This chapter has direct quotes from all the books, I have finished some of the incomplete ones how I want to.
Jason POV:
"Pico DiGio! Oh, Pico DiGio! You smell funny, funny bunny." I could hear the cursing before I could see the scene causing the commotion.
"Peeves! I swear to the Gods! When I catch you, and I will, I will vaporize you before you can say Feilds of Punishment! Torna qui, bastardo volante. Stupido poltergeist, se ti prendo..." I turned the corner to see Nico screaming at Peeves with Will beside him picking up his boyfriend's supplies and putting them haphazardly in the bag beside him. The two of them were dodging his raining belongings. The Gryffindors around them were howling with laughter. Peeves occasionally was swooping just out of reach of Nico, causing his hair to stand up like it had been rubbed with a balloon. I stifled a laugh myself at the scene. The poltergeist had been an annoyance for Nico from the moment the two of them had crossed paths. According to Nico he wasn't dead but had been born of chaos, not the primordial, therefore he couldn't control the trickster. That had been the defining moment in their relationship, and Peeves had taken a liking to messing with the son of Hades, addressing him as a chip dip was the cherry on top.
"Awe, Pico DiGio can't catch Peeves, Pico DiGio feels insignificant. Catch the quill." somehow Peeves had gotten some of Nico's belongings back from the ground and was throwing them back at the boy, who was getting more and more frustrated. He was now cursing in Greek and Italian. From what I could understand Peeves was getting called a plethora of colorful names. I distinctly heard Nico cuss out the poltergeist's non-existent mother which caused Frank and Hazels jaws to drop beside me. Percy was howling with his own laughter as he picked up the pace to the scene.
"Neeks! I can hear you from the staircases, I didn't know you knew that many ancient insults. Dive left!" At his nickname, Nico's attention had been taken away from his assailant, which had gained Peeves the opportunity to drop all of his collection above Nico's head. Without question, Nico dove narrowly missing the projectile. I watched in horror as he crashed into the surrounding crowd. With one last laugh and a raspberry in the demigod's direction, he flew down the hallway, Nico yelling after him from the dogpile he was on.
"Peeves! Come here you slimy little hybrid ratbag miscreant! When I catch you, Ill banish you! You f- ooph" Suddenly his screaming was cut off by him being thrown off of the group he had landed on trying to dodge his belongings. Percy's face fell from an amused look to a glower helping his cousin to his feet.
"Watch it, Di Angelo, I don't want you near me." The hairs on my body stood up as I jogged to stand with the two of them, Travis Anders was getting off the ground wand raised. Of all the people Nico could have dove into it had to be the one dude we hated. That sounded like the kind of luck we had.
"Piss off Anders, the feelings mutual." Nico growled back shaking off Percy's arm, accepting his bag of newly collected things from Will and Hazel who had collected it. "Also, next time I dive to the side to avoid falling projectiles pay more attention to my movements than helping the poltergeist, you creatin. Next time you help that miscreant I will treat you with the same courtesy I would him." I glared at the boy in question, picturing him dangling over the black lake, by the way Percy's face twitched he was thinking the same.
"Leave him alone Anders," Frank told him having recovered from the onslaught of profanity,
"Throw him like that again and we'll feed you to the squid Anders." Percy warned him when Will gave us a look saying 'leave it alone'. The boy scoffed, fixing his tie and turning to his equally horrible friends before crawling up the ladder that had just dropped from the ceiling. Travis Stoll shuddered beside me,
"I hate the fact that we share the same name, makes me sick." Connors face split into a smile,
"Oh that's so fun! Now you and Percy share names with annoying Gryffindors!" Travis hit his brother as they danced toward the ladder.
"I'm telling you Nico, say the word and he will literally be swimming with the fishes, Percy, and I will gladly take turns throwing him around." Thalia snarled stepping next to said boy never taking her eyes off the group. I was just about to remind her that the rest of us wanted a turn too, but Will interrupted it,
"Don't, he isn't worth it. He just small minded, you lot like us and that's all that matters. He doesn't deserve our attention. Let's get to class," He and Nico started up after the Stolls, Leo, Piper, Hazel and Frank followed silently with scowls. Percy inexplicably began to giggle, gaining our attention.
