34. The Letters
❤️❤️
IT WAS EARLY MORNING, AND THE SKY ABOVE MALFOY MANOR WAS STILL A PALE SHADE OF DAWN, THE SOFT GLOW OF THE RISING SUN BARELY CRESTING OVER THE HORIZON.
Esmie stepped out of the grand entrance, drawing in a deep breath of the cool, crisp air. Her footsteps were soft against the gravel path as she wandered through the meticulously kept gardens, the towering hedges and fragrant flowers offering little solace to the thoughts swirling in her mind.
The manor loomed behind her, a dark reminder of the events that had transpired within its walls. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't escape the weight of those memories. They clung to her like a second skin, always just beneath the surface. Every night, the nightmares returned. Bellatrix's face twisted with cruel delight as she tortured her, the sharp pain that followed, and the cold, detached way Lucius and the Death Eaters had tried to force her to take the Dark Mark. The manor was beautiful, but to her, it was a gilded cage.
Esmie found a secluded bench, far enough from the house but still within view of its towering silhouette. She sat down, her fingers trembling slightly as they played with the hem of her sleeve. The scars—faint but ever-present—tingled beneath the fabric. The mark that had once been forced upon her had faded, but the reminder was always there, both in her mind and etched into her skin.
As she sat in the stillness, trying to steady her breathing, the sound of footsteps on the gravel path reached her ears. Esmie didn't need to look to know who it was. There was a familiarity to the way he walked, a quiet presence that always lingered near her.
"Esmie?" Draco's voice was soft but concerned, and when she turned, she saw him standing a few feet away, his expression serious but not without empathy. He had changed over the years. Gone was the haughty arrogance he once wore like armour. Now, there was something softer about him, something more human.
"Hi," she greeted him, her voice quieter than she intended. She glanced down at her hands, still playing with the hem of her sleeve, not wanting to meet his eyes.
Draco walked over and sat beside her on the bench, leaving a respectful distance between them. "What are you doing out here?" he asked, watching her closely.
Esmie sighed, her shoulders sagging slightly. "I couldn't sleep," she admitted, though it was clear from the shadows under her eyes that this had been the case for several nights now. "I didn't want to wake Enzo. He was sleeping so peacefully, and I just needed some air."
Draco nodded, not pressing her for more, though his eyes remained on her. "Are you okay?" he asked after a long pause, his voice gentle.
"They're just nightmares, Draco," Esmie responded automatically, as if she had repeated the phrase to herself too many times to count. "They don't mean anything. They aren't real."
Draco raised an eyebrow, his skepticism evident. "Right. That's why you're out here before dawn, instead of resting in bed."
Esmie huffed softly, though there was no malice in it. "I just needed some fresh air," she muttered, not entirely sure if she was trying to convince herself or him.
"You know you can talk to me, right?" Draco said, his voice filled with quiet sincerity. "I'm not Enzo, but I'm here for you. You don't have to carry this alone."
Her hands stilled in her lap as she looked down, her fingers clenched together tightly. "It's just... being back here, in this place, it's hard." Her voice was barely above a whisper. "Every time I walk through those doors, I'm reminded of what happened. It feels like no matter how much time passes, it's always there."
Draco's gaze softened, his voice quieter when he spoke. "This is where you were tortured, isn't it?"
Esmie nodded, biting her lip as tears welled up in her eyes, blurring the carefully kept gardens in front of her. "Twice," she whispered, her voice breaking slightly.
"Twice?" Draco's shock was palpable. He shifted closer, though he was careful not to touch her, knowing how sensitive she was about her scars. "I knew about Bellatrix, but the second time—"
"It was Lucius," Esmie interrupted, her voice growing a little stronger as she finally met his eyes. "And another Death Eater. They held me down and tried to force me to take the mark. If it wasn't for Mattheo..." Her voice trailed off, and she shook her head, unwilling to let herself go down that path of what-ifs.
Draco's expression darkened as he ran a hand through his hair. "I didn't know it was that bad," he said quietly, his gaze shifting to the scar on her arm where the partial mark had once been. He reached out tentatively, tracing the faint scar with his fingertips. "Have you tried—?"
"I've tried everything," Esmie said, cutting him off gently. "There's no way to remove it. It's a part of me now. Narcissa tried helping, but even she admitted it was impossible."
