Erring From Fate - Part 1

I made and own the art above! I know it's not the best, but I wanted to give everyone a visual. There is also artwork of some of my Warverse characters in my old artbook, some I haven't done digitally just yet, if anyone wants a visual for them. Their clothes might change given that some of the art there is on the older side of things, just a heads up. The one above is Errant, Warverse!Error, but I forgot to put his glasses on him! Whoops, lol. I'm planning on sketching him digitally later on too.

"Erring" is to "Errant" from something. Meaning, to go off path or erring from the proper course or standard. Of course, what "proper" means to someone might mean something else to other people.

Now, I want to gush over something real quick.

Someone on Ko-Fi, a glamour4000 (which that name alone makes me think Mettaton lol), left me 20 dollars! I nearly had a heart attack! And they're message was so sweet, saying that I inspired them!

I made the Ko-Fi account because some people asked me to, but I didn't expect people to actually leave me money you know? There are other ways to show support or how much you enjoyed the stories and what I do, ones that don't cost any money. And if anyone left any money I expected at most 3 dollars, the minimum of what you leave on the site I think. If I make any money off of it I was planning to just save it - either for a rainy day given all the insane things going on, or to put away for the future pretty much. Every little bit helps when it comes to that after all. No one is obligated to give me money given that I do this for fun and pleasure. I might be working on an actual novel that I one day hope to publish for money, but these fanfics here are for fun and made with the hope that others enjoy them along with me. If I happen to inspire someone then it's all the better.

So to have someone actually leave money, and that amount (because while 20 isn't a huge amount, it's sure not little either - I could raid the snack isle or get me a few things with that, hell I could get some cheap groceries with that money! Enough for a few cheap meals if I do it right at least.), it's shocking and honestly almost made me cry. It actually brings me hope that my novel that I'm working on will be published and people will want to buy it. It's also just very flattering that someone said that I inspired them, never mind leaving me money of all things.

I want to give a big thank you to glamour4000 for doing that when you for sure didn't have to. Honestly made my month if not year. You could have just commented on one of my fanfics saying I inspired you and I'd be flattered but you went above that. I plan on thanking you on Ko-Fi eventually but honestly I lose my words when I try to just because of how shocked and flattered it made me feel. Hopefully I can do it soon because I want to thank you for your kind words and donation, especially when you didn't have to do that at all. So, thank you with everything I have! I hope that my stories continue to inspire and I hope that you enjoy more chapters, and stories, to come!

Okay, gushing over for now lol.

I'm happy that everyone liked the little cliffhanger I did last chapter. One comment made me crack up not going to lie. What was it? "Harrish: Surprise Mother Fucker" I think? I'll have to go through the comments to see for sure, but it made me crackle like a cartoon villain when I first read it lol.

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this chapter! Time to get started~

-Chapter Start-

[Warverse: StringsTale]

Two things hit Error like Inky's paint brush slamming up against his face for the billionth, plus a few more billions and millions for good measures, time.

First that someone other than a Sans and Papyrus knew about AUs. About the Multiverse as a whole potentially. Sure, he has had suspicions that others knew about the RESETS, AUs and Multiverses as a whole, but nothing concrete or knowing for sure. This not counting what he did to Swap that is. Having a Grillby come by, tell him a different name than Grillby, and then tell him what AU he is in, all of this is pointing in some weird directions.

And this wasn't even starting on how these Monsters feel like they all have various levels of DETERMINATION in them.

The next thing was that he honestly has no idea about this AU. He has not once heard about or destroyed a StringsTale for however long he's been a glitch or alive. He's lived for a long time and while his more insane days are blurry or missing bits and pieces he's not once heard about StringsTale before. Inky's for sure never came at him for revenge for it or screaming about how he destroyed an AU by that name.

Although, now knowing the name of the place, Error can slowly see why it's called StringsTale. More than one Monster around him had a strings instrument in hand. He's pretty sure more than one Monster used them as a weapon of all things. For all he knew there were more subtle and secret reasons for the AU name as well. Everything is just so confusing! All Error wanted to do is die and he somehow ends up in a whole new AU!

