EXTENDED SUMMARY
Isaac Venkman always tried to find the bright side of things.
For instance, when he wore his Ghostbusters costume to school and Henry Bowers gave him a fist full of mud for it, he wiped himself off and thanked the Bowers boy for making his costume look like he had just gotten back from a ghost battle. Or when the Losers Club came to him asking if he had any "weaponry" as Richie put it, in his father's construction shed for the thing they needed to take care of, Isaac gladly handed them a staple gun and a hammer, ready to tag along for whatever sewer ridden schemes would ensue with his newfound friends.
To him, it all seemed like a silly at first, like they were all just bad dreams the kids had. But when Richie Tozier comes to him in the night, sweat beading down his back, and face flushed of all its color, telling his neighbor that a clown was in his linen closet, Isaac couldn't help but feel that maybe this was serious. And that maybe he was in over his head.
But he couldn't let the other losers see that he was terrified beyond his wits, so the boy put on his bravest smile and prepared himself to face the child eating clown that haunted Derry, Maine.

NOTES
- richie invites him to the quarry bc they're neighbors & that's when he starts to join in with the losers club

- his biggest fear is disappointing his father* ( because he doesn't want to continue the family business )

- he's not optimistic all the time, but he often tries to make things better for the other losers & lighten up the mood even though he's just as scared as they are ( like how richie feels obligated to be comic relief, he feels obligated to lift everyone up )

- he thinks of the losers like their own sort of ghostbusters, banding together to rid their town of an evil spirit instead of multiple

- him & richie are a slow burn even tho richie flirts a lot, he's still hesitant to make any real moves bc of homophobia in the 80's

- & isaac's going to make a ton of ghostbusters references btw bc he's the ultimate fanboy
