EXTENDED SUMMARY
Teresa Williams never talked. She'd nod, she'd shake her head, she'd wave her fist, she'd occasionally stick the middle finger up, but she never talked.

No one had any idea if she even could. Most assumed she couldn't, and just ignored her, and went about their day. The girl was invisible, a ghost in a prim dress and curly hair in two ponytails.

But when Bill sees her sobbing her heart out against the curb, with loud, pained cries of pure anguish, he decides to do anything in his heart to help her. Even if she won't tell him what she needs.

NOTES
- Teresa's mother committed suicide when Teresa was ten and she just kinda stopped speaking

-She is 'selectively mute'

- The internet defines Selective Mutism as 'a complex childhood anxiety disorder characterized by a child's inability to speak and communicate effectively in select social settings, such as school. These children are able to speak and communicate in settings where they are comfortable, secure, and relaxed.'

- Bill does not make her get better! It's the friendship that is created between the Losers and the comfort and bond that helps her become comfortable enough to talk

- She has anxiety, so please write that accurately and correctly, and do not romanticize it! No stydia panic attack kiss scenes in this house

- She talks in nods and shaking her head and hand gestures

- A lot of it is her internal monologue/thoughts, because she doesn't talk

- She should speak at the END of the book, to comfort Bill when they have the group hug in the sewers and everyone is just like 'oh my god we love you Teresa'

- She flashes the finger at Eddie a lot because she doesn't get along with him that well but in the final battle she kinda pushes him out of the way to stop him getting hurt and like,,, friendship

- She gets along with Stan & Ben & Mike extra well though because he's okay with her being silent and just sitting quietly without it being awkward

- Can she wear berets pLEASE

- anyway her and Bill are SLOW BURN but very shy around each other