"What Kelp head." Thalia snapped,
"I'm pretty sure water and fishes are my domain, little cousin." He was still chuckling as Thalia spun on him.
"One word about it Seaweed Brain and you'll get the shock of your life. You don't scare me, I've seen you do some stupid stuff plus, I'm older than you, you boyscout." Percy raised his eyebrow at the admittedly lame insult, before bending down to mock her, her face morphed into absolute rage and no one had the chance to tell the two that this was not the time for playful banter.
"You may have been born before me, but I guarantee I have been walking longer than you, Pinecone face." Thalia's face morphed into a scowl before shoving him, a loud snap echoed through the hallway as Percy flew away from her. Annabeth shrieked,
"Thalia! That wasn't necessary! He was intentionally pushing your buttons! You walked right into it!" She then spun on her boyfriend who despite smelling like a firecracker was still showing a troublemaker smile as he sat up.
"Oh, it is too easy to annoy you, Grace. It has been far too friendly for us, it was starting to feel wrong." I could almost hear Thalia's teeth snap beside me as she resisted the urge to kill him. I sighed, why did we always end up here? I wondered as I turned to defend my sister.
"Percy, that is a horrible reason. Don't be a dick." I reprimanded him, he shrugged as Thalia frowned, both ignoring my comment.
"It has been a few months, hasn't it? Too bad we have a class or I'd gladly give you a rematch for kicking your ass at the river." She spun on her heel disappearing up the ladder. Percy immediately followed calling after her,
"Oh really? Using class as an excuse? Let's go, Pinecone Grace, let's do this as soon as we get out unless you're too scared of me beating you like I did at the river. I'm not fourteen anym-" his voice cut off as the hatch closed behind him.
"I hate it when they do that, I always feel like one of them is going to end up dead." Annabeth groaned, rubbing her forehead. I chuckled at the action, patting her shoulder as we followed the pair up to our first Divination class.
The class was loud as we took our seats. There was a clear divide in the room, Red on one side Green on the other, our friends had found seats on the Slytherin side of the room and Gryffindors. Leo, the Stolls, Percy, and Piper were whispering to each other with grim smiles and mischievous eyes In the sea of red. Annabeth sighed muttering about how smiles like that from those five never ended well, I had to agree with her as I followed with a look at the other half of our group. As we reached them a lady with large glasses and the second curliest hair, after Hermione of course, I'd ever seen practically floated in. I saw all my fellow demigods lean away from her, almost like we could collectively tell that whatever was about to happen was going to be horrible for us. Her voice floated around the room as it went silent. My body buzzed with warning signs just looking at her almost like it was saying
'Crazy, Crazy, back it up, back it up. Why aren't you moving? Let's move Son of Jupiter.'
"Welcome back students. I apologize for the delay in my return, I hope Professor Meriweather was a good substitute for me while I was gone." There was a feeling of confusion that rippled across the classroom, the strange lady in front of us didn't seem to notice. Had I not known that unlike in America, classes at Hogwarts lasted the whole year with alternating weeks and the fact my body was telling me to run away from this seemingly nice old lady, I would have been concerned about that statement. The advice that had been given to us by a well meaning Hermione who refused to take the class was to 'avoid the old nut like the plague' because she was a fake and it was a waste of time.
"I see some faces that I have not had the pleasure to greet in my classroom before, hello children." She was currently looking at the others with a frown like she couldn't quite place them. Nico, Frank and Hazel seemed to squirm under her gaze as it passed them, when she made eye contact with me I felt the same shudder run through me. My inner thoughts were clear on how they felt about her. They seemed to agree with Hermione's earlier statement and then some, she gave me the chills the same way the oracle did when it took over Rachel's body. I couldn't wait to leave. Her eyes hit Percy last and she seemed to slump slightly where she stood. Staying in that position, one of the Gryffinor girls called out to her, and when she didn't answer stood up and walked toward her teacher. Percy was looking a little panicked, Annabeth grabbed his hand as they stared at the still form.
