(The next day - Wednesday) ((Werewolf Class))
Alina walks into werewolf class and slumps into her desk. She can't believe Blade isn't biologically her brother. Plus, after Aaron told her about seeing Blade's wolf form, he took a picture of the wolf form. Blade's wolf had markings that nobody in her family had and they are all a snow white color.
Why did her parents keep this secret? Surely they would've told somebody about it but no. They didn't.
"Did I tell you how much I absolutely hate Brave. I mean, the guy has guts but they're pretty weak guts if you ask me." she hears someone say.
"I know right! Brave's better off dead if he's just going to be an idiot. Poor Rexha, she has to deal with his stupidity." another voice replies.
Rexha Shalashaska is the daughter of Ein and Tatiana and Brave's sister. The latter would do anything for her, she has him wrapped around her finger.
The girl in question just sits in the corner, listening. Alina shifts her head back to look at the girl, giving her a small smile.
Alina then hears someone walk in and fixates her eyes from Rexha to the new person. She gaps at the guy strolling over to his desk.
"NATHAN?!" she whispers loudly.
Nathan turns his head to her. "Hey." he smiles.
Alina slaps his head with her textbook. "Where the hell have you been! You know, there are people who were worried!" she shouts.
"Relax. I'm fine." he tells her. "But did you know Blade's wolf is bigger than everyone else?"
She freezes. "N..no." she stutters.
"Huh well. Just thought you'd know something." Nathan says.
"Where is Blade anyways?" Max butts in from beside Nathan.
Nathan sighs. "He's at home. Doing what, I don't know." he replies.
(With Blade)
Blade slowly walks into his parents' house. He can feel whatever control he has, slipping away quickly. The voice and the bird weren't helping anymore and he fears one of these days, he'll kill someone he loves.
After all, he did kill twice in the timespan of two days. I'm just going to get myself killed someday, aren't I?
"Mom? Dad?" he calls out.
No direct answer follows. Only hushed whispers that he can hear.
"In a way, Alina's right. He deserves to know the truth." Aphmau says. "But I worry he'd kill us in our sleep once he's aware of it."
"True. He did kill Balto. Who's to say he won't murder us the same way." Aaron states.
"He killed Balto?" another voice asks. "Is that why he's got no control?"
Blade rolls his eyes at the conversation. Of course she'd ask that. That's Aunt Mel for you. Always butting into the current conversation.
He watches his dad nod his head.
"Yeah, he did. But Aph and I don't know why he's out of control, now." Aaron says then sighs. "It's worrying us."
"Wait, what truth? I overheard you and Aphmau talking about Alina knowing something." Melissa questions.
"Nothing!" Aphmau replies quickly.
Too quickly, Mom. Blade walks out of the door, not wanting to listen to anything else and saunters to the school grounds. He figures, he might as well just show up. Unexpectedly, should he add.
(With Alina)
"Today everyone, we will be learning shifting. But because werewolf destruction to the school isn't covered by the school's insurance, we'll have to go outside."Mr.Gavin states.
Alina slumps down into her seat. Nobody except Max and Nathan knows she's a werewolf. Plus, they know Blade's one as well...even if he isn't related to me. She sighs quietly.
Her ears perk up when someone walks into the classroom. "How nice of you to actually show up, Lycan." she hears Mr.Gavin say in a cold tone of voice.
"I was busy, Mr.Gavin." the person replies.
Blade! He's back! But he never answered my texts!
"Busy with girls, I assume." Mr.Gavin states.
Blade scoffs. "Yeah totally." he mutters sarcastically.
He walks to his seat, next to Harper and shifts his golden eyes to the ground.
"Now, that I was rudely interrupted; we'll be heading out in a few short minutes. So, get your bags; you'll need them if you're as dumb as a door nail." Mr.Gavin tells his class.
"What are we doing?" Blade whispers to Harper.
"Shifting." she answers in a whispered tone of voice.
He nods and grimaces. Shifting isn't something he wants to do as he's not very comfortable shifting in front of other people. Plus, his lack of control.
(Outside, ten minutes later)
It takes a solid ten minutes for Mr.Gavin's werewolf class to get themselves outside. Mr.Gavin, himself, stands before his class with a grim expression.
"As the rule states, only your Alpha can force your shift. Unless there's an Ultima." he states.
"What's he got to do with shifting?" a student remarks.
"A lot. The Ultima can force the shift of any shapeshifter regardless of pack." Mr.Gavin says then looks at Brave. "Now, Brave if you could."
Brave walks to the middle of the field and folds his arms across his chest. "Alright, losers! By order from your Alpha, I demand you shift!" he calls out.
Every werewolf immediately shifts except Harper, Blade, and Nathan.
"Why aren't you three shifting?" Rexha asks with a frown on her face.
"I'm human." Harper replies. "Last I checked, humans can't shift."
Rexha nods her head. "True. What about you two?" she asks the boys beside Harper.
Blade gulps. Brave can't force his shift due to his Ultima status and he can't force Nathan's because he isn't the latter's Alpha anymore.
"I'm human. Duh." Blade quickly states.
He then notices his sister in werewolf form. "Your scent says otherwise." he hears Rexha say.
"Werewolf. Told you!" Brave laughs.
Blade sighs. "Did you ever think that maybe it was my sister rubbing her scent on me?" he questions.
Please buy it. I don't want to shift!
"Then explain how Nathan isn't shifting." Rexha says.
'Nate...' Blade says.
'You know he isn't my Alpha. You are.' Nathan replies.
'I know! But I can't reveal my Alpha status yet!' Blade snaps.
'Then just silently force my shift, I guess.' Nathan answers.
'Alright. I'm sorry for this in advance.' Blade whispers.
He shifts his golden eyes to the ground as Nathan shifts into werewolf form.
"He shifted?! How!" Rexha shouts then frantically turns her head around to glance at her brother. "Was it you?"
Brave shakes his head. "No. There's another Alpha here." he states. "I don't like it."
'What about you? He knows your a werewolf...' Nathan trails off.
Blade ignores him and stands his ground.
"Shift." he hears Brave demand after a second of silence.
"No. I'm human as I told you before." Blade replies.
He figures Brave doesn't buy it for he eyes Rexha stepping towards him. She sniffs the air, probably catching his true scent.
"He's right. He's human." Rexha states. "His scent is that of a human."
Her brother nods his head at her and tosses a light glare to Blade.
"Fine. You get out of it, this time; loser. But next time, I won't be so nice." Brave tells him then strolls several inches to stand in front of Blade. "I'll make your life a living hell starting tomorrow. Good luck surviving that, Ultima."
Blade stands there in shock as Brave walks backwards. He knows I'm an Ultima. Then, why'd he believe Rexha?
