https://youtu.be/YaG-Oa-qK58
"The Following Contest is Scheduled foooor ONE FALL!... and is for... the N! X! T! CHAMPIONSHIIIP! Introducing first, on his way to the ring, THEEE CZAAAR OF NXT... IIIILJA DRRRRRRAGUNOOOOV!!!" Dragunov performed his conductor's dance as he walked confidently to the ring. The fearless Russian, "Unbeisigbar"... which translates to "Invincable", Truly the Czar was feeling quite "Unbeisigbar" with is recent success on NXT. And here, this match, was to be his swan song of dominance. Will Dragunov become the new champ...?
https://youtu.be/kQhdwd8ObrA
...Or will the Iron will of the Archangel himself prove too strong? Dalton stood with his back to the crowd, until the words "I'M AWAKE! I'M ALIVE!" Blared, at which he thrust his arms out to the side, like an Angel spreading it's glorious wings. Pyrotechnics flared to life, exploding with a magestic burst of light, as Fire shot up from the side of the ramp. Dalton took one final deep breath, then began his unusually anxious walk to the ring. Yes, there was stress. He was opening Survivor Series, and he hadn't been in the comapny longer than two years! Daniel felt a smile creep across his face, despite this. Dragunov was always one of his dream opponents, and here he was... Dream about to become Reality. but would this Dream be the Iron Angel's worst Nightmare? We're about to find out! It's time for the bell to ring!
DING DING DING!
Instead of instantly going for an attack, Dragunov offeres a hand to Dalton. The champion doesn't hesitate to shake his hand, and when he pulls his hand back, the two men then start circling each other. They hadn't done anything yet, and the crowd was already chanting "HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!" Dragunov made the first move, attempting a grapple on Dalton, but Daniel was quick. Dalton struck Ilja in the shin, dodged his next grapple attempt, then landed a kick to the back of the knee, followed by a swift knee to the back. Dragunov was momentarily stunned against the ropes, as he looked up at Dalton and grinned. Daniel had his hands up, as if in boxing position, and jumped back and forth in place. He'd done his homework, He knew Dragunov's style, and he was damn sure ready to counter it. Dalton allowed Dragunov to regain his balance, and at last, the two locked up, with Ilja immediately going to a rear waistlock, but Dalton was prepared for this, preventing Dragunov's hands from locking! He twisted the arm of the Czar, then kicked backwards, landing a shot to the shin of the challenger yet again! Dalton kept the pressure on, as he took a step back before rocking Dragunov with a thrust kick! Daniel was hoping to make this quick, as any Opening Dragunov has would mean VERY bad news for him! Daniel charges forward, looking for a Wheelbarrow Stunner...
But Dragunov Intercepts him, seemless transition into a German Suplex, which was strong enough to make Dalton over-rotate and land on his chest! Dragunov rose as Dalton had the wind knocked out of him, causing the champion to roll to the outside! Dragunov felt the tension, he felt the energy of this wild crowd, who was eating up every moment of this match! It hadn't was really starting to pick up! Dragunov bounces off the ropes, suicide di- OOH! DALTON CAUGHT THE DIVE WITH A STUNNER, OUT OF MIDAIR!! How the hell did Daniel Dalton pull THAT off?!
"AWWWW SHUCKY DUCKY QUACK QUACK, WHAT A STUNNAH, AND I KNOW STUNNAH'S, VIC JOSPEH!" Booker T exclaimed loudly on commentary.
The move seemed to take just as much out of Dalton as it did Dragunov, and the two slowly made it back to their feet, only this time, dispite some wobbly knees, they began trading stiff chops to the chest! The "Smack!" noises almost echoed through the arena, and the crowd let out an enthusiastic "Woo!" with every strike! Dalton eventually got an upper hand, landing a knee to the jaw before tossing Ilja back into the ring! Dalton jumped up to the apron, looking for a springboard maneuver, but Ilja was ready and caught him on his shoulders! Death Valley Driver, center of the ring! Dragunov makes the cover! One! Tw- Kickout by the champion at one and a half! Dragunov stands, calling for Dalton to do the same. Daniel was surprised that the challenger let him get to his feet. The two men stood, center of the ring, with red welts appearing on both mens' chests from the striking war they were engaged in.