The conclusion?

He has no fucking idea what is going on.

Something isn't adding up here. He's missing pieces to a puzzle. Too many pieces to make sense of anything happening around him. Just how long did he fall for? How far? Did Fate do something? Is he finally fully delusional?

So many questions and no answers. It makes his fingers twitch as he tries not to start scratching his face once more.

Noticing how Conflagration is staring over his shoulder, Error tenses, only to blink in confusion when the Fire Monster chuckles softly.

"There is nothing to worry about stranger." Conflagration assures, not wanting to set the other off. "As a new AU, we have yet to really join any Faction, although some do like to pass through and stop by to listen to our music, so we have no quarrel with anyone. Please, grab your children and join me in my bar. For helping us take down the LOST Monster I want to at least repay you."

Before Error could even say anything, Conflagration had swiftly turned and walked into the building nearby.

'....What the fuck just happened?' Error blinked, confused and bewildered. What was just said to him made no sense whatsoever. "...i hAVE SO manY QuEStiONS...."

At this point he rather just take all that abuse from those blind judges because at least they make some sort of ignorant sense!

[UnstableVerse: Underfell!01]

Standing as tall as he could, he counted down the moments until his brother came home.

Counted until the pain would come.

He hated this. He hated how outside his home he was looked at with fear and even disgust. As if they knew and understood what goes on behind closed doors. As if they knew what his relationship with his brother was, why he worked for the King without a word against it. It frustrated him to no end how everyone has been played by his own brother. How he wasn't even truly his brother anymore. No, at this point, there is no love lost between them. Not any more.

How he had to play this part, a character he wasn't, all for his own brother and as a means to be a step behind the sickening King, made him want to vomit. One who didn't care about him at all and the other whose thoughts don't truly matter to him, it doesn't sound worth it. But he'd do it, if only for the people living in the AU and the copies.

He can't even count on the human child to free them all. Not only is the human a child, they refused to fight! They've died so much that at this point Toriel has locked them into the RUINS with no way out for their own safety. RESETS are not helping matters either when they don't use it to figure out how to defeat anyone. They just use it as a way to try and keep talking others down from fighting. Yes, it's possible to fight with words and sometimes words can harm more than fists, but not everyone can be talked through. Sometimes compromises are not an option. Sometimes you have to think about other forms of mercy to get what is needed.

Sometimes, you have to fight to be able to achieve peace and protect it. In this AU of kill or be killed, strength is prized and while mercy is needed, he has a feeling they need a different kind of mercy than one that only has sweet, kind words. While he does hate the Queen for fleeing and not fighting for them all, he can respect her goal of protecting the human child. At least he doesn't have to worry about said child running around and possibly ruining any plans and plots he makes.

Sighing, rubbing his face, he mentally wondered what he has to do to make it so his AU and copies are truly safe from harm. His brother had left days ago saying he was going to save their AU of all things, which is laughable given that they are more in danger of their own King than anyone else in this stars-forsaken Multiverse--

BANG!

"FELL!"

'Here we go once more.' Breathing in, Fell steeled himself and forced his hands to stop trembling. Straightening up, he opened his bedroom door and strolled out. Walking down the stares, he mentally frowned at the sight of Red, the damned name that Sans demanded he be called by from now on, stumbling in. Drunk off his ass once more.

For that reason alone, he didn't say anything as he walked down into the living room. A drunk Red was too unpredictable. The last time he was drunk he summoned a Gaster Blaster right in the house and threatened to shoot him with it. Almost did if he didn't pass out not even a few seconds later. Locking himself in his room won't help either, drunk or not, when Red can just teleport in or destroy the door. Best to just keep silent and take whatever is dished out.

"Hahaha~!" Slurring out a laugh, Red stumbles in. "Ssshhhittt! The parties are soooo fuckin' epic!"

'If nothing else, when drunk, I get information out of him.' Fell tried to look at what little positives there were. During all the abuse, while drunk, Red has no filter at all. It's how Fell learned a lot about the Multiverse as a whole - and learned how to keep his mouth shut about knowing what he does. For some weird reason, he has been put in this mold he is forced to be in. Breaking that mold will just bring more pain in the long run at the moment.

