Chapter Six: First Day Goes Well

Liam's Pov

I have to admit that working as a stripper wasn't what I thought was going to be my new job.

I hate myself for being such a dumbass and not realizing that would be my job. Needing a dancer at a club is basically saying 'stripper' but I was too oblivious.

God, if Jack was here, no doubt he would've smacked me upside the head for being clueless.

Although, I will admit, I'm not afraid about being a stripper.

Believe it or not, my mom and Jack's mom used to be strippers themselves.

They struggled for a while and the only job they found that didn't require experience was strippers.

They were desperate for a job and, although they weren't fond of it, they accepted the job and made good money.

Actually, that's how mom met dad and how Mrs. Baker met Mr. Baker.

Apparently, dad and Mr. Baker had a day off and decided to head to the club and that's how they met their future wives.

Dad and Mr. Baker offered to help them find better jobs and, although they weren't ready to quit being strippers, they accepted.

Mom and Mrs. Baker actually started liking their jobs as strippers, mainly the dancing, but they knew that they would have to leave it eventually.

When we were thirteen years old, Jack and I always wanted to dance the way our mom's did.

We begged them to teach us some of their old moves, we desperately wanted to learn.

They were hesitant at first, which is understandable, but they gave in at the end.

Luckily, mom and Mrs. Baker were good friends with their old boss since he wasn't a creep and he respected them as my mom and Mrs. Baker respected him.

So, he would close the place just for us.

That way Jack and I could learn without any distractions.

Mom and Mrs. Baker taught us everything we needed to know and it was incredibly fun.

Even after my parents died Mrs. Baker continued teaching Jack and I until we were eighteen.

So, I'm excited for this job, it'll be fun.

Not including the clothes, I already know they're going to be revealing, but the dancing part is going to be fun.

However, I'm excited to meet my new workers.

I've already met Emma, but I'll be meeting the rest.

From what Emma has told me they're sweet, friendly, welcoming, sassy, sarcastic and have so much confidence.

Not to mention my new boss, Mr. Anurak, is a really chill guy.

Yes, he's still serious about work, but overall he's a chill guy.

He's literally the type of boss that everyone would want to have.

Although, there's two downsides of having this job.

The first one being I have to keep it a secret.

I hate lying to Porsche and Chay, but I don't want them to know what my second job is, especially Porsche.

He's so overprotective of not just Chay, but me too.

If he found out about my job here, no doubt he'd make me quit before I could even tell him how higher the payment is.

Which is why I had no choice but to lie to him and say I got a job working as a cleaner at an office.

I hate lying but I'm happy he bought it.

The second downside being that I'll be working late at nights, but I don't know on what days.

Mr. Anurak says that they aren't open in the morning because they all get together to make sure the place is clean and ready.

When nighttime reaches, that's when the place gets busy, so many people flood the place.

Mr. Anurak called me in the morning and told me he needs me there.

So, after I'm done bartending, I go straight to my other job.

Porsche and I were wrapping up since the bar was going to be closing soon.

Unfortunately, Porsche gets to go home and be with Chay, while I have to head to my other job.

"Are you sure you're going to be fine going alone?" Porsche asked.

"Yes, I am" I nodded.

"I can drive you there. I really don't mind" Porsche said.

"Porsche, I said I'm fine. Please stop insisting" I rolled my eyes.

Porsche looked at me with a stern gaze, causing me to internally groan.

"You know I don't like you driving your bike this late at night. And from what you've told me, your second job is far from here" Porsche said.

I actually managed to get myself a bike similar to Porsche's.

Except mine is blue while his is red.

"I understand, but I promise I'll be careful. And I'm an adult, I can go alone" I sighed.

"Are you sure?" Porsche asked.

"Positive" I nodded.

"Alright, but you text me once you've arrived and text me when you're coming home. If anything happens just call me and I'll pick you up" Porsche sternly said.

"Yes, mom" I mock saluted him.

"Liam" Porsche groaned.

I rolled my eyes and continued what I was doing, wanting to hurry up so I could get going.

The sooner I get this done, the sooner I can leave.