Dragunov makes the first move, landing another big chop! Daniel momentarily clutches his chest, then turns around, moving right into a spinning forearm, which makes Dragunov take a step back, but only to come back and counter with a jumping boot to the chest! Daniel staggers to the ropes, but then rushes back with a discus knee strike! Dragunov then staggers towards the ropes, but suddenly regains his senses and seemingly tries for the Constantine special, but Dalton catches him on the rebound with a Spanish Fly!
Daniel could feel the win in his grasp, helll he could practically taste it! He beckons Dragunov back to his feet, rushing in, looking for his 360 codebreaker known as "Heaven's Light", but Dragunov anticipated this, and counters into a teardrop/saito Suplex that leaves the champion in a heap! The champ's in trouble, as Dragunov climbs to the top rope, directing the crowd before yelling "Pobeda za mnoy!" (Translation, it's Russian: "Victory is Mine!"). Dragunov Leaped off the top rope wanting the diving senton, only for Dalton to get his knees up, Dragunov lands right on the kneecaps, and he's in a lot of pain! Wait, Dalton with the Crucifix pin! One! Two! Thr- Kickout by Dragunov!! THAT, was a close call for the challenger, but it's gotta be frustrating for the champion at the same time...
Dalton knows what needs to be done. Lifting Ilja to his feet, Dalton begins a series of moves he began to call "the Seven Heavenly Strikes": First a roundhouse kick that lands to the right shoulder, then a spinning back kick to the side of the head, Dragunov staggers backwards, off the ropes, rebounds right back into Dalton's next strike, a Spinning backfist! Dalton's nowhere near done, as he plants his boot in Dragunov's gut, bending him over, then striking with an Axe kick to the neck, yet Dragunov still refused to go down, so Dalton was about to end the combo with a jumping knee, only Dragunov suddenly sprung to life and rocked the champion with an enziguri that made Daniel's ears ring for a little while! Where was he getting this energy from, where'd he train up THIS kind of endurance?! It's Inhuman! But as Dragunov landed the blow, both men stayed down for a moment, as if to catch their breath. Dragunov had eaten 6 of Daniel's hardest blows, he definately felt them all, but he managed to take his opponent down to make sure he couldn't capitalize. Both men crawled to opposite corners, eventually using it to regain their footing. Just when it seemed like a good moment for a break in the action, Dragunov burst forward and landed a sick Lariat on Dalton in the corner! The crowd roared, and Dragunov bolted back across the ring, looking for one more, only this time Dalton read him like a book, catching the Russian and tossing him into the Corner turnbuckles with an exploder suplex!!
Dragunov wobbles to his feet, and Dalton chops him one more time in the chest to get him firmly in the corner. Daniel's looking for his Signature move, a running corner single-leg dropkick that he'd practically mastered. He called it... The Archangel's arrow. Dalton bounced off the ropes, ready to strike, but was quite shocked to be met by the head of Dragunov, who had pounced into his finishing move!
"Dalton looking for the Archange- TORPEDO MOSCOW! TORPEDO MOSCOW FROM DRAGUNOV, OUTTA NOWHERE!"
"New champion, Vic! I told ya!"
"Referee into the count! One! Two! Thre- NOOO! How?! How did Dalton kick his shoulder up before three?!"
"OH MY GOODNESS, Vic! This' some'a the hardest hittin, no nonsense, good ol' Brawlin' this industry needs, Boy I'm tellin' Ya! Can. You. Dig. THAT?!" Booker says, thouroughly enjoying the match.
Dragunov pulls Dalton get up onto his knees. The Czar then delivers a stiff, bone-rattling kick to the ribs of the Champion! And another! And another! And another! By god, Dalton's chest is turning shades of blue and purple, he's gotta have at least 2 broken ribs, dammit! After about the tenth kick, Dalton finally falls back into his backside, only for Dragunov to follow up with a stiff falling forearm to the face! Normally, Ilja would go for a cover here, but Daniel was much like him: Resilient. So he knew, more measures would need to be taken to win the NXT title.
Ilja readies his lariat, the Gruß Aus Moskau, only for Dalton to duck and strike with a Pele kick to the base of Dragunov's neck! Dalton kips up to his feet, quickly keeps Ilja down with a stop to the back, then applying his half-nelson chokehold, the Guardian's Grip! Will Dalton do the impossible and force Ilja Dragunov to tap out?! Dalton wrenches on the Czar as hard as he can, pulling with all the strength in his body. He felt his opponent trying to claw at his arms, but Dalton had it fiirmly locked in! However, just as it seemed like the Czar was about to fade, his foot reached out and touched the bottom rope! Daniel falls back from exhaustion after breaking the hold. "God Damn it!" He said, pounding the mat in fury. He was sure he'd had it with that submission!