Sometimes, the pain that is to come is worth it if he can get good information out of it. Anything to help himself with his goals.

Besides, fighting back when he has nowhere to run to afterwards is suicide. If he was injured enough it'd be signing his own death warrant. Not only does Undyne want her spot back as captain, more than willing to kill him for it, but Alphys might see it as easy pickings for her experiments, like hunting for mice to test on.

"But-ha, we finalllllly did it!" Red laughed, nearly falling flat on his face, having to catch himself on the coffee table. "Finally got that fucker! No more destruction herrrre!"

Fell's thoughts grinded to a screeching halt.

'Did....Did Red just say what I think he just said?' It's only Fell's vagarious self-training that stopped him from gapping and going wide eyed. Feeling his SOUL speed up, Fell wanted to roar out in anger.

He may not know the Destroyer personally. No, he's only seen him a few times and even then they never truly interacted. The most Fell has ever done was distracted Red so the other could get away. He has nothing against the other truly. So what if he kills and destroys? Fell does that on a smaller scale daily.

No, what really pissed him off is the simple fact that Red is more than willing to go out and fight a well known powerful Monster in some kind of effort to "protect" their AU, but won't even stand up to do anything else within the AU. Red can play the victim well, Fell knows that. Manipulation is simple for him, unlike Fell. So why doesn't Red go complain to his Multiverse friends about the King and all others who are a danger to their AUs and get rid of them for the sake of the innocent? Why not stand up and fight for them?

Is it because to others, they are not innocent because of the LV and blood staining their hands? Because they have no choice but to fight? To see mercy as something different? To seeing fighting as something different?

Or is it because of Red's lies? Because they see Fell as the true villain in the original Underfell? The villain of Red's life?

'I wonder-'

CRACK

Going with the sudden item being thrown at his face, doing his best to ignore the pain blooming on his face and spreading, he twists his body as to make the impact less harmful to his body. Grimacing at the pain as he tumbles down. Face on the hard full, he slowly turns his head an inch to see that a glass mug had been thrown at him. Face twitching, Fell bit back any noises of pain he may have made at the stinging and stabbing pain in his face. He knew from experience that there are pieces of glass in his face now.

"Di-Did you know that I told the others that you-ah...you bit me with your fucking teeth? That you fucking enjoy me being in pain and get off on it?" Red hiccupped, chuckling. Fell listens to him stumble, biting his tongue when he feels a sharp kick to his side. "T-They're so fucking gullible! Like you can fucking do shiiiiit to me! You're the whiny little bitch, not me! Heh, come on, cry bitch!"

Another sharp kick, right where his recently healed ribs where. At times like this, Fell wishes that he was able to learn how to properly heal. But needs are a must, and what works, works.

'I wonder if they knew how Red truly was,' Fell slowly thought, trying to will the pain away as he felt more kicks and a rib slowly cracking. 'Would they be so quick to change their tune? Or go into denial and blind themselves to the truth?'

Chancing a glance to where Red stood, Fell mentally knew it was going to be a long 'session' when he saw Red summoning a bone.

'Just stay still and take. One day, it'll all be worth it.'

If he keeps reminding himself of his duty, his love, for his AU, it's copies, and those who do no deserve the kind of life they live within this world of Kill or be Killed, then he'll make it through this.

He always does.

[Unstableverse: Nightmare's Hideout]

"Lookin' good, bro!"

Snorting quietly, tugging at the sweater that honestly looks like a dress on him, glancing down at the pant legs rolled up to fit him, Swap could only tilt his head to look up at Fresh with a faint glint of amusement in his tired eyes. "Thanks, Fresh."

"No prob." Fresh grins, leaning back on the wooden chair he was sitting on. Swap shakes his head, letting his eyes wonder around what might be the dinning room. Huge windows lining one wall, a chandelier hanging above them, a long dinning table that's not shocking to see in a castle of all things, everything having a fine and elegant, if not gothic, look to it. Then, there is Killer standing by one of the doors, playing with a knife and leaning against the wall, waiting for Nightmare. Swap has never actually personally saw Nightmare before. Heard about him from Error, yes. Saw him through a portal in the Anti-VOID while kidnapped, yes. But never personally met one another.

