EXTENDED SUMMARY:

Brendon Cavanough was a peculiar boy. Peculiar in the way it was unnerving to anybody looking in. His mom and dad loved each other, he had a prickly but protective older sister, he had the cutest family dog, he never got into any trouble, perfect. This was mainly because Brendon never had any incentive to do anything bad, so there was no tensity, no lack of trust, nothing. From a young age, he had never felt the need to lie. This developed into a melodramatic fear of the act. If he finally lied, what would happen? Brendon never expects Bill Denbrough to be the first boy to wrestle a lie out of him. This lie, of course, being about his totally non-existing huge crush on Bill (totally non-existing!)

NOTES:

— lmao have fun trying to figure out how Pennywise forms THIS fear

— I put young!Lucas because he turns 18 this year so I figured I might as well write that in advance!

— The romance part of this story is very soft and cute and BILL NEVER KISSES BEV BECAUSE BENVERLY IS ENDGAME anyway it's fluffy because the plot of this movie alone is angsty enough

— Brendon doesn't really get along with the other Losers because his mom always told him that boys like that are troublemakers, but you can decide how he starts interacting with them (he already knows Bill, though, hence the pre-existing crush)

— Brendon's mom isn't like Eddie's, she just genuinely wants Brendon to be a good kid and she loves him lots and his family is precious and cute

— I imagine his sister is played by a girl who looks like an angsty teen (think a real life Violet from The Incredibles) and she should be a source of comic relief within the story
