Third Person's POV

Gryffindor and Slytherins are lined in two rows with brooms by their sides. The teacher Madam Hooch, comes down the line. 

"Good afternoon, class." Hootch says to the students as Maren and Ruby are probably the only ones that's happy about this class because it's one of the few classes that they have together.

"Good afternoon Amanda. Welcome to your first flying lesson. Well, what are you waiting for? Everyone steps up to the left side of the broomstick. Come on now, hurry up. Stick your right hand over the broom and say, 'up'!" Madam Hooch instructs the class and they say the word 'up!'. But for some nothing happens, except for Harry, Maren and Ruby whose broomsticks immediately flew to their hands, as they have amazed smiles on their faces.

"Up!" Ron says as his broom immediately shot up and whacked him on the nose. Harry laughs at his best friend, as Ron shakes his head at him, and then also laughs after he recovered.

"Now, once you've got hold of your broom, I want you to mount it. And grip it tight, you don't want to be sliding off the end." Hootch says to the class as they mount on their broomsticks. "When I whistle, I want each of you to kick hard from the ground. Keep your broom steady hover for a moment, and then lean forward slightly and touch back down. On my whistle....3....2..."

After Neville's broom had a mind of it's own, he falls off it, leading him on a small adventure around the field uncontrollably, he falls and Neville is being brought to the hospital wing.

Draco finds Neville's remembrall as it had fallen out of his pocket and the blonde has it in his hand as Harry tries to get it back from him but it's no use.

"Harry, don't try." Maren says quietly to him about her brother. 

"Give it here, Malfoy." Harry says one last time, as Draco still isn't budging. 

"No, I think I'll leave it somewhere for Longbottom to find." Draco says as he hops on his broom and sores around the group. "How 'bout up on the roof?" He soars and hovers several feet above the ground. "What's the matter, Potter? Bit beyond your reach?"

After having enough of Draco's antics, Harry get son his broom but Hermione and Maren try to stop him, before he gets into trouble. "Harry, no way! You heard what Madam Hooch said! Besides you don't even know how to fly." Harry flies off to face Draco completely ignoring every word that Hermione just said.

"He's an idiot." Maren mumbles under her breath as Hermione nods her head at her best friend.

"Give it here, Malfoy, or I'll knock you off your broom!" Harry says as now he's in the air across from Draco.

"Is that so?" Draco asks making Harry dash for him but he twirls around his broom in a 360. "Have it your way then!"

Draco hurls the Remembrall into the air, like a baseball. Harry zooms after the ball, speeding towards a tower. Just as he is about to hit a window, from which McGonagall is working on paperwork, with a quill in hand, Harry catches the Remembrall.

McGonagall notices this and looks surprised as Harry begins to fly back down to the grounds after successfully catching the Remembrall. The students minus the Slytherin's cheer as Harry lands back on the ground at ease, and they run to him.

"Harry Potter?" McGonagall says as she appears in the grounds. Harry notices her and he gulps thinking that he's going to get into trouble. "Follow me." She says as Harry slowly follows her as Draco snickers along with the rest of the Slytherins. Well besides Ruby who shakes her head.

McGonagall and Harry arrive outside of Professor Quarrel's classroom. He is inside teaching holding a iguana.

"Professor Quarrel, excuse me. Could I borrow Wood, for a moment, please?" McGonagall asks as the Professor nods his head as Wood gets up to leave as Quarrel resumes the lesson.

"Mr. Potter, this is Oliver Wood. Wood, I have found you a Seeker!" McGonagall says proudly at Harry and Oliver Wood who smiles slightly at her. 

Harry, Ron and Maren are walking through the crowded halls. Sir Nicholas and a lady ghost float by. Maren is fascinated with the ghosts floating by.

"Have you heard? Harry Potter's the new Gryffindor Seeker. I always knew he'd do well." Sir Nicholas says with a smile on his face as he floats with the ghost lady beside him.

"Seeker? But first years never make their house teams!" Maren says before Ron excitedly interrupted her.

"You must be the youngest Quidditch player in..." Ron says as he's proud of Harry.

"A century according to McGonagall." Harry says as Fred and George Weasley approach and walk along with Ron, Harry and Maren.

"Hey, well done. Harry, Wood just told us!" Fred says as Harry nods his head with a smile as he's getting used to the twins and whose who.

"Fred and George are on the team too, Beaters." Ron says to Harry.

"Our job is to make sure that you don't get bloodied up too bad. Can't make any promises of course. Rough game, Quidditch." George says to Harry as Maren's smile gets wider.

"Brutal. But no one's died in years. Someone will vanish occasionally..." They break off from Harry and Ron who walk across the courtyard.

"That makes me feel better because..." Harry is confused at hearing what Fred says.