Even if this is the case, Swap knows he has nothing to fear. Ironic given who he is meeting.

Before his thoughts could go on, the door opens.

"Ah, I see our guests are comfortable." Nightmare comments, walking into the room. "Good job, Killer." He states, giving the Monster a nod. "Go out and wait for Horror or Cross." He then orders. Killer gives a mock salute, going out the door and shutting it behind him.

"Wha's up, my radical night terror!" Fresh greets, waving from his seat.

"Fresh, I had thought we would see you soon. I've heard you have a plan of some sort?" Nightmare's face doesn't even twitch as he sits down from across from them, inclining his head towards Swap. "You must be Swap, from Underswap!01. Error talked fondly about you."

Dryly gulping, Swap slowly says, "Yes."

If he had any more tears in him, Swap is sure he'd start sobbing at the reminder. It's one thing to think it, it's another for someone to say it. A lovely reminder that he was important to Error, that Error in some way did care about him and thought of him fondly. It hurts, like putting salt in a wound. If he had time he's sure it might heal, but the Multiverse has a time limit that's ticking.

"As you ar-were one of Error's, you are welcomed here." Nightmare's face finally moves, softening in a way yet having this edge to it. Something that Swap can't pin down at the moment. "I may not be Error, however until the end I will make sure to do my best to protect you from harm just as I will do so for all others under my shadows and power." A deadly glint gleams in Nightmare's eyes. "However, I will not stop you if you wish to help us gain our vengeance. I can tell by the cold and blank face you wear, by how I can't feel you, that you are past the point of pretending like many others do in this dying Multiverse. So long as you do not betray me and mine, have your fill."

There might be a time limit, yet looking at Nightmare, Swap right then and there decides that before everything crumbles and destroys itself, he's going to make the others who have done this pay in some way or another. What else is there for him to do with everything now close and closer to the end?

"Tha's wha' brought me here, bruh!" Fresh brightly says, gaining Nightmare's attention. "I gots us a most tubular plan!"

"The last time we went through a plan you had, we had set five AUs ablaze, three of those AUs under water which it should have been impossible to even set them on fire, and another nine drowning in DIY glitter slime. Which, by the way, I still have no idea how you made those within a few days or got them." Nightmare blankly told Fresh, making Swaps' eyes widen an inch at these facts. "You are chaos when you plot, even if the plots go off the rails you just change it up and roll with it. If I was in any other position I would refuse outright given the stakes in this." Nightmare pauses, Fresh just keeps his bright grin. Then, the dark Monster sighs. "We need more than a bit of chaos. While insane and with tons of risks, your plans have a habit of working in some weird way. Besides," Nightmare gives a dark chuckle. "We are all to die. why not go out with a bang? Sure, Fresh, I will at least hear you out before deciding if it is worth the effort. Impress me, parasite."

"I can do more than tha', broski!" Fresh laughs, leaning on the table. Grin turning savage. It shocks Swap a bit how effortlessly Fresh can show emotions even while being Soulless.

"We gotta start this right away, but this is a long-con." Fresh chuckles, looking delighted despite the fact that he can't feel a thing at the moment. "Covers all those bases ya might want; killing some unrad a-holes, messin' with people's noggins, divin' the whole place into panic, makin' it so that others break off from wha' ever they dealin' with, and--" Fresh's grin grows sharper. "--makin' a certain controlling wack-job out of the job and so much more."

Nightmare hums, a slow, almost animal-like grin growing on his face. "Oh, you have me intrigued now." He chuckles, leaning onto one hand, the other tapping the table. "You don't just plot to have my group do all this, do you?" He asks, a gleam in his eyes.

"Nah. Swap's a big part of it--" Swap sharply glances to Fresh, but doesn't say a work, more than a bit interested but willing to wait and hear it all out. "--and so are ya all. But there are others out there in similar spots like ya or Swap. They just need a good push before they can take a stand or do somethin' is all."

