It was officially the summer. The sun was out which was a rare occurrence and the weather was pleasant for a change. Rey had always lived in the hot desert of Jakku before moving to Naboo for university so the rain in winter had been surprising to her. Rey had fell in love with Naboo and all of the greenery that came with it. 

Rey and Kylo often went on nearby mountain trails and hikes. Kylo had shown Rey some amazing places to visit that Rey fell in love with. The best part about all of the walks is taking Chewbacca with them. BB8 would much more prefer a nap in the peace and quiet when everyone else is gone. 

Chewbacca absolutely loves going in the car, he wags his tail and cries to go. Kylo finds it cute when Rey and Chewbacca both get excited to visit new places around Naboo. Chewbacca has been on lots of walks with Rey and Kylo like when one weekend when they had no assignments they visited the force waterfall. Rey had squealed so loud when Kylo had managed to reach over and splash her in the face with water. 

"Kylo! Kylo! Wake up come on!" Rey shoved Kylo out of bed.

Kylo groaned when he fell on the floor. Rey stood over him laughing at his facial expression. Rey was excited because they were going to be going to the beach. She has never seen the ocean before and was really excited. 

Obviously Rey had experience with sand but the beach was completely different. Kylo had told Rey that some beaches have loads of rocks all over the ground before you get to the sand. When he told her about all of the shells that she could find Rey immediately wanted to get a bucket to be able to collect some on. 

Rey and Kylo are still looking for an place to rent but Rey already knows he wants shells in the bathroom to remind her of the ocean. She obviously knows what shells are but she has never got to collect her own. Her scavenger senses were tingling! 

By the time Kylo had finally gotten up and dressed Rey was already finished her bowl of Frosties. Rey had a bag stuffed full of her and Kylo's stuff to take to the beach and was hauling in out the door of her dorm. Kylo hurried after her with a few biscuits in his mouth.

Kylo drove them both to the beach. Rey was watching out of the window a gasping every time she spotted the sea in the distance. When the car came to a stop at the beach Rey practical jumped out of the car. Kylo grinned at her excitement and showed her to the changing rooms. 

"Hurry up Rey before the tide ends up coming in!" Kylo laughed.

Rey came out of the changing room and announced: 

"I have arrived!" 

Kylo was for once speechless as he took in Rey who was standing in a black bikini with her hair down. Smirking at Kylos fish impression Rey grabbed him by the arm and they ran down to the shore.

Rey immediately ran to the edge of the water an experimentally dipped in her toes. Kylo laughed at her about being a wuss but a soon as he ran in his grimace betrayed him. 

"Take that!" 

"Take this and this!" 

Rey had Kylo splashing around like a toddler in around 10 minutes of being in the water. For hours they both paddled in the water laughing their heads off. Kylo demonstrated how to swim to Rey and helped her learn a basic stroke. They both swam slowly and Kylo help anytime Rey dragged. 

As the tide started to come in Rey and Kylo got out of the water and decided to go and get some ice cream. Throwing a towel over his shoulder Kylo moaned about how Rey was probably going to end up stealing his ice cream cone as they walked up to the truck. Rey smiled at all the the choices of flavours and ended up with bubblegum. Kylo got chocolate. 

Rey licked the last dregs of ice cream from her ice cream cone and hungrily eyed up Kylos cone. Rey was an incredible fast eater and Kylo was so slow in comparison. In the end Rey did end up stealing Kylos ice cream cone. 

"We better be getting home now BB8 needs some more food and so does Chewie." Rey said. 

On their way back to Kylos black truck Rey filled up a whole bucket full of the best shells she could find deeming them her prizes. I know what your thinking and Kylo actually did help! He contributed, with one rock he found nice. Said Rock looked as though it had been bashed millions of times but all the same Rey added it to her bucket eagerly. 

As soon as she got home she fed BB8 and Chewbacca then went to sort her shells before tea. Kylo spent a great amount of time treating his sun burnt back , ears and nose.
