"But I wanted the rainbow sprinkles! Not just the red ones!!"

Now I remember why I never go to this ice cream shop.

Annoying, bratty children come in packs here with their god-awful parents. A lot of the guardians appear to be nannies of some sort which is sickening since it's past the time for the typical work day to be done.

"Hi miss! What can we get you today?!" I snap my gaze to the scrawny and quite dorky kid. He's definitely a couple grades younger than Rhett and I, or he's just a very late bloomer. The poor kid has acne covering his face as well as the round-brimmed glasses that seem too big for his small head.

"Uh I don't know. I'll take a chocolate cone." The kid pushes his frames further up on the bridge of his nose. He seems confused for some reason.

"Um just a chocolate cone? You don't want anything else? No sprinkles or added cookie dough or lactose-free dairy products? Do you want the non-fat option or the vegan chocolate ice cream made from coconut milk? Or-"

"My god! Just a damn ol' chocolate ice cream cone! Geez!" I snap, causing the poor gawkling to cower in fear while he punches my order into the register. He looks over at Rhett and his frown is replaced with a smile.

"A-and for you, Rhett?" The kid knows Rhett's name? I look over at Rhett, and he only gives me a slight smirk back. God I love that smirk.

    Woah. Woah. No.

"The chocolate deluxe on a waffle cone, Freddy. Thank you!" The gawky kid- or Freddy, nods with a big grin as he punches in his order and rings up the total. As I was about to attempt to pay with the three quarters and two dimes I have in my pocket, Rhett takes out a $10 bill hastily.

"The gentleman would like to treat his lady." I hesitantly smile before muttering a 'thanks'. His eyes light up at my gratitude. I swear, it's like he thinks I'm some rude bitch....okay I did scream at Freddy just like two minutes ago but come on! You would've too!

Feeling guilty as I grab my plain chocolate ice cream cone from him, I say, "Sorry uh Freddy for yelling at you before. I just got overwhelmed." I can't believe I apologized. The kid looks at me; absolutely stunned.

"Oh um that's alright. It's not the first time someone yelled at me today. Have a great day, Noa!" He waves me off as the next customer goes up to the register.

How did he know my name? Am I just really that un-observant of others or do people actually like know who I am?

"Freddy thinks you're hot yet intimidating." I swivel around to see Rhett, who had disappeared for a couple seconds there, holding his waffle cone full of chocolate, brownie batter and cookie dough heaven. I'm regretting getting plain chocolate.

"Oh really?" I quirk an eyebrow, taking a lick of my ice cream. We find a small table near a window and sit down.

"Yep. He's a great kid once you get to know him." I nod along, not realizing how nice and friendly Rhett is to everyone. He literally took time out of his busy life, or seemingly busy life, to get to know probably the most awkward and dorkiest kid at our school. He even took the time and effort to get to know me, which nobody else aspired to do.

He really is a genuinely kind person.

"Wow. I was amazed he knew my name...wait a minute! You two have talked about me?" I exclaim as I see a blush crawl up his neck and onto his cheeks.

"Um uh well you see...It just randomly came up when he asked me about um yeah how's your ice cream?"

I glare at him in response since he averted the topic.

"Surprisingly really good. No wonder children flock to this place," I reply between licks of my ice cream. The chocolate is already dripping down the sides of the cone and on my hand so I have to lick fast.

"Want me to help? You're getting ice cream all over your hand..." He begins to reach his hand across the small table, but I slap it away while tugging my ice cream closer to my mouth.

"I got this under control..." I begin to quickly lick the sides and my hand and within a couple minutes, the ice cream is nearly gone.

"Damn...did you even get a taste of that?" he mumbles with a teasing look.

I smirk while shrugging my shoulders. "Mhm" I finish my cone and lick my fingers one by one. The ice cream was damn good.

I look up at him as I'm licking my fingers, a bit too slowly and sexually might I add, and I can see his cheeks heat up with a tinge of pink. He shifts in his seat awkwardly, and I can't help to snort.

"What?" His chocolate eyes search mine, and I decide to do something. Something a bit naughty.

I get up from my seat and take a seat on his lap, straddling him while I lower my face to his. I feel something shift from under my butt.

God. I am giving him a boner.

"You're cute," I whisper in his ear before getting up and holding out my hand for him to grab. He tenses a bit before exhaling and taking my hand. As I pull him up from the chair, he pulls me along, dragging me out of the ice cream shop and to the small park nearby. He sits on a bench and I sit beside him.

"Alright...if were not going to go on the swings, then what is the point in coming to the park?" I say, half-jokingly. I watch as his leg starts to bounce in apparent nervousness.

      Why is he so nervous?

He then grabs my hand in his giving me the most gut wrenching adorable puppy dog eyes. He's searching me for an answer? Permission?

"What? You want me to suck your dick?" I bluntly ask, expecting him to blush profusely and start sputtering nonsense words in embarrassment.

"I mean if you wanted to-"

" I'm not sucking your dick!" I exclaim, shoving him away in a jokingly manner. He only laughs before getting serious again.

"Noa. I was wondering-um- if you wanted to go to homecoming with me?"

I blink three times before fully comprehending what he had asked me.

"What about Becky?" I ask, remembering how Becky kept pestering him about going to homecoming with her.

"Becky who? I'm asking you. I'm asking Noa." He smiles lightly as he speaks which causes me to smile in the girliest way. I hate how I'm becoming a mushy mess around him.

"Padre Rider won't be mad?" I keep avoiding to answer his question.

"Just answer my question. You keep avoiding it." Damn. I keep forgetting he's good at reading people.

"Ugh fine. Why not? What do I have to lose?" I shrug with a sassy smirk.

"Wow. It sounds like you really want to go with me, but I'll take it." He winks before standing up, reaching his hand down to mine. I take his assistance and stand up so I'm right in front of him.

"I do want to go with you... I'm just not a huge fan of school events, especially events that our student council hosts, but I'll go with you."

He smiles before enveloping me in a bone-crushing hug.

"Good. We can just go for the grand march and stash up on food and chill at my place. My dad will be gone for the weekend anyway."

I'm all for just chilling with free food.

"Deal. What color should I wear?" I ask, pulling back from him. His eyes are literally shining.

"Whatever your heart desires. I'll wear a black tie with a white collared shirt and black slacks, so anything you wear will match."

I nod, smiling as we begin to walk back up the path towards my apartment.

We continue talking of our plans for the weekend, and for once... I'm excited.

I'm over the moon!
