R: Vansh!

She whined as he looked up from his laptop, she sat on the sofa beside him with a huff.

V: what happened sweetheart ?

He closed the laptop and held her arms, bringing her on his lap. She snuggled into his chest while he wrapped his arms around her tiny clinging figure.

R: I am bored.

She mumbled into his chest and he chuckled.

V: and what do you want to do?

He asked, kissing crown of her head.

R: I want to roam around. hey! Let's spend this day together with each other as a carefree day.

She said excitedly, before he could even respond she again spoke.

R: I will show you my life. My simple life I was living before coming here.

She said, her face had a full blown smile. Just by imagining her life she lived as ridhima excited her, it wasn't like that she hated the life as ridhima Vansh raisinghania but her life as ridhima can never be compared.

She was like a carefree butterfly, who would jump around running behind any flower or animal.

But Vansh was not exactly pleased by her idea, all the negative thoughts surrounded his mind. He knew, it could be dangerous and he didn't wanted to risk her life and also their little symbol of love which was growing inside her womb.

V: ridhima! But it is not safe outside.

Ridhima looked at him with furrowed brows while he tried his puppy dog eyes but his eyes weren't exactly convincing. He rather looked like a chow chow dog, big, scary and dangerous.

R: you wear casuals, I am damn sure no one will be able to recognize you or us.

She said, poking his chest.

V: was it a compliment or an insult of mine?

He felt offended. It was not like he didn't liked wearing casuals but the situations didn't let him. His most of the time he would attend business meeting.

R: take it whatever you want as. But mostly an insult because god knows why you hate wearing casuals.

V: I don't hate casuals I just don't get any chance to wear it.

R: so today you do. And we are going that's it.

Her one glare was enough to make him groan, when she decides something she would definitely do that! And seeing the determination in her eyes, he knew he cannot win from her.

V: OK fine.

He mumbled, defeated. She did a happy dance on his lap while her one smile was enough to light up his dark life.

R: and no angre.

She clearly warned, she knew her husband. Sometimes she wondered is she actually his wife of him! He was always trailing behind him like a

V: no ways!

He almost shouted and she flinched. She looked at him wide eyed.

R: what the hell would angre do between us! Unless you two are the couple and I am that ' kabab mein haddi'

V: I didn't meant it that way ridhima. It's just

He couldn't even complete, ridhima stood up from his lap and looked him with fury.

R: oh shut up! He can stay without his boss for a day.

She rolled her eyes

R: you know what Vansh, I sometimes doubt if you are a gay and love angre.

She voiced her thoughts out, he gasped hearing her. He couldn't believe his own ears.

V: ridhima!

He shouted, embarrassed. A faint blush appeared on his cheeks and point of ears.

R: I am seriously not in the mood to fight with you. I am giving you a T-shirt, wear that and get ready.

She went to her wardrobe and took out two shirts. Tossing one to him, she  went inside the washroom to change.
Shaking his head, vansh looked at the shirt in his hands. He gasped

V: I will wear this! Panda! Seriously ridhima.

He groaned, banging his forehead he again looked at the shirt with a frown.
He had no choice but to wear it, he knew her preganacy hormones were super dangerous. If she is cute one moment then it wouldn't take her a second to become a lioness in the other.

This little petite woman can make him dance on her tunes. And he loves it.

R: vansh! I am ready.

She came out of the washroom looking beautiful as always. She looked simple yet cute at the moment, his breath hitched for a moment.

V: someone is looking hot Mrs raisinghania

He winked and she laughed. She looked at him from head to toe

R: hmm looking cute Mr raisinghania.

With a sly smile he held her in his arms.

V: really Mrs raisinghania ?

He whispered huskily, nuzzling their noses together.

R: yes, Mr raisinghania. Unless you don't want a complement from me.

She whispered back, closing her eyes to soak his warmth.

R: OK now. Enough of mushy moments, let's go.

She shouted and he closed his ears.

V: let's go.

With a small smile on both of their faces, he held her hands in his and walked out of the room to start a beautiful journey of today.

It gonna be a hell of the day.

V: so where to head first?

He asked buckling his belt, he put on his sunglasses and looked at her.

R: I want to see penguins.

She said excitedly and Vansh got startled hearing her.

V: ridhima we are in Mumbai! Not in a polar region that you want to see a penguin.

He tried making her understand and she banged her forehead.

R: so you don't know that we can see penguin in Mumbai?

V: huh! Where would you find penguin in Mumbai? Come on think practically ridhima.

R: Veer Mata jijabai bhosale udyan and zoo, byculla east.

She gave him a tight lipped smile while he was shocked to hear this. He actually didn't knew there was something like this in Mumbai.

( it is not fictional! I have myself visited that zoo three years back and they still have penguin, the authority have made a building equal to polar region with AC and ice. So if you want to visit that place, please do after this pandemic. I can assure you won't regret it)

Setting the location on the GPS, they started the journey.

R: vansh you actually didn't knew about this zoo?

She asked as he was driving on the roads of Mumbai.

V: I really didn't!