The two men are both beaten up, Dragunov and Dalton both red-chested from all the strikes they've taken. They both stumble to the middle of the ring and meet face-to-face. Daniel strikes with an elbow, and Ilja responds with one of his own! The two exchange strikes many times, until Dragunov lands a sickening headbutt that floors The champion!!
Dragunov was now in the corner, calling "UN! BEI! SEIG! BAR!", looking for Torpedo Moscow! Dragunov bolted forward for the move when Dalton suddenly jumps and spins, grabbing the Challenger and falling to the mat, Driving his knees into Dragunov's face! He'd just been hit with the Heaven's Light!
"HEAVEN'S LIGHT! HEAVEN'S LIGHT! THE MATCH IS OVER!" Vic exclaimed.
The referee counts "ONE!". The referee counts "TWO!" and just as as the referee's hand is an inch above the mat the crowd already yelling "THREE!", Ilja pops his shoulder up from the mat, at the last possible moment! This stunned not only Dalton, but the crowd as well... Ilja Dragunov had done what nobody had done since Daniel joined NXT: Kicked out of the Heaven's Light. A Stunned silence befelled the commentators, as well as the live crowd. They didn't know how to react.
Daniel quickly decides not to dwell on it, and he props Dragunov up for another Archangel's Arrow, only this one Connects! Dragunov crumples to the floor as Dalton scales the corner turnbuckles, looking for the Angel Splash! Dalton performs the 450, but Dragunov rolls out of the way, and Daniel's forced to land on his feet! Daniel rolled through, turning to run back in for another attack, but as soon as Dalton turns around... BOOM! A Second Torpedo Moscow From Dragunov!! Ilja goes into the cover! Referee counts! "One! Two! Three!"
Ding Ding Ding!
Winner: ...AND NEEEEW NXT CHAMPION - ILJA DRRRRRRAGUNOOOOV
2. US Five-way Elimination title match - (Jake) Cross (c) vs Styles vs Lashley vs Ziggler vs (Karrion) Kross
This one, I don't have the time to fully script out every last moment, so I'm putting the spots on here instead for you to read and imagine.
Cross brutalizes Ziggler out at ringside while Lashley and Karrion team up on AJ, who fights back and sends Lashley rolling outta the ring with an Enziguri.
AJ Applies the calf crusher to Lashley after Kross was thrown to ringside. Jake powerbombs Ziggler on the apron, then swings him into the corner LED Post! Ziggler then gets chucked head-first into the post by Cross! He finishes his assault by hitting a Frog splash onto Ziggler while he's still down at ringside!
Karrion tries to pick up the scraps of what Jake did to Ziggler, but AJ hits him with a Suicide Dive! The distraction lets Ziggler recover and throw Jake off the steel ring steps!
Jake gets into the ring, and Ziggler gets Corner-speared and Suplexed, but it's only good enough for a 2 count. After this, AJ and Bobby have a back and forth while Jake attempts to cut Karrion down to size. Ziggler clears off the announce desk.
AJ dodges a Lashley spear, but he didn't count on the Dominator! Meanwhile, Jake puts Ziggler through the announce table with a Death Valley Driver! Ziggler is down. Lashley gets a close 2 count on AJ for the Dominator. Karrion gets Jake into the ring, attempts a Saito Suplex, but Jake counters, then Powerbombs Karrion for another close 2 count, but Jake gets immediately caught in the Kross Jacket.
Cross powers his way to his feet, somehow with Karrion on his back, flips him up into position, then hits the C4 and Pins Kross, Eliminating him. (4 men left)
AJ hits a springboard Dropkick to Ziggler, who just recovered at ringside while Lashley and Jake Cross begin to exchange punches.
