Nicole Johnston thought Beverly Marsh was ethereal. Every breath she took, every word she said, was absolutely perfect. She watched her with a dizzy, lovestruck smile as she sat unhappily in the throes of Greta Keene's clique.

But one fateful evening, on her way home from a movie, Nicole runs into the Beverly Marsh herself on a twilight walk.
