The scene starts with the cry of a newborn baby and a woman's teary eye.

"Ohh-"

Minato wipes his eye, "I'm a father today!"

"Is this the day of the nine tails attack?"
"Yes. It must be."

"He's a healthy baby." Biwako lovingly comments as she brings baby Naruto closer to Kushina's bed.

"Biwako-" Hiruzen whispers to himself as feeling a pang in his heart at the sight.

When Minato tried to take Naruto from her, she scolded him, "Don't touch him! The mother sees him first."

"Is that a tradition or something?" Ayako questioned

"I guess.. It is probably more of a sentimental thing. The mother did push the baby out."

Minato approaches Kushina, "How are you feeling?"

"Okay."

He folds up his sleeves, "I know you've just gone through childbirth but I'm going to seal the nine-tails completely now."

"Seriously? No rest?!"

"If he didn't do it as fast as he could, then the nine tails might have the chance to escape."

A sudden scream alerts them both as they turn to see Biwaka and her companion down on the ground.

'So, this is what happened."

A man with a black hooded cloak and a mask holds baby Naruto in his arms, "Fourth Hokage Minato, get away from the Jinchuriki. Otherwise, this child's life will end in one minute."

"This must be the man that was mentioned― the masked man."

Kushina moans in pain as her seal starts weakening.

"Get away from the Jinchuriki." the man warns him again, brining a kunai to the baby's face. "Don't you care what happens to your kid?"

"Holy-"

"To a baby!?"

The man throws the baby in the air and jumps as if planning to kill the baby. But, Minato saves Naruto and brings him back to the ground in a flash.

"That was very cool." Ayako applauded.

"The yellow flash." Shisui stated

"Well, I've gotta hand it to the yellow flash. But how will you handle this one?" the man challenges revealing that the clothes the baby was wrapped in had paper bombs stuck to it.

In the blink of an eye, he unwrapped him and threw the clothe away as he teleported outside of the hut they were staying in.

"Thank goodness, Naruto isn't hurt."

"His target is Kushina. And he managed in separating us." he said as he teleported before the piece of wood he threw could hit the ground.

"That was a quick analysis."

"And a correct one too."

The next scene showed Kushina trapped and chained in a place where the ground was filled with water and huge rocks were present.

"Where is this?"

"I.. honestly don't recognize it." Inoichi said.

"What do you want?" she asked the man in front of her.

"I'm going to pull the nine-tails out from you and destroy the Hidden Leaf." he responded.

"What?"

"That's absurd!"

"Minato can teleport easily to places he marked. He made sure to mark your sealing formula with it too in order to protect you. However, I have managed to put a distance between you. Furthermore, the nine-tails seal has been weakened from childbirth. Do you know how long I've waited for this moment?"

"How long must it have been since this plan was made?"

"What would have led them to come up with such a thing anyway?"

Minato lays Naruto down in a bed, "You'll be save here. Naruto, just wait awhile. I have to go and save your mother."

The younger Naruto gripped onto the hem of his shirt tightly.

The scene changes to Kushina in absolute pain as the nine-tails starts to make his way out of the seal.

"Now then, come out nine-tails!" the man with the mask commands as his one eyed sharingan was shown.

"The sharingan!"

" What happened to Obito.."

Kushina's body dropped dead as the nine-tails roared outside of her body.

"Good. Now I'll go straight to the Hidden Leaf."

"Wait-" Kushina weakly calls out.

"She still had strength even after that.." someone commented out loud amazed.

The man comments without even sparing her a glance, "Uzumaki shinobi truly are amazing. You don't die right away after the tailed beast is extracted."

"You were the jinchuriki of the nine-tails." he turns around, "And I'll use him to kill you."

Right before the nine-tails could crush her, Minato appeared in a flash swooping her out of the place.

The man in the mask watched them, "I must say, you're as quick as your nickname. But you are too late."

"Minato... Is Naruto.. Is he safe?" Kushina asked weakly.

"Yes, he's fine." he assured her. "He's in a safe space for now."

"Minato, you must stop that man and the nine tails right now. He's heading for Hidden Leaf village."

As soon as she finished, the two disappeared.

"He flew off again." the mask man commented with a slight chuckle, "Well, never mind. We're heading for the Hidden Leaf village."

"He flew off again.." Ayako snorted out loud, ignoring the weird glances thrown her way.

