DESCRIPTION

EXTENDED SUMMARY
Beverly Marsh had promised Jessie Baker she loved her. They had stolen kisses in the alley behind Bev's apartment, slept over at each other's houses relishing in the company of one another, and even went as far as graffitiing their initials in the library bathroom.
But a rumor spreads around school that Jessie likes girls, and Beverly quickly distances herself, too afraid of her cover being blown.
Jess is left in the dust, heart broken and by herself.
Until she runs into a group of outcasts while hauling ass away from a clown, and suddenly she doesn't feel so alone. The only problem is, Bev is one of the losers, and they both have quite the amount of unresolved tension.

NOTES
— when jess first meets up with the losers, she's very closed off and short with beverly but they slowly work it out

— internalized homophobia !! (this is central to the plot)

— they can end up together, or at least make up and become good friends*

— jessie is very bright and curious, and brave when she has to be

— bev says "i've only ever been kissed by one guy before" but notice how she didn't say girl ;))
