Rey volunteers to dog sit Chewy for her grandfathers friends while they are on a trip. What she didn't expect was for their son to come back home from college.

" — and remember this food is only in the mornings! For afternoons you use this food!" Han pointed at about 12 different cans of food. How picky was this dog?

"Aw sweetie don't worry, chewy will eat any of these. Han just hasn't been away from him for this long. He wanted to bring him but we need a nice vacation," Leia smiled as her and her husband placed the last suitcases into their car.

"Bye Mr and Mrs. Solo!" Rey called as they drove off. Her grandfather had volunteered her services to his friends: Leia Organa and Han Solo. They were going on vacation for 2 weeks, her grandfather was going to visit relatives, and Rey needed something to do this summer. So now she was living in the Solo house for 2 weeks. Han said Chewy got home sick.

Rey was pretty sure the dog didn't even care.

"Huh just you and me, Chewy," Rey sighed scratching the dog behind his ears. It's already been a couple of days and the routine hasn't changed. She feed the dog, played with the dog, read, and watched TV. Sure it was boring but it was an upgrade. Before she was doing the same thing but without a dog.

Soon she hears a hard pounding on the door.

"Who is it?"

The pounding continues.

"Who is it?!"

"Dad! This isn't funny! Open the damn door!"

"Rude," Rey muttered as she swung open the door. The guy waiting outside looked pissed.

"Who the hell are you?" He hissed.

"Why do you want to know?"

"Cause you're  in my house?"

"Since you want to know so bad I'm Rey Kenobi and I'm dog sitting, thank you very much."

"I'm Kylo Ren. Where are my parents?"

"They never mentioned having a son named Kylo Ren."

"My real name is Ben Solo though I hate it, they insist on calling me that no matter what I say to them."

"Whatever, just come in."

Ren huffed and lugged in his bags.

"So what are you doing here?"

"Like I said dog sitting for 2 weeks. Your parents are on vacation. How about you?"

"Spending summer here, Hux cancelled plans. Trust me I don't want to be here."

"Who's Hux?"

"My best friend."

"You sure he isn't your boyfriend?" Rey teased laughing at his red face.

"Hell no! He's dating Phasma — wait why am I telling you this?"

"I don't know, I wasn't the one who opened their mouth."

"Just shut up."

"Make me."

"You know what? Let's make a deal Kenobi, you leave me alone, I'll leave you alone. Let's pretend the other doesn't exist.

"Sounds amazing to me," she smirked.

Rey woke up the next morning to the smell of eggs and coffee. It must be Kylo but he doesn't seem like someone who would be up early.

"Morning," Rey mumbled as she made her way down the stairs. Ren didn't say anything back.

"Morning!" She repeated a lot louder than last time. He turned to face her, "I thought I was supposed to pretend you didn't exist?"

"I was just trying to be nice."

"Fine then — Good. Morning."

Rey rolled her eyes.

"How many more days till my parents come back?"

"A week and 2 days, not including today."

"Ugh 9 more days with you."

"I know, I have to deal with you being a prick for 9 days," Rey gagged.

"Shut up."

"Only if I get some of those eggs."

"Here Chewy," Rey smiled as she feed the dog, unlike Ren, Chewy wasn't a jerk. She watched for a moment as he inhaled the food then she returned to the living room. Ren was lying on the couch, glancing at his phone.

"Waiting for your boyfriend Hux to text you?"

"Can you shut the hell up! I'm into girls for the last time!"

Rey laughed as she sat down on Kylo.

"Can you get off of me?"

"Can you stop hogging the fucking couch?"

"Could you stop hogging the fucking couch?" Ren mimicked as he moved his legs down.

"Thank you," Rey grumbled, crossing her arms.

Rey stared mindlessly at the tv as Chewy layed on her lap. Ren came down the stairs dressed more nicely than he usually is.

"Hey where are you going?"

"Why do you want to know?"

"I don't know," Rey shrugged, "so?"

"A date, going out with a girl tonight."