Minato lays Kushina near their sleeping newborn son and she hugs him tight with tears in her eyes.

"Minato.." The screen shows him wearing his cape. With '4th Hokage' proudly written on the back of his cape, he prepares for the battle to come. "Thank you."

"I feel like an intruder..."

"I'll be right back."

"Summoning Jutsu!" the mask man said as a blast boomed in the village disturbing the lives of the people of the village.

"Gamabunta!"

"What was that?" and "What happened?" echoed around.

"That's..!"

The bloodshot red eyes of the ninetails came into view clouded in smoke as it roared.

"Holy-"

"This is scary." Choji mumbled.

"The sight isn't very welcoming."

The scene changed to an anbu alerting the Third Hokage, "Lord Third, the nine tails has suddenly appeared in the village!"

The screen shows the 3rd hokage already dressed for battle.
"I'm aware of that. I will suppress it." he turned to the anbu, "You and the others protect the civilians!"

"That's fast.." Ayako commented.

"Well.. as a ninja, you need to quicken up. If you spend too much time getting ready, someone might already be gone."

In another scene, MIght Guy and Kakashi are shown.

"Damn you, nine tails. This is the moment I release my pent-up power." He gets into position, "Come on! I'll be your opponent!"

"Such amount of bravery."

"Or.. stupidity."

He was halted in his pose when a ninja appeared in front of them, "Stop! I want the both of you to report to the guardroom."

"Why?"

"It's the third Hokage's orders."

The Ino-Shika-Cho trio with Inoichi, Shikaku and Choja were shown evacuating civilians as they cleared off rubbles.

All the attacks the ninjas had proved to be meaningless against the nine tails.

As the fire spread around and the danger of the nine tails increased, Minato appeared.

"You've finally taken notice of me." he said as the nine tails tried to attack him.

"So cool." a few thought as they watched their Fourth Hokage.

"You won't get your way here!" he said as the nine tails sent a chakra bomb his way which he amazingly.. managed to transport.

Feeling a hand near his shoulders, Minato turn around with his kunai but.. surprisingly his attack went through his body.

"What was that?" Looks kind of like the other one clip."

His hand was caught, "I'm your opponent.. and it's all over."

But Minato managed to escape, "He flew away.. He's fast."

"He flew away again.." A few others were finding it amusing as well.. at this point.

"I won't let you get away." the masked man said as he stood opposite Minato.

"Are you Uchiha Madara?" Minato questioned him.

"No, he is not."

The man took off his hood.

And Minata backtracked, "No, that's impossible. He's dead."

The man tilted his head, "I wonder about that."

"Nah.. he's dead.. I think?"

"At this point, it doesn't matter who you are. But why are you targeting the Hidden Leaf?" Minato asked

"I could say I did it on a whim, or that I planned it, or that it's war, or that it's for peace."

"He genuinely believes it's for peace?" Ino comments flabbergasted.

"He's just taken the wrong road."

"Killing the fourth hokage doesn't seem like just a wrong turn."

"The fourth was killed by the nine-tails, not him." Ayako defended.

"Which is being controlled by him. In the end, it's all connected."

The man brought out chains and faced off Minato.

"My physical attacks have no effect on him. Namely, I can only aim for him when we both strike blows! But his risk lies during the moment of attack." Minato concluded.

Sending a kunai through his head, he teleported behind him right at the moment the man materialized himself and managed to hit him with a rasengan.

"The justsu!" Naruto pointed out.

"Yes. It was created by the Fourth."

"You got me." the man regains his strength, "I should never let my guard down-"

A hand landed on his chest as Minato teleported right in front of him.

"A contract seal?" The man looked at him, "He intends to separate the nine tails from me?"

"With this, the nine tails no longer belongs to you." Minato said as the swirling red in the nine tails eyes turned back to its normal red with a slit in the middle.

"What just happened?"

"Did he just stop the control.."

"He used a contract seal. apparently."

The nine-tail wreaked havoc upon the whole village, destroying families and filling the whole place with splashes of blood.

A few kids covered their eyes but with enough space between the fingers that they could still see.

In the training ground where the young ninjas were assembled, they were given an order "You young ninjas must stay away from the nine-tails."

"What do you mean by that?"

"This isn't a battle between villages. This is domestic trouble. There is no reason for you all to risk your lives."

"But wouldn't more people be better? And maybe.. even more effective?"