"Are you sure about that?"

"The Multiverse is a big place." Fresh points out with a grin. "They might be actin' like hosers or pretenders, wearin' some masks, but they're out there. With everythin' goin' downhill soon, some are going to pop up. Just gotta let them do the rest. No matter what they end up doin', they'll be helping us out with the chaos."

"I see." Nightmare hums, looking Fresh up and down with a glint. "Then, please Fresh, tell me more."

"Orange~"

Shivering, hiding under the blankets of his bed, Orange held back the tears that wanted to come out, mouth behind his hands in fear of letting whimpers come out.

'Please think I'm asleep! Please, please, think I'm asleep!' Orange mentally prayed to anyone listening.

"Awww~? My Orange Papy is asleep~?" Orange listens to the soft voice, fear crawling up his spine. He holds in a gulp when he hears shuffling, breathing soon heard above him. "So lazy! How lazy can you even be, Orange? Humph! Such a bad little brother I got, can't do anything right!" A sigh. "But, as long as he stays in the house~" Giggling. "Lazy can be good, just like he's supposed to be~! Don't worry, Orange, sleep as much as you want~"

Steps start sounding out, heading away from him.

"Be a good boy, Orange~ I'd hate to punish you again~ Dream of me~"

~click~

Only after a few long moments after the door shuts does Orange finally let the tears fall, stuffing his hand in his mouth to stifle the sobs wanting to come out. Curling up into a ball, Orange trembled.

Not for the first time and not for the last time, Orange wishes he had the strength, that he was strong enough, to leave.

Sadly, he and his brother know all too well how weak he truly is. He's not brave, he's not strong, he's not powerful. Too weak, too weak. Too weak to run, too weak to fight. Why does he love his brother? Because he's such a good brother to someone so worthless, right? That has to be it, right? Why is his brother so.... Why is he like this? Surely he has a reason? Yeah, because Orange knows he's such a bad brother, that's why. If Orange wasn't so bad, then his brother wouldn't have to do or say those things. It's all his fault is all!

'I'll do better! I'm sorry!' Orange mentally apologizes, weakling clutching onto his sheets with a trembling hand. Conflicting thoughts swirling around, Orange just wants it all to stop and end.

Not for the first time and not for the last time, Orange cries himself to sleep, having nightmares about Blueberry, his own brother. The soft, gentle voice bringing nothing but fear, worse once the voice changes in anger. Shivering, curled up tight, Orange sobs in his sleep.

[Unstableverse: ??????]

"Because, Karma, sometimes family is a choice." Destiny softly tells the smaller deity, running a hand through her short, curly dark purple hair, making sure not to tug on it. "Not all families are nice, not all are healthy. Sometimes, one shouldn't be or have a family. Sadly, those are the ones lucky enough to gain family only to break it themselves."

"It's almost strange how much abuse there is! Do you think that Fate fated this or just let it happen on accident, saw it, and just went 'Oh since it's not about my little baby I don't care'?" Chaos blinks down at the large pound, looking into the water down into the Multiverse. "You'd think that more people would notice how many red flags there are."

"Not all abuse is physical. It comes in many shapes and forms. Some visible, some subtle, some nearly impossible to see." Logic states, sky blue eyes slowly looking around, running a hand through her medium length brown hair. "Just looked at our 'family' for example."

"True!" Chaos laughs, her butterflies fluttering all around her as some new ones crawl out one eye socket. Grabbing some twinkling falling stars coming out of the same eye socket, gently plucking a flower out of her skull with her free hand, Chaos grins. "Empathy, how are things on your end?"

"Slow." The shy deity admits with a sigh. Pushing up her glasses, she gives a small smile. "Some are easier to get through, for they are not in denial or purposefully being ignorant. Even Ink isn't truly, maybe denial but not truly ignorant beyond saving, but Fate...well..." Her cherry red eyes glance away, blue bobbed length hair swaying a bit as she turns her head a bit.

"My brother truly does not wish any 'pain' on the one he sees as his only child." Destiny sighs out, shaking her head slowly and sadly.

