Ron POV

After four of the boys from Chirons Academy left the great hall, I watched the remaining students begin to whisper to each other.

"What was that all about Annie? I thought he lost the mark? How could it have come back?" The scary one with the spiky hair hissed at the blonde. She shushed her friend and addressed the group in a hushed tone.

"We can't talk about that here! Tonight in the dorm we can discuss it further. Besides we don't actually know if its back or why. That's why the boys went outside, Nico is testing our theory." She sounded worried, a little nagging voice in my head was telling me that there was something fishy about what they are saying. A mark? I think there was something to do with a mark that my father talked about when I was a small boy. Making eye contact with Hermione who shook her head, the message clear. Not here.

"Annabeth, do you really think that those boys are going to be safe about testing any theories? I mean three of them are..." she hesitated for a moment with a look around to see if anyone was listening. I quickly turned my head away, pretending to listen to Fred and George's conversation about the unfair fact that quidditch was canceled.

"-Powerful. Even with Will there, if anything were to go wrong-"

"Piper, they'll be fine." Annabeth paused glancing out the doors of the great hall, with a worried expression on her face before spinning back on her friends who wore the same faces of concern. "But just in case you're right, I'll go out there and make sure they don't do anything overly stupid. I'll see you guys in-" She frowned at her timetable before huffing impatiently and turning on the big burly guy who seemed to freeze up like he was in trouble. Why he was so nervous about the Annabeth girl was beyond me, she didn't even have her wand. "What do we have Frank. I can't read this." I only got more confused, can't read it? Why couldn't she read it? Harry seemed to think the same as I did because I saw him frown at his eggs.

"Charms. We have charms with the fourth-year Gryffindors and Slytherins. Nearly all of our classes are with those two groups. A few classes with Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, but mostly the first two." Annabeth nodded stating that she and the first four boys would meet them there. The rest after a moment of silence the small Latino boy, Leo? Joked about kids of the powerful had a tendency to be dark and mysterious. After a groan from the rest of the group and a few smacks in his general direction, he proceeded to annoy

"What just because Percy-boy has the mark and we don't know what's happening with him right now doesn't mean I can't make jokes at their expense!"

"Leo, we aren't saying don't make jokes, just be careful how you talk, we aren't at Camp anymore. We have to be careful." A small girl with dark curly hair gently reminded him, "come on guys we don't want to be late for our first class." All of the students got up and left the great hall.

"It's weird, isn't it? The fact that they are from America? There has never been an American team in the Triwizard tournament. It's always only been Beaubatons, Durmstrang, and Hogwarts." Harry and I spun on Hermione,

"How could you possibly know that?" I asked her

"I picked up a book on the way to the common room last night." I rolled my eyes, of course, she went to the library the first night we are back at school to do some research.

"Of course you did 'Mione. That's not what I find strange though. Why do they get to be an exception to the rules? It's bloody rubbish." There was a chorus of agreements from around us. Hermione simply scoffed,

"Dumbledore and the other headmasters must have a good reason, or they would not agree to it."

"But Hermione, what about what happened with the goblet and Perseus? It doesn't make sense!" She rolled her eyes

"Ron give them a chance! Also didn't he ask us to call him Percy? " She scolded me. "Besides its time for Charms anyway." I threw my hands in the air as she packed up.

"That's another thing! Majority of them are of age, why do they need to be in a year 4 charms class? Especially if they are so advanced their youngest who can't be any older than us can enter! It's suspicious is all-"

"He has a point there Hermione." Harry turned to her with a soft voice. She huffed again, with all of her books in her arms as she stood.

"Maybe so, but either way this tournament is supposed to have us make new friends and connections within the wizarding community. We need to at least give them a chance." Harry nodded and we followed her and the few remaining Gryffindors towards Flitwicks classroom in silence.

"Fine, but I'm keeping an eye on them either way." With a sigh, she sat in an empty seat in front of Harry and me.

All but the four boys and Annabeth were already seated, taking up most of the right side of the classroom, which was forcing the Slytherins and Gryffindors onto the other, no one seemed to want to sit anywhere near them. I mean they were so loud and wouldn't stop moving. Leo was having a conversation with Piper both of which were doing something else as they spoke, the small girl seemed flustered and kept waving her hand in front of her face like she was too warm while he fiddled with some wires and other metal pieces, I wasn't sure what he was making or why but he seemed to be doing it subconsciously. The large boy was watching them closely with a small smile. Thalia and the pretty girl Piper seemed to be arguing with the two not twins- the Stolls?- She looked just about ready to skin them alive, Piper seemed to be amused by this but seemed to be wary of her wrath, holding her arm every time she walked forward. The two boys she was yelling at looked terrified and seemed to be looking for an escape from the situation.

