Shoe-a-Rooney

Richelle POV

I was sitting on the couch watching Maddie try on shoes for Liv. I would do it but I just didn't want to.

I was watching Maddie wobble in the heels as I was sewing ribbon on my pointe shoes

"And turn. And turn. And turn. And turn." Liv told her

"And stop." Maddie said holding her hand up stopping

"Liv, I'm not your personal supermodel." Maddie told her

"Oh, Maddie, I never said you were. You are my 3-d mirror." Liv told her

"Okay. Well, your 3D mirror is about to quit. I have a big game against the grizzlies this week and these feet need to be on a basketball court. So" she said

"Ah! Need I remind you that this little fashion sesh is payback for you tossing my favorite
cashmere sweater in the laundry." Liv told her holding up her shrunken sweater

"Okay. Why do girls get so excited about shoes? I mean, they're just things to put on your feet so that if you step in dog poop you don't get hookworm." Maddie said as mom and Liv gasped

"Maddie, the right pair of heels can make a girl feel magical." Liv told her

"And her mother when she borrows them." Mom told her as dad and Joey walked in the house with tree branches

"Stop. Why are you dragging tree branches through the house?" Mom asked them

Going through the house instead of around
gets us to the wood chipper 27 steps faster." Dad told her

"Plus we can stop in the kitchen for a nice, cold glass of lemonade." Joey told her

"It also creates a trail of leaves for someone to clean up later." Mom said pointing to herself

"Oh." They both said as they walked out the house

"Okay, well, let's let's wrap this up." Maddie rushed

"Come on, Maddie, there's not even a little part of you that's enjoying this?" Liv asked her

"Oh, hold on, Liv. Let me check real quick.
Um no."

"Seriously? Okay, you can't wear sneakers for
the rest of your life, Maddie. You know what you need to tap into your inner sparkle. Feast your four eyes on these!" Liv said pulling out a pair of shoes as mom gasped

"I have found the perfect pumps. Oh! It's as if you were walking around in a bowl of high-fashion pudding." Liv said

"Okay, okay, enough. I will try them on." Maddie said putting them on

"Okay, just be careful, 'cause if you stretch 'em I can't wear 'em." Mom told her

"You guys have ten seconds. Look quick." Maddie said as she kicked them off

"I hate these shoes." She said as she went up stairs

"Well, you can lead a tomboy to designer
shoes but you can't make her shimmer." Liv said

I was in the kitchen with mom and Parker on my phone when Evan walked up to us with orange juice and muffins

"Here you go, Mrs. Rooney. I baked fresh muffins." Evan said

"Richelle I cut your up in a shape of a heart" he told me

"Thank you Evan. You are so sweet" I told him as he lightly blushed

"Well, thank you, Evan. I am not used to all this attention. Ahem." Mom said as she looked at Parker

"Bless you?" He asked

"I really appreciate you letting me stay here while my mom's at a convention. Why don't you take a few minutes for yourself and I'll clean up here?" Evan said

"You are like a dream. Parker, you could learn a little something from your friend." Mom said as she left

"He's making me look bad" Parker whispered to me

"You always look bad" I told him

"Dude, we gotta talk." Parker told him

"Great! My mom says talking is the best way to unburden your soul." Evan told him

"You are so adorable" I gushed as he blushed

"I totally get you're trying to be helpful, but the more you do for my mom, the more she'll expect from me. I got a good thing going here. And I don't need you waltzing in and ruining it!"

"My mom says being helpful is a ray of light
I can just shine on our happy home." Evan said

"Isn't he the cutest" I awwed as I hugged him as Parker rolled his eyes

"Not true. The goal is to get out of chores." Parker said as he laughed

"Pfft. Parker, you're hilarious. Oh, wait, you're serious?"

"If your parents think that you're not capable of doing anything, you'll never have to do another chore again." Parker told him as he gasped

"Does such a world exist?!" Evan asked

"It does. Let me show you a way. A better way. The Parker way." Parker told him

"Things are about to get stupid real quick" I mumbled

------------------------------------------------------------

I was sitting next to mom, Liv, Joey, and Diggie as we were at Maddie's game

"Has anybody seen Maddie? Our game starts in two minutes." Dad asked us

Maddie's not here? She's never missed a game." Willow said

"Wait, if Maddie doesn't show, that means I have to play. That can't happen, man. During the game is when I get my homework done." Stains said