Draco withdrew his hand, guilt creeping into his expression. "I'm so sorry, Esmie. I should've—"
"You don't need to apologise, Draco," she said, shaking her head. "What happened wasn't your fault."
"I wasn't exactly kind to you before," Draco reminded her, a rueful smile on his lips. "I said things, called you things... things I regret."
"I forgave you a long time ago," Esmie replied, her voice softening. "You don't need to keep apologising for that. We've both changed."
Draco smiled slightly at that, and for a moment, it felt as though the heavy weight of the past lifted, if only a little.
Before either of them could say anything more, footsteps approached from behind. Esmie turned to see Enzo making his way towards them, his brow furrowed in concern.
Draco stood up quickly, clearing his throat. "Well, I should head back. I'll see you both later," he muttered, nodding to Enzo before walking off toward the manor.
"Hi," Esmie greeted softly as Enzo sat beside her, immediately reaching for her hand.
"What are you doing out here, Mie?" he asked, his voice gentle as he took her hand in his, lacing their fingers together.
"I couldn't sleep," she replied, leaning into him slightly. "The nightmares were getting bad, and I didn't want to wake you."
"You know I don't mind if you wake me," Enzo said softly, kissing the top of her head. "What were the nightmares about this time?"
Esmie hesitated, her voice small as she spoke. "Being back here, Enzo... it just brings everything back. The torture, the fear. I can't stop thinking about it."
Enzo frowned, his thumb brushing against her cheek, wiping away a tear that had slipped free. "I'm so sorry, Mie. I wish I could take it all away."
"It's not your fault," she whispered, shaking her head. "You did everything you could."
Enzo kissed her softly, pressing his lips to her scarred arm as if to take away the pain she still carried. "I love you, Mie."
"I love you too," she murmured, feeling the warmth of his love wrap around her, offering some sense of peace.
Just then, an owl swooped down, landing on the porch and dropping several envelopes. Esmie stood, picking them up and scanning the names.
"They're from Hogwarts," she said, reading the names aloud. "Lorenzo Berkshire, Draco Malfoy, Josephine Lupin, Mattheo Riddle, Danielle Riddle, Theodore Nott, and Esmeralda Grisky... all of us."
Enzo's brow furrowed. "Why would Hogwarts be sending us letters?"
"I don't know," Esmie replied, glancing back at the manor. "But let's go find the others. Maybe they'll know what's going on."
With a nod, Enzo stood, taking her hand as they headed back inside, a strange new uncertainty lingering in the air. The weight of the past hung between them, but the promise of something new—whatever it was—loomed just ahead.
Esmie and Enzo made their way to the grand living room of Malfoy Manor, the rich, intricate details of the manor's architecture barely registering in Esmie's mind as excitement and nervous anticipation filled her thoughts. The group was already gathered, sitting in various spots around the spacious room, which was filled with the muted light of the early morning sun streaming through the tall windows. The air was thick with curiosity as the group turned their attention to Esmie, who held a stack of envelopes in her hands.
"We've got mail!" Esmie announced cheerfully, holding the letters up for everyone to see. The letters, sealed with the familiar Hogwarts crest, made everyone pause with a mixture of nostalgia and anticipation.
Draco, lounging casually on a velvet armchair near the hearth, smirked at her. "You could've let the house-elves handle that, Grisky," he teased, his eyes glinting with amusement.
Esmie rolled her eyes, unable to suppress a small laugh. "Oh please, Draco, do I look like I need a house-elf to carry a few letters?"
With a dramatic sigh, Draco leaned back, but the smirk never left his face. Esmie smiled as she moved around the room, handing each envelope to its rightful owner. She gave one to Theo, then to Josie, then passed one to Mattheo, who looked up from his book with a raised eyebrow. When she reached Danielle, who was perched gracefully on a window seat, Esmie handed her a letter with a smile. Danielle returned the smile, a glimmer of curiosity in her dark eyes as she took the envelope. As she took her letter, she gave Esmie a nod of thanks, her curiosity clearly piqued.
"They're from Hogwarts?" Josie asked, her voice filled with curiosity as she examined the sealed letter in her hands.
Esmie nodded as she gave the last letter to Enzo, who was seated beside her on the couch. Elsie, sitting nearby, frowned as she looked around the room, noticing that she hadn't been given a letter.