At The Club

After the bar closed I said goodbye to Porsche before getting on my bike and driving away to head to my job.

When I got there I parked my bike nearby and went inside.

Holy shit, this place is already packed.

Music was blaring, so many people were dancing either with their lovers or friends or filling the bar to get drinks.

Wow, Mr. Anurak was right when he said this place gets packed at night.

"Liam!" I heard Emma yell out to me.

I turned around and saw Emma walking towards me, already wearing her bartender uniform.

"Hi, Emma" I politely wai'd her.

"I'm so glad you were able to make it. We need four dancers for tonight, not just three" Emma said.

"Hey, I applied for this job for a reason, I'm not going to slack off" I sternly said.

"That's what I like to hear. Now, come, let me introduce you to the other bartenders" Emma smiled.

I smiled and nodded as I let her led the way.

We made it to the bar where I saw three young men wearing their bartender uniform.

"Hey, fellas" Emma grinned.

"Hey, Emma" the three men grinned at her in unison.

"I'd love for you fellas to meet Liam Kittisawat. The guy I was telling you all about" Emma smiled.

"Hello, it's very nice to meet you" I politely wai'd to all three of them.

The three of them stared at me for a few seconds before smiles appeared on all their faces.

"You were right, Emma. He is cute" the first man winked at me.

"And hot. I can already tell he's going to do just well" the second man added.

I blushed and tried to hide my face, causing Emma to chuckle softly.

"Shut up, idiots. You're making the poor boy uncomfortable" the third man glared at them.

He smacked them upside their heads, causing them to wince in pain, while Emma and I watched in amusement.

He shook his head before his eyes softened as he turned to look at me.

"Hello, my name is Arak. It's nice to meet you" Arak smiled.

"It's nice to meet you, Arak" I smiled, nodding my head.

"I'm Ram. This is Dan" Ram introduced himself and then Dan.

Dan smiled at me and nodded and I returned the gesture.

"Well, you've met them, now it's time to meet the others. Aka, the other dancers" Emma grinned.

I nodded and waved goodbye to the three men and they did the same.

I let Emma led me to the other side of the club, where the strippers will be dancing.

When we got to that side the tables were already filled. Not only were there men, but women too, a good amount.

Emma waved politely at the guests before gesturing for me to follow her backstage.

I did just that and now we were backstage where all the dancers are getting ready for when they have to go on.

She opened the door and we walked in and that's when I spotted three people.

Two women and one man.

The two women were sitting at their assigned seats, looking at themselves in their mirrors while putting on makeup.

The man seemed to have everything ready, he was just fixing up his hair.

Emma made our presence known by loudly clearing her throat, causing the three of them to look at us.

She wrapped her arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer to her side.

"Guys, I'd love for you to meet Liam Kittisawat, aka the new dancer" Emma smiled.

I smiled and waved politely at them, feeling a little nervous.

Especially when all three of them stopped what they were doing and were now staring at me.

However, I allowed myself to relax when polite and welcoming smiles appeared on all their faces.

One of the women stood up and walked towards me, extending her hand.

"Hi, I'm Sarla. It's very nice to meet you" the woman, Sarla, introduced herself.

"It's very nice to meet you, Sarla" I smiled, shaking her hand.

The other woman stood up and walked towards us, she stood next to Sarla and wrapped her arm around her waist.

Sarla blushed at the action as she removed her hand from mine.

"Hey, the name is Sami" Sami casually said.

"Very nice to meet you" I nodded.

Sami nodded back while rubbing Sarla's waist gently, causing said girl to shiver and blush.

Oh, yeah. Something is definitely going on between those two.

I let out an 'oof' when I was pulled away from Emma and now being hugged by someone else.

The hug ended and I was face to face with the other male in this room.

"I'm Champ. And can I just say that I'm so relieved to no longer be the only male stripper here" Champ grinned.

I chuckled in amusement at that and shook my head.

"It's very nice to meet you, Champ. I hope we can all get along and be friends" I grinned.

"Oh, trust me, we already are friends" Sami smirked.

"Best friends" Sarla piped in, grinning happily.

