Lee Felix

We were seated on the white bench.

My eyes were trained on my lap as I fiddled with my fingers nervously. I didn't look at Chan.

"So," He started, and I knew he was staring right at me, his gaze setting my body aflame. "Did you get all dolled up to meet me?" I could hear the playfulness in his flirty voice.

I was quick to nod my head to either sides. "I just h-happened to be wearing this.." And I had to stutter. Was it my fault, though? I've never, ever imagined sitting so close to the human representation of 'perfect'.

"Cute." He laughed. "Why do you sneak out?"

Finally finding the courage to look at him, I raised my head. But once I laid my eyes on him, the words I was meant to voice did not come out. His wavy blond hair was tousled into a mess, thick and lustrous. My insides ached with the urge to reach out and ruffle the strands. I found myself drown in the depth of his warm, almond eyes. My eyes flickered over his features, then landed on his lips, which formed into a gentle smile. His pink plush lips. It would probably be soft- God, I should stop.

"Do I really look that good?" He chuckled.

I immediately averted my gaze, feeling my cheeks flush. I cleared my throat. "I was just thinking.. A-Anyway, I don't have a reason.. Why?" I looked back at him. "Why are you here?"

This time, he tore his eyes off mine. With a deep breath traced with exhaustion, he gazed up at the charcoal sky. His prominent jaw line was now clearly visible. The moon cast down little splinters of light on his pale, milky skin, and left sparkling reflections in his brown orbs.

He's so awfully beautiful.

The most beautiful creation I've ever seen.

"I was hoping you'd be here tonight." He returned his gaze to me, and I felt my face heat up instantly. "So I came. That's it." He smiled.

What is it that's making my stomach feel weird and fuzzy?

I couldn't hold back from breaking out into a smile, so I bit my lips in hopes that it wouldn't show. He grinned. He definitely saw me smile.

"You seem happy about that." He said, voice low and husky. Is this what sexy means?

I didn't know what to say. So I grinned too, but with a sound.

That was embarrassing.

"S-So uh.." I fumbled in a hasty attempt to bring up a conversation. "How old are you?"

Now that was lame.

He chuckled, the heavenly sound of his laughter blessing my ears once more. "Twenty two. You? I'm sure you're a baby."

My face puckered into a pout. "I'm not a baby.. I'm nineteen."

"Baby. Fetus."

I glared at him intensely, but he only laughed at my reaction, which caused my frown to turn into a smile as a result. Who is this guy that's making me feel weird?

I had forgotten about time, almost entirely. I did not keep track of how many minutes had passed while Chan and I sat by each other's sides, talking about this and that, occasionally breaking out into fits of giggles and laughs. For a fleeting moment, it felt so right to be here with him;

It felt like everything was okay.

I sighed. If only I could stay right here forever. Without going back home. Without having to face reality. If only Chan and I were the only ones to exist.

Wait.

I met him last night. He could totally turn out to be satan in disguise and I'd never know. Or he could be Michael Jackson's reincarnation-

Thanks to my absurd thoughts, I concluded that it might have been past three am. "Channie what's the time?"

Chan froze. I couldn't understand the expression on his face, but soon, his cheeks turned a tint of red. His lips then curved into a smirk. "'Channie'? You should stop being adorable, Lix."

I frowned in confusion. "But you call me Lix.. So I wanna call you Channie."

He grabbed his phone out and took a look at the lit-up screen. He then glanced at me again, eyes beaming with a gentleness I've never felt before.

"You can call me anything, baby. But if you continue to be so cute, I'll lose control of myself. And it's two forty-eight."

I was about to allow myself to get flustered at his words, but the last part slapped me right in the face. I gasped. "I better hurry back."

Chan stood up right as I did, and sighed. I turned to face him fully. We stood there for a moment, just staring into each other's eyes.

"I.. I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" I rocked on my heels. I was sure he'd feel the hopefulness in my voice.

He smiled, his angelic dimples on full display. "See you, then. Goodnight, baby."