"Students, Students! Miss Brown, please return Miss Patil's nose, it looks much better on her face. Mr. Goyle stop harassing Mr. Zabini. He seems to not enjoy your foot on his chair, thank you. And Miss... um-" Flitwick seemed to be at a loss for words, he was staring at the visitor's side frantically. They had not quieted and did not seem to notice he was trying to get their attention. That is until the large boy noticed his expression and our staring and gave a low shout to get their attention.

"Connor, Travis leave Thalia alone, she isn't interested. Piper sit down with her, Jason will be here soon I'm sure. Leo stop embarrassing my girlfriend, I think she's had enough." He had an air of authority around him like he was used to giving orders, they all seemed to listen to him even Leo after he made a joke about it just being too easy. Turning back to Flitwick he nodded.

"Thank you for that Mr-"

"Frank Zahn" he offered no longer with that air of authority surrounding him.

"-Zahn. Of course. Now today we will be going over the confundus charm, can anyone tell me what the confundus charm does?" Hermione's arm shot up like usual and I rolled my eyes, of course she knows the answer, she's brilliant.

"Yes, Miss Granger." She opened up her mouth to speak but was cut off by the banging of the classroom door and an argument, I spun in my seat to see the remaining five visitors entering.

"I thought you said you knew where you were going fly-boy! Those stairs did not look like you knew what you were doing!" Perseus was yelling at a sheepish looking blond boy.

"How was I supposed to know the staircase's move! Besides I caught you before you hit the ground didn't I?" This did not seem to placate the fuming boy next to him.

"I'm lucky you caught me? You're lucky I don't drown you! Nico just about fell to his death with me! That's two dead friends Grace, lucky you caught me. I hate those stairs, I won't go on them again." his eyes were blazing and after he pointed at a very small very pale boy who looked like he wanted to disappear into the floor, Nico I guess, grabbed the other blond boy's hand and dragged him to the seat farthest back by Thalia and Piper. Annabeth seemed to be trying to calm down the situation.

"As if you'd die anyway." the boy scoffed, earning another dark look aimed in his general direction. The two boys were glaring each other down now like they were fighting for control. With a roll of her eyes, Annabeth separated the two of them, indicating the directions they should go. Both eyes flickered to her as she spoke, the fire in them draining.

"Come on Percy, let's sit down. Jason is right he did catch you and none of us knew about the stairs. Granted he grabbed Nico before he fell and had to bring you back up, but he did grab you in the end. Jason go sit." The blond boy, Jason nodded and quickly ran to sit next to Leo who was giving him a discreet thumbs-up. With a shove, Percy was sitting in the seat with her. Spinning on Flitwick her annoyed face turned into one of sincerity in a split second. Merlin was she pretty when she took control, all of the girls from that school seemed to have their own sort of beauty. Piper especially, maybe they wouldn't be so bad to be around even if they were unusual.

"I'm so sorry Mr- uh" She looked at a loss for words and glanced at the large boy again quickly as Professor Flitwick was still a little shocked at the outburst.

"Professor Flitwick." he supplied

"Professor Flitwick, thank you, Frank. I hope we didn't cause any sort of disturbance, we got a little lost as I'm sure you heard. It won't happen again, Sir." She smiled sheepishly and I watched her stomp her foot down on something, a quiet hiss of breath came from beside her and I could faintly hear Perseus cursing. Flitwick shook his head

"Oh no Miss Chase, don't you worry about it. We were just getting started, and yes Mr. Jackson the stairs do like to change, they are magic, just keep a close eye on them as they are the fastest way to my classroom. Now the confundus charm-"

The rest of the day went pretty smoothly, with the Slytherins and Gryffindors avoiding each other, and getting to know the guests a little better. After dinner, we were all permitted to stay and watch the remaining students enter the competition. The doors of the great hall were slammed open with a whoop. Startling everyone in the room as we swung around to see my older brothers entering the hall with Lee and the not twins Stolls close behind with smirks on their faces, whispering about something. It really was quite unnerving how close the five of them had grown since meeting them late last night.