Lashley seems to be making quick work of Jake, ragdolling him with shoulder tackles and a few chokeslam-like moves, capping it off with a Spear. Poor Ziggler got caught on a diving attempt, only to be hoisted into a stalling suplex! Lashley then emphatically speared dolph, following that up by Locking in the Hurt lock, only for Jake to drop kick Ziggler in the chest, causing Ziggler and lashley to fall backwards, only Dolph rolled through, and Lashley's shoulders were down! One! Two! Three! Bobby is eliminated by Ziggler with a little help from the Us champ Jake! (3 men left)
Bobby may be out, but he's not happy about it, First Re-applying a hurt lock until Ziggler is seemingly out cold. He picks up Ziggler, who has no clue where he is at this point, and then just "Holy Yeet"s him out of the ring! Lashley then turned his rage to the Champ, Taking Jake Cross outside the ring and Ramming him off the ringpost three times, then spearing him through the barricade. WWE Officials then see Lashley to the back, despite his fury.
When Ziggler recovers, He and Styles have a brief one-on-one exchange both in and outside the ring, the fight taking lots of twists and interesting turns while Jake recovers from Lashley's attack.
In the ring, AJ seemingly had it won, setting up for a Styles Clash after a Phenomenal forearm only got a Two out of Dolph... until Jake chop blocked him from behind. Ziggler seizes his opening, landing a superkick right between the eyes of AJ! Jake Pops up AJ, Power Slamming him with Authority! He was about to go for a cover when Ziggler's boot suddenly finds itself firmly planted on Jake Cross' smug face! Ziggler beckons for AJ to get up, and when he does, hits a Zig-Zag for a Three count! We're down to our final two!
Ziggler's comeback sequence is fueling the crowd's energy, who have fully forgotten that Dolph was a heel and were relentlessly cheering him! Dolph locks in a sleeper on Cross, but Jake rams him into the corner buckle twice to get him to release it. Jake pops Ziggler up into the fireman's carry, thinking C4, but Ziggler counters with a DDT! This gets a near fall, only for Ziggler to begin stamping his foot on the mat in the corner, calling for Sweet Chin Music, The Crowd counting out every time his foot comes down! Is the show-off about to make-off with the title?!
Jake ducked Ziggler's Superkick, and instead he Kicked the official. Ziggler realizes he just KO'd the ref, and before he can turn around, Jake drops to a knee and launches a forearm right between Dolph's legs, smashing his babymakers! Ziggler doubles over in pain! Jake applies a pumphandle, then transitions the move into his finisher! Jake with a Pumphandle-C4, center of the ring! The ref barely comes to, just in time to see the cover, and he counts "One! Two! Three!"
The bell rings, and Cross is announced as STILL the United States champion.
3. Anarchy in the Arena women's match - Zamora/Morgan/Bliss/Gonzalez/Purrazzo vs Kota/Bayley/Sky/Ripley/Rose
Same as last match. I have plans for the next Pay-Per-View, and I need to get this one out of the way.
Women's champions Crystal (Raw) and Dakota (Smackdown) Have a quick stare-down, even as the melee erupts around them. Liv goes after Rhea, Bliss targets Mandy, Deonna locks up with IYO, and Bayley tries running from Raquel... to little success.
Crystal & Dakota break their stare-down, with Dakota immediately kicking Purrazzo in the face and helping Iyo while Crystal chases after Bayley!
Deonna floors both members of Damage Control, Iyo rolls out of the ring, and Purrazzo jumps to ringside to pull out some trash cans. Dakota rolls out and decides to hunt for some weapons, throwing a pair of steel chairs and a baseball bat onto the floor. Deonna hurled a trash can in the ring.
Dakota puts a trash can on Alexa's head and hits a Kaio-Kick on her, only for Iyo to follow it up with a Moonsault onto the trash canned Bliss!
Liv gets thrown against the barricade by Ripley, who then moves on and faces off with Raquel. The two start brawling!
Raquel delivers a Chingona Bomb onto the barricade to Rhea, then turns to Iyo, who kicks Raquel into the steel ring steps!
Crystal and Bayley brawl to the backstage area, whacking each other against anything in sight.
Iyo throws chairs and weapons at Raquel, causing her to acquire a cut on her forehead. Raquel attempts to go help Crystal, but Iyo attacks her legs and prevents it.
Alexa Bliss delivers a DDT onto a set-up steel folding chair to Mandy Rose at Ringside!
Liv jumps off the Barricade and hits a Codebreaker on Dakota!
As they brawled, Bayley throws Crystal off the balcony, sending her crashing through a mess of production equipment, which explodes in a sparking, flashing heap! Bayley, thinking Crystal was done for the night, if not for good, limps her way back to the ring.