"But they'll turn up in a month or two!" George says as it's not making Harry feel better about the situation whatsoever.

"Oh, go on, Harry. Quidditch is great. Best game there is! And you'll be great, too!" Ron says as Harry smiles as Ron makes him feel better at being the Seeker. 

"But I've never even played Quidditch. What if I make a fool of myself?" Harry says questioning how he'll be on the team.

"You won't make a fool of yourself. It's in your blood." Maren says to Harry who has a tinge of a blush on his cheeks.

The three of them approach a trophy case, and Maren points at a plague of Quidditch players. One of them lists Harry's father as a Seeker.

"Whoa. Harry, you never told us your father was a Seeker too." Ron says as points out James Potter, his father being a Seeker.

'I-I didn't know that he was a Seeker." Harry says happily that she wasn't the only person in her family that was a Seeker.

Later that day

Ruby was walking around the school and found Hermione, Harry and Ron. The Golden trio heard footsteps and jumped when they saw Ruby.

"What are you doing here?" Hermione asks as Ruby merely shrugs her shoulders.

"What are you three doing here?" Ruby asked back to the others.

Before anyone can say anything else the stairs began to move again which made Ron freak out as Ruby rolls her eyes at him.

"Ahh!" Ron yells which made Hermione gasp.

"What's happening?" Harry asks.

"The stairs change remember?" Ruby says in a 'duh' tone in her voice. Moments later the stairs stops leading to a corridor.

"Let's go this way." Harry says as he taps Ron.

"Before the stairs move again." Ron says as Hermione opens the door.

They all walk into a dark, spooky and deserted corridor.

"Does anyone feel like we shouldn't be here?" Harry asks as Ruby stays behind them realizing where they are.

"We're not supposed to be here. This is the third floor." Ruby says with a shaky breath as she's catching her breath. She clutches her wand in her hand as she's holding it for dear life.

Suddenly, a flame lights on a tall stone support. At that moment Filch's cat Mrs. Norris and the group jumps.

"Let's go." Harry says as the others nod their head as they walk away. They run through the corridor. One by one the flames light up. They get to the end of the corridor to a door.

"Quick! Let's hide through that door!" Harry as he grabs the handle but it's locked.

Ruby pushes through the others and pulls out her wand so fast that no one saw it coming. "Alohomora." She says as the doors lock lifts up magically and it opens. "Get in." She seethe as they bustle in one by one.

"What the bloody hell was that spell?" Ron asks as Ruby and Hermione roll their eyes at him.

"Alohomora. Standard book of Spells chapter seven." Ruby says as Hermione nods her head agreeing with the Slytherin girl.

"Filch is gone." Hermione says.

"Probably thinks this door is locked." Ron says as Harry agrees with him.

"It was locked." Hermione says.

"Yeah for good reason." Ruby says as the others look at what she's talking about. There is a massively huge three headed dog sleeping in front of them. The dog begins to wake up it growls noticing the intruders.

They all scream as Ruby transforms into her animagus form which is a black kitten. Meanwhile the trio oblivious that Ruby isn't with them anymore they bolt running out of the door. They turn quickly to shut the door and battle against the dog.

Ruby didn't realize that Filch had seen her transform into her kitten and harshly grabbed her by the neck as she began shaking trying to get out of his tight grip. He walks towards the basement which is where potions is at.

"Found her Severus. She was on the third floor." Filch says as Snape looks up to see what Filch is talking about then he sees a black kitten. Automatically knowing who it is. Ruby wasn't one to get into trouble but she's definitely in trouble now. "Aledo cazden." Snape says as that's one of his spells that he made. It transforms a witch or wizard from their animagus form.

When Ruby got forcefully transformed back to her human self. Filch shoves the girl towards Snape which made her trip over her feet because she wasn't expecting it to happen.

"Dismissed." Snape says to Filch who only grinned at Ruby making her glare as he walked out of the room. When Ruby turned back towards Snape all she could see was an angry look on his face. But then it quickly turned into a disappointed look.

"I can--" Ruby said as she was going to explain but Snape glared heavily at her which made her be quiet.

"Ruby what in the bloody hell were you doing there. That is no place for anyone let alone you." He says to her in his cold voice which made her look down at her feet.

"I went walking around the school and um the staircase moved and I didn't realize that when it stopped that it led to the third floor." She says semi-honestly to him but it wasn't the whole truth. She didn't say who she was with.

"We will discuss your punishment in the morning. So bed, now." He says pointing towards the girl's dormitory as Ruby began walking in that direction not saying a word.

"Goodnight." She says softly as she closed the door to her father's classroom. She heard him say something but didn't exactly hear it. So she assumed that he said it back to her.