"WE DID IT!"

"WE CAN ENTER"

"MOVE ASIDE MOVE ASIDE!"

My brothers and Lee pushed through the crowd towards the goblet. The Stolls following closely behind still whispering with amused glances at the trio in front of them.

"We perfected the aging potion and we are now going to fool the goblet!" Fred yelled out.

"It won't work. Dumbledore drew the aging line himself. You can't cross. And you most certainly can't outsmart it, its magic." Hermione called out to them

"Why sure we can. You just didn't think of it first." Fred whispered to her with a wink. Causing her to roll her eyes and gesture to continue. She must have seen the confusion on Harry and my's faces because she rolled her eyes once more before leaning in to whisper to us.

"If they aren't going to listen to me, I at least want to see what kind of damage it will do." Harry snorted, turning his attention to the performance in front of us.

"Gather round and watch as I, Fred,"

"And I, George. Enter the goblet of fire!"

"Bottoms up!" they said in unison, everyone cheered as they drank out of two vials. Silence ensued as they stepped into the line after a second where nothing happened another cheer went up from the crowd around us. They then brought their hands up to goblet sides to place their names in when the goblet began to spit and flare. In a second my brothers were thrown across the room, the crowd turned on them laughing, my brother's red hair was now white and they seemed to have grown long white beards just like Dumbledores. They began to yell at each other, and then at Lee. I saw the Stolls sitting on the ground nearby leaning on each other as they laughed. The room suddenly quieted only for the sounds of yelling. The Wizards from Chirons Academy for Magic and Potions walked in talking, but in the silence of the room, it almost seemed like they were arguing.

"You're just jealous because I'm more connected to my dad's power, Pinecone Grace! Come on Hazel, back me up on this." the Di Angelo kid calmly scolded Thalia, turning to the smaller girl behind him for a moment. The party did not seem to have noticed the crowd around them.

"I don't think I have a vote in this, I've never really met him, remember." There was a collective murmur throughout the group when Thalia turned back to the argument beside her.

"What have I said about calling me that, Death Breath! My dad is way more powerful than your dad! Besides, Will said no more dark magic for you! He said it drained you too much, remember? I don't have that problem. I've also got My Lady at my back, that's twice what you have!" She seemed to strike a nerve in the boy beside her as he stopped to stare at her, her face seemed to shift for a moment into one of shock as the others around them shifted uncomfortably. The room seemed to darken and the night sky above us began to crackle. The blond Grace stepped between the two with a hand on each shoulder,

"That was uncalled for Thals, but either way I can't help but agree with you on the fact that her dad is the best." Perseus scoffed from beside Annabeth joining the argument.

"Of course you'd say that you have the same dad, um... more or less so anyway. Besides we all know my dad is the best, I've seen him more often than all of you combined." Perseus told them, Nico spun on the taller boy,

"Not true! Besides we are arguing over who has the stronger dad not who's got the better one"

"Oh, well, in that case, it's still my dad, he has way more titles than the rest of your dads, Boo-yah Pos-" He was tackled by Annabeth, blond Grace, and Thalia, all four hit the ground on top of him hissing words at him, I caught a few in the scuffle as the remaining witches and wizards stood by eyeing us suspiciously like we'd been the ones to interrupt their conversation. I caught a few words from the dogpile on the floor. 'Kelp Head, Seaweed Brain, don't say it, shut up,' followed closely by words that weren't in English, which surprised me. After another moment they all got up off him, his hair wilder than before and his eyes wide.

"Sorry..." he rubbed the back of his head.

"Sorry for interrupting your... um... whatever you were doing, please go back to it." Piper announced to the group, she seemed uncertain, and the people closest to her immediately began to talk to their friends again, which then spread out around the hall as everyone was broken out of the spell their entrance had made. Hermione unphased began to walk towards them, Harry and I in tow.

"What language was that?" she asked as soon as we reached them. They all automatically looked at Annabeth which I found weird. Why would they need to check with her on what language they were speaking?

"It's Greek we learn Greek or Latin in our school, depending on your preference so that we can talk to each other without our enemies knowing what we are talking about." Everyone nodded at her statement turning back to the three of us. I was still confused, what enemies could they possibly have? Hermione seemed to accept this answer, Harry and I glanced at each other agreeing, these people were weird and we would find out what they were so nervous about telling us.