"Why didn't I get one?" Elsie asked, a hint of disappointment in her voice.
"You're returning to Hogwarts this year, aren't you?" Esmie asked, turning to Elsie as she and Enzo made themselves comfortable on the plush sofa, their fingers laced together.
"Yeah, of course I am," Elsie replied with a slight pout. "I just wish you were all coming back with me."
Theo, who was sitting close to Elsie, gave her a warm smile before wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "I'm going to miss you while you're away, Cara Mia," he murmured softly before kissing her cheek. Elsie blushed, her cheeks turning a soft pink, though she smiled at Theo's affection.
Esmie grinned at their display of affection before glancing at the others, who were all holding their unopened envelopes. The air was thick with anticipation, everyone's curiosity growing by the second.
"So, what's inside the envelopes?" Elsie asked, her excitement returning as she looked around at the group.
Esmie hesitated for a moment before breaking the wax seal on her letter. She carefully unfolded the parchment, her eyes scanning the words, and slowly, a smile crept across her face.
"We've been invited to return for an eighth year," she announced, her voice brimming with excitement. "All seventh years who didn't finish their final year are being welcomed back to Hogwarts to complete their schooling."
There was a collective murmur of surprise and curiosity as the others started to open their envelopes, the rustling of parchment filling the room as each of them read their letters.
"We're being invited back?" Draco asked, his voice incredulous. "Even after everything that happened?"
Esmie nodded, unable to contain her excitement. "Yes, it looks like we all have the opportunity to go back and finish our education."
She looked down at her letter again, her heart swelling with hope. "I have a chance to become a Potions Professor," she added softly, the realisation that her dream was now within reach making her smile.
Draco raised an eyebrow at her words, his lips quirking into a half-smile. "You want to be a Potions Professor, like Snape?" he asked, though his tone was more curious than mocking this time.
Before Esmie could answer, Enzo, sitting beside her, leaned over and nudged Draco in the leg with his foot. Draco yelped and glared at Enzo, who shrugged innocently. "That's enough out of you, Malfoy," Enzo said with a smirk.
Esmie laughed softly before looking back at Draco. "It's not about Snape," she explained. "It's something I've always wanted to do, ever since our third year."
Enzo turned his attention back to her, his eyes warm with admiration. "And I think you'll make an incredible Potions Professor," he said, his voice soft. His hand found hers again, giving it a gentle squeeze.
Across the room, Danielle glanced up from her letter, her dark eyes thoughtful. "So we're all going back?" she asked, her voice calm, though there was an underlying sense of interest in her tone.
Esmie nodded, her gaze meeting Danielle's. "It seems so," she replied. "Hogwarts is giving us a second chance, a chance to finish what we started."
Danielle's lips curved into a small smile as she folded her letter carefully. "It'll be strange to return after everything we've been through," she mused, her voice quiet. "But I think it's the right choice."
Mattheo, sitting in an armchair near the fire, nodded in agreement. "It does feel strange," he said, his voice thoughtful as he glanced at his letter. "But maybe it's time to close the chapter on everything that happened and move forward."
Esmie felt a warmth spread through her chest at Mattheo's words. For a moment, she allowed herself to imagine what it would be like to be back at Hogwarts, not as a battle-hardened fighter, but as a student again. The halls, the Great Hall, the smell of the Potions classroom, and the familiar sight of the common rooms—all of it felt so distant and yet so close.
Draco, still holding his letter, glanced over at Josie, who had curled up beside him, reading her own. His expression softened as he spoke quietly. "I have a chance to be something more than... than what I was," he said, his voice uncertain as if the weight of his past was still pressing on him.
Josie looked up at him, her eyes filled with understanding. "You're already more than that to me," she whispered, wrapping her arm around his waist and resting her head against his chest.
Esmie nodded in agreement, her eyes meeting Draco's. "She's right. We all have a chance now. A chance to be something more, to be whatever we want."
As Esmie spoke, Enzo gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "I'm in," he said firmly, turning to face her. "Let's go back to Hogwarts."
Across the room, Mattheo sighed dramatically. "Does this mean I'm going to have to share a dorm with you two again?" he asked, glancing between Esmie and Enzo with exaggerated annoyance.