"Professor Trelawney? Are you alright?" Another girl called out to her friend.
"Lavender, you should go get Madam Pomfrey," the girl, Lavender ignored her and reached out to touch her teacher's shoulder before shrieking and running back to her friends as the professor suddenly stood up. I heard several people topple over in surprise and a few other yells in response. My inner brain was now yelling at me, instead of instructing me.
'DANGER, DANGER, DANGER. MOVE YOUR PODEX, Fight or Leave.' That same voice shut right up as my group scattered as she stalked towards us, reaching for Percy who was frozen in his seat as she began to speak, he let out a gasp shoving Annabeth away from the pair.
You shall go west, and face the god who has turned,
You shall find what was stolen, and see it safely returned,
You shall be betrayed by one who calls you a friend,
And you shall fail to save what matters most in the end.
Percy and Annabeth made audible sounds of distress as the old lady blindly reached back still with Percy's arm in her arm, he was white as a sheet now and shaking. The demigods on the other side of the room had come rushing over to watch as everyone in the vicinity ran to the far corner, Slytherins were standing watching with terrified curiosity. Trelawny's grip grabbed Thalia who screamed as the old bat pulled her closer, I took a step forward before Thalia let a small blast of wind knock me onto my previously mentioned podex. Same as what Percy did to Annabeth. My sister tried to shake the old lady loose in a futile attempt to escape before going still like Percy. Whatever was happening to them, I desperately wanted to stop.
Five shall go west to the goddess in chains,
One shall be lost in the land without rain,
The bane of Olympus shows the trail,
Campers and Hunters combined prevail,
The Titan's curse must one withstand,
And one shall perish by a parent's hand.
Thalia, Nico, and Annabeth let out soft cries as she finished. Will grabbed Nico and dragged him away from the scene, his face full of anguish. I didn't understand what was happening but I could identify prophecies any day of the week. Based on the reactions around me these prophecies were old ones. Spinning she let go of the dazed pair, Connor and Travis ran to catch Thalia as she sobbed. The witch blew past them and grabbed a now horrified Annabeth who tried to run, Percy was staring off into space until he heard her yell, going to her side with a pained face and trying to rip her out of the vise like grip she had on his girlfriend, only to have his own hand snatched with another gasp, his whole body was vibrating, but unlike other times when he had been in distress the room was not shaking nor was there a wall of water. He seemed drained.
You shall delve in the darkness of the endless maze,
The dead, the traitor, and the lost one raise.
You shall rise or fall by the ghost king's hand,
The Child of Athena's final stand.
Destroy with a hero's final breath,
And lose a love to worse than death.
Annabeth had tears streaming down her face standing stock still, I'd never seen her look so vulnerable before as she finally succeeded in twisting free and into Percy's arms who looked no better, the two of them stumbled back dazed. Will and the Stolls had made horrible sounds of pain at the words, Nico and Thalia let loose another anguished yell,
"Stop it! Stop It! PLEASE!" he was yelling but stopped as she moved again, Annabeth screamed as the lady followed the two of them, Percy threw his girlfriend behind him and stumbled forward, as if he had accepted the fact that prophecies were tumbling out of this ladies mouth, all of which he was apart of. She grabbed him and he grabbed her right back, with a look of determination.
"Let's hear it," he snarled, Connor was dragging a hysterical Thalia towards where Nico and Will had taken sanctum on the opposite side of the small room. Travis having abandoned his brother ran to pull Annabeth as far away as he could as she shook. Will was trying to comfort the two of them as they shook, glancing back at us in terror. Frank, Leo, Piper, Hazel and I stayed right where we were as she continued to spew things we'd never heard before out of her mouth.
A Half-Blood of the eldest gods,
Shall reach sixteen against all odds,
And see the world in endless sleep.
The hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap,
A single choice shall end his days,
Olympus to preserve or raze.
Percy was shaking horribly now, I could hear sniffles and soft sobs from the others. She was silent for a moment as Percy forced her to stay with him, she was struggling to move. I mistakenly walked closer, hoping to help restrain her from attacking anyone else. Percy watched me approach before shouting.
"NO! Jason, Stay back!" but it was too late, she spun, grabbing my own arm. Panic over took my body and the little voice came back for just enough time to tell me I was an idiot, which was a fair assessment considering the circumstance.
Percy was now at my side trying to pry the ladies arm off of me frantically, despite the fact that he looked dead tired. I could feel the prophecy as she spoke bouncing around in my head, the images that accompanied it being forced to the front of my thoughts like the worst movie in the world. Fighting the Titans on Mount Tam, every death, the fall of the black throne, fighting Krios and the Trojain' sea monster, Reyna bloody and bruised, leading my battalion into battle, and Ladon burning any and everyone that got to close, my arm burned in a sort of phantom pain, reminding me that I'd been injured.
The mountain stands tall and prepared
The Titan lord awaits, weapons bared.
Final battle to topple the throne, you'll find the key
Guarded by the beast of the sea,
If the Son of the King should succeed,
A leader's support he will need.
I had a moment of clarity when she released me before she snatched my hand once more causing Percy to violently curse beside me, Instead of the battle at Mount Tam, my next quest flew through my head; Piper, Leo, Festus, Canada, Minos, the mall, coach hedge, the wolves, the hunters, finding out I had a sister, Titans and Giants, Heras cage and ultimately my unfortunate view of her wholeiness in all her stupid bright glory along with every feeling I had felt at the time crashed down on me, reminding me that I hadn't known anything more than my name. The idea that Percy had willingly endured four in quick succession was horrifying, two, one right after the other was shocking enough to my system.
Child of Lightning, beware the earth,
The giants' revenge the seven shall birth,
The forge and dove shall break the cage,
And death unleash, through Hera's rage.
I felt my strength waver as she released me, I faintly heard Piper and Leo gasp as our prophecy was uttered, both of them taking steps back. Percy was desperately trying to stop her ambush towards the rest of our friends who were now all across the classroom. At the same time was avoiding her hands like they were a disease, which honestly was a better description than she deserved. Dodging and weaving he shouted to the group,
"Frank! Hazel! MOVE! Don't let her touch you!" Both Romans eyes widened realizing that their quest was next,
"Jason! Help me!" hearing my name snapped me out of my reverie as I stumbled to help the son of Posideon who was struggling with the old lady who had way too much strength for someone who looked so frail. I hesitated in touching her, scared to bring about anymore memories before Percy barked at me,
"It's not your turn, she won't bother you." I nodded grabbing her arms and holding them down, still shaking so she couldn't grab Percy as he stood in front of her blocking her path with his body. We succeeded in stopping her momentarily before something threw us both across the room, landing far away from our friends. Through the pain overtaking my body I could see her raised wand, a spell seeming to have tossed us. Frank stopped his escape seeing us get thrown and made the mistake of stepping towards us to help, giving the now free Trelawny the opportunity to snatch his wrist. He gasped shuddering as the memories caught him off guard. Hazel shrieked,
"Frank! Oh my gods," Percy and I shook the shock of being tossed across the room, his eyes were glazed and his whole body was shaking, having had two prophecies memories shoved down my throat I could feel that my power was unresponsive, giving me an extra unwanted dose of fear. I could only imagine how the son of Poseidon beside me was faring, his hands twitched and he closed his eyes before grunting with a shake of his head, he couldn't concentrate enough to summon anything either. Dread spread through my body as I willed myself to stand, unsuccessfully. Trelawny seemed confused as the words tumbled out of her mouth, like two prophecies at once, I shuddered at the thought.