This caused all of us to laugh softly as I nodded in agreement.

It would be nice to have more than one best friend.

But, let it be known that Jack will forever be my #1 best friend, he'll always be my #1 platonic soulmate.

Just because I'm in the world of my favorite series doesn't mean I'm going to automatically forget Jack and replace him.

He's my best friend, my brother in all but blood and my platonic soulmate.

He's my #1. Always.

"Enough chit chat, I need you three to help Liam get changed and do his makeup. And teach him the dance moves you have been practicing. You guys are on in ten minutes" Emma explained.

"You got it" Champ grinned.

She nodded before patting me on the back.

"Good luck, Liam" Emma smiled.

She left the room, leaving me alone with the three dancers.

I yelped in surprise when Sami and Sarla grabbed my arms and dragged me over to one of the seats.

"We have to get you dressed and ready. Sami will do your makeup while I get your clothes" Sarla said.

I nodded and watched as she patted Sami on the cheek before rushing off.

Sami grabbed the makeup bag before she started applying a few things to my face.

"So, Liam, are you nervous?" Sami asked.

"I won't lie, I am a little nervous" I chuckled awkwardly.

"Don't worry, you'll love it. Just let loose and have fun" Sami smiled.

"Is that what you guys do before getting on stage?" I asked.

"Yes we do and trust me when I say that it helps. All your nerves go away" Champ smiled.

"But, do you guys have to do anything with the customers? Like do they pay to have alone time with you?" I nervously asked.

The last thing I wanted was to be near some customer just so they can have...fun with me.

That thought alone makes me shiver in disgust and fear.

Sami must've noticed my expression change and offered me a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry, Liam. Mr. Anurak never lets any customer near us. It's his #1 rule" Sami smiled.

"Mr. Anurak would never admit this out loud, but he loves us as if we were his own kids, he's protective of us" Champ chuckled.

"Speaking of Mr. Anurak, is he married? Does he have kids or something?" I asked.

He seems like the type of person to be married and have kids.

Or at the very least just married if he doesn't fancy having kids.

I'm going for the second option because I did see one picture frame of him and some other man around his age. They were smiling at each other, the love was definitely visible in both their eyes.

"Kids, no, but he is happily married to his husband" Sami smiled.

"His husband is Chayaphon Chidchob Anurak, he owns a few restaurants" Champ added.

We heard footsteps and I saw Sarla walking back in, holding clothes in her hands.

"Mr. Anurak never told us how him and his husband met, but he did tell us that it's a beautiful love story" Sarla smiled.

"Does his husband come here alot?" I asked.

"Sometimes, but he's always visiting his grandparents that live in Paris" Sami said.

"Just his grandparents?" I asked, confused.

"His parents died when he was a baby so his grandparents have raised him ever since. He loves them and is grateful for everything they've done for him" Champ explained.

"It's why he's always visiting them, he doesn't want them to think he's forgotten them" Sami added.

I hummed at that and nodded, letting a soft smile appear on my face.

"Alright, your makeup is done" Sami grinned.

"Now come on, get changed so we can teach you the dance" Sarla said.

I nodded and got up and took the clothes from Sarla so I could get changed.

Ten Minutes Later

I got changed into a plain leather white crop top, black leather shorts and black boots.

Now, I was a little uncomfortable, given how short the shorts were. But the others reassured me that I'll be fine and I can change after the show is over.

They taught me the dance moves with the little time we had.

I had to admit that the moves weren't too hard.

However, the only hard part would be when I have to get on the pole and spin myself around at the end.

Mom had to teach me that part more than five times because of how many times I lost my balance and fell.

I still don't think I can do it, but I'm going to have to.

I have to do well on my first day. Otherwise, it might also be my last.

Emma told us we had two minutes before we had to get on stage.

Right now we were waiting behind the curtains.

Emma would come by and tell us when we had to get on.

Champ was warming himself up while Sarla was patting her cheeks lightly, trying to get rid of any nerves she had.

My arms were crossed over my chest, my nerves had returned and I was trying to drown them out.

Although, it wasn't really helping.

