[A/N: Welcome to the second part of Rewinding Time! I'm back...Don't forget to play the media for more effects. Here's what happened last time:
-Sasuke left the village
-Naruto left the village to train with Jiraiya but came back after a year
-Sakura stays in the village and trains with Tsunade
-Sai left the team and Kakashi is nowhere to be found
-Team 7 is sent after Sasuke but fails
-Sakura went out of the village with Kami and Rushifa to train her powers and met Machigai (mistake)
-Naruto is controlled by Kurama and almost killed Jiraiya and Kushina
-Sai travels with Yamato to find his purpose of being alive.
It is a 2-year time skip too so everyone is now older, yay!]

"This time, the village you'll be going to is Sunagakure. You will be training the medics there since Suna is heavily based on offense not on the healing side. Now, do you understand? Report back within 2 months or else I will personally come to get you, Sakura." Said Minato sternly. "Hai, Hokage-sama." Replied Sakura as she sweat-drops at the Hokage's behavior.

She sighs and decided to ask the lingering question she's got on the back of her mind for a while. "Umm...Hokage-sama?" She began. Minato raises an eyebrow back at her. "For the last time, call me Minato. I'm not that old, Sakura." He smiles as she ruffles her hair. "Ask away." He added.

"Well...I wanted to know why Sai left the team..." she asks quietly. Minato's eyes softened. He breaths in and sighs. "He left because he needs more time finding himself....you can leave too, Sakura..." he whispers the last part. "B-But...we could've helped him—" she was cut off.

"I know...I feel the same way...but it's his choice, not ours. He didn't want to burden you guys anymore." He replied while biting his lips. Sakura looks away sadly. Minato pats her on the back. "Now, go complete that mission." He encourages with a grin that kind of resembles Naruto. Sakura smiles back and nods.

She walks out of the office and was surprised to see Naruto walking by. He seems to notice her too and walks towards her. "Hey, Sakura-Chan! Wanna go have some Ichiraku ramen?" He asked since he thinks that she's sad. "I can't since I need to be packing for a solo mission to Otogakure." Explained Sakura.

"Ah...that's why. Do you want to hear the full story though, Sakura-Chan? I know this because Sai was the one who caught Sasuke leaving, Dattebayo."

"Of course, I'd like to hear the truth! So please tell me, Naru!" Exclaimed Sakura happily. "Alright." Said Naruto as he chuckles at her actions. "So, Sasuke left because he wanted to train his powers and the only solution for him is to go for Orochimaru." He paused for a moment.

"He doesn't want to abandon the village so he told baa-san about his plan and she agreed. That's all." He replied. Sakura stared into space in deep thought. "Thanks, Naru. I need to blow some steam with a mission." Said Sakura who disappears in a whirlwind of cherry blossoms leaving Naruto alone. He clenches his fists.

'Why does she alway care about him..? He was a jerk....what about...me? Can't you see, Sakura...?' His hair shadows his eyes as his mood just decreased. Now he's alone since Sai left the team. 'It's unfair....' he thought. 'Life isn't fair, kit.' Kurama comforted him. "Whatever." He got up and ran straight towards Jiraiya who was, as usual, doing his 'research' by staring at naked women in the bath.

"THERE IS A PERVERT LOOKING INTO THE HOT SPRINGS!" Naruto screamed with all his might. Jiraiya's heart dropped and cracked into pieces as the women in the bath screamed and ran to cover their bodies.

A vein popped on his forehead. "You little—" Naruto gives him a grin. "Piece of shit? Yeah, I know, gramps." His grin fell. Jiraiya raises an eyebrow. Feeling worried for Naruto, he dropped his research and sat down next to him. "What's wrong, Naruto?" The atmosphere is suddenly...sad and lonely.

"Nothing...I'm feeling guilty because of how many times I have lied to everyone...saying that I'm fine when I'm actually not." Naruto punches the ground without even adding chakra. Large cracks started to appear one by one, each of them signifying his lies to everyone. There were over 100 cracks.

"Naruto...tell them...apologize." Jiraiya told Naruto in a soothing tone reminding Naruto of when everyone was together. Small droplets of tears started to fall from his eyes. Bit by bit until he started to silently cry.

'I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. I messed up. Please..oh god...please forgive me...all of you.' His body shivered with each quite sobs. Jiraiya patted him on the back. 'Please....forgive me....everyone...' he repeated over and over again.

(A/N: I have a feeling that this story is filled with a lot of sadness, grief, and regrets. Most likely a psychological story.)