To the north, beyond the gods, lies the legion's crown, -Go to Alaska-
Falling from ice the son of Neptune shall drown,
To return for the goddess of Lucks day, - come back by sundown on June twenty-fourth or die.-
Your way will victory sway,
Death shall greet you like an old friend, -find Thanatos and free him-
Failing will bring your home's early end,
She released Frank who promptly backed away with her following him arms out. He was breathing heavily before he turned into an equally distressed iguana at her feet. I would have laughed at the irony had it not been such horrible circumstances. Hazel started to rush to her boyfriend's side before stopping dead and running away from the crazy teacher standing over her boyfriend, who seemed surprised by the fact that he was no longer able to be a target.
"She's going in order, next is the Prophecy of Seven! Move!" she shouted causing Leo, Annabeth, and Piper to scatter in different directions. Percy growled beside me and rushed her with a strength I couldn't imagine where he had pulled from, my own limbs felt like expired jello that had been out in the sun for a few days, not to mention the growing pain in my chest. Grabbing her arm and closing his eyes shoulders hunched prepared for the onslaught of memories which seemed to cripple him. Annabeth cried out,
"Percy No!" I couldn't agree with her more, Percy was purposefully making himself a target for horrible memories. Not that I wanted another turn down memory lane, but subjecting yourself to that wasn't something I wanted for anyone. Especially Percy who had already been through four. Just as the old lady regained her balance and was reaching for the son of Poseidon, I watched in horror as Leo ran at the pair, determination crossed his face, I yelled to him terror coursing through my body, confident that if she got Leo he would re experience dying.
"Leo! Stop!" my words exiting my mouth just as the two collided. Percy was sent sprawling again looking dazed by the contact but still attached to the old lady, except on his back. Leo was kept from tumbling past them by a firm grip from the old teacher. He gasped and dropped to one knee as his body shuddered, both boys looked pained and yelled out in response.
Seven half-bloods shall answer the call.
To storm or fire, the world must fall.
An oath to keep with a final breath,
And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death.
She released them and Leo put both hands on the ground which began to smoke as he groaned and let out a horrible scream. Percy was frozen on the ground and I realized with a sense of horror that he had just gone through Tartarus again. Dread rushed through my body at the thought that I hadn't considered that aspect when I yelled at Leo. The following silence was broken by a yell of absolute terror from Annabeth as she attempted to run from the oncoming threat who was zerod in on the daughter of Athena, running straight into Nico and Will both of which went down with her, Nico right next to her.
The old lady moved with inhuman speed as if possessed. Annabeth tried to detangle herself from the son of Hades as she spoke "Nico, oh my gods, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, run." she cried as our professor snatched her hand. Annabeth let out a fearful scream as tears streamed down her face. Nico in an attempt to help her snatched the old ladies and Annabeth's wrists only to have his own grabbed and he sucked in a breath before gasping for air, like he couldn't breathe. I couldn't recall ever seeing Annabeth and Nico on a quest together during our journey to Greece. Piper and Hazel rushed the group and were yanking at the older woman's vice grip without much luck as she spoke to a sobbing Annabeth and gasping Nico who was clutching her arm and his sisters. Will was shaking his head having hit his head against a students table, dazed.
Wisdom's daughter walks alone,
The Mark of Athena burns through Rome.
Twins snuff out the angel's breath,
Who holds the key to endless death.
Giants' bane stands gold and pale,
Won through pain from a woven jail.
Professor Trelawney let go of the two of them and Hazel and Piper shoved her away from the four of them, succeeding before she could reclamp on any of them, the pair were staring off into space, in similar states to Percy. I could only imagine what kind of horrors were going through their heads. That Prophecy had been horrible for both of them, neither ever talked about it. Hazel and Piper grabbed the two of them just as the shadows surrounded them and they disappeared. Will shouted finally getting his bearings,
"Nico! NO!" but it was too late the four of them were shadow traveled, presumably far away, leaving no trace. I raised myself up slowly feeling a sharp pain in my side, falling again. The impact must have broken something, ignoring the pain I called out to the remaining three boys and sobbing Thalia on their feet. I pointed at Percy and Leo, with a quick glance over at the Iguanna that was Frank right by the door now, moving as if drunk, hitting its tail occasionally, I briefly wondered if he couldn't change back.