Sami must've noticed and she brought me into a comforting side hug.

"Don't worry, Liam. You'll be fine" Sami reassured me.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Positive" Sami nodded.

"Yeah, dude. Just remember, let loose and have fun" Sarla grinned.

"You might be working but you're allowed to have fun" Champ added.

I let out a sigh before nodding my head, smiling faintly.

We heard footsteps and we turned around to see Emma standing a few feet away from us.

"Alright, guys! You're up!" Emma yelled.

"Thanks, Em" Sarla grinned.

"Good luck, guys. You too, Liam!" Emma yelled.

I nodded at her and watched as she left, most likely to head back to the bar to handle the customers.

Sami grabbed onto my hand, gave it a comforting squeeze, and nodded at me.

I took a few deep breaths before nodding.

Sarla and Champ went on stage and Sami followed, dragging me with her since we were still holding hands.

When we got on stage we saw that Sarla and Champ had already made their way to their respective poles.

Sami led me to my pole and that was the one next to hers.

"Remember, let loose and have fun"Sami whispered.

I nodded and watched as she winked at me before making her way towards her pole.

I looked at the audience and saw many women and men staring at us, waiting for the show to begin.

My eyes wandered over to the other side of the club, the bar area, and I saw Emma and the guys grinning at us while giving us thumbs up.

That made me relax and feel a bit better.

Soon, the music began playing and it was time for us to dance.

https://youtu.be/Cw1qnwbIEFY

I had to admit that while we were dancing to the best of our ability, being sexy too, it was lots of fun.

Although, I had to refrain myself from throwing up at all the wolf whistles that was being heard.

Not just from the men, but the women too.

As the four of us danced, money was being thrown our way, so were a few winks and smirks.

The others were obviously used to it as they just ignored it and focused on dancing.

I did my best to ignore it as well, although part of me wanted to flip some people off.

Mainly the ones that were staring at my body up and down.

Nearing the end of the song, Sarla, Sami and Champ all crouched down in front of their poles and did their own sexy poses.

As the song was slowly ending, I took a deep breath and held onto the pole tightly.

I spun myself around, making sure I was focused, keeping a tight grip on the pole as I did three more spins.

On the last spin, I crouched down and did my own sexy pose.

As soon as the music ended everyone shot up from their seats and began cheering and clapping.

The loud ones being Emma and the guys, they looked so happy and proud.

The four of us grinned at each other. We quickly collected the money that was on the ground before standing up.

We all bowed before getting off stage to head backstage.

Once we were back in the changing rooms we all let out cheers and claps.

"Hell yeah, we did it!" Sami yelled.

"Yeah we did!" Sarla yelled.

She ran towards Sami and hugged her tightly, causing said girl to squeal before hugging her back just as tightly.

I yelped in surprise when Champ picked me up, hugging me tightly as he spun me around.

I chuckled softly and hugged him back before he set me back down.

"See, Liam. We told you you would do well" Champ grinned.

"Yeah, you did so well, dude. You nailed it" Sarla added.

"I was so nervous when we got on stage, but I followed the advice you guys gave me and it worked" I laughed.

"See, we told you, just keep doing that from now on and you'll be fine" Sami smirked.

I chuckled and nodded in agreement.

The door flung open and we all turned around and saw Emma, Arak, Ram and Dan ran inside.

Ram hugged Sarla and Sami while Dan hugged Champ.

Emma and Arak ran towards me and brought me into a tight hug. I laughed before hugging them back.

When we pulled away Emma gently patted my cheek.

"Liam you were amazing out there. I knew you could do it" Emma grinned.

"Yeah, you were great and it was only your first day" Arak grinned.

"I guess I'm just a natural" I shrugged, winking at them.

Emma rolled her eyes while Arak shook his head in amusement.

I laughed when the others walked over to us and I was hugged by Ram and Dan.

"Alright, well you guys get changed and come to the bar, drinks are on the house" Emma grinned.

The four of us all cheered and whistled while the others chuckled and shook their heads.

When they left we put the money we collected away and went to go change so we could have some drinks.

Yeah, I'm so glad I picked this job.