It's been more than 2 years after her death. He stood in front of her grave. A Sakura tree grew a few centimeters away from it. It was spring. The petals rocked back and forth as the wind pushes its way through the air. "Sakura...." for some reason, he feels himself crying.

He can't move on from her. He just...can't...Naruto is just like a broken record player, always stuck in that one spot, repeating it over and over. His love for her never died out. He wanted to kill himself but he remembered that he promised her that he will die of natural causes. He bit the bottom of his lips.

Naruto wanted to scream out to the world. He wanted to tell the world that it made a mistake killing her. But then again, it was his fault that she died. She died defending both him and Sasuke. He looks down on his hands. Naruto swore that he can still smell her blood on his hands. He was a murderer. He killed her.

He doesn't deserve to live. She should've lived, not him. Naruto got down to both his knees and cried his heart out. "Please forgive me...Sakura-Chan." The rain started pouring even if it's in the middle of the day.

"Sassssukee-kunn..." hissed the snake Sanin. Sasuke has changed a lot. He grew taller and he is more brooding and boring than ever. "Hn?" He grunted while a small snake crawled up to his shoulder and sat comfortably on it. "It'ssss time for you to work on your agility and ssssee how quick you can react to kunais being thrown at you." Said Orochimaru as he grabs Sasuke's hand and drags him to a secluded room filled with glass.

Translation: What?

"Kabuto here will activate the machine and send kunaissss towardsss you." He said sternly as he motioned Kabuto to activate it. "I ssshall go attend my dutiesss as the Otokage...fufufufu..." he slithered —not literally—away leaving Kabuto and Sasuke alone. "Alright, Sasuke-Kun. I'm going to count to 3 so get ready." Kabuto Announced.

"Aa." He said and got ready by cracking his knuckles.

Translation: I'm born ready.

"1, 2...3!" He pressed the button and more than 20 kunais have been shot out of the machinery and it went straight towards Sasuke from all directions. Sasuke activated his Mangekyou and quickly dodged it. However, his eyes started to hurt as he used it excessively. He remembered what Sakura told him about overusing his Sharingan.

"If you overuse it, you could go blind!" Was her words. It rang in his head. It echoed in his mind. Nihilanth laughed mockingly. 'You're going to be blind, Sasuke-Chan~ And no one will help you. You can't heal blindness...not yet, at least...' 'Shut your goddamn mouth up, demon.' He was tired of him. Sasuke was so so tired of how many times he was being mocked by someone who is in chains inside his head.

His visions are blurry. Oh god, was he going blind? Sasuke can't tell what is happening. The kunais were suddenly blurry. Everything was blurry. He can't even see his own hand. Fuck, fuck. He was going blind. He lost consciousness. Uchiha Sasuke has officially gone blind. Nihilanth smiled.

He woke up after a few minutes, unable to see anything. Kabuto sighed. "You overused it." He told him. "Fuck....could you replace my eyes with somebody else's?" He pleaded. Kabuto is surprised since UCHIHA SASUKE never begs for anyone to help him even if he's on the brink of death.

"I cannot do that. Unless you assassinate an Uchiha and take out their eyeballs in order to replace your old ones but if the procedure goes wrong, you can only see from one eye." He explained briefly while flipping a kunai around.

For a moment, Sasuke swore just heart stopped. He can't kill his family. What will he do now? Of course, now that he's blind, his other senses are stronger. "I...I need to go see someone who can fix my eyes." With that, he left without hitting a wall at all due to his control of his chakra despite him being not as good as Sakuras.

He ran and ran, full speed ahead towards Konoha. Even if it takes days. He ran and somehow made it in 4 hours. Luckily, Sakura was still there. However, his chakra is dangerously low. It's even lower than a caterpillar!

"W..Where is...Sakura...?" He asked Naruto. Sasuke could sense his chakra from a mile away. By this point, his eyes are bleeding. "S-Sasuke-Teme?! What are you doing here? Why are your eyes bleeding?! Why—" He was cut off by Sasuke's hand...Sasuke's bloody hand.

"BRING SAKURA HERE." For the first time, Naruto heard Sasuke raise his voice. Without any hesitation, Naruto dashes straight for the hospital where Sakura is treating a patient. "Sakura-chan..." he quietly called out, not wanting to wake up the patient.
"What is it, Naru?" She tilted her head.

But then, she saw Sasuke's eyes and low chakra capacity. "Bring him to the emergency room. His chakra level is too low!" she began to panic. Naruto carried Sasuke bridal-style and ran straight towards the room with Sakura not too far behind him.

