Chapter 97
Last Friday Night by Katy Perry
Theres a stranger in my bed, theres a pounding in my head.
Having been gone no longer than a day Xander is already calling me. I scramble in my thin sheets to find my phone somewhere. The piercing ringing irritates my sensitive ears. I'm so shamelessly hungover.
My hand collides with a firm body and I physically recoil and scream when the shirtless body smiles down at me and passes me my phone back.
"What the fuck." I squeal, subconsciously pulling my sheets further over my body to hide myself despite the fact i'm fully clothed. "Did we.." I trail off, gesturing between us.
"God no bitch." He laughs flamboyantly, pushing himself out of my bed and throwing a shirt on, which I now notice is more sparkly than mine.
"I'm gay. You said I could crash because Wyatt was already asleep before we even got upstairs." He laughs kindly.
I let out a sigh of relief, "Thank god."
I look down at my phone and hit answer as he starts walking out, "Bye." He calls out and I reply something of the sorts.
"And who was that?" Xander pounces immediately. It's a FaceTime so he clearly sees the way I physically recoil at his volume but chooses to ignore it, speaking his next words extra loud. "Excuse me Miss Paris?"
I place a hand on my forehead this time and lean back.
"Xander it's 10am. I was blackout drunk out of my mind last night. I never got home until 6am. I'm hungover as fuck. I just found a stranger in my bed. Can you just try to lower your volume." I grimace.
"Did you know Paris, that the average 17 year old needs 10 hours of sleep per night. Your rate is currently 4 hours." He sings.
"And how's that working for your 17 year old self?" I ask. "Brilliantly, slept like a baby last night." He says proudly.
"Wait you found a stranger in your bed?" He rewinds shocked.
"He was gay and he was just crashing but it was still scary." I shiver.
"Lovely." He tweets happily.
"What do you want?" I ask hoarsely, pushing myself out of bed and into the bathroom.
I stare at my disheveled appearance. Mascara from yesterday smudged, my blonde hair messed up all over my head, lipgloss around my lips.
"Rough night huh?" Xander mocks. I prop phone Xander up on a shelf in the bathroom watching me.
"Rough night or no night." I shrug smirking as I wash my face clean.
"I may or may not have drunkenly called your brother." I sigh. I check my call history and see I left a message, I also see he's listened to it already.
"Which one?" Xander mocks. "Gray." I answer.
"Yo! Rooney! We're going out for lunch, wanna join?" Hayden sticks his head in and informs me. I nod in agreement and begin getting ready whilst catching up with Xander.
We all head out for coffee at my workplace, all of us wearing sunglasses and caps to stop the sun from making our heads hurt.
I buy a strong hot coffee and don't hesitate to drink it to rid myself of headaches.
Before we know it we're acting like nothing is wrong and gossiping about the latest campus hookups and breakups. We discuss the upcoming show in only two months now.
Things are fine here. Do I care that Grayson the bitch Hawthorne decided to listen to my message and not reply? Maybe. But I certainly do not care about him anymore. Grayson Davenport Hawthorne is dead to me.
(a/n. Hey guys I know this chapter is super short but at this point I needed just a short filler chapter before all the action of this last book goes down. I always find these fillers so hard to write because there's no real purpose of them and they always just feel unnecessary and it's hard to write without all my favourite characters so I end up just adding them like Xander with his phone call. Anyway, i'll try to post another part this week but no promises. Thanks for reading.)
