Who sent me this? Why so late? What's so important?

These thoughts kept repeating in my head as I walked up to the astronomy tower. When I got there it was about 9:40 and I was alone. I laid down to look at the stars admiring how beautiful they were from this point.

As I was admiring the stars I heard footsteps coming up the stairs behind me and then an awkward cough. I turned around to see Theodore behind me.

"Hey y/n" he said with an awkward smile as he sat next to me. "Hey Theo" I said as I sat up. "So this is probably weird for you-" he started "I mean kind of we haven't really talked much" I said interrupting him slightly.

"I get it" he nodded "I just really need your help." I looked at him and raised a brow "with what?" I asked and he started to fiddle with his fingers "you're Pansy's best friend and I just wanted to make our first kiss special and we almost kissed tonight but it was ruined by that Neville boy," he glared and shook his head as he said Neville's name before starting again "I now know how I feel about her and I just want to know as her best friend" he took a deep breath "if you know how she pictures her first kiss? Cause I wanna make it the most special kiss she'll ever have." He said a small smile on his face as he looks down.

I look at him as a big smile creeps across my face "AHHHH YES I KNEW IT!" I yelled slightly before doing a little happy dance. Theo looked at me and laughed before shaking his head. "I take that as you'll help me?" He asked and I nodded "Duh of course I'll help. Meet me tomorrow during lunch in the library." I said with a smile before standing up, Theo standing up as well.

"Thank you so much, y/n" he said pulling me into a hug which I hug him back before pulling away and looking at him seriously "don't hurt my best friend, okay?" I say as a point an angry finger at him and he nods quickly "yes ma'am!" We then laugh and head back to the dorms.

The next morning at breakfast, I walk down with Enzo because Pansy was taking too long to get ready. Once Enzo and I sat down I looked over at Theo who winked at me and I just laughed slightly at him.

I looked away and then at Mattheo who was giving both of us a weird look before I smiled at him and started to eat.

Soon enough Pansy came down and sat across from me between Mattheo and Theo. "Took you long enough" I said laughing at her. "Oh don't start" she joked as she grabbed a piece of toast and some jam.

"So y/n where'd you go last night?" Pansy asks before taking a bite of her toast as I choke on a strawberry. "Uhm nowhere..just to take a small walk" I lied slightly because I did take a small walk to get to the astronomy tower. Pansy raised her eyebrow as she looked at me and then a small smirk on her face. "Did you sneak out to see a boy?" She said cheekily and I shook my head quickly "nope no boys were seen on my walk" I said trying to sound serious. I looked over at Theo who looked at me with concern as if our cover was about to be blown and then Pansy shrugged and said "okay, I believe you." I sighed and then before I could continue eating I see Mattheo looking between me and Theo one more time and his eyes widened before he stood up and walked out.

"What was that about?" Pansy asked as we watched Mattheo angrily walk away. I looked at Theo and tilted my head in an attempts to hint for him to go talk to him but the boy was clueless. "Uhm I don't know. Maybe Theo should go ask" I said looking at the stupid boy in front of me, placing exclamations on his name before he mouthed 'oh' and stood up. "Oh yeah, uhm I'll be back" he then quickly walked out after Mattheo and I sighed and put my head in my hand.

I looked up eventually after feeling a hand rub my back, it was Enzo. He looked back at me and smiled before suggesting we go to the hallway to talk about what just happened, I'm guessing Mattheo wasn't the only one who noticed Theo and my interaction.

I said goodbye to Pansy, Draco, and Blaise as Enzo and I made our way out into the hallway. We walk down the hallway towards the common room since class doesn't start for another half hour. As we walk I look at him and he smiles his adorable smile at me.

"So you gonna tell me what's up between you and Theo?" He asks and I sighed "you can't tell anyone okay?" I started and he raised a brow before nodding and then I started telling him about the plan for Theo to kiss Pansy and how he asked me for help last night. Enzo's eyes widened and he hugged me out of joy "Our Pansy is finally getting her first kiss!" He said excitedly "don't ever tell her I was this excited for her though or I'll deny it and throw you into the lake" he said seriously before breaking back into a smile. I nodded and laughed at him as we continued to the common room, him swinging his arm around my shoulders as we walk, talking about random things that we haven't had time to talk about since school started.

As we grew closer to the common room we heard yelling and then as we walked in we realized what was happening. Theo and Mattheo were in a full blown argument.

Mattheos pov

I looked between Y/n and Theo as I saw their looks and listened to what Pansy said I couldn't help but get upset. I pieced two and two together. They met up last night and it angered me. I don't know why but it did.