The procedure went by smoothly but...Sasuke is permanently blind now. Sakura decided to call for Itachi. She wrote a quick letter and sent it to Katsuyu in order for the slug yo deliver the message. Itachi appeared in front of her in a flash leaving small crows behind him.

"What happened, Sakura-san?" He froze when he saw Sasuke. He was hurt badly and his eyes are gone. "I managed to remove his eyes before it gets infected, however, I do not know whether you are willing to donate one of your eyes to him or not." The atmosphere is dark. Everyone was nervous.

"Of course, I will do anything for my Otoutou!" Itachi said with a nervous tone. "Let the procedure begin." But she was stopped by Sasuke's hand who gripped her wrist signaling for her not to do it. "Don't. I deserve this." Sasuke said hoarsely.

Everyone was shocked. "Give me a white cloth." He dismisses Itachi's horrified look. Naruto hands it to him. "Don't speak too loud too since my ear is going to be more sensitive." He looked—no, turned his head—towards Naruto.

"Are you going to be alright?" Sakura asked feeling concerned for her teammate. "I'll be fine." He jumped  up of the window and ran straight back towards Orochimaru's base leaving a heavy atmosphere behind.

Sai sneezed while showering in the waterfall. "You could catch a cold. C'mon, let's wrap things up and travel to Harutokagure (soaring sun village) next." Said Yamato as he wrapped a towel around his waist. "Mm..." Sai got up and copied Yamato. He dressed himself up and took out his sketchbook. He started drawing his family photo that consists of Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto.

'Sakura-san...I'll help you during your journey...' he thought and went straight to Harutokagure with Yamato leading. "Yamato-Taicho, how long will it take to go to the village?" He asked thinking back to how that memory appeared. "In a couple days." And with that, their conversation ended.

It took exactly 2 days to get there. Haruto is an extremely pacifistic village, everyone was happy. However, they kept on talking about 'Haruto', the god that protects this village.

"E-Excuse me...can you perhaps...tell us about this Haruto?" Yamato asked. Sai gazed around and for a second, he saw a figure that looked like some sort of dragon. That figure was smiling at him. He has to investigate this village. Sai has a feeling that this was only the surface.

Sakura ran for the sake of her life. She ran to Sunagakure, the village hidden in the sand. She made it in a couple hours, almost completely drained of her chakra. Gaara was waiting impatiently outside the gates. "You are 5 hours late." He grumbled while sighing. "You do know that I'm impatient, right Sakura-san?" He shook his head in disappointment.

Sakura just slowly moved back and smiled. "Yeah...I got sidetracked helping a..friend, Panda." Gaara raised his non-existent eyebrows. His mossy eyes stared right into her emerald ones, questioning who that friend was. "It was Sasuke." She said bluntly. Gaara was shocked out of his mind.

"I...I thought he left the village? Why was he in your care..?" Before Sakura could answer, Temari walked over. "Hey, girlfriend! My little brother right here has been waiting all this time for you." She winked while wiggling her eyebrows. Gaara is jealous since he is the only one to not have eyebrows.

He sometime imagine himself with one but quickly dismissed it. "Did you know that he's now the leader of this village, Sakura?" Kankuro walked over holding some blueprints for his upcoming projects. "Wait—really?! I didn't know that. Oh god! Sorry for addressing you so comfortably." She went on a rant.

"Sakura-san...you're my friend and once again, I'm not that old." He said while trying to give a smile but it turned out to be a murderous grin instead. "Ahem," he clears his throat. "Let me escort you to the medical facilities that are currently lacking in doctors." With that, she started working as a teacher in Sunagakure's hospital.

It was 7 hours after she arrived. She was exhausted! Sakura is glad to know that all the doctors know the anatomy and basic stuff regarding being a doctor. She walked towards the ramen stand and this reminds her of when Sai first tried ramen. She smiled softly.

After finishing her food, she noticed a run-down shack that has the sign 'Your fortune will be read'. Haruno Sakura shrugs her shoulders and went inside to test out her fortune. 'I mean...it couldn't be that bad, right...?' She thought. And old woman sat at the other end of the table.

"You...you were chosen by god...to save this world...I must warn you that...that...a lot of sacrifices will be needed during the war. Only 10 Konoha ninjas will survive...the others...are dead. You cannot change that." She told Sakura who was in quite a dilemma.

"I'm sorry but I can't believe you in this." And that was it. Sakura is so done. She will save her friends no matter what. Little did she know, the fortune was true all along.