Deonna nearly gets pinned by Mandy after a running knee out of nowhere. Rhea turns her focus from Raquel to Liv, as the two rekindle their old rivalry.
Liv gets a lil' extreme up in here, pulling out a ladder, a pair of tables, and even a trio of light tubes?! Morgan whacks Mandy and Kota with the ladder, then breaks a tube over Ripley's back! Liv follows this up with a codebreaker attempt, only for Ripley to catch her and body slam her onto the other two light tubes! Rhea goes for a cover, but Liv grabs a non-broken section of one of the tubes and slashes at Rhea, making a decent sized cut on her shoulder that drew a fairly moderate amount of blood. Ripley abandoned the cover, tending to her bloody shoulder. Irate, she began forcing Liv to her feet before dragging her up the ladder.
Deonna sets up one table at ringside, sliding one into the ring. Bayley slid in the ring, back from her backstage scrap with Crystal and shoulder tackled Deonna, setting up the table in the ring, close to the corner, herself.
Raquel Powerslams Iyo off the stage through the lighting equipment after catching her trying to do a dive off the scaffolding. IYO and Raquel are down & out.
Rhea attempts an avalanche Riptide off a ladder, but Morgan blocks, executing a sunset bomb off the ladder, through an announce table on Ripley! Mandy hits Liv with her running knee as soon as Liv has a moment to breathe. Liv & Rhea are down & out, they're done for the night!
Deonna runs up behind Mandy and starts by giving her a German Suplex, maintaining her grip, following through and hitting the Verdetto Del Regina ripcord Lariat. Mandy stays down after the wicked lariat, so it's fair to say Rose is down & out! Bliss misses a Twisted Bliss onto Bayley after Kai pulls her out of the way. She is then hit with a Rose Plant and a Kairopractor, only Bayley wants to pin Bliss instead of Kota. The momentary hesitation allows Bliss to kick out, but she rolls out of the ring. She's down and out. Deonna slides back in the ring, but gets ambushed by Kota and Bayley. She tries her hardest, but 2v1 is unwinnable.
When all seems lost, Crystal miraculously runs back into the ring after that brutal fall backstage, and she guns right for Bayley! The role model looks afraid, and tries bailing on Kota, who gets nailed with a Pump kick from Deonna! Deonna then throws Kota to the apron and hits a Cosa Nostra Sitout Piledriver through a ringside table, Dakota's freakin DONE for the night!
Deonna and Crystal take turns teeing off on Bayley once Zamora rolls her back into the ring. They take turns with roundhouse kicks, before tandem sliding knees to the face rocks Bayley! Deonna hits her Verdetto Del Regina Ripcord Lariat, followed by Crystal springboarding up to the top rope, unleashing a wicked double stomp to the ribs of Bayley! The Icarus Ascension connects, and she got ALL of it! The tandem of Zamora and Purrazzo both hook a leg (similarly to how Pete Dunne & Ricochet pinned Adam Cole @ Wargames 2018) and the ref counts to Three.
Zamora was helped to her feet by Deonna. Raquel, Liv, and Alexa all made their way to the ring, and they all raised each other's hands in victory. They'd beaten those pesky Damage CTRL girls, finally...
4. "O'Reilly vs Gunther Part II"
Gunther starts out hot, going for big moves and a quick 3, but Kyle has him scouted and avoids his chops, much to the annoyance of Der Ringgeneral.
Kyle targets the back of Gunther with kicks, elbows, and submissions. GUNTHER is too powerful, and ends up reversing the submissions.
Kyle shows incredible resilience, eating a few hard blows from Gunther without going down... And Kyle blocks a right hand, ready to go on the offensive!
After Gunther dodges an O'Reilly kick that strikes the ref instead, the big austrian goes for a chop, which Kyle ducks, instead the blow landed right on the chest of the ref! He's down and out for lord knows how long!
Imperium runs in, hitting an Imperium Bomb on O'Reilly for a near fall.
Adam Cole and Bobby Fish run down to the ring. Fish & O'Reilly hit Vinci with the High-Low, and Adam Cole nails Kaiser with the BOOM! Fish & Cole chase away IMPERIUM, and we're back to a one-on-one setting
Kyle manages to Muscle Gunther up into a Regal Plex! The crowd goes cazy, yet Gunther kicks out at two! The champ gets up and immediately resumes control of the match, landing almost 12 stiff, brutal chops, capping it off by hitting a big discus lariat, which most people assume is the end of the match, only for O'Reilly to kick out at two and a half!