I stood up and walked out. I just needed a minute. Theo was supposed to like Pansy what happened? As I was walking down the hall I hear Theo yell my name. His voice only makes me more upset.

I continue walking towards the common room when I feel a hand grab my shoulder. "Mattheo," Theo starts while panting, I guess he had to run after me to catch up. "What?" I say anger clear in my voice. Theo pulls his hand off my shoulder and stands up straight "what's wrong, man?" He asks and I just glare at him. "Nothing." I say and continue walking "c'mon man we've been friends since we were four. What's wrong?" I just stop and look at him "are you serious?" I speak calmly even though I'm fuming and I don't know why. "Yeah?" He asks confused "How are you and Y/n gonna hook up when you said you liked Pansy" was all I could spit out. I was upset for Pansy that was all. I knew she liked Mattheo and y/n was her best friend. That's why I'm upset. That's the reason.

"Hook up with y/n?" He laughed "what's so funny?" I raise an eyebrow trying not to punch him "I never hooked up with her that's gross" he said still laughing "then what were those looks you guys kept sharing?" I asked trying to stay calm but I was so confused. "I can't tell you right now but you'll know eventually" he says winking at me still laughing and I just break. "You can't tell me? YOU CAN'T TELL ME?" I ask angrily "I'M SUPPOSED TO BE YOUR BEST FRIEND BUT YOU CANT TELL ME??" I yell again, Theo's smile fading. "Look dude I promise it's good... I just don't wanna ruin the plan" he says sadly "Why can't you tell me the plan? You know I can keep a secret." I say trying not to yell at him again.

As soon as those words left my lips, Enzo and Y/n walked in. The smiles from whatever they were talking about fading at the scene in front of them. Theo also faced them and sent a small reassuring smile to y/n's worried face. Their interactions upsetting me more, I want to believe Theo but what the fuck does y/n have to do with him and Pansy?

"Theo I think you should just tell him what's up. I told Enzo.." y/n said and Theo looked up at me and then back at her before nodding "upstairs" he said before walking towards our room.

Once in our room I sat down while y/n and Enzo sat on Enzo's bed across the room. Theo stood in the middle of the room before telling me about how he asked y/n for help with his plan to kiss Pansy and how they were trying to keep it a surprise. I immediately felt like an asshole.

Y/n's Pov

We all were sat in the boys dorm as Theo explained his plan to an angry looking Mattheo. What was his problem? Mattheos features immediately softened when Theo explained everything to him. I hope he felt stupid for the way he treated Theo for no reason.

Mattheo ended up apologizing and hugging Theo wishing him luck with the Pansy plan. He looked at me as he hugged Theo and his eyes softened as if almost apologizing to me as well. I glared at him before taking Enzo's hand and walking out, dragging the boy behind me with a confused look on his face.

"Y/n where are we going?" He asked "Class you idiot" I stated and he quickly caught up pace with me. "I know that but why'd you drag me out like that? And what was that angry look you sent to Mattheo?" He said and I sighed stopping to face him. "I'm just irritated he overreacted like that for no reason when Theo is trying to do something so sweet. Why can't he just trust his best friend?" That was all I said before Theo looked at me and pulling me to a stop. "Y/n are you okay?" He asked as if examining my face for anything that could be related to why I'm acting like this. "I'm fine" I sighed "the argument just got me heated is all" I smiled at him and he nodded slowly "just promise to tell me if something is wrong" he said and I nodded before continuing off to class.

Once in class I let go of his hand and walked to my seat at the back of Potions class. Snape wasn't there yet and neither was Theo or Mattheo. I smiled at Pansy before winking at her and taking my seat and just as Snape walked in so did Theo and Mattheo. Mattheo took his seat next to me, he looks at me with sad eyes and I turn away. I don't want to deal with him right now.

Luckily we weren't doing partner work today just some reading on ingredients so I didn't have to talk to Mattheo. Towards the end of class Snape gave us a test on the reading and I quickly finished my test before packing up and walking out and as soon as I did I knew someone else had followed behind me.

I sped up and as I was about to turn a corner a hand grabbed my wrist and pinned me against the wall. I gasp as my back hits the wall behind me and before I can scream a hand covers my mouth. "Hey it's just me" I look up to see Mattheo and as we make eye contact he uncovers my mouth. "What do you want?" I say glaring at him angrily.

Who did he think he was pushing me against the wall like that?

"I just wanted to apologize for earlier." He stated while staring down at me. "I don't want you apology" was all I said as I looked up at him, now noticing the height difference between us as he towered over me. "I'm still sorry, I shouldn't have yelled at Theo or questioned your friendship like that" he spoke softly never breaking eye contact, I felt as though I would melt if I stared back into his eyes any longer. What am I thinking??? I looked away and down the hall "alright I forgive you. Now get off me." I say pushing him back slightly but he doesn't move.