Esmie grinned as she leaned into Enzo's side. "Yes, Matty. You'll be stuck with us for another year," she teased, flashing him a mischievous smile.
"Matty?" Enzo repeated, raising an eyebrow at the nickname.
Mattheo groaned, running a hand through his dark hair. "She knows I hate that nickname," he muttered under his breath, though there was a playful glint in his eyes.
Danielle chuckled softly from her spot by the window. "You've been calling him that since third year, Esmie. I'm surprised he hasn't gotten used to it by now."
Esmie laughed, shrugging her shoulders. "He'll never get used to it, but that's part of the fun."
Theo, who had been quietly reading his letter, looked up at Elsie and smiled softly. "So, are you coming back to Hogwarts, Cara Mia?" he asked, his voice filled with hope.
Elsie nodded eagerly. "Of course! I couldn't imagine going back without all of you."
The room was filled with warmth and quiet excitement as everyone reflected on their decision to return to Hogwarts. It felt like a second chance, a chance to rebuild what had been lost and reclaim a piece of their lives.
Just then, Narcissa's voice called out from the dining room. "Breakfast is ready!"
The group exchanged glances before standing and making their way toward the dining room. As they entered the room, the long table was laid out with an incredible spread of breakfast foods—warm pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, and yogurt. Esmie's eyes immediately landed on a bowl of vanilla yogurt with pineapple, and she let out a delighted squeal.
"How did you know I like vanilla yogurt and pineapple?" she asked, glancing at Narcissa with wide eyes.
Narcissa smiled warmly. "Lorenzo told me," she replied, nodding toward Enzo with a fond smile.
Esmie beamed, her heart swelling with affection as she turned to Enzo. She mouthed a quiet "thank you," and Enzo winked at her, his grin widening.
Nearby, Theo watched with a grimace. "How can you eat that stuff?" he muttered, scrunching up his nose as Esmie happily scooped the yogurt onto her plate.
Enzo leaned over, curious. "Can I try it?"
Esmie laughed and held out her spoon for him. Enzo took a bite, chewing thoughtfully before nodding. "It's actually pretty good."
Theo groaned in mock disbelief. "I don't know how you two manage that."
The group laughed as they settled into their seats, and soon the dining room was filled with the sound of cheerful conversation. Plans were being made for their return to Hogwarts, everyone discussing their hopes and plans for the upcoming year. Esmie, her heart full as she listened to the conversations around her, couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of hope.
After breakfast, Esmie and Enzo headed back to the room they had been sharing. As soon as they entered, Enzo pulled her into his arms, his hands gently cradling her face as he kissed her forehead softly. Esmie blushed, her heart fluttering at the tenderness of his touch.
Before they could get too comfortable, Elsie appeared at the door, knocking softly before stepping inside. "Hey," she said with an apologetic smile. "We're all heading over to the Burrow to visit Hermione, Ron, and Harry. Did you want to come with us?"
Esmie and Enzo exchanged glances before Esmie smiled at Elsie. "All of us?"
"Yes, well, everyone except Mattheo," Elsie said with a shrug.
"Mattheo's not coming?" Enzo asked, raising an eyebrow.
"He said he's visiting a friend," Elsie replied with a smirk.
Esmie nodded before turning to Enzo. "We'll be downstairs in ten minutes," she said.
Once Elsie left, Esmie looked at Enzo and giggled, unable to contain the amusement bubbling up inside her. Enzo, noticing her giggle, narrowed his eyes playfully. "What's so funny, Princess?" he asked, his tone teasing.
Esmie shook her head, trying to stifle her laughter. "Nothing," she said, though the twinkle in her eyes betrayed her.
Enzo grinned, stepping closer to her and leaning down so their faces were inches apart. "Are you laughing at me?" he asked, his voice filled with mock suspicion.
"No," Esmie replied, though her giggles were growing louder.
With a wicked smile, Enzo leaned even closer, tapping her nose lightly. "Hmm, I think you deserve to be punished for laughing at me, Esmeralda."
Before Esmie could respond, Enzo launched into a tickle attack, causing her to burst into uncontrollable laughter as she tried to squirm away from him. "S-Stop, Sweets!" she gasped between fits of laughter.