Gunther tries everything to keep Kyle down. Two Powerbombs and a Lariat later, and O'Reilly still has some fight left in him, enough to kick out of the mentioned assault at ONE!
O'Reilly hits the Diving Knee after a KTFO Combo, which was followed by a Brainbuster, and finally after said Diving Knee, he makes a cover. The ref counts "One!". He counts "Two!". And he counts "Three!". Kyle O'Reilly is your new Intercontinental champion. The new champ falls backwards onto his back, disbelief and joy both overcoming him. He'd finally done it. Kyle O'Reilly... was champion on his own.
5. Round 1 - Johnny Gargano vs Aaron Zamora
Gargano and Zamora start out by exchanging chain wrestling attempts, which ends with them both on their feet, in a stalemate.
Zamora attempts a tiltawhirl move, only for Gargano to counter into an armbar, which Aaron reverses into a modified hip toss, transitioning into a knee strike.
Gargano gets thrown to the apron, looking for an early One Final Beat, but it gets countered into a wicked Uranage by Zamora, who keeps the pressure on by applying an armbar of his own.
Aaron continues with a combo that makes Gargano have a baaaaad case of Wobbly knees! And He follows this up with a vicious Superkick! Gargano tries to counter, but to no avail, as
Aaron sweeps the leg and attempts a figure four, only for Gargano to roll him up, but Aaron kicks out at one, then rolls out , bounces off the bottom rope, and double stomps Gargano in the chest!
Gargano catches a middle rope dive by getting his knees up, only to roll over and kick Aaron in the head! Gargano heads between the ropes to attempt a slingshot spear, but Aaron catches him midair with a knee strike!
Zamora hits an LBC, but he knows it won't end it, so he continues his offense.
Garga-No Escape applied! Aaron manages to roll through it and get Gargano rolled up, only for Gargano to roll back through and re-apply the hold! Aaron managed to get a foot on the ropes, and Garagno chose to gather himself in the corner, only for Aaron to pop up to his feet and lays out Johnny with a dropkick.
Aaron hits his aerial finisher, Vengeful Impact for a Nearfall on Gargano!
The Assassin's Flight DDT gets countered, but Gargano's superkick was dodged, and Dexter Lumis stops Murphy from running in and interfering in the match!
Thanks to Lumis' help, Gargano manages to hit the One Final Beat for the win! Advantage, team Bourne! 1 to 0!
6. Round 2 - LA Knight vs Shawn Rosario
LA Knight starts out hot, hitting a few big shoulder tackles and clotheslines, but Rosario lands a flying knee that seems to rock Knight, taking him mentally out the match.
Rosario hits a series of kicks to LA Knight's ribs and head, following up with a few impressive Chained-together Suplex moves
Knight attempts an early comeback to swing momentum in his favor, only for Rosario to kick him in the knees and DDT him, following up with a duo of devastating German Suplexes, dumping Knight on the back of his neck.
Rosario seemingly has this handled, striking with a few corner kicks and forearms before Knight dropped to the mat and Shawn climbed to the top rope.
Knight suddenly swerves to his feet, hits a kick to the gut outta nowhere, followed immediately by a BFT after Rosario attempts a diving move, but it somehow only gets a 2 count.
Shawn hits a devastating Headlock Lariat Neckbreaker that turns the tides of this match in his favor.
Shawn attempts a sort of wristlock maneuver, but Knight tries to roll through, only for Shawn to pull him back in and land a brutal knee to the jaw!
Rosario rolls through, picking Knight up off the ground with relative ease! Shawn then planted him with the DLR Driver for the 1, 2, 3. (Score tied; 1 - 1)
After the Match, Shawn offered a hand to help LA Knight up. Knight hesitantly accepted, then raised the young star's arm. Knight clearly saw something in this kid...
7. Round 3 - Rowan Gedling vs Buddy Murphy
This match ended before it could even start. Murphy tried jumping Rowan during his entrance, but it backfired Horribly. Rowan furiously Chokeslammed Murphy onto the steel steps, then rolled his lifeless carcass into the ring. Murphy was on wobbly knees, and all it took was a Single Lights Out, and Rowan covered his fellow Aussie for an easy 3 count. Team Bourne went up, 2-1.