"Do you mean it?" He asked and I looked up at him again "mean what?" I raised an eyebrow and looked away again, only for him to lift my face gently to face him "do you actually forgive me?" He asked his face slightly closer than before and all I could think about was his breath against my skin "uhmm.... y-yeah" I said as I looked into his beautiful brown eyes. "Okay then!" He smiled and backed up. I sighed in relief? At least I think I was relieved although I believe part of me wanted him to stay close to me like the way he was just a second ago.

All of a sudden I see our friends walking in our direction and I compose myself. I stand up straight and fix my hair as Mattheo and I wait for them to catch up.

"How'd you guys finish so early?" Blaise asked "the test was so difficult" he pouted "it's not so hard if you actually read the book, Blaise" I said giggling at his cute little pout. "Whatever" he rolled his eyes jokingly and smiled at me and then linked his arm with mine. "Wanna read the book and tell me what it says? I'll pay you" he asks with the stupidest smile on his face "As tempting as that is, I'm good." I laughed and then looked up at Enzo who was on my other side. I slightly bumped into him jokingly as I tried to get his attention.

"What's up?" He smiled at me and I just shrugged "Just wanted to know if you'd come with me to the library later?" I asked to which he nodded "of course, no need to ask. I'd follow you anywhere" he said jokingly, making me laugh. The bestest friend a girl could ask for.

Two classes later and it was time for lunch. Enzo was already waiting for me as I walked out of class. "Did you get out of class early?" I asked sending him a smile as I walked over to him. "Nah I just skipped, I didn't feel like going to flying lessons when I already know how to fly" he stated and I shook my head before grabbing his hand and walking to the library with him.

As soon as we entered the library I dragged Enzo over to a table and waited for Theo to arrive. Theo ended up bringing Mattheo with him as well. "Soooo Hawkins you got any ideas?" Theo says getting straight to the point. I laugh before answering "A few.... Pansy really loves the color green and her favorite flower is white roses. I was thinking we could set up the common room with a bunch of white roses petals and a few roses around as the common room is probably the greenest room in the school." I say and Theo nods "but how do we get the students to stay out?" Enzo asks questioning my brilliant idea as I roll my eyes "That's where you and Mattheo come in. Y'all are scary you can get the other students to stay out for an hour" I say and look between the two who share a smile. "I get to yell at other students?" They ask and I nod "Only to keep them out tho" I say sternly staring between the two.

"So Saturday?" I ask and they all nod. We stand up and as we head for the door I noticed Mattheo staring at something. I looked down to notice him staring at mine and Enzo's hands intertwined, we never let go once we arrived and I'm so used to holding his now I had completely forgotten. I looked back at Mattheo who finally looked away and walked after Theo.
Is he upset I was holding hands with Enzo?

It was Friday night and I heard a peck at my window once again inviting my owl in and giving her a treat as I took a note from her.

Y/n,

Meet me in the astronomy tower asap so we can go over the plan.

I sighed as I was once again about to go to bed. I threw on my shoes and a jacket and headed for the astronomy tower, making sure not to be caught by Filch.

I winded up the stairs to the top of the tower to see three boys in front of me. Theo, Mattheo and Enzo. They were all facing the opposite way from me and I took that as an opportunity to scared them. I slowly came up between Mattheo and Enzo and yelled 'Boo' in their ears, making them both jump in fright. I laughed hysterically as did Theo at their reactions to which both just frowned at me.

"Not funny" Enzo said and I just continued laughing "it was a little funny" I said composing myself with a smile on my face. "Alright now what else needs to be done?" I asked and they all shrugged "you all made me get out of bed and everything you can think of is already taken care of?" I asked dumbfounded to which they all noded. I slapped the boys in the back of the head before signing and sitting down to look at the stars. I was already here why waste the chance to take in the view.

The boys all sat next to me before I sighed "if it was my first kiss I'd want it under this type of view" I said before feeling Enzo grab my hand and squeeze it tightly "it's so beautiful" he said staring at the stars with me. I once again notice eyes on my interlocked hands with Enzo's and knew right away Mattheo was staring. I let go of Enzo's hand as I looked over at Mattheo who once seeing our hands let go, met my gaze. He stared at for a minute before I looked away. I knew that if I looked at him any longer I'd blush, I wasn't the one for long eye contact it made me embarrassed.

Eventually we all snuck back to our dorms ready for the next afternoon, where we'd get my best friend her first kiss with the boy she liked.
