company. It's a good thing. I'm sure Dan and I will be fine. It's for a good reason and I won't lose anything in the process. I can-"

"EXCEPT YOUR FREEDOM LUCY! You've worked too damn hard! Dreamed too damn much! You can't just let it all go! You can't let all that work and dreams go to waste for the sake of your dad's flipping company! It isn't your responsibly! You need to be free! You need to do what YOU want and be what YOU want! Don't let your father decide who you aught to be! If that's what this life will give you then SCREW IT FUCKING ALL! Let you decide your own fate!" Levy screamed to the blonde. Heavy breathing resulting after her long rant.

Lucy's throat felt dry. The blue haired girls words stuck in her mind and made its way to her heart.

"L-levy...what are y-you saying?"

"Isn't it obvious Lucy?" Erza started with a soft smile." Run."

Her brown eyes widened. Wha-

"Run away as far as you can, don't look back. Be free no matter what the cost will be. You deserve that at the least Lucy. To be honest, you deserve that fairy tale were always laughing at. You deserve a Prince Charming who can sweep you of your feet. You deserve someone who will fight a dragon for you. You deserve true love. I know that sounds cheesy but it's the truth Lucy. So run. Your mom would want this for you."

"B-but Erza...Levy...how? How can I. I'm n-not prepared...I can't just r-run like this." 'Yes. Momma would want this for me.'

"We got you covered there Lu." Levy replied with a hint of pride in her voice. She picked up a large, black backpack that was hidden under a table. It looked full to the rim and her name was stitched in gold at the front.

"Huh?"

"Me and Erza have had this packed for days in case you couldn't take the plunge. Guess it was a good idea."

"I don't get it."

"It's kinda a survival kit." The taller girl in pink began. "It's got everything you'll need for out there. Clothes, beauty products, medical kit, new phone, credit card and a knife just in case."

"Wait! Why do I need a new phone and credit card? I have a phone and I have a good deal of money already." She questioned in pure confusion.

"Listen Lucy. When your gone, they will try and find you. They could try and detect you by your phone or by your credit card. That's why it's important you needed new ones." Her small mouth formed an 'o' in understanding. (A\N: In case you didn't know. Police can call your phone and find your location. Same with when you use your credit card.)

"How much money is on that card?"

"£70,000. " Her friend answered as if it was nothing.

"£70,000! I'm the rich one girls! How did you get this?! Wait...don't tell me it's yours?"

The guilty looks answered her question for her. "We split it."

"Girls! I can't-"

"Lucy." A stern voice from outside made them freeze." Are you ready yet?" Her father. Jude Heartfillia.

"Uh! She's just in the bathroom sir. Give us five more minutes!" Erza improvised.

"Fine. I'll be back in five minutes. Make sure she is ready."

"Yes Mr Heartfillia!"

They waited silently for the footsteps to disappear before they nearly jumped on the blonde.

"Lucy! You need to go NOW!"

"Bu-"

"Now is not the time! We put our numbers on your phone and the general ones. Call when you've got away from here! Now go! We've called a taxi."

Tears spring to her eyes. "Thank you. Thank you so much! I love you both!"

"We love you you Lu, NOW GO! Through the back!"

Without another word, Lucy grabbed the heavy backpack and ran. They where high up so she had to run down the stairs in a hurry, careful not to trip. The weight on her chest loosened as she ran further and further down.

The rain was pouring when she made it outside. A black taxi was parked just a bit to the right. She yanked the handle open as jumped inside. The pink haired driver raised an eyebrow at the image in his back seat.

"Where will it be ma'am?"

"Ride. Fast. Far." She panted. A bright grin appeared on his handsome face.

"Just my kind of ride!" He exclaimed before slamming his foot down on the pedal.