"I-Ink's ba-bad kar-karma wi-will br-break h-him of wh-what Fa-Fate did. I tu-turned it in-into a-an ad-advantage." Karma stutters out. "N-Not al-all kar-karma is b-bad, s-so he'll li-live throu-through it, but i-it wo-won't be ni-nice."

"Thank you for this, Karma." Destiny softly thanks, before giving everyone else a kind smile as well. "Thank you everyone, for doing this along with me."

"No trouble~" Chaos laughs, waving off the thanks. "Fate is getting too high on his pedestal anyway. If he thinks he can keep messing with the little chaos makers, then he has another thing coming! Besides, our more war filled counterparts are helping out too more than likely, even if they don't know it. Make us look bad if we didn't do the same, right?"

"We don't even know who or what our counterparts are, if we even have any." Logic rolled her eyes before turning to glance at Destiny. "Did you get any others to help out?"

"Greed has agreed actually." Destiny admits, giggling softly at the looks this gets. "He was most amused by it all, taking to think it as one big heist, stealing what Fate holds dear."

"He's not technically wrong." Empathy agrees with a smile. "He always wanted to steal something from Fate. Now he can in a way."

"I got Abyss to agree to help us out." Chaos says next, gaining shocked and horrified looks. "...What?" Chaos blinks, pushing up her glasses. "He's not that bad."

"Abyss is not a good person, but he is a man of his word." Destiny softly says, calming down any worry. "He seems to be fond of Chaos as well, or at least amused, so he is more likely to favor her over Fate."

"I swear, he's going to devour the whole Multiverse in the end." Logic snorts, crossing her arms. "But I do see why you asked him for help. Not everyone is like Error, able to be fine after going through the VOID and ABYSS. With being scattered across time and space, then devoured bit by bit in the everlasting darkness, it'll take it's toll but at least with us and Abyss not taking every bit of them, we'll be able to make it work." Shaking her head softy, she goes on. "There is a reason for the saying 'When you look into the abyss, the abyss looks back'. I suppose there is a reason why Chaos of all people was able to gain his attention and get his agreement for some kind of help."

"Hey! I'm great at convincing others! Why do you think so much insane things happen in this Multiverse? Sure, both good and bad things happen, but I can twist this in our favor no matter what." Chaos says with a pout.

"You're also great at starting insanity in general, never mind disagreements. At times there is logic to you, most of the time not. Sometimes I want to strangle you." Logic openly admits, gaining laughter from Chaos.

Sighing with a fond, motherly smile, Destiny shakes her head. Patting Karma's head softly she goes on to tell the others, "I am thinking of getting a few others as well to help us, but I fear some will side with Fate no matter what."

"Wrath will help me out, no issue." Chaos states happily. "She won't admit it, but she likes me way too much to fight me. Besides, she's been waiting for so long to punch Fate out!"

"I don't know about Lust, she could go either way." Empathy tells them all with a sigh. "She does have a fondness for all the Underlust's and Lust himself--"

"She outright laughed when he started going by her name." Logic chimes in with a small snort.

"--but she's not one to pick any sides unless she feels like she has to."

"Do not worry, I will look into it." Destiny assures. "Now, Chaos, are you ready for when Fate makes his move? Karma, are you ready?" She softly asks, giving a gentle, warm smile.

"Don't worry, Sister Destiny, I'm more than ready!" Chaos laughs, her butterflies fluttering around with the blue ones, some stars and flowers in her hands with some stars and petals fall to the ground around her. "Fate is messing with the wrong deity, but at least this way I can give back to my most chaotic child I can claim."

"I-I-I'm re-ready!" Karma trembles, but looks up at Destiny with determination. With some magic, a lotus forms in one hand, her other arm holding a notebook close to her chest. "I-I'm s-s-s-so ha-happy I ca-can gi-give b-back to hi-him. I-It mi-might hu-hurt a lo-lot, bu-but he'll ge-get what he al-always wi-wished for a-at the end i-if th-this pla-plays out ri-right..." Karma bits her lip, looking worried.

Destiny gives a smile, softly patting her head. Then she looks up at everyone, an edge to her kind smile.

