Peace

Skeppy wasn't to sure what had happened. One minute he was running across the street, too caught up in the moment and excitement to think clearly.

The next, what felt like hours, were foggy and just overwhelmed by all the nioret's pain receptors being shot. Blackness started to overtake his sight.

"Why. Why aren't I dead?"

Everything still hurt, and he could feel that his lungs had been pierced, presumably by either his rib cage or the front hood of the semi. When his eyes could focus again, the first color that stood out was the red on his blue jacket. His nerves were all jacked up, sending too many signals to his brain. Enough that what would have been a sharp stab like that of a needle prick. Blackness took over his vision again. However, this time there seemed to be quiet. Calm.

The pain ebbed away.

The third time was by far the easiest to stay conscience the longest. Skeppy's fingers started to pick up something soft. And warm. Yes, breathing was still painful, but nowhere near the levels that it was at before. Not even bothering to check his own injuries, Skep let sleep take him back under.

Two days now have gone by, Skep continuously getting better. It felt like his lungs were stitched back up, starting to heal naturally on their own. The spine was starting to get better as well, considering that the noiret was now able to sit upright. As for walking, he hadn't dare test that yet.

This was the fourth time he was awake that day, the intervals getting longer and longer as energy was beginning to return. Not once had he been awake to see the fate of his friends unfortunately. But not this time.

No. Skeppy had gone too long being confined to the bed. Too long away from Bad.

Groggily standing up, the noiret tested out what he thought would be his rubber legs. But surprisingly, there was very little stiffness nor pain. Just a mild discomfort and that was it. Heading over to the door, Skeppy looked down the hallway into the kitchen.

No one was there, only soft sunlight from late afternoon pouring through the windows. The kitchenet was mostly clean, the only disaster being a large splatter on the stove top indicating that water had boiled over. There was a small array of fruit in a bowl, containing the familiar red, orange, and yellow commoners. Walking over with a minor limp, Skeppy snagged a banana.

The couch was also empty, the only resident being a blanket damp at different sections of it. There were foot-prints of all sorts tracking the carpet. Snake-slithers, dog paws, lizard feet, socked feet, and hopping irregular circles. Sitting down on the couch, Skep wasn't expecting the door coming in to open.

"Well we are not having spaghet- SKEPPY!" The friendly hooded Muffinteer dropped his bag of groceries, dashing over to the couch. The one in question set down his fruit, standing up to hug his friend.  And hug he did, ignoring the chuckles of the others at the two's reactions.

"Are you ok? Feel alright?"

"Halo. I'm fine. A little sore and tired, but I'm fine."

"Ok."

"Hey lovebirds! You can continue this later- I wanna eat!"

(IDK what to write here. I wanted to write about action cause I wanted to get the other one going.)

The next morning, Skeppy was up bright and early. Over a large group meal the night before, the topic of how the three who were hit survived came up, which then morphed to a certain someone yelling "WE HAVE POWERS NOW?!"

And that was the plan for today. Skeppy was, without a doubt, excited.

'Will I get wings like Bad? or Sapnap? What's A6D going to be like? Scales, fur, feathers, I don't know what would be coole- Scales! All the coolest monsters have scales.'

"Skeppy! Come on!" Bad waved from the side of the car.

It was agreed the night before to find a private park where they could mess around without risking being seen. Skep dashed to the rig, and slingshotted himself into the seat. George had been chucked into the rear, leaving the Muffin-squad the middle row. Sapnap had found a shotgun, and therefor got the front seat. He had cocked the gun for emphasis and to better demand his request. And that all left with Dream driving the rig, as it was his own car.

"All in?"

"Ye-" "Don't bother answering cause away we go!" "Do we have the midget back there?" "I'M AVERAGE HEIGHT!"

Out and away they went.

After preventing Sapnap from snapping the navigation system in half for leading them to a restaurant rather than the national park they wanted, the group of misfits eventually got there. Skeppy couldn't wait to burst out into the car, wanting to experience what he may be. If there was one thing he didn't want to be was a blob.

