Chapter Thirty-Six: Hospital

Liam's Pov

Beep...

Beep...

That's the first thing I heard when I started regaining consciousness.

Out of all things I could hear first the first thing I heard was beeping.

And it was the type of beeping you would hear from the machines in a hospital.

Wait...

Hospital...

I'm in the hospital...?

Wait please don't tell me that means...

With as much energy as I could muster up, I opened my eyes only to hiss and quickly close them due to the light that was shining down on me.

I waited for a few minutes and when it finally felt safe I reopened my eyes.

I had to blink a few times in order to get rid of the blurriness and regain my vision and it worked.

The first thing I saw was a ceiling.

A ceiling...

I picked my head up and scanned the area and saw myself in a room and I was lying on a bed wearing clothes you'd normal wear at the hospital.

I breathed out a sigh of relief when I realized that I was still here and not back home.

I might sound awful for saying this but I don't think I want to head back home.

I'm starting to get used to this world and being here has already made me attached.

Either way, I'm happy to still be alive.

And I'm happy to no longer be in the woods since I don't think Tankhun and I could handle...

Wait...

Oh shit...

TANKHUN!!

My entire body shot up from the bed and I began scanning the room, trying to ignore the headache that suddenly appeared.

"Where is he?!" I yelled to nobody.

Well, at least that's what I thought.

I guess I wasn't alone in my room thanks to the two groans that I heard from the people that were sitting by my bed.

I turned around and saw Porsche and Chay waking up thanks to my yelling.

They picked their heads up and blinked a few times and once their vision was clear and they saw me, awake, their eyes widened.

"LIAM!" my two brothers screamed out in relief.

I opened my mouth to say something but both my brothers immediately pulled me into their arms and hugged me tightly.

I grumbled under my breath but hugged them back, knowing that they were worried sick about me during the time that I was gone.

It reminds me of Jack when he refused to let me go because I returned home really late from picking up our pizza.

They pulled away and almost immediately began to pester me with questions.

"How are you feeling? Are you alright?"

"Does anything hurt? Do I need to get the doctor?"

"Are you hungry? Are you thirsty? Do you want me to get you anything?"

"I swear to god you're giving me grey hairs for always getting yourself into dangerous situations!"

That last one came from Porsche.

Along with a slap to the head.

I winced and rubbed the spot he had hit me while Chay yelled "hia!" and smacked his shoulder.

"Thanks for that, Porsche. And I'm fine, no I'm not hungry or thirsty at the moment but thank you for asking" I told them.

Porsche rolled his eyes before bringing me into another hug.

Chay smiled before joining in on the hug.

I sighed before giving in and hugging them back, tightly, with a soft smile plastered on my face.

"You scared the shit out of us, nong" Porsche muttered as he held me close.

"That you did" Chay nodded, holding me just as close.

I chuckled softly before holding them close while patting both of their heads.

I feel bad that I worried them but what's important is that I'm safe and I'm alive.

The same should be said for...

Oh shit...

My eyes widened as realization washed over me and I quickly, but gently, pushed my brothers away from me.

"Where is he? Where's Tankhun?" I hurriedly asked.

As happy as I am that I'm fine, I need to know if the same can be said for Tankhun.

I need to know that he's alright and 100% alive.

"Tankhun" Porsche frowned.

Chay frowned himself and opened his mouth to say something when I quickly removed the bed cover from my body.

I jumped out of bed and rushed over to the door in order to leave so I could find Tankhun.

I ignored the yells from my brothers, wanting me to come back, and rushed out of the room as fast as I could.

When I made it into the hallway the bodyguards that were stationed outside of my room jumped in surprise and turned to me with wide eyes.

It took me a second to realize that the bodyguards were Pravat and Pete.

"Liam!" the two of them yelled.

My head snapped in their direction and I rushed over to them.

"Where is he? Where's Tankhun? Is he alright?" I hurriedly asked.

Their eyes widened slightly at that, my guess is that they probably weren't expecting that.

They were taking their time to tell me anything that I grew impatient and stormed off, deciding to get answers from someone else.

I could hear the two of them yelling at me to come back, along with my brothers after they came out of the room, but I ignored them.

As I was walking I spotted more bodyguards stationed outside of another room.

That has to be Tankhun's room.

I picked up the pace, in case the others were behind me and tried to get me back to my room, and before I knew it I was close.

And the bodyguards that were stationed outside were Pol, Arm, Big and Ken.

Pol was the first one to spot me and because of that I rushed over to him and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt.

"Where's Tankhun? Is he in there? Is he alright?" I hurriedly asked.

Pol's eyes were wide, clearly startled, and he tried to say something but nothing came out of his mouth.

I removed my hands from the collar of his shirt and pushed past the others as my hand made contact with the door knob.

"Wait, Liam!" someone yelled, probably Arm.

I ignored whoever it was and quickly opened the door and rushed inside.

I stopped in my tracks at the sight in front of me.

There he was.

Tankhun.

Lying on a hospital bed, wearing the same thing I was, still asleep.

I was worried that he didn't make a full recovery, maybe he was still unconscious or something.

But when I saw his chest heaving up and down, I found myself relaxing.

"He's alright. He's alright" I muttered under my breath.

I don't know what I would do if he hadn't made it.

I don't know if I could ever forgive myself for not being able to protect him.

I looked at the scene in front of me, again, and realized that Tankhun wasn't alone.

There were two figures that were resting by his sides.

One of them was Kinn, who was at Tankhun's right side, with his head resting on his brothers lap as small snores were heard from him.

And the other one was none other than Kim.

He was at Tankhun's left side. He was sleeping on the chair he was sitting on but I saw his hand holding the left hand of his older brother.

When did he get here?

Did he join the others when he learned that Tankhun had been taken?

Kim might not want to show it to others, but he does care about his brothers.

I jumped when I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around and saw Pravat standing by my side.

The others were by the door, making sure to stay quiet so they didn't wake the brothers.

"Is he alright?" I quietly asked.

I had to be 100% sure.

Pravat sighed softly but nodded, "he's alright. He was lucky to have been shot once and the doctors were able to remove the bullet when you two arrived".

I sighed in relief at that and nodded.

If I hadn't thrown Tankhun and I to the ground, the fucker would've shot us and Tankhun could've been more hurt.

"So, he's going to be fine?" I softly asked.

"Yes, he got out of surgery an hour ago and right now he just needs rest. He won't wake up for another few hours" Pravat explained.

I sighed in relief. Thank god.

I turned back to stare at the sight in front of me and a faint smile appeared on my face.

I've never seen the brothers like this.

The only scene we saw the three of them together was when Korn 'died' and Kim comforted Tankhun as he cried. Kinn did too but he left the room to be alone in order to process everything.

This is probably the first time I've seen them this way and it warms my heart.

Footsteps were heard and I felt another person at my side.

They placed their hand on my other shoulder and I turned to face them.

It was Porsche.

"Are you alright, nong?" my brother softly asked.

I stared at him for a few seconds before redirecting my attention over to the three Theerapanyakun brothers.

They looked so peaceful when they're together.

This is probably the first time they're like this with each other, especially since two of them were in fear of losing their older brother.

A soft smile appeared on my face and I nodded my head.

"Yeah. I'm alright" I told Porsche.

And I meant that.
