When others want to be in limelight and shine,
She wants to be in darkness.

Hiding the deeper reality from us,
She runs in her guise. 

To her loving darkness,
Cause it hides her flaws and makes her feel pretty.

She wants to be consumed in the dark,
Cause that's what makes her confident.

Safety embraces her in the arms of darkness,
Cause no one can know the real meaning she.

And wishes to cage herself in a dark room.
Cause the real she won't let her live.

She hides her face in disgust,
Cause she's ashamed of herself and the situation she has put herself into.

She is not who they see,
Still she is she with a façade.