Ridhima was happy just about thinking about his amused face she will be seeing there.

He parked the car in the parking lot and they took the tickets to go inside.
Vansh was really amused to see the surroundings, many birds of different colours and different types.

R: Vansh! See a flamingo!

She held his hand and dragged him to the cage. It was big enough to hold many more birds together but what attracted her most was that flamingo.

R: it is so cute

Vansh looked at the bird and then at ridhima.

V: indeed it is.

He whispered with a sly smile. Indeed, his flamingo was a lot cuter than that of the cage one.

R: see na! There are so many parrots. So many different colors. Aww see they look like a couple.

She gushed over them, seeing a white parrot sitting on the branch of tree with a parrot of blue and yellow combination. They actually looked like love birds, it seemed like the white one was kissing blue one on the forehead.

R: they look like us!

She commented and he looked at her amused.

V: really ridhima! Vansh raisinghania as a parrot, No ways!

She rolled her eyes and started walking ahead while he still kept murmuring about him not being a parrot.

R: Awwww vansh, see na look at that deer!

Her carefree side was coming out. He was amused seeing the inner child inside her, she would get excited seeing any animal and start jumping around.

( gosh! I am writing my antics here. It's embarrassing man!)

It was the second time he witnessed her so carefree, first time it was when she was drunk.

As they walked ahead, there were many selfies point as well along with a  children's park which warmed both of their hearts just by thinking about their baby playing like this.

This zoo didn't had many animals but they definitely had unique ones. There were many unique unseen birds which was never witnessed by him.

R: Vansh!

She shouted making him startled.

R: see na, they are so cute!!!!!!

Her eyes had tears in them which genuinely confused ( I am writing my experiences here. Haha)
him but thinking it one of her mood swings he let it go. He turned around where she was pointing at, that sight definitely melted his heart too.

There were around five or six black cats, looking cute as hell. They were looking at ridhima adoringly.

V: it's actually very cute.

She walked to their area, fortunately it was allowed to touch them so she petted them. The reason of her tears were that she loved animals more than humans, they always warmed her heart.

Their cute antics, innocent heart could melt any stone hearted person, vansh walked near her and petted the cats just like she did. Looking at each other with a small smile both walked in the direction which caught their eye.

Along with black cats there was a mommy cat along with her baby sleeping peacefully on a bench.

Their heart warmed seeing at the sight, now even vansh had tears in his eyes but of happiness and adoration. The way baby kitten was clinging onto his mumma was way too cute and emotional.

Now there came the main part he was eagerly waiting for. Seeing the penguin. It was a big white building standing in front of them with two doors covered with giant transparent plastics.

One was the entrance while the other one was exit. Both walked inside and the cold air touched their body as they kept walking. There were several AC to match the environment for the penguin.

Both of them along with hundreds of people were in complete aww with the sight in front of them. Those penguins were playing in the water with each other.

The walls were painted in white and given a touch of fake snow. With many small stones and pebbles kept on the ground.

R: from judging your face I can guess that you are enjoying it very much.

She whispered nudging his shoulders while he was still adoring those tiny creatures who were walking around in a rhythm.

( I seriously remembered that toi toi by rrahul. *laughs*)

V: thank you ridhima. I loved it.

She smiled proudly seeing him all happy and smiley. They indeed enjoyed today, all that today consisted of was happiness.

R: so done with the zoo, now let's to give a final touch to our day.

She said as they both came out of the zoo, she dragged him to a shop which was recognized as a gift show of souvenirs.

V: Here?

She nodded and started scanning the shelfs to get something, her eyes stopped at one pendant.

She knew it then and there, it was the right one.

R: bhaiya, wo Kitne ka h?

She asked pointing towards the pendant that just took her heart away, Vansh followed her fingers and looked at that direction.

Ven: 300 mam

R: what!! I won't give more than 150 for it!

Vansh's jaw dropped listening her statement.

(I am laughing my ass off, I can never bargain even for one single penny!)

Ven: mam but that is very less! You can give at least 250 for that.

R: 170

Ven: 230

R: 180! Not more than this.

That vendor couldn't fight more so he agreed and Vansh paid, still amused. While sitting in the car he spoke

V: I can't believe you bought that in 180 rupees, and he didn't even fought with you!

R: bargaining skills Mr husband!

She winked and laughed, shaking his head he took the pendant from her hands and clasped it around her neck.

V: hmm not bad.

R: Aakhir choice Kiski h?

V: of course aapki!

He bowed his head down and she laughed. While driving back home, the moon and stars above them adored the bond which was created by them and the God above.

This day will be forever remembered by both of them as a carefree day.

Hush! Finally done. I actually wrote it in a go, I was so much engrossed in it. All the flashback were coming back to me while remembering that zoo.

I guess I was 10 when I visited that place but the sight I witnessed was unforgettable by me. I enjoyed every bit of it and this idea just striked in my mind as I was sulking around like a grumpy kid because we can't roam around during this pandemic.

So I wrote this, I hope you all liked it and I want to say something. Last time when I kept the target, I got quit a good response so I have decided to keep targets in every os.