"Get them out. Go." Will either didn't hear me or didn't care to listen and ran towards me instead. Travis and Connor were whiter than sheets with a silent sobbing Thalia between them, she was holding onto Connor like a lifeline, which was surprising due to the fact he annoyed her and they didn't get along. He wasn't really doing anything but holding her arm, with a glance down at her he whispered something to his brother before picking up my sister and rushing to the hatch of the door knocking a few students right off their feet on his way to the door. Travis nodded leaving her with his brother before appearing beside Leo who was slowly sinking into the floor burning it. Travis touched him before cursing, snatching his hand away,
"He's burning up, I can't touch him." he looked at me frantically as Trelawny slowly and calmly stood up not yet moving like a banshee across the room, she seemed disoriented as if whoever was next wasn't present. So of course the crazy witch was probably deciding who to tourture next, the only remaining one that I was aware of was our current one which I was hoping to avoid. Considering Will, Connor, Thalia and Frank and I were the furthest from her. The most likely targets were the two incapaciated demigods or Travis, none of which were good choices in my mind. Travis seemed to have the same mindset as he looked at the still figure looking around then back at the demigods beside him.
"Jason, What do I do?" I had no idea, I couldn't think straight enough to think of a solution, I knew that my, Thalia, and Percy's powers were a little haywire now, Franks transformation into an animal and Nicos sudden disappearance with half our group indicated the same. Leos' situation was dangerous, if we couldn't touch him he might just burn through the floor or worse, set his whole body on fire. Will was now helping me to my feet and for the first time I noticed that all the other students were still in the classroom, staring in abstract horror. Frustration flooded my system as I addressed them, pain nearly drowning out my thoughts as I yelled.
"HELP THEM, WHAT ARE YOU STARING AT?" to my absolute horror not a single one of them moved, instead just stared at me, I'm not sure what I thought they were going to do, they were 14 but they knew more spells than I did and were obviously not the targets of the onslaught. Even Harry and Ron didn't move a muscle, except to blink at me, which was infuriating. I made a promise that I would never stare blankly at someone ever again, might I look as stupid as they did.
Travis looked even more panicked as Connor ushered Thalia towards the exit keeping a large distance from the walking prophecy wielder who was walking slowly now towards the three boys, which admittedly was much more ominous and blood chilling than when she was rushing people. Blood rushing to my head darkened my vision for a moment and Will swore as I felt some relief, part of the pain seemed to disappear altogether. Will grunted and was leaning on me now, the two of us supporting the other. My body was probably running on adrenaline, and losing some of my pain was a relief, having only felt a similar feeling with Reyna when she leant me strength when I was fighting the Titan Krios on Mount Tam. I turned to face him shocked as he groaned grimly beside me, holding his own head in his hands,
"Didn't know I could do that, Holy shit." The next few moments were filled with a loud groan as Percy sat up looking more dazed then before, which I had I not seen him, wouldn't have believed to be possible, his eyes were unfocused but at the same time they seemed to zero in on Leo and Travis beside him. He raised one arm and with a guttural yell seemed to pull water out of nowhere dousing the pair, shuttering as he did so. Travis stuttered from the onslaught, choking for a moment while he hesitantly reached for Leo, managing to grab the boys shirt. He turned to Percy,
"Stay here, don't be stupid." Percy, to no one's surprise, did not respond, Travis lifted Leo as he ran to his brother who was holding his wand below him now with Thalia no longer beside him. Percy then stood looking unstable on his feet, Will called out to him to not be an idiot, which he ignored. We started to fall, Travis seeing this panicked appearing at our side grabbing us as we almost went down. Travis was breathing heavy and swore as Will and I at the same time lost our balance, dropping all our weight on him. Trelawny was taking long measured steps towards Percy, who was alone in the room now,
"Percy, just leave come on," Will called out, still grasping his own head in misery, while mine just felt like I'd been bludgeoned and mind wiped again. Travis dragged the two of us towards the door, groaning under the weight. Percy ignored us completely and still looking dazed and in pain walked right up to the demon that was our teacher and ground out his next words.
