Ben's Pov:

3 months later:

I had fully recovered within a week of getting lost in that storm. It was now Christmas Eve and I had nothing to give Rey. She insisted that she did not need anything but I wanted to make this holiday special for her. We had been stuck in the house for so long now because of all the snow and I wanted to do something special for her. I had come up with the idea to bring down the medical droid and have it give her and the baby a check-up since she hadn't been able to have one for a couple months and was getting worried about not knowing how everything was going. I started walking up the stairs until I heard Rey call my name.

"Ben?" She called.

"Uh, yes?" I replied, trying to not turn around.

"Where are you going this time?" She questioned. I had to go up stairs a few times to grab extra food and firewood, but for some reason she picked today out of all the days to question where I was going.

"I am just grabbing some.....BOOKIES!" I yell suddenly.

"Bookies?" She questions. "What are... bookies?"

That's what I wondered about myself. "I meant, blankets. I need to grab some blankets."

"Oh. Well, don't we already have enough of those?"

"Well yes we have a lot, but you can never have too many I always say." I replied nervously.

"I've never heard you say that before, but okay." She replied while walking away. I breathed a sigh of relief and walked briskly up the staircase. I quickly walked down the hallway to the medical room and turned on the medic droid.

"Hello Sir. Ren." The droid said as it turned on.

"Good evening." I replied. "I need you to come with me and run a test. A special test on a special person. If you do anything that could harm her, I will rip out all of your wires and slowly destroy you limb, by, limb. Understand?"

"Y-yes S-sir. Understood. I-if you d-don't mind me asking, what kind of test?"

"A test to check up on a young pregnant lady's baby."

"I can do that. A simple check up won't harm her or the baby in any way." The droid replied while packing up some tools in a bag.

"Excellent." I replied and with that we walked out of the room. The first thing I did was grab some blankets. I then turned around and threw them over the droid.

"S-sir? I can't see anything." The droid said muffled by the blankest.

"Yes I know and I am sorry. I need you to be a surprise till the check-up." I replied.

"Oh, alright sir." The droid whispered.

I slowly sneaked back down the stairs making sure Rey didn't catch me or the bot. We had made it into her bedroom and the droid set up its medical supplies. I walked out of the room and was suddenly greeted by Rey stomping her foot and crossing her arms.

"I thought you were getting blankets."

"W-well I-I was but I-I..."

"You what Ben? First you say you are getting blankets, then I see you and your hands are empty, then I find you sneaking around in my room. What do you have to say for yourself?" She questioned.

"I was just...."

"Just what?" Before I had a chance to reply Rey walked around me and slammed open her bedroom door.

"No! Rey d...."

"Oh h-hello Ma'am." The droid said, clearly shocked.

I looked over at Rey's face only to see how shocked she was at the sight before her.

"It was meant to be a surprise check up for you and the baby." I said walking up beside her.

"Y-you did all this for me?" She asked, stunned. I wrapped my arms around her waist and lightly put my head on her shoulder.

"All just for you." I whispered from behind her ear.

She slowly turned around to look me in the eyes.

"Thank you, Ben." she said as she got up on her tiptoes and kissed my cheek causing me to blush.