8. Round 4 (if needed) - Ricochet vs Mystery competitor
Rico brought out his Mystery competitor to face Universal Champion Ricochet... it was none other than Ricochet's former tag team partner, Malakai Black!!!
Malakai and Ricochet tore the house down, Matching each other Blow-for-Blow, until Ricochet took his eye off the ball for just a split second before attempting a springboard, launching himself right into a Black Mass. Malakai then pinned his former tag team champion partner, evening the score at 2-2.
9. Round 5/MAAAAIN EVENT
Rico "Nightshade" Rhodes (TNA c) vs Ethan Bourne (WWE c), Winner-Takes-All.
Bourne and Rhodes began their match with the same fast pace we all expected from them. Ethan came flying around the ring, Hitting knee strikes and clotheslines, getting a solid tornado ddt in before even nailing a pair of Superkicks! But Rhodes was Resilient. The TNA world champ launched into a series of Backbreakers that left the WWE Champ wincing and convulsing on the canvas! Rico attempted a Cattle Mutilation submission, only for Bourne to reverse and nail Rhodes with a Killswitch! Bourne then popped Rhodes up, and hit an Old move from his tna days: the Airbourne Catastrophe!!! (It's a Pop-up Styles Clash, fyi)
Rico kicked out of the pin at 2.5, to the dismay of the crowd.
Bourne performed a Handspring off the ropes, then lept over an incoming Rhodes, attempting a Poisonrana, but Rhodes landed on his feet after doing a Full backflip! Rhodes responded with a stiff shot to the jaw, followed by a snapmare. Rhodes sprung off the bottom rope and dropkicked Bourne right in the side of the head, but Ethan only stayed down for a count of 1.
The two then kicked it into even higher gear, exchanging Iconic Finishers, with Rico pulling out an Angle Slam, while Ethan utilized an Edge-a-cution, the Walls of Jericho, and was even about to go for a shooting star press, but Rico recovered in time. Ethan stood on the top rope, dazed, until Rico Sprang up to the top, grabbing Ethan around the head, and delivered a sudden RKO off the top rope! He'd bounced up, then taken out the champ! "Holy shit" chants filled the arena, yet Rico couldn't make a cover.
Rico couldn't hit the Shadebreaker. Ethan had it scouted way too well! Rico was tossed to the outside, furious at his lack of success in putting the champ away. Ethan was pissed at Rhodes, for all the shit he talked, for everything he'd said about Ethan's son, all of it. The ref held Ethan back, as Bourne was shouting in rico's direction... but the ref wasn't watching Rhodes. Rico quickly, rather suspiciously, slid his legs under the ring, so they were hidden by the apron. He leaned forward and began figiting with something... the hell was Rico doing?
Ethan was finally calmed a bit, and the ref finally noticed Rico, beginning his 10 count. The ref got to 7 before Rico slid back into the ring, grinning as he and Bourne stood face-to-face again. Rico tried a cheap shot on Ethan, who ducked the punch and swiftly chopped Rhodes in the chest before Kneeing him in the face! Bourne could practically taste Victory, all he had to do was Close out this match! He landed one more forearm to the face of Rhodes, but Rico rebounded off the ropes and ran back in with an Enziguri that rocked Ethan!... only instead of staggering him, Bourne went down like a sack of Potatoes! What the hell?! It... it was just a Basic Enziguri, why was it *that* devistating? Rico covered Bourne, surely this would be a Near fall, right?
"1!"
Right guys...?
"2!"
Ok, this isn't funny anymore...
"3!"
Ding ding ding
The crowd sat in stunned silence... The WWE title just changed hands... on a Basic Enziguri?! Was this a new finisher, or was something else - something more nefarious - at play here?
No matter what, there was only one fact the fans had to live with... the Ring announcer conveyed the bad news to everyone: "Here is your winner, AND THE NNNEEEEEW... WWE WOOOORLD CHAMPION... NIGHTSHAAAAADE RRRRHOOOODES!!!"
Wh... what the hell just happened?!
If you wanna find out... Stay tuned... for the build up to DAY 1: DOWN UNDER!!! (Coming soon... I promise, the idea train is ROLLIN' now, gang! Here's where it all picks up and all the long term planning finally kicks off. Y'all ain't ready... 😎😎😎)
