Round and round
He went on the wheel
Till its effect
His legs could feel

That little white thing
With a cute brown nose
Used its pink tail
To strike a tired pose

'ting...' went the bell
Tied to the door
In came his love
Oh! What features she bore

Those greenish blue eyes
Like an ocean for him
That dark black hair
Dyed red at the tips

Her nose a little pointed
Just like his
Her voice a sweet melody
She was the perfect miss

His miss strode to him
Opened his cage with key
Scooped him to her heart
"Did my little miss me?"

Such pleasant were his mornings
Always, everyday
Till the villain entered
To take his life to bay

He lifted his miss
High in the air
Told he'd love her
Till his last breath

Our rat got neglected
Her priorities changed
In front of him, they kissed
Without any shame

This did the deed
The last nail in coffin
He lost all the hopes
That he'd been holding

He took to his chores
Got up on his heels
His running started again
Round and round on the wheel