"Not necessarily. The nine-tails was an enemy that could not be defeated by quantity. It requires knowledge on how to face against it. And young ninjas without much experience and even less experienced with the other things that surround such stuff would only be a nuisance for those who do know what to do."

A huge appeared in the middle of the battlefield with Minato standing atop.

"To transport something this big, I will need as much chakra." Minato said as the nine-tails was about to send another chakra bomb.

"Transport?"

The nine tails along with Minato disappeared in a flash.

Suddenly the Third Hokage said "Minato, did he transport the nine tails with him.?"

He saw a huge light towards the deeper parts of the forest, far away from the village, "That way!"

"He transported that huge thing all the way to the other side?!"

The scene changed to show Minato with Kushina, the both of them bloody and tired.

"I must put up a barrier immediately."

"I can still do it, Minato." And with those words, chains flew off from Kushina's back trapping and effectively binding the nine tails.

"What was that?"

"Kushina.." Minato whispered as he saw her state. "It's because of you that I'm the Hokage."

"I'm happy that you loved me." she cut him off, "If i were to imagine our lives together, I can't see us as anything but a happy family. And.. if I were to have one regret, it's that I won't be able to see Naruto grow up."

A tear slipped down an eye.

"Kushina, there is no need for you to die with the nine tails." he wiped a tear, "preserve whatever chakra you have left.. for a reunion with Naruto. I'll seal all your remaining chakra inside Naruto. It'll be part of an eight signed seal. Then I'll take the nine tails with me with the only sealing jutsu that I can use since I'm not a jinchuriki. The Reaper Death Seal!"

"Is this how the Fourth and his wife were able to speak with Naruto in the future?"

"Yes, I believe so." Jiraiya answered.

"But the caster that uses that jutsu....!"

"And one more thing, I will only seal half of the nine tails. Sealing a power this immense is physically impossible. And it's strategically unwise. If you take the nine tails and its seal with you when you die then there won't be a jinchuriki around when he reemerges. This will upset the balance of power between the tailed beasts."

"Why should that even be the first concern?"

"He is the Hokage, you know.."

Kushina felt out of breath as Minato continued to prioritize the village, "The Reaper Death Seal will seal half of the nine tails with me forever. And as for the other half.."

"Perhaps you are the child of Prophecy." Jiraiya told him in his living room.

"What's that?"

"Ah- what is that?" he asked confused.

"Sometime in the future, the shinobi world will face a grave crisis." A picture of the baby is shown.

"A grave crisis." Glances were thrown Jiraiya's way but he made no move indicating that he would not be talking on the subject.

"The hero who will emerge during this time is the Child of Prophecy."

".. I will seal it inside Naruto with the eight signed seal!" her breath hitched, "I know what you want to say.." Minato said, "But remember what Master Jiraiya said about world upheaval. Well, two things were confirmed for me today. That masked man who attacked you yesterday is a harbinger of disaster! And the one who will stop him is this child!"

"Me?" Naruto asked to no one in particular.

"Yes, you-"

"I mean.. it really isn't that surprising since in most of the clips, you are always there."

Pictures of Naruto as a young bay were shown, "This infant whose godfather is Master Jiraiya. Hw will open up the future as a jinchuriki." A smiling 16 year old Naruto sent a thumbs up towards the screen. "I don't know why, but I'm convinced of this."

"I guess we'll have to keep an eye on you, Naruto" Shisui teased.

"Let's put our trust in this child!" Minato exclaimed with determination as he used the Reaper Death seal, "He's our son, after all!"

"When I'm done with the reaper death seal, I will seal your chakra inside Naruto. When he tries to control the nine tail's power as a jinchuriki. I want you to help him out."

"Our son.." she closed her eyes shut as tears seeped, "He's our son! And.. that's why I do not want to put such a terrible burden on him!"

Naruto's breath hitched when he heard that.

"Also, I don't know why you have to do the reaper death seal. If it is just for a short while... You could have protected him and watch him grow! I just don't get it.." she stared at him, "For the balance of the tailed beasts? For the sake of the nation and the village? Why must Naruto be sacrificed?!" she screamed her heart out, "Why must you sacrifice yourself for me?!"

"I feel so bad her." Ino wiped her tears.

"To forsake one's village and nation is the same as forsaking one's child. Your own homeland was destroyed, so you of all people should know the harsh life that awaits those without a country. Besides our family is... Shinobi!"

"I don't particularly like the first half."