Enzo chuckled and finally stopped tickling her, pulling her into his arms and kissing her softly. Esmie smiled into the kiss, feeling her heart swell with happiness.
"Come on," she said, pulling away with a grin. "We should get ready."
Enzo nodded, and the two of them hurried to get dressed. Once they were ready, they made their way downstairs to join the rest of the group. As soon as they entered the foyer, Esmie spotted Pansy and let out a delighted squeal, sprinting over to give her a hug.
"Hi, Grisky," Pansy laughed, hugging her back tightly.
With everyone gathered, the group left Malfoy Manor together, heading off to the Burrow to meet with their old friends. The morning air was crisp and filled with the promise of a new chapter, and as Esmie walked hand in hand with Enzo, surrounded by her closest friends, she couldn't help but feel that, with them by her side, anything was possible. Hogwarts awaited, and so did the future they had been fighting for.

Esmie felt the warmth of Hermione's tight embrace as soon as she stepped foot inside the Burrow. It was as if the months of separation, the chaos of the past year, melted away in that single moment of reunion.
"Esmie!" Hermione squealed in excitement, pulling her closer, her bushy hair brushing against Esmie's cheek. Esmie laughed, feeling a rush of warmth spread through her at the sight of her old friend.
When they finally pulled apart, Hermione's gaze shifted and fell on Pansy, who was lingering behind Esmie with her usual cool, slightly detached demeanour. Hermione's smile softened, and she greeted her, though her tone was more reserved. "Hi, Pansy."
Pansy, crossing her arms in her typical aloof fashion, started with her usual snark. "Hi, Granger." Esmie, knowing Pansy's sharp tongue a little too well, immediately nudged her sharply with her foot.
Pansy blinked, momentarily startled. "I—I mean, h-hi, Hermione," she corrected herself, though her voice came out awkwardly as if unused to addressing Hermione in such a civil way.
Esmie couldn't help but grin, watching the awkward exchange before stepping in quickly. "We're going to go find Harry!" she announced, grabbing Enzo's hand before Hermione and Pansy could fall into another tense conversation. Without further delay, Esmie tugged Enzo away, her fingers tightening around his as they slipped through the door unnoticed.
Once they were outside, Enzo's amused voice broke the silence. "What are you playing at, Mie?" he asked, raising an eyebrow as he followed her toward the familiar, crooked structure of the Burrow.
Esmie flashed him a mischievous smile over her shoulder, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Pansy likes Hermione," she said matter-of-factly, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
Enzo stopped short, blinking in surprise. "Wait, what? But isn't Hermione with Ron?" His confusion deepened as he tried to make sense of it.
Esmie shrugged, giving him a sly grin. "That doesn't mean Pansy can't have a crush on her." She cast a glance over her shoulder again, briefly catching sight of Pansy and Hermione chatting, much to her satisfaction. She smiled to herself, proud of her small matchmaking effort.
As they made their way into the Burrow, Esmie paused at the kitchen door, where the familiar smell of homemade bread and fresh tea filled the air. Ron was sitting at the wooden table, his face slightly flushed as he chatted with someone Esmie hadn't expected to see.
"Delilah?" Esmie's voice came out in surprise as she spotted Draco's twin sister standing beside Ron, leaning casually against the counter. The blonde turned, her icy blue eyes widening as she recognised Esmie.
"Esmie? What are you doing here?" Delilah asked, though her gaze flickered briefly over Enzo without much acknowledgment, her attention remaining fixed on Esmie.
Esmie tilted her head, curiosity piqued. "We all came to visit," she explained, her tone warm. "But where have you been? We haven't heard from you in months."
Delilah sighed, running her fingers through her long, blonde hair. "During the battle, I was helping the younger Slytherin students escape, but then I heard rumours that Harry had died, and... well, I panicked. I escaped with a few other students and ended up here eventually. Ron invited me to stay," she explained, nodding toward Ron, who smiled sheepishly from his seat.
Enzo stepped forward, offering a kind smile. "It's good to see you, Lilah."
Delilah glanced at him briefly, her expression softening for a moment before she turned back to Esmie. Before any more could be said, the door behind them creaked open, and the familiar sound of Draco's voice filled the room.
"Delilah?" Draco's tone was filled with disbelief as he entered, hand in hand with Josie, his eyes widening when he saw his twin. Without hesitation, he dropped Josie's hand and rushed toward Delilah, pulling her into a tight hug.