"Oh —" Rey looked down for a moment then smiled, "Good luck! I'm only saying this cause you need it desperately — I mean what girl would go out with you?"

"Someone with a brain and taste," Ren scoffed as he walked out.

"So Chewy? Now that Mr. Cranky Pants is gone we could watch something, how do you feel about Mean Girls?"

Ren returned the next day with a girl in his arms. Must be the girl from last night. Rey thought she was okay looking: the girl was very tall and skinny with long red hair, and green eyes. She was dressed in shorts and a tight crop top.

"Oh Ren!" The girl giggled kissing him on the cheek. Rey internally gagged, that girl had been all over him, all day. Currently she was trying to watch tv, but it wasn't working out.

"Ren?" She asked her voice quiet and obnoxiously sweet, "can you get a room!"

"Oh I'm sorry Kenobi, who's house is this?" Ren smirked as the girl in his arms gave her a death glare.

"Whatever — not everyone wants to see you snog some random girl," Rey scoffed, "chewy let's go," she walked up the stairs.

"Hm he won't get a room huh?" Rey smirked as she snuck into Kylo's room. It was messy and the walls covered in band posters. Rey had to admit, he had great taste in music.

"Well if he refuses to go, I'll just watch tv in here," Rey muttered laying down in his bed. She grabbed the remote and turned on the tv.

"Now this is more like it," she smiled stroking Chewy.

"So - who was that?" Rey asked the next morning.

"A girl."

"What girl?"

"None of your business."

"Yeah it is, you were all lovey dovey in my face! That's disgusting!"

"Shut up Rey! It's not like you've ever had a boyfriend!"

"Oh you're going to go there huh?" Rey's voice cracked, "It's not my fucking fault that I'm an undesirable little shit! So shut the hell up! At least I'm not the one bringing girls home that only want to get in your pants! So shut the fuck up! You shouldn't be the one talking! I doubt you've ever been in a real relationship," Rey scoffed and marched upstairs to her room.

He followed her.

"I'm sorry okay. The girls name is Ruby since you wanted to know so badly."

Ren walked away and Rey didn't say anything.

"Rey, here." Ren scrapped the eggs from the pan onto an empty plate and handed it to Rey, she didn't speak.

"Are you still mad?"

"What does it look like Ben Solo," she hissed as she poked at her food.

"I said I'm sorry, I didn't know it was a sensitive topic!"

"You wouldn't understand. I'm going to go feed Chewy now," Rey got up and left her egg filled plate.

"Here Chewy," she muttered giving him the food, "at least you aren't an insensitive prick like someone I know." Chewy just looked at her before eating his food.

Rey walked into the living room and sat on the couch noticing Ren wasn't there. But soon enough he walked over from the other room. She went to get up.

"Rey —"

"What?"

"I said I'm sorry, okay?"

"It's fine now."

"Are you sure?'

"Yup just forget about it."

"You can tell me."

"No I can't."

"3 days!" Rey exclaimed excitedly, acting as if she forgot the incident from the day before.

"What do you mean by 3 days?"

"Your parents are coming home in 3 days! 3 days till I never have to see your face again!"

"Ouch that hurt, and I though you liked me."

"Shut it Solo!"

"Make me.'

"I would but I'm too lazy."

Ren laughed, and Rey gasped.

"Oh my gosh it's a miracle! You're smiling!" Rey laughed and dancing around singing the word "miracle" over and over again.

"Shut up!"

"Make me Solo!" Rey continued to dance around.

"Fine," Ren walked over and picked her up bridal style.

"P-Put me down!" Rey yelled flailing her arms around.

"Nah," Ren ran up the stairs with her still in his arms.

"Kylo!"

He soon walked into his room and he threw her down on his bed.

"That wasn't cool!" She crossed her arms and tried to hide a forming smile.

"Ah little Rey's upset?" He talked in a child like voice.

"Just shut up Ren!" Rey then threw a pillow at him.

"Oh you want to play that way huh?"

Kylo grabbed the thrown pillow and soon a pillow fight was started.

"Ren! Ren stop!" Rey protested in between laughs.

