CHAPTER FIFTEEN,
chaos waits.

Daryl and his group, which consisted of Tyreese, Michonne, and Bob, had left the prison.

Aiden was reading a book when Rick approached her. "Carol killed Karen and David."

Aiden furrowed her eyebrows and dropped her book in her lap, "she did?"

"Told me herself, I'm gonna let her go." Rick informed.

"What?" Aiden asked, her eyes wide. "You're just gonna let her go?"

Rick nodded.

He suddenly said, "you know I don't want you to hate me."

This comment shocked Aiden, "how can I not? You killed my brother."

"And you killed my wife." Rick replied. Aiden stopped breathing for a moment.

"I didn't kill Lori. It was either her or the baby. She made her choice. She wanted her baby to live." Aiden said sternly. "Rick... what happened that night?"

She watched Rick take a deep breath, "he killed Randall to lure me out into the woods. You know he killed Randall, right?" She nodded, "he was gonna put a bullet in my back, Aiden. He believed Carl and Judith were his kids, that Lori was his wife. He thought he could be a better husband and father than me."

"So you killed him." Aiden nodded her head. Rick nodded as well, "I need to go on a run, Rick, and I can't go by myself."

"Carol and I are going on a run soon." Rick stated.

"I need Maggie to come with me." Aiden mumbled. "It'll be a quick. We'll be back in a couple hours."

"She hasn't be exposed, Aiden."

"Michonne wasn't exposed but you let her get in a car with Tyreese and Daryl who were both exposed."

Rick sighed and rubbed his eyes, "talk to her first."

Maggie had agreed to go on Aiden's run with her after finding out what she needed to get.

"Aiden, why do you need this?" Maggie suddenly asked her.

"You know why." Aiden replied.

The two sat in silence in the truck for a couple minutes until Aiden spoke up, "Glenn's gonna be okay. So is Sasha." 

"I know they are." Maggie nodded, "how do think Daryl will react if it's true?"

"I have absolutely no clue." Aiden replied.

"How do you think you'll react if it's true?" Maggie asked her.

"Honestly? It's not going to stop me from doing anything." Aiden said with a shrug.

The two pulled up to the drug store. Aiden sighed, "here goes nothing."

The two got out of the truck with their guns raised.

The neighborhood was oddly quiet and empty. No people, no walkers. "It's quiet."

"It's peaceful." Maggie replied.

"Let's go get this thing." Aiden said. The two slowly walked inside the store and looked around. It had very little things left in it.

"Perfect." Aiden mumbled and grabbed exactly what she needed.

"You ready?" Maggie asked.

"As I can be."

Rick returned without Carol. It already felt empty without Carol's motherly presence in the cell beside her and Daryl's. She was going to miss her.

But Aiden couldn't really blame either of them for what they did.

Carol tried to stop the illness from spreading and Rick was just trying to protect his people.

Aiden had no clue what was going on in isolation as of right now but she knew she had to do something about the walkers on the fence. She was sick of hearing the snarls all day and night.

She walked in between the fences and glared at the walkers, "okay you sons of bitches, let's get this done."

She stabbed walkers through the fence for about an hour before Maggie and Rick came down to put wood post up.

Aiden continued to stab the walkers until one grabbed Rick's leg. Maggie reacted quickly and cut its arm off, "I'm just glad you're out here with me."

Aiden sat in her cell with her head in her hands as a tear slipped down her face. She was scared. She was happy. She was sad.

She suddenly heard a scream and gunshot from cell block A. She quickly ran out of her cell and towards isolation.

"Maggie!" She called out to her best friend. "Go shoot the window!"

Maggie listened and ran to where the sick and the uninfected speak. The two climbed through the window and into the chaos that waited for them.

Hershel yelled for Maggie not to shot the walker he was wrestling with. Aiden ran up the stairs and towards Glenn, "Glenn!"

Her first instinct was to call for Maggie and Hershel, "Maggie! Hershel! He's turning blue!" 

"Roll him onto his back." Hershel instructed Aiden. Maggie hung back in shock as she watched her husband knock on deaths doors.

Aiden obeyed and put him on his back. "Hold his arms down." Aiden did so as he put the tube down his throat.

Maggie fell down beside Glenn as Hershel squeezed the air bag, "stay with us, Glenn." Hershel looked up at the two women.

"I didn't want you two in here." He said to them.

"I know. I had to. Just like you." Maggie replied. Lizzie walked up to the trio.

"I told you to stay put." Hershel said to her.

"Is it over?" She asked.

"I hope so, honey." Maggie replied.

"Come on, Lizzie. Let's get you back in the cell with Luke. I'll even sit in there with y'all." Aiden stood, "come get me if you need me." She said to Hershel.

Lizzie led Aiden back go where Luke was.  Aiden sat down on the bed this sparked a reaction in the two kids as they crawled up on the bed beside her and curled into her sides.

Aiden knew she was at a severe risk of getting sick but Daryl and his group would be back soon.

Daryl and his group was home and with the medicine too. Aiden left the isolation block and approached her husband, "hey." She greeted him.

He smiled and brought her into his chest. Aiden sighed contently and wrapped her arms around his middle. "I'm glad you're back."

"Me too." He said. "What happened while we were gone? Where's Carol?"

"You need to talk to Rick about her. She's okay. But, uh, the walkers got in from outside. Maggie and I went on a run."

"For what?" Daryl asked.

"We'll talk about that once everything settles down a bit, okay? It's a lot to take in." Aiden said and Daryl nodded.

Michonne approached the two and smiled at Aiden. "Hey."

The two women hugged before pulling away, "what happened out there?" Aiden asked.

"We got over run on the road, almost lost Ty. We lost the car but we got a mini van now. Uh, Bob only took liquor instead of actual meds. We got overrun at the college too." Michonne said.

"He went all that way just to put alcohol in his bag and no meds?" Aiden hissed.

"Yeah, Daryl handled it." Michonne winked at her.

"Of course he did." Aiden said with a roll of her eyes. "Probably violently."

"Not really. He was going to throw the bottle but Bob nearly pulled his gun on him." Michonne stated. Aiden rose her eyebrows and looked at Daryl.

"You let that fly?"

"Hell no. I took his gun." Daryl said.

Everything was soon settled. The infected got the medicine into their systems.

Aiden sat on the steps in cell block C when Daryl came and sat beside her. "Hi."

"You okay?" He asked her. Aiden sighed and rubbed her face.

"I gotta tell you something." Aiden stated.

"What is it?" Daryl asked cuuriously.

Aiden took a deep breathe before looking at him with teary eyes, "I'm pregnant."

and there's that! another edited chapter. i only have a few left to edit and then we're already gonna be onto philophobia! now that is a book i'm terrified to edit.

aiden's pregnant!! my baby is going to have a baby. i feel like a grandma.

but next chapter is episode eight... we all know what happened in the mid season finale of season four.

but daryl is gonna be a daddy, not that he already ain't one ;).

but we meet those new characters here soon. i'll let you know now. it's two men and one woman.