"Hey! Being a blob isn't that bad!" Dream defended himself as he killed the engine.

"Suck it green boi." Sapnap slunk out of the car, already stretching out his wings. George had crawled out as well, dening that he couldn't work the seat (even after Bad helped). "Yeah ha!"

But Skeppy didn't worry too much about the chaos he left behind, rather walking around and trying to hone in on what his inner animal was. He did this by doing every single impulse he got. Whether that meant rolling in the grass or charging into a lake didn't seem to matter.

"SKEPPY!" He heard as he sprinted to the lake, leaping and prepparing to cannon-ball in. A splash later, there was just the rush of water filling his ears. Coming out of his curled state, he risked opening his eyes.

The lake was dark, yet enchanting. The sunlight filtering from above highlighted the small minnows and frogs that swam this way and that. The moss at the bottom was thriving, growing towards the light. Making his slow swim through the water, Skeppy's eyes caught a small turtle skirting by. It gave the nioret a curious look, staying buoyant where it was.

Swimming up to the small turtle, he reached out his hand to get a better reaction from the reptile. The turtle swam up and nipped his nose before making a beeline away.

"OW!" Air bubbles floated up, reminding him of the need of air. And yet his lungs didn't hurt. They were constricting a little, but no alarm for air yet. 'Come back here!' Skeppy swam after the small turtle.

But only looking back did he realize that a few things have changed. For one, he was making a more slither-like motion than the average paddle. Second, he felt heavier as he didn't have to fight against the air in his lungs.  And third, he was slightly faster.

Chasing the turtle into a log lodged into the muck and silt of the lake, Skeppy dove down to land in the soft deposits. Clawing through the silt, the rising sand obscured his vision.

'What's wrong with. My hand!' Kicking off to the surface, Skeppy sucked in a breath of fresh air. Flipping over onto his back, he floated along the surface to get a better look at his hand.

All five fingers, but much thicker and with webbing interlinking them. Small claws tipped the digits, and scales coated the rest. Kicking off to go to the shore, he was happy to find a large shell and crocodilian tail following him.  With stubby legs making their way onto the shore, he turned to look at the rest of the group.

The familiar orange dragon and the midget were busy looking at a weird looking griffin. A band of white indicated where the eyes would rest, two curved horns coming out the back. The griffin looked to be more snake-like, lacking hind legs and instead having a long tail curled up under it. Black wings were folded up, the front held up by skinny bird legs.

"A6D?" "Skeppy! Looks like your a turtle!" "How come these two get to know their form in under a week while it's taken me twice as long to not even get a hint?" "Someone must hate you."

Sapnap walked over, checking out the start of a few supposedly larger spikes on the shell. "Wonder how big these will get if you fully shifted." "Eh?" "When I can just do scales on one arm and not the other, and how I can be a full dragon." "Oh.  Let me try."

A6D grumbled a little, stretching out his feathery wings as he tried to find a way to walk. Ever since he shifted, the monotoned male stayed put. Meanwhile Skeppy had to resort to all fours to endure the weight on his back for the time being. Although rather than having a dark shell like he had earlier, this one had a much shinier shean.

"It looks like you shell is made out of diamonds." Sapnap had climbed onto the turtle, testing the strength of the large and now jagged spikes. "And about as hard as them too." The ravenet responded after pushing and jumping on one of the smaller outreaches.

A6D watched this all, still trying to figure out what all he could do. Spreading out his wings, he was determined to at least get off the ground. But for that to happen he would have to run, or at the very least get speed. As so moving he did, pulling himself across the ground with his stiff forelegs. The tail drug behind, creating more and more drag as it stretched out. Giving a huff, A6D worked to try and move it.

It didn't take long to realize that the tail wasn't like that of a snake, or at the very least didn't move like one.

Grabbing at the top of his narrow beak to mimic pinching the bridge of a nose, he grumbled before hiking it up to the shade of a tree.