"Maddie was acting really weird today." Joey said

"And did she get taller?" Diggie asked as mom Liv and I looked at each other

"Taller? Like how much taller? Like 2 1/2 inches taller?" Liv asked

"Yeah, something like that." Diggie said

"She just seemed different. She giggled. Maddie doesn't giggle. She snorts." Willow said

"It's like she had some kind of inner sparkle, man." Stains said as Liv, mom, and I gasped

"The shoes." Liv said

"Um, I think I know where she might be.
So I will just go get her. Yeah. See if you can get them to hold curtain." Liv said walking away

"Wow, that girl really doesn't get sports." I said

"All right, Stains. You're in." Dad told her as she sighed

"Fine." She said as she ripped off her wind suit pants and revealed pajamas pants as we all stared at her wierdly

"I didn't think I was going to play today." She said

------------------------------------------------------------

The next day Liv called Joey, Diggie, Stains, Willow, and I down for Maddie's intervention because her obsession with the shoes was not healthy

"Okay, so we are all here for Maddie's intervention. It is very important that we make her feel like she's walking into
a room that is safe, and loving, and supportive and" Liv said as Stains was munching on chips

"Stains! I am going to slap that bag out of your hands." Liv yelled at her

"Why did you put them out if you don't want anyone to eat them?" She asked as Maddie walked in the house

"Hey!" We all said as we walked up to her as Willow closed and locked the door

"Hey. What are you guys doing here? And why are you all staring at me? And why did Willow just lock the front door?" Maddie asked

"Yeah, why did she? It's making me nervous." Joey said

"Maddie, we are all here to talk to you about your problem." Liv told her

"What pro I don't have a problem." She told us

"Yeah, you do. You're obsessed with those shoes" I told her

"I am not obsessed. They're just my new best friends and the only things in the world that matter." She told us as we gave her a look

"You used to tell me how you hated high heels. Have our Sunday afternoon empowerment walk means nothing?!" Willow asked

"Okay. So I used to not like them and now I do. I mean, a girl has the right to change her mind and also tell her friends and family that they are annoying and should stop bothering her. I mean, Liv, you were the one who told me to embrace my inner sparkle." Maddie said

"I did, but I was wrong. I mean, Maddie, now your priorities are all out of whack. You missed a game." Liv told her

"Yeah, man. I had to play. I made a basket for the other team." Stains told her

"And what about our fro-yo date? Mads, it was two-for-one toppings night." Diggie told her

"And I hate that you're taller than me. There.
I said it." Willow said

And you missed our morning run three days in a row" I told her

"And I passed the shuttle run. Not relevant to what we're talking about, but I'm just so proud of myself." Joey said dancing

"Okay, guys, it's just a pair of...wait, hold on.
You passed?" Maddie asked Joey

"That's what I said" I told her

"You know what? I can take these off whenever I want to." She told us

"Ha! Okay, then do it." I challenged her

"Well, I said that I can take them off whenever I want to, and I just don't want to right now.
So Deal with it." Maddie told us

"Oh, we will. Now!" Liv yelled as Willow hekd her

Diggie, grab her legs." Willow yelled as Diggie grabbed her legs as Liv and I grabbed a shoe

"Oh! Put me down!" Maddie yelled as Liv and I ran to the wood chipper

"Liv, Rich, give me back my shoes." Maddie yelled as everyone followed us

"Liv, Richie no! Don't punish the pumps." Maddie told us

"Oh, believe me, Maddie. This is going to hurt me a lot more than it's going to hurt you." Liv said

"Oh Wait, what am I saying? Like there's any way in the universe that Liv Rooney would
destroy the perfect pair of pumps" Maddie said as I put on safety googles

"She won't be I will" I said as I put the shoes in the wood chipper

"No!" Maddie yelled

"It's over now. It's going to start to get better." Diggie told her

"But this is so hard. And my feet are So cold." She said as Willow took out her sneakers

"I have a couple of old friends who want to say hi." Willow told her

"Oh. Thank you. Wow. I don't know what came over me." Maddie said

"Well, Maddie, you tapped into your inner sparkle." Liv told her

"Yeah, man. It happens to all of us." Stains told her

"It's okay if you want to be a tomboy and it's okay if you want to be a girly girl but don't let it change who you are" I told her

"Luckily, you have two sisters to guide
you through all things sparkly. So we will start slow. Okay, this is strawberry lip gloss.
Don't eat it." Liv told her giving her the lip gloss

A/N I didn't know how to fit Richelle in this chapter maybe I'll start giving her her own plotlines instead
