A few moments earlier, there was an angel who was wearing a strange uniform and a mask with horns and it also had an X over one eye. Her name is Lute, the second in command for a group of angels called exorcists.

Now, this not so heavenly Angel was on a mission given by her boss to capture a very specific person. Dead or alive.

"Ugh, this is pointless! I'm not finding him a anywhere." Lute said to herself in anger and frustration. "This freak is nowhere to be found, maybe Adam had the wrong City?"

However, her luck quickly turned when she noticed the blue hedgehog walking along the streets. "I guess I spoke too soon." The angel said with an evil smirk as she placed her finger on an earpiece and spoke into it. "I found him, Sir. I'm going in."

"Excellent job, Lute." A voice said from the other end. "Now remember the plan?"

"Yeah, yeah, I know." Lute said as she rolled her eyes. "You want the hedgehog alive. . .to my disappointment."

"Okay, we're almost there." KC said excitedly as she ran ahead with her friend. "We're just around this corner and. . ."

Suddenly, KC was knocked to the ground but a blast of magic which shocked Shane and Dr. Cockroach for a moment.

"Kelly!" Dr. Cockroach shouted as he ran to his daughter's side. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm a cockroach remember? Resistant to practically everything." KC said as she got up from the ground. "What the hell was that?"

"Damn it! That blast was supposed to be for the hedgehog!" Lute said in anger as she floated down to reveal herself to the creatures. "Now, hand over the hedgehog and no one gets hurt."

"I don't think so." Dr. Cockroach said as he got out one of his gadgets and got into a battle stance. "You'll have to go through us first!"

"So be it then, freaks!" Lute said with an evil smirk before getting out her angelic spear and getting into a battle stance.

"Uh, dad, you and I both know that we can't fight." KC whispered to her dad. "How are we supposed to go up against an angel?"

"We don't have to defeat her." Dr. Cockroach said as a matter of factly. "We just have to keep her busy enough for Shane to escape."

"What?! I'm not leaving you guys!" Shane said seriously. "I'm more than capable of helping, watch."

As he said that, Shane walked past the cockroaches and closed his eyes as a long sword suddenly appeared in his hand.

"What the what?!" KC asked in shock as she watched what was happening.

"Cool, huh?" Shane asked with a smile. "I can create anything from my imagination!"

"Yeah, yeah, cool but maybe focus on her." Dr. Cockroach said seriously as Lute let out an evil laugh.

"Aww how cute the useless freak thinks he can defeat me." Lute said in a mocking tone. "You're lucky I'm not supposed to kill you, freak!"

"Do your worst!" Shane said as Lute charged at him and swung her spear. Surprisingly, Shane was mostly able to keep up with the angel's movements. "Missed me!"

"Ugh! Stay still you little rodent!" Lute growled in anger. "Let me capture you!"

"Never!" Shane said as he swung the sword and managed to get a hit as he stabbed Lute's shoulder causing her to cry in pain. "Now, leave me and my friends alone. Or else."

With that said, Shane walked away as his friends were cheering for his victory. "Wow, I had no idea you could actually fight." KC exclaimed. "That was awesome!"

"I know right?!" Shane said in excitement. "I didn't think I could do it either!"

"Um, guys?" Dr. Cockroach said trying to get the kids attention. However they were too busy celebrating still.

"And your power is so cool!" CK said, ignoring her father's warnings. "What else can you do?"

"Guys. . ." Dr. Cockroach tried again.

"Well, I can do a lot of things." Shane said honestly. "Like I can. . ."

"Damn it, kids." Dr. Cockroach said to himself in annoyance before stepping in between the mutants. "Guys! Look!"

The teens finally looked over at Lute and she was right back up with an angry expression on her face. "You damn rat! I don't care what Adam says anymore. . .you're dead! You and your insect friends!"

Nobody really knew what to do as they stood there frozen in fear as the angel charged twords them. The three of them braced for impact only for no impact to come. When they looked back up, they saw a teenage girl with strawberry red hair, ocean blue eyes, and was wearing a school uniform.

"Back off, feather brains!" The girl said as she shot a blast of red magic at the angel. "And leave this family alone!"

"Or else what?" Lute asked with a taunting smirk. "I don't take orders from demons like you."

"I'm no demon." The red haired girl said. "I'm a devil."

"What's the difference?" Lute asked with a scoff.

"More specifically, I'm a devil heiress to the house of Grimory." The girl explained. "You see, I'm from a different version of hell and in that version my brother is none other than Lucifer himself."

"Oh no, another version of Lucifer I'm so scared!" Lute said sarcastically. "Please, if what you're saying is true, then your Lucifer can't be much better than ours."

"Would you like to find out what I can do?" The girl asked before making a magic circle around her as she shot a blast of magic just barely missing the Angel. This startled her a little bit as she knew that was just a warning shot. "Come at me. . .Angel scum."

This whole time, Shane couldn't help but admire the red haired beauty as he found himself staring lovingly at her. 'Wow, she's so pretty.' he thought to himself as he felt his face grow hot with blush. 'Wait, did I really just think that?'

"Fine, you win. . .for now." Lute growled in anger as she turned her back to walk away. "This isn't over, freaks!"

Everyone just glared at Lute before she rolled her eyes in anger and defeat. Once she flew off, the red haired girl turned around and smiled. "Oh, I'm sorry, I was so focused on saveing you guys that I forgot to introduce myself." She said. "I'm Rias Grimory. Heiress to the house of Grimory. And you must be Shane The Guardian Hedgehog."