"Now, we wait for the moment to strike. Please, everyone, be careful while snapping Fate's threads."

[Warverse: StringsTale]

Sitting at the bar on a stool, glancing at larger stools that looked like giants could fit on them, with two children on his lap while trapped in some sort of anomaly or delusion was not how Error thought his day would be going. Ever.

Really, at his age and point in his life he should expect this crazy shit happening to him daily. just another tally on how he's lived through the craziest things. He just has a deep feeling that this might be the most craziest thing he will ever live through. And coming from someone who has forgotten their own age because of how old they are, that's saying something.

Chancing a glance to the little stage setup in the building, Error could admit that the people going up to play their strings instruments are good at it. It's....It's very relaxing. It's been a long time since he has heard music or even gotten to play any of his instruments he had stolen long ago. Seeing Null and Void in his lap, humming along to the music, helped too.

'How long has it been since I just....relaxed? With no worries?' Error asked himself with a low snort. He knew the answer to that; never. Not even now. How can he? Unknowns everywhere and surrounding him. Besides, Fate will never allow him such a thing. Why bother even thinking about it anymore? This setting and music must be effecting him worse than he thought.

"Here you go, stranger." Twitching and glitching slightly, Error narrows his eyes at the sight of a bowl of fruit being placed down in front of him. This was....strange. He thought most places served more unhealthy kinds of foods, at least from what he could tell from when Swap complained about Muffet's place in his AU, no matter if it was ran by a Muffet or a Grillby. He's seen a lot of brothers complain about how unhealthy it was in any case, but what did he know? A lot of food he can't even taste anymore, although he hasn't eaten in years so there really is no point in it all.

Conflagration smiles at him, much to his growing confusion. "You look like you need food in you. The children as well." The Fire Monster explains, pushing the bowl gently towards the newcomer.

It's obvious that this guy has not once ever seen the two, which is fitting in what Error can tell from their pasts. Whoever the hell 'He' is probably locked them up good and tight. Error has a thought it might be the Gaster of this AU, or whatever hell name he might have, but with how things are so weird here he could be wrong. But, no matter who it is, if word spreads about Skeleton Monsters being here, which he wouldn't be shocked given how rare they tend to be in an AU never mind how Error looks weird in general, then he might come running to get back his little test subjects

Error welcomes him to try it. They might not be his, but they're under his protection until he finds a suitable place and family for them.

Plotting potential murders, Error shuffles a bit closer to the bar counter, hefting the children up higher in his hold so they can reach the berries. Little hands slowly lift towards the bowl, weary eyes looking around, but one glance up to Error, who nods, makes them swiftly start grabbing and shoving them in their mouths. Snorting softly, Error stiffens when he notices Conflagration still staring at him.

"Ah, forgive me." Conflagration apologizes once he had been caught staring. "It is just....Well, you feel very different. And how you look appearance wise...." He trails off, humming for a moment. "You must be like Fatal Hope then?" He seems to ask himself. "You do not have the feel, the air, like all of us. The LV and EXP is there, but not the DETERMINATION or similar air. Even Fatal Hope is more similar...Ah, forgive me for rambling." He chuckles, waving a hand softly. "I shouldn't assume of course, but I must ask; are you from a different Multiverse?"

It's as if Error was splashed with cold acid again. Cold yet burning all at the same time.

"Fatal Hope is also from a different Multiverse; a genderfluid Skeleton Monster." Conflagration goes on explaining, grabbing some cups and putting some juice in them. "We just saw them. Nearly the whole AU had went to a local tournament and we were lucky enough to see them fight, along with Errant and Brazen. And with how you looked so similar to Fatal Hope's younger, well, I suppose brother as they have claimed him, how old you seem and other factors, you must not be from here." Conflagration sits down the cups, chuckling softly when little juiced stained hands reach for them. "You feel like destruction, and I only truly know one Monster who feels like that here, and you're not him."

Too much.

Glitching harshly, Error's mind slowly became more of a mess as this new information enters his mind.

