"Both of you. My office. Now." Jessica said firmly and Harvey and I stare at each other in horror. As I walk to follow Jessica, Harvey grabs hold of my wrist and pulls me into a corner where we were concealed from everyone.

"I can see the panic in your eyes, we will sort it." He says in a comforting tone and he brushes his thumb over my hand. I let out a little smile, one that he caught. "I want to talk about what happened back there too." Harvey whispered and I bit my bottom lip. 

"I... I can't. Not now." He pins me with a soft gaze. 

"Did you... regret it?" My breath catches and I look away. I knew he was talking about the kiss. 

This kiss that I loved too much, but couldn't do anything more. Every bone in my body wanted me to tell Harvey how it felt, how I feel about him and how much I wanted to talk about it. But, I couldn't. Not now. Not while the firm was at risk, and certainly not while Jessica, Louis and Harvey were ultimately dragged into my mess. 

"Harvey, please... not now. I really, don't want to... get Jessica involved with this. It's way too personal and it's a risk for her. And the whole firm." Harvey rubs my shoulder and nods.

"Dylan won't get away with this. He's a tough son of a bitch, but I'll break him." 

"I know you will Harvey..." Harvey licks his lips and fiddles with his tie.

"I'll tell her we have it handled. Jessica has confidence in me..." I was relieved. "...most of the time."

"Harvey!" I harshly whisper.

"Sorry. I'll sort it. I'll try to keep it confidential. I promise." He steps back and walks towards Jessica office. I sigh heavily and collect myself for a moment, following Harvey to her office, where they are already in conversation. 

"I'm not letting you jeopardise this firm again Harvey." Jessica raises her voice as I step through the glass door and close it. "And you, he knows you doesn't he?" I swallow.

"Yes-"

"Jessica. I know how shitty this looks-"

"Harvey.... shitty is too small of a word. Both of you have been keeping information hidden from me. Information that I need to know." She folds her arms and an angry expression is still plastered onto her face.

"I..." Slowly, I have the courage to speak up. "I know how this looks Jessica. I know that you hardly know me and probably have no faith in me. But, trust us, we will sort it. And we won't go behind your back again. Any more threats... it comes to you." I look at Harvey and he speaks.

"Trust her Jessica. Trust me. We'll sort it." Jessica walks to the window and sighs. Then, she slowly lowered herself onto her chair, leaning back into it. The silence was deafening and tension thickened in the air. 

"Fine." I raised my eyebrows in shock, Harvey smiling. "Both of you, sort this. Or Amelia, you're fired. I bowed my head in acknowledgment and both of us walk out of the room. I exhale in relief.

"Well thank God that's over." Harvey remarks and turns to me.

"That was too close Harvey..." My heart begins to race. I hated this feeling. 

"Hey..." He says softly. "Come on, grab your things, I'll meet you at the elevators." His smile comforted me, my heartbeat steadying. 

I quickly grabbed my things and stepped into an empty elevator with Harvey. "Don't worry. We will sort this." I feel Harvey fingertips touch mine and my fingers lace into his. He gives me a light squeeze. "Let's head back and make a plan." There was a moment of silence and I turn my head to Harvey. Our eyes lock and I open my mouth a little.

"Thank you..." A tear forms in my eye and he simpers.

The lift doors open and we immediately pull away our hands from each other - they felt bare.

Both Harvey and I walk fast outside and I pause at the sight of Dylan. 

A smirk planted on his face and he waved at me. Tears formed in my eyes as I felt the feeling of terror overtake me. It's the only time I ever felt like this. Whenever I saw him again. 

A sudden feeling of Harvey's fingers intertwined with my own pulls me out of it and we get into his car, driving away.