Esmie watched the siblings' reunion with a soft smile, her heart swelling at the sight of Draco's rare display of affection. He and Delilah had always shared a close bond, one that had been tested during the war but had remained strong despite everything.
As Draco embraced his sister, Esmie noticed more people filtering into the room. Harry, Elsie, and Theo stepped in, their faces lighting up at the sight of familiar company. Esmie waved them over, and soon, the dining room was buzzing with the sound of laughter and chatter as old friends caught up.
It wasn't long before Hermione, Pansy, Hope, Grace, and Ginny joined them, filling the already lively room with even more warmth. Esmie stood by Enzo's side, feeling a swell of joy at being surrounded by her friends once more. Despite the challenges they had all faced, there was an undeniable sense of unity in the air, a shared bond that had grown even stronger in the face of adversity.
At that moment, Esmie felt the need to speak. She cleared her throat softly, drawing the room's attention. "I have something I'd like to say," she began, her voice steady but filled with emotion. All eyes turned to her, and she smiled, her gaze sweeping over each of her friends.
"We're all here together," Esmie continued, her voice growing warmer as she spoke. "And I just want to say how happy I am to be with all of you, right here, right now. We've been through so much, but I'm so excited to go back to Hogwarts and have the best last year with everyone." She paused for a moment, feeling the weight of her words settle over the room.
Pansy, standing near Hermione, raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "You got your letters too?" she asked, crossing her arms with an intrigued smile.
Esmie nodded, beaming. "Yes, we did."
Harry, who had been leaning against the wall, spoke up as well, his voice calm but filled with determination. "We're going back too."
Elsie, who had been quietly watching, turned to Harry, her eyes lighting up with excitement. "We're going to graduate together?" she asked, hope shining in her voice.
Harry nodded, his smile widening. "Yeah, we are."
A ripple of excitement went through the room as the realisation settled over them. Esmie's heart felt light as she echoed Harry's sentiment. "We're all going to graduate together," she said with a soft smile, feeling the energy in the room grow warmer.
Enzo, standing behind her, wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer. Esmie leaned back into him, resting her hand on his arm as she listened to the happy murmurings of her friends. The chatter in the room grew as everyone began talking about their return to Hogwarts, planning their futures, and discussing their hopes for the year ahead.
As Esmie scanned the room, her eyes landed on Danielle, who was standing near the window, quietly observing the conversation. Danielle had been unusually quiet since they had arrived, her face thoughtful as she took in everything happening around her.
Sensing something, Esmie gently slipped out of Enzo's embrace and made her way over to Danielle, standing beside her at the window. "You excited to go back?" Esmie asked softly, her voice warm and inviting.
Danielle glanced over at her, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips. "It's... complicated," she admitted after a moment, her voice barely above a whisper. "Hogwarts has always been home, but after everything that's happened... it feels different."
Esmie nodded, understanding the weight behind Danielle's words. "It does feel different. But I think going back will help us move forward. We'll be with our friends, and maybe we can start healing together."
Danielle's smile grew slightly, though her eyes remained contemplative. "You're always so hopeful," she remarked, her voice filled with quiet admiration.
Esmie grinned. "Someone has to be."
The two girls stood together in comfortable silence, watching their friends talk and laugh across the room. Esmie felt a sense of peace settle over her. Despite the uncertainty that lingered, she knew they had each other, and that made all the difference.
As Esmie returned to Enzo's side, she smiled at Danielle, who nodded back in quiet acknowledgment. Enzo wrapped his arms around her again, and they both watched as their friends continued to talk about their future at Hogwarts.
"I can't wait to see what this year has in store for all of us," Esmie whispered, her voice barely audible over the noise of the room.
Danielle, who had joined the group now, caught her words and smiled faintly. "Neither can I."
With a final glance around the room, Esmie knew one thing for certain: they were all going back to Hogwarts, and no matter what challenges awaited them in their final year, they would face them together. Their shared bond, forged through fire and battle, was stronger than ever. As Esmie leaned into Enzo's comforting embrace, she couldn't help but feel that, despite everything, their future looked bright. The final chapter of their time at Hogwarts was about to begin, and it promised to be unforgettable.