Curling his tail up under himself, he was surprised to have felt something round coiled pu underneath. Tail curling around it, A6D hoisted himself up to get a better look of it. Well, he could if he could see it. All that was under it was shadow. Giving himself a little umph, A6D was able to roll to another tree farther away.

'So this is how I'm supposed to move.' He looked down, only to find a ball that seemed to be consisted of shadow.

Dream had returned, George trying desperately to catch the blob.  The midget looked exhausted, most likely from Dream trying to figure out what George's shift was.

"Still no luck with Georgie-" "Georgie?" "-but I think he's something like Bad or you."

Kracka honestly wanted to do more interactions with the group considering Skeppy and A6D, but life was in the way and had drained most of their will to right such things. In all honesty they just wanted to get a story out and to end this chapter on a note to where they could work on the side chapters. But they couldn't work on the side chapters without testing themselves and branching out to new characters and personalities rather than the common few they have gotten so used to typing. And so they made the sign up extremely easy for the side chapters. Their headache was already growing significantly, so the author decided to finish off on a note and continue this weird dialogue-footnote-intervention thingy at the end.

A shot fired off into the distance. Due to the need of seperation, the group scattered and broke off one by one.

Sapnap charged the way forward, George and Bad close behind. Skeppy was forced to shift back as to be able to run, while A6D scooped them up as they had mastered the gyro-mechanism of the shadow ball. Dream took up the rear, causing as much difficulty for the group chasing them to attempt at slowing them down. A decent trail of debris left, now it was time to hide their tracks.

A shot fired again, managing to hit A6D in the neck- sending the snake-griffin off course. The snaffin tumbled into the trees, flinging Skeppy into a pond. The pond had a mild current, becoming more and more forceful as it fed into a river.

Skeppy crashed into the water, sinking to the bottom.

Dream broke off to try and find them, moving  even faster when there was a convenient small park. The snaffin had began to shrink, becoming the small feathered snake he had been while recovering from the crash. The setting of the sun wasn't helping him spy the snake as he tumbled into the park.

A6D was lost in the tall grass of a playing feild.

Upon seeing the small groups of people and kids, Dream slowed his accent down to avoid being seen. Not only by the kids, but a very official looking person surveying the area.

Dream turned to leave, escaping into the trees to find anyone else.

Meanwhile, the remaining three were not able to shake their chasers. Rather, they had been able to get pushed to a cliff coastline. Shots harrowingly missed their targets, grazing skin. The hum of engines as the much more agile bikes drew closer, victory in sight as the other was aware that the coast was coming to a point.

"Screw this! Bad! Fly!" Bad didn't hesitate, flinging open his wings. George was thrown off-balance due to the two, tripping and on the verge of loosing his balance with the edge of the cliff. Bad managed to catch him, hoisting him up.

The wolf took flight, flying upward to follow Sapnap.

A shot hit Bad in the side, felling the two. The midget was flung off.

George disappeared into the churning waves below.

Bad crashed onto the ledge, Sapnap only noticing too late. The dragon dived after Bad to try and help him up and get away. That plan would have happened, if the red blur didn't get tackled by a dark flying figure.

Sapnap got carried off and was blipped away.

Injured and weak, Bad watched in sorrow the fate of the other two. Another shot was fired, weakening the wolf even more so. Turning around to face his attacker, he came to face with a blinding light- better illuminating him. Hidden by the light, Bad was unable to avoid the net launched.

Bad was caught.

Dream arrived all too late, being forced to watch from afar as he watched his friend get hauled away by a force he currently couldn't logically win again. The personas sealed up the cargo truck that held his friend, an unfamiliar logo plastered on the side. The logo was also stamped on the left shoulder pads of all the armed personas involved.

The group had gotten what they could, packing up and ending the chase.

Dream got away.

I know. This chapter is short and sucks. It's only 2470 words and counting. But I am bloody tired.
I have these chapters I want to get written for the individual ones. So.

Claim em now if ya want a character in their chapter. More details in 'I need bloody motivation'. But I would suggest commenting here or PMing me: Can I have (person)'s chapter.