"I wasn't the one who started it." Ren smiled before hitting her again.

"Fine, fine. Please stop."

"Okay," Ren dropped the pillow.

"Just kidding!" Rey laughed manically as she pounced on him, knocking him to the ground.

"Hey! Rey! No fair!"

"No one said anything about pouncing," Rey smirked her face inches away from his,

"Rey!"

"Fine! Fine!"

She crawled off of him grinning.

"We should watch a movie!" Rey yelled excitedly.

"Sure what do you want to watch?"

"Hm —" Rey skipped around the house, "how about 27 Dresses?"

"Really a rom com?"

"Hey I like them!"

"Fine."

Rey smiled as she settled next to Kylo on the couch.

After the movie was over Rey was laughing, not at the movie but at Kylo. His reaction was priceless.

"All those dresses? How? I-I"

Rey laughed, "see I knew you would like it."

"Ha yeah, it actually wasn't so bad."

"Knew it!"

"Aw Kylo guess what? Tomorrow your parents are coming home! Tomorrow is day 9! Just when I was beginning to like you."

Ren was silent.

"Ren? Hello?"

"Oh uh sorry Rey, I zoned out."

"Eh it's fine. Are you still with Ruby?"

"No."

"Oh — since it's basically our last day together we should do something special!"

"You're acting like I'll never see you again."

"Cause you won't, I do want to see your ugly face again."

"Stop messing with me, I know you love me."

"You wish I did. Anyways what should we do?"

"What about we do something after you feed the dog? My dad's very picky about Chewy."

"Okay okay,while I feed him think of ideas!"

"Okay!"

Rey scrambled off to feed the dog his food, in about less than 5 minutes she returned.

"I want to show you something."

"What is it?"

"Follow me.

Ren led her to his room and pulled out a guitar. It was a bit dusty.

"I haven't played this in a while," he admits, "but hopefully I still know a song or two. Any requests?"

"Surprise me."

"As you wish."

Rey watched with fascination as he strummed softly at the chords. He started to sing the song Iris by Goo Goo Dolls. His voice was low and smooth, she liked.

"— and I don't want the world to see me, cause I don't think they'd understand, when everything made to be broken, I just want you to know who I am. I just want you to know who I am, I just want you to know who I am, I just want you to know who I am."

He finishes and looks up at Rey. She claps her hands excitedly and smiles.

"That was so good!"

"Thanks," he smiles and blushes.

"I didn't know you could play guitar!"

"I've known since I was younger."

"Teach me!"

"Last day at the Solo house! Last day at the Solo house!" Rey sang as she walked around the house.

"You sound pretty excited to leave, was I that bad?"

"Eh," Rey shrugged.

"Well anyways here," he handed her a slip of paper, "it's my number, so you could — you know? Contact me."

"Thanks," Rey took the paper in her hand, smiling.

"You know what Solo?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm going to miss your prick ways!"

"And you know what Kenobi?"

"What?"

"I'm going to miss your annoying ways."

"Thank you so much for the compliment! It's the nicest thing someone's ever said to me!" Rey replied sarcastically.

"I know, aren't I so nice?"

"Totally."

The two then burst into laughter as the door creaked open.

"We are home Rey!"

"Chewy!" Han ran straight to the dog while Leia waved at Rey.

"Thank you Rey!"

"It was no problem!"

Leia handed her the money, "would you mind doing it again in the future?"

Rey looked at Ren then back at Leia, "no I'd love to do it! Also Leia, your son, he came home from college."

"Ben!" Leia hugged Kylo tightly.

"Hello mother."

"How was college tell me everything! Wait let me make some coffee first!"

Leia headed off into the kitchen.

"Bye Leia! Bye Han!"

"Bye kid!"

"Bye dear!"

Prey walked out of their house and was followed by Ren.

"What is it Ren?"

"I want to say good bye."

"You're acting like we won't see each other again! We will! So, see you later Ren!"

She started to walk off, then turned back around.

"One more thing, next time you see me, return this favor."

Rey kissed him on the cheek before skipping off.
