Maybe I was a little too happy to meet Chan.... I didn't realise I made it to the park at as early as 12 am.

I paced around impatiently. It was cold. I felt the icy wind freeze my exposed legs. I regret choosing to wear shorts. But my outfit looked good, so it was worth it. I adjusted the strap of my backpack which held the plenty of food I packed. And I mean, plenty. Because as I was sneaking out, I stopped to check the fridge.. And dumped whatever I saw into my backpack. Macaroons, profiteroles, eclairs, and a few foods I didn't know the names of. I hope his friends will like me..

"Woow."

I swiftly turned around as I heard Chan's chuckle. He eyed me from head to toe and whistled, then we locked eyes. His hypnotizing chocolate eyes sparkled like they held dozens of stars. I couldn't help but smile, despite feeling like my body was on fire under his dreamy gaze.

"You look.." Chan bit his lips, his eyes traveling over my body again. I shrunk back. "You look delicious." He winked.

I held my hands over my flushed face. "No way."

"You're really early. Impatient to see me, huh?"
He asked playfully.

Where's the lie though? I really was impatient.
I nodded and I heard him chuckle again. I can't lie to him.

"You ready, baby? Let's go."
{^had to include the 'baby' or you guys will start singing My Pace}

He gestured for me to follow and I skipped to catch up with him.

Then I tripped.

If Chan hadn't caught my arm, my face would've crashed right onto the cobblestone ground. Why must I be so clumsy? I pursed my lips to refrain from screaming in embarrassment but Chan held my arm firmly and laughed. He then slid his hand down my arm, his touch electrifying me through the fabric of my sleeve, until our fingers intertwined. I stole a glance at him. He was staring back at me, biting his lips. Woah. I looked away. Otherwise, I'm sure I would've stared at his lips for too long. With small steps, Chan then lead the way to the park's exit, my hand safely grasped in his.

"I love it when you blush."

Using the sweater paw of my free hand, I covered my face.

"Especially when I'm the reason you're blushing."

Was it my fault, though? He makes me shy, and I don't know why even. Maybe because he's an actual heartthrob.

"It's a long way from here, you'll be okay right? With walking." Chan peered into my face with worry.

I nodded with a smile, "I don't mind."

I looked around the empty streets. It was all so unfamiliar, and so dark. I had not a single clue where we were heading. I walked close to Chan. Once I realised I held his arm with my other hand, I tightened my grip on his silk black sleeve. These streets at night are somewhat scary..

Then we turned a corner. It was a narrow alleyway, littered with trash from the dumpsters on the side. After a few minutes of walking straight down the alleyway and my tripping countless times, we took another turn. 

Then down the road, another turn. 

And many more.

My mind was blank. My heart pumped faster. Where on earth are we going?

I looked at Chan, then my heart felt at ease. His eyes were gentle. I breathed in. I feel safe with him.

More steps through another unlit alley, and we turned the corner once again. It was a narrower pathway that fit only one person. One person sideways. I was thankful I wasn't claustrophobic.
Chan still held onto my hand. It was a short passage, though. Soon, we were in a somewhat open area, right in front of a few abandoned buildings.

Making sure to not step on the shards of glass covering the floor, I took each step carefully. I wonder how much longer we must walk to reach his place?

"We're here."

My head shot up to look at Chan. Then I looked in front of us, confused. We stood before an enormous building that rose up to six stories, with broken windows and no lights. It was abandoned. The brick walls had gaping holes which exposed the darkness inside. It was eerily silent. I felt shivers run down my spine. I gasped in disbelief.

No way he lives here, right?
