Nagisa's POV

Summer vacation finally started!!

This is the season where you just want to sit down under an umbrella in the beach eating watermelon. Or eat ice cream and popsicles all day...

Ah, right. In this summer vacation, there's gonna be a special event, an assassination in Okinawa Island Resort! It's about two weeks away, so we still have some time to relax.

I sat on my couch while eating my popsicle.

"Summer vacation, huh... It's already late July? Time flies..." I thought.

I looked at the calendar. July 20.

"...July 20th?"

My eyes widened, and I stood up, "My birthday!!"

I continued to eat my popsicle, "Hm... Maybe I should treat myself!"

I threw away my now-finished popsicle, and walked upstairs to my room to change. Since it's summer, I'm wearing a yellow short sleeved top tucked in some shorts.

My mom wasn't home, so I took the key and locked my house going out.

I decided to buy a small cake from a cafe nearby. While walking, I thought about Karna-kun.

"Now that I think about it... Have I ever told Karma-kun my birthday? I don't think so... Oh well..."

I continued walking towards the cafe happily.

Karma's POV

"Today is Nagisa's birthday!?" I shouted into my phone.

Kayano screamed, "Eeeh!? No way!! You didn't know!?"

"I didn't! She never told me..." I said.

"Well, what are you waiting for!? Go get her a present!! The party is this evening, so you still have time!"

I got up from my bed, "R-right!"

I hung up and quickly got changed. I went out, running to find a present.

"What would Nagisa like...? Knowing her, she would like cupcakes and puddings... No!! I can't give her those!!"

I slowed down, and looked around. I saw a teddy bear shop. "Would she like a bear?" I walked closer to it and looked around.

While looking, I saw a familiar blonde girl browsing through the stuffed bears. She noticed me and shouted, "Hey, Karma!"

I walked over to her, "Hey, Nakamura."

"Looking for a present for Nagisa too? I decided to buy her a blue teddy bear." She said, lifting up her plastic she was holding.

"What are you giving her?" She asked.

"I'm looking for it now."

"What!? You of all people should have prepared beforehand!" She pointed a finger at me.

I walked out, "Well, see ya. I'm gonna find a present."

"Wait! You can't go by yourself! Who knows what you're gonna buy for her!"

I looked back, "I'll be fine. I'll find one eventually."

"Do you know what to give her?"

"...No..."

She walked forward, grinning, "Well, off we go!!"

I sighed, and followed behind her.

She looked over to the side of the road, and smiled.

I asked her, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing~"

Kayano's POV

I was making a banner that read "Happy Birthday Nagisa" in English. I hope I spelt that right...

Suddenly, my phone rang. I looked at it and saw that it was Rio-chan.

I picked it up, "Hello? What's wrong, Rio-chan?"

"Ah, Kaede. I'm out with Karma now to find his present for Nagisa. That guy didn't get her a present yet! Can you believe it!?" She said.

"I know, right!? Tell me about it!"

"Anyway, that's not what I'm trying to say. I just saw Nagisa sitting in a cafe, so I think this is a good chance."

"Really!? But what if she comes back home?"

"Seeing the amount of cakes she ordered, I think she's gonna be home late."

I got up, "Alright, thanks Rio-chan!" I hung up, and immediately called Sugino-kun. After a short moment, he picked up.

"Sugino-kun, change of plans. Call everyone else and meet up at Nagisa's house now!"

He groaned, "What!? Right now!? ...Argh, fine..."

"Be sure to bring all the props!"

"Yeah. Well, see ya later!" He hung up.

I grabbed a bag and folded the banner, putting it in with some coloring tools. I can continue it in Nagisa's house. I also put in my present.

I walked to her house, and held the key. We already told her mom beforehand, and I'm not gonna lie, it took a pretty long time to get her approval. But in the end, she said yes and gave us a spare house key.

Once I got there, Hinano-chan and Yada-chan were already there.

"Hey guys!" I said.

"Hey, there you are! Well, let's go." Hinano-chan said.

Yada-chan said, "Be sure not to make a mess... Nagisa's mom trusts us enough to give us her house key while she's out..."

"Yep!"

I unlocked the house, and we entered.

I immediately brought out the banner, and continued working on it.

"Hey!" It was Sugino-kun, Maehara-kun, and Isogai-kun.

"We got the cake!"

Kataoka-san pointed to the fridge, "Put it in the fridge, we have permission to use it."

Soon the class started to gather. Everyone was assigned for different things. To make it not obvious that we were here, we all hid our shoes.

"Wha- Terasaka! That's not how you spell "Happy Birthday"!!"

"H-huh!? It's not!?"

"Hey, don't waste the icing! That's super high quality!!"

"J-just scribble it and ice it the right way!"

I smiled at them.

"I-I'm out of breath..."

"Huh? We have helium right here!"

"W-what!? Why didn't you say so earlier!?"

I looked at the time, 04:26 PM. When is she coming back?

Nagisa's POV

"Phew..."

I sat with a satisfied look on my face. That was delicious! I looked at the time, 05:08.

Wow, I spent all that time eating cakes?

I got up and payed for the cakes. Goodbye lunch money...

I started walking home, and looked up to the sky. The sun was setting, showing beautiful mixtures of yellow and orange.

Seeing my front door, I took out my key and unlocked it... To find it was already unlocked.

"Mom sure is early..."

I entered, "I'm ho-"

"BANG!! BANG!!"

I looked up to see the whole class, all gathered up, "Happy birthday, Nagisa!!"

I was shocked, but soon smiled widely, "Everyone!!"

"Man, I thought we wouldn't make it!" Kimura-kun said.

My house was filled with balloons and decorations, complete with a banner that said "Happy Birthday".

"Never mind that," Kaede and Rio-chan brought a cake in front of me, "Blow the candles!!"

My eyes sparkled as I looked at the cake. It was a chocolate cake, with the words "Happy Birthday Nagisa!!" iced on top. I noticed the words "Happee Burthday" scribbled beside it. I giggled and blew the candles.

Everyone cheered, "Yaay!" "Whoo!!"

"Let's eat now!"

"Hey! That's not what you're supposed to say!!"

Everyone laughed and started cutting the cake and distributing it. It was really delicious!

I then got a lot of presents, I got a teddy bear from Rio-chan, a bracelet from Kaede, a Koro-sensei baseball from Sugino-kun, and many more!

We also played a lot of fun games, and played a few games in the Wii I had.

But, the fun had to end, as everyone soon left because it was getting late. I said thank you to each and every one of them as they left. Soon it was only Karma-kun left.

"Thanks a lot, Karma-kun!" I smiled at him.

He walked towards me, "Yeah. You seemed to be enjoying yourself."

"Yeah! It was really fun."

"Here." He gave me a bag.

I looked into it, and saw a box in it. I took it and opened it, revealing a beautiful necklace. It was a cute key with a blue jewel on top decorated with other sparkly jewels around it.

I smiled, "Wow... Thank you, Karma-kun! I love it!!"

"Yup. I thought it suited you, so I bought it~"

I took the necklace, "I'll treasure it."

He smiled at me.

I said, "Hey, when's your birthday, Karma-kun?"

"Huh? December 25th..."

"Hmm... Doesn't that make me older than you?"

"I-I guess..."

I decided to tease him a little by poking his cheek and saying "Little Karma-kun~ Little Karma-kun~" over and over.

He blushed, but then smiled. He softly kissed me on the lips, holding my waist. I blushed, but kissed back.

We soon pulled away, with Karma-kun grinning.

"Happy birthday, Nagisa."

I hugged him, "Thanks, Karma-kun!"
