Trying not to freak when you look at me'

It was time for lunch.

Time to see her again.

Each step he took felt heavier than the next as he walked to the cafeteria, obviously blending with the shadows as he stared into blank space while thinking of scenarios that could happen-

"Seriously? Not again Tammy..."

Did he seriously bump into Linh again.

Wowwww.

'Would you seriously just stop thinking about S-"

"Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh," the shade shadow-whispered, "She could hear you!"

Linh rolled her eyes on cue, clearly annoyed at her brother.

"She

COM-

Oh wait hi Sophie!"

Tam whipped back, only to reveal that no one was there.

"Linhhhhhhhhhhhh," he groaned. 

After sticking out her tongue playfully at him, they went for lunch.

'Gotta make a move, but I freeze,

you don't have a clue what you do to me'

Finally making it to the cafeteria, Tam and Linh sat with Fitz and Sophie and started eating as casually as possible. Well, at least that's what Tam did...

"So....... Did you know about... Biana and Dex?" Sophie started awkwardly.

Fitz nodded uncomfortably. 

"Of course I didn't approve of it, Biana, a royal Vacker, with Dex? I mean, his parents are a bad match, everyone knows that. I can't let Biana ruin the family name-"

Sophie seemed to be taken aback at these words. "Fitz, what are you doing here? I thought it was just Tam, Linh and I!"

Despite You-know-what, Tam rolled his eyes at her. He'd literally been there the whole time, sitting right  next to her. Other than being oblivious, she had terrible eye sight...

"Tam? Sophie asked you a question?" Linh waved a hand over his face, and he realised he had been staring into blank space again. He realised that pair of chocolate brown eyes were staring at him again, and he turned a little pink. 

"OH HI! TOTALLY DIDN'T MEAN TO INTURRUPT!"

Somehow, Keefe had appeared and was, noticeably trying not to glare daggers at Tam, but obviously Sophie didn't notice it. Apparently he had sensed Tam's emotions...

"I sense I need to make an exit."

Just before he started to 'make his exit', her eyes darted back to him, as if pleading him to stay. His heart started pounding once again, and suddenly he found himself conflicted over nothing. 

Thank Goodness Linh pinched him, reminding him to leave the scene.

With that, he turned and fled, hoping his face wasn't as he thought it was.

Talk about messing up...

Why these new feelings started? He had no clue. All he knew was that he was about to run late, and his next session was ability training session, and he did not want to be late for Lady Zillah's session.

"Shadowflux can be a curse, or a gift. They can heal and hurt. Whichever purpose to use it for, the choice is yours-" the mentor droned on. Tam stifled a yawn.

"Now, it's your turn, Mr Tam. First, imagine I'm your worst enemy. Hurt me as badly as you can."

Hesitantly, he gathered all the strength inside him, and channeled it into the shadowflux, nearly knocking Lady Zillah onto the floor.

"Now, think of the two people you love the most. Chanel that into the shadowflux. It will... heal me..." The mentor's voice was fading as the hate in t he shadowflux was too strong.

Two people he loved the most...

The first one was Linh, obviously, but the second...

Normally, he would say, and only to himself, that it would be Biana, but after the heartbreak and all...

Ok. Sophie and Linh.

Channeling all the love was tough, but he did it. Finally, Lady Zillah was out of this trance, and suddenly he buckled to his knees. All the energy was drained out of him.

Then the world went black.

"Tam?"

Did he faint?

Apparently, he did as Elwin's face appeared in front of him as he said, "You were out for about 2 hours."

That was when he realised that it was Sophie who had called his name.

'Girl, you make me shy, shy, shy,

I'm fighting butterflies,

Yeah, you make me lose my mind,

whenever you're near me,'

"You're awake! YAY!!!"

Suddenly, Sophie jumped onto the healing center's bed and leaped into Tam's arms, nearly causing him to jump out of the bed himself.

But he forgot about the pain, especially in the next few seconds.

Because when Sophie jumped onto the bed,

she had crashed her lips into his.

Suddenly all his troubles melted away for three glorious seconds.

Then he did a very very stupid thing.

He pulled away due to his nerves, only to reveal that Linh, and Elwin- who was wearing a shirt with a gulon on it- were fangirling in the back. Elwin.

And worst of all was the look on Sophie's face. For a split second, her eyebrows furrowed and her brown eyes looked to the floor, as if she was... disappointed.

Worst. day ever.

Why was he so shy around her?

Maybe it was because of a simple fact.

That he liked Sophie Foster.

He was falling for her.

But he was too shy to admit it...

'Girl you make me shy~'

Soo... YAY I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!! Also I really missed updating, but next year is a really important year at school for me so my updated will be even more infrequent... sorry:( I'll still try to update tho! I'll most likely only have time for graphics. In the meantime, I'll do a Q and A here on this chapter :)