"Come and get me."
She stopped in front of him before slowly reaching for his hand, which he snatched. Anguish filled his features, hitting his knees once more. Will let go of us falling to the ground. Travis grunted still swearing as he reached for our friend, stopping when the dazed looking Iguana turned into Frank beside the son of Apollo dragging him to his feet. Frank's eyes were red and puffy; he'd told me that his grandmother died that trip and Hazel, he and Percy had come close to dying more often than not. Despite his hold on our friend, one hand was in his jacket, and I recalled that Frank's life was tied to a piece of burning stick, even if it was in a burn proof, waterproof bag. He was glancing over at Percy and the horrible witch that I hoped to never see again, with guilt taking over his face, a feeling I fully endorsed. Percy swayed in his position, reliving the past three months that had been worse for him than the rest of us as she spoke.
Twelve half-bloods must follow the mark,
Young magics' blood will be the spark.
To return with less than you left,
Or be welcomed as an honored guest.
Be silent and unfree,
For the dead will raise to see.
You must play the game,
Where loyalty will be one's bane.
After she released him, Percy promptly collapsed to the ground, knocked out. Silence filled the room as Travis left us with Frank, rushing for the son of Poseidon. I could barely see his chest moving up and down as Travis struggled with the dead weight, trying to avoid the statue of a teacher above him. Suddenly she gasped and he froze like a deer in the headlights as she looked around at the damage of her classroom with interest. Not bothering to pick up the unconscious demigod and at a normal speed, scrambled back from her dragging him along the ground eyes wide.
"Oh dear, what's happened here? Oh honey, what's wrong with your friend? He doesn't look so good." She reached for the pair to which Travis let out a yell pulling an unconscious Percy behind him, and standing in front of the boy shaking in absolute terror.
"Don't touch us!" Trelawny stopped within inches of Travis' chest as he held his breath with wide eyes. Frank watched the scene, he was so detached from the world he seemed to be seeing and not seeing at the same time, I felt for the dude, my brain felt exactly the same. Will lay groaning from taking the majority of my pain beside us gasping for breath. He let out a hissed few words that only the two of us heard,
"Touch those two and I'll poison you so you're chest feels like a cannonball hit it, you absolute trelós." I thought the greek word Will had just muttered meant nutter but imagining the son of Apollo use such an absurd word made me think I'd imagined him speaking at all.
"Oh dear, are you alright? You're shaking like a leaf." She reached out once more, and Travis, overcoming his fear, or rather giving in to it, yanked Percy off the ground and showed up beside us hyperventilating. Connor was now on the ground below us levitating Will down next to a trembling Leo and Thalia who was crouched on the ground, arms hugging herself. I had no idea what she had seen but I'd never seen her so upset before and the sight sent a healthy amount of fear and protectiveness through my body for my older sister. Leo was in the same position as before but was no longer burning his handprints into the ground.
After a moment of confusion the professor turned to find the four of us huddled around the hatch, Percy unresponsive and me and Will just as much so, it hurt to breathe and move now, which had to be a bad sign. Frank was beside Travis, still looking dazed and upset but glaring like I'd never seen before in her direction, meanwhile Travis was shaking so bad I could hear his teeth rattling but despite his fear and a few tears running down his face, responded to her.
"M'am I think you should know that the twelve of us will not be returning to this class, if you could resist from coming into contact with us. We would really appreciate it. Also could I borrow some of your students, My brother and I can't get them all the help they need alone." She nodded, still confused as Blaise, Draco, Pansy, and Harry stood up, Harry dragged a still shocked Ron towards us. Rons mouth moved as if he was saying something horrible to the Slytherins who tensed and moved faster as they approached. Travis raising his wand helping his brother get Percy and I down the hole was the last thing I saw before I blacked out.