"What's wrong with the first half?"

"You don't see anything wrong?"

"No.. am I supposed to?"

"No, not really. Don't worry!

"And finally, even if I were to live, I'm no match to you. And even if it's not much time, there are a few things that only you as his mother can tell him. Things that I can't. That's the role of a mother. I am not doing this just for you. I'm doing this for Naruto."

"So, why isn't she here then?" Naruto's voice was barely heard.

"It's wishful thinking to hope that a jinchuriki survives long."

He held him in his arms, "I will gladly die for him. It's my duty as his father."

"SEAL!" his voice rang out as he lost a huge chunk of chakra at the same time, feeling weak.

The nine tails narrowed his eyes when Minato got closer to the baby Naruto.
"Is he planning to seal me again? Furthermore, inside a baby...." it thought.

"At least, it seems they got over this problem in the future."

In a quick movement, the nine tails tried to attack the baby with his claws and long nails.

"What on-"

With the splash of blood and a hand holding onto what seemed to be the nail of the nine tails, Kushina and Minato were shown to be pierced by it.. protecting the target, their son.

Sharp intake of breaths could be heard.

So, this was the day of the Nine-Tails Attack. So, this was how the Fourth truly died.

To protect his son.

"I said it was my duty as a father." Minata said with blood dripping down his mouth.

"I see.. this is the first time I've lost an argument." Kushina smiled softly signaling him that he could do as he pleased.

"Thank you, Kushina." Minata said as he bit his nail and summoned Geratora.

"Ahh! Nine tails- And the fourth? What's the meaning of this.." he exclaimed in surprise.

"A frog again?"

"Yes."

"It comes with the whole Summoning thing, I'll tell you all about it later, if you any of you wish to know." Jiraiya said

"Geratora, I'm giving you the Sealing Formula's key. Take it immediately to Master Jiraiya and store it away." Minato ordered.

Jiraiya slowly blinked at the sound of his name.

The realization that Minato trusted him more than he could ever imagine was making him feel rather melancholic.

"I'm going to start the eight pronged seal now. I want to put some of my chakra in him too." he looked at the baby, "It seems it'll be quite a while before we see him."

"Let's tell him what we want to say." he said.

"Naruto.." Kushina started, "Don't be picky. Eat lots and grow strong."

"Well, that wasn't followed." Ayako chuckled, trying to lift the mood.

"Make sure you bath everyday and stay warm. Also don't stay up late. You need lots of sleep."

"You seem to not do what others tell you to quite a bit, don't you think?" Ayako teased the blonde who had tears brimming in his eyes.

"And make friends. you don't need a lot of friends. Just a few... Ones you can really, really trust. I wasn't very good at it, but keep up with your studies and practice your ninjutsu hard. Remember that everyone has strengths and weaknesses. So don't get too depressed if you can't do something well. Respect your teachers and upperclassmen at the Academy. Oh, and this is important. It's about the three prohibitions of a shinobi."

"I've never heard of this one."

"What are Three Prohibitions anyway?"

"I'm assuming she is going to tell him."

"Be careful about lending and borrowing money. Put your mission wages into your savings account. No alcohol until you're twenty. Too much can ruin your health, so drink in moderation. Another prohibition is women. I'm a woman, so I don't know too much about this but... All you need to remember is.. this world is made up of men and women. So it's only natural to take an interest in girls. But just don't get hooked on bad women. Find someone just like me. Speaking of the three prohibitions, be wary of Jiraiya sensei, you know.."

"Why me?!" Jiraiya was offended.

"You've got the reputation."

"Naruto, from now on, you're going to face pain and hardship. Be true to yourself. Have a dream and the confidence to make the dream come true! There's so much- so much more I want to pass on to you. I wish I could stay with you longer. I love you." she cried her eyes out as her voice trembled, "Minato, I'm sorry I used up your time."

By now, Naruto was hiccuping as he tried to wipe his tears with his sleeves.

"It's no problem." he shook his head, "Naruto, what I want to say to you is.. I guess it's the same as your nagging mother's."

"Eight signed seal." Minato closed his eyes and the screen turned dark.

"Let's finish it for now. Ayako, could you..?"

"Yes, Hokage-sama." Ayako turned towards Naruto, "Naruto?" she called as she led the boy outside with the others following.

"Be back when you're done." The Hokage ordered as he sat back down in his seat.
This whole thing was going to lead him to an early grave.
