Joss: Let's do this!

(He begins to run and slash the monster on his frontal leg, but it didn't do a scratch.)

Lacie: Speed: 5%.

(Vildrays roars and heals himself. He begins to shoot fireballs from its mouth, aiming at Joss.)

Isabella: What is he doing?!

Arya: Hasten Katana is an art that makes your attacks stronger every time it hits.

Isabella: I know that! What I mean is that he needs to be fast so its effect can be applied.

Arya: I really don't know, but we must trust him.

(A boulder came crashing down and Arya destroyed it with a swing of her hammer. Meanwhile Joss keeps his attack at a rapid progression.)

Lacie: Speed: 12%.

(Vildrays unfolds its wings, creating small tornados in the cavern. The Deadman runs to a wall and jumps towards the Vildrays. He lands on its back and begins to slash it. He can see a strange sphere moving inside its body. The beast spins and throws Joss off balance. It then starts chasing him with its flamethrower attack.)

Joss: Lacie, I need more speed!

Lacie: Speed: 25%

(He runs again against another wall and turns towards Vildrays. He waits for the right moment and jumps, slashing the creatures left eye and landing away from it. The creature roars and looks at him, its wound completely healed. It lands and as he walks, tremors were felt. From its tail, he throws various scales to his direction at blinding speed. He manages to evade with some cuts and Vildrays begins to charge its fire breath.)

Joss: More!

Lacie: Speed: 37%

(Vildrays shoots a tremendous electric-fire ball.)

Joss: Hunter Art: Sakura Slash!

(He splits the ball in half and rushes again to the creature.)

Joss: Lacie I need more!

Lacie: Speed: 52%.

(Isabella stands ready to shoot her charged arrow although she can almost see Joss moving. Arya creates 2 stone pillars to protect Isabella and stands watching the battle. The hunter keeps slashing at any opportunity, his sword glowing stronger while the Vildrays keeps regenerating every heal.)

Lacie: Speed: 64%.

(He jumps but Vildrays grabs him mid-air and throws him to a wall, crashing and making a huge hole. Joss spits blood.)

Joss: Shit... I need more!

Lacie: Warning, further increased of movement speed may destroy leg tissue and/or begin to break bone material.

Joss: I don't give a fuck! Increase speed!!!

Lacie: Speed: 79%.

(He grabs his Longsword and dashes towards the Vildrays, evading all its attack. He begins to feel the pain from the Raizu attack but keeps pushing forward. His attacks begin to work. The creature's healing is slower than his attacks.)

Lacie: Speed: 87%.

(He smiles as he can see the mechanical sphere that is keeping the corpse alive in its neck. He makes a spin attack, severing part of the muscles and making a hole, but then, his sword breaks. He stands in the air, hopeless, looking at a fireball that will hit him. Vildrays shoots it with tremendous force, slamming Joss against the ground.)

(He opens his eyes slowly. His breath is fast. All he can see it's the creature charging its next attack. He can't almost feel his legs. They are sore too much. The pain is unbearable. He moves his neck to his right. His sword? Broken. He closes again his eyes. Everything starts to slow down. The world turns grey. The kid shows again. He kneels beside him.)

Kid: Is that it?

Joss: I...I can't.

Kid: You know that is not the extent of my power.

(His breathing is fast.)

Joss: I tried...really...but...

(The kid comes close to his ear. In a soft, tempting voice he whispers.)

Kid: You know what to do. "Can't" is not in our vocabulary. You have survived worst things that this.

(His breathing slows down. Joss closes his eyes slowly.)

Kid: Remember who you are.

(Vildrays finished charging its attack. Isabella tries to run where Joss is, but Arya grabs her. She knows very well that the attack is so powerful, she cannot help him or let her best friend die trying to do so. The creature unleashed its fireball. A huge explosion occurs. Smoke and dust rises...and a silhouette...Joss stands. His hair, crimson red. His eyes, the color of deep blood. From his hand, two swords were made with the same color as his eyes.)

Joss: Lacie, maximum output.

Lacie: As you command, Master Joss. Speed raising: 120%.

(Almost like a reflection, he cuts both wings with only a hand movement. Vildrays falls and tries to regenerate.

Lacie: Speed: 320%.

Joss: Augment legs and arms muscle and tissue.

Lacie: Augmenting anatomical structures: legs and arms...changing cellular formation...

(Joss' muscles grew outstandingly. His veins could be seen.)

Lacie: Speed: 520%.

(He moves with blinding speed. Isabella can't see him, and Arya can only follow only after he hits the monster. She tries to catch him with her sight but is impossible. Vildrays opens his mouth to shoot a thunder ball but Joss closes it with both hands, exploding the creature head. He stands looking for movement. Vildrays begins to regenerate his head. It let out an ominous roar and dashes towards him. He grabs tightly both swords and begins to walk slowly towards him.

Joss: Demon Art: Onislash.

(Vildrays threw a barrage of attacks, all, split by Joss. He dashes and begins to cut the creature's stomach. He cuts faster than how the creature can regenerate. Vildrays makes its claws ready to pierce Joss, but the sphere became visible for a moment. A low movement string could be heard. Next, an arrow had pierced the sphere, shattering it into million pieces. The creature then falls. Joss stands with both blood swords on the ground.)

Lacie: Final speed...5,000%.

(Bulwark flies and lands roughly in between the girls and places two full charged shields on their backs leaving him vulnerable. He pops two red energy shields and divides them from Joss)

Bulwark: Jae... Are you still with us!!? .... For our sake... Please be.

(He doesn't answer. Isabella throws her cherished bow away and runs to Joss.)

Isabella: Jae...you did it!

(She grabs his hand but there is no response.)

Isabella: Jae...? Jaeger?

(Arya stands near and gaze upon him. Isabella puts her ear near his chest. There is no sound.)

Isabella: His heart isn't beating?!

Arya: We must start it somehow!!!

(Bulwark nods his and runs to him and grabs him in a bear hug)

Bulwark: T25 release excess energy from the Raizu!!

T25: That'll be over 230% of energy, sir?

Bulwark: DO IT!! We can handle it.

(The armor opens up small blue slots along the arms, legs and spinal areas of the suit. Then after a few seconds a huge electric current courses through both their bodies. Bulwark repeats it 3 times.)

Bulwark: Snap out of it Kid!!

(His whole body restarts again but he remains unconscious. Isabella feels relief that at least he is alive.)

Arya: I will flare up.

(She exits the cave a shoots a special gun towards the air. After a moment cats arrive. They stare at the corpse of the Vildrays. Some played with it, other stayed away.)

Isabella: Bulwark, please, carry Joss to the village. He needs treatment.

Bulwark: Meet y'all there.

(He carries him and flies to the village as fast as possible. He finds more cats and they carry him off to help)