'No.' Error tells himself, 'This is impossible. Inky is playing another trick on me, Fate has decided to punish me in a new weird way!' There is no way in hell that he somehow ended up in a new Multiverse. No way. It doesn't make any sense! None of this makes any sense! Monsters with determination inside of them? LOST Monsters? A Monster, other than himself if this Fire Monster is to be believed, from another Multiverse?

None of it makes any sense! It's all too much for Error. First he tried to kill himself after seeing how most of the Multiverse didn't want or need him. Then he finds out that even the VOID can't do him in and ends up in this strange ass AU with a very weird and strange ass 'LOST Monster' or whatever the hell it's called, he still has no idea what it even was by the way. Then he has this Grillby going by a different name telling him he is in a different Multiverse more than likely.

Either someone found a poison or toxin that actually effects him, making him delusional, Fate's playing some horrible trick on him, Inky has some sort of plot, or he's actually in a different Multiverse.

'No. Nonononononono--' Pulling the two children tighter to his chest, static filling his head, Error bite back a scream that wanted to tear through his mouth. He slips on his usual tight control over his aurora and power, some destruction pulsing out in a natural defense and warning as he tries to make some sort of sense to it all. Never noticing how the everyone besides Null and Void tense, as if more than ready to fight if it comes down to it.

'Too much! Too much! There's no actual proof, this could just be a weird ass AU with some weird ass knowledge is all, maybe more than one AU in an area! But, he mentioned someone that looked like me? Did Fate make another dest--'

"Oh."

Tensing, eyes going wide as his thoughts grind to a screeching halt, Error slowly turns his head. Breathe leaving him when he sees who is at the entrance.

Slightly shorter in height.

Same mismatched eyes behind familiar big red, round glasses, just with a different feel and tone to it.

Marks running down the face, looking like tears for the whole Multiverse to see.

Different clothes, but similar colors.

Different but similar.

Familiar but not.

It's like looking into a weird mirror.

There, standing in the entrance, was a glitch. An error. A counterpart.

A counterpart.

Error has had fears about Fate making another version of him. Taking a poor Monster, painfully forming them into a glitch, forcing them to take so much abuse it'll break anyone. He wouldn't wish it on anyone, not even Ink. He never once wanted to meet a counterpart of himself. Even if it's more likely he'd be dead, something he wants more than anything, he wouldn't wish his job on anyone, much less the pain and torture that comes with it. Seems he got it in a way. At the moment he can't tell if this is a better or worse way than what his dark thoughts showed him.

His counterpart's face is perfectly blank as he walks into the bar. No emotions in his eyes and his voice, while having a slight glitching or static undertone, was monotone and more stable than his own.

For a single moment, Error forgot to breath. Forgot to think. Forgot to do anything but stare at a version of himself without horrible injuries, face not even showing a lick of intentions or emotions and dressed casually with so many pins and broaches on his clothes.

'Fate....what are you plotting now....' Error numbly thought to himself, watching his counterpart open his mouth. 'This....This shouldn't be possible!'

"You're why I felt destruction here."

Proof, proof he can't push aside, of him being in another Multiverse is staring him right in the face.

'I really am in a different Multiverse! How in the fuck did this happen to me?!'

-End Chapter-

Here it is! I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter? I hope so because I enjoyed writing it a lot!

We're slowly getting to see more and more Warverse characters~! Soon a lot more will be introduced too. Hope everyone likes them lol. They were a lot of fun to make, design and personalize. Warverse is still being built on as time goes on, so some things are subject to change, but overall I'm beyond proud of my Warverse! Even if more than a few characters are insane lol.

If no one can tell, the deities are all based on my various OCs! All expect for Destiny and Fate that is - the others are all based on OCs that I've created, both new and old. I wonder if any can guess who is who? I know some of you will get some wrong given how new they are, some of the later ones that will show up I might not have even used yet, but others can be easy to figure out if you've read some of my non-Undertale stories lol. It's fine if no one can see them, you'll find out as time goes on in any case.

Anyway, happy early Halloween to those who celebrate it! I hope everyone has a nice and safe one out there. Try not to get too many cavities and make sure not to die of fright!
