Lloyd's POV

L O C A T I O N :  R E B E L   B A S E , C O N T R O L   R O O M

The screen went dead.

"What happened..."

Someone, come in. Smith 2. Come in. Do you read me?"

"He knows that they're in there!" I panic, "It's a trap!"

Nadakhan grabs a hold of my shoulders, "Deep breaths, Lloyd."

"We have to get a hold of them, we have to tell them to get out. He knows!" I cry. I was going to lose my teammates, my best friend.

"There's no signal. We can't contact them." Ronin informs me.

Tears well up in my eyes, "No! Nadakhan, he knew the whole time. He was taunting me!"

"Calm down-"

"No, they're in there. He knows!"

"We don't know that." At this point, Kai, Clancee, Doubloon and Dareth have rushed back in.

Kai pushes past and he pulls me in tightly and I sob into his shoulder, "Did I lose them all tonight?"

"Shh....it's gonna be okay."

"No...no!"

I sit alone at one of the tables, and a tear rolls down my cheek. I hear footsteps, and I look up to see Yang. "There's no news," he tells me, "I'm sorry."

He takes a seat beside me, "It's the worst torture in the world. Waiting, when you know there's nothing you can do."

With more tears pooling in my eyes, I give a shaky nod.

"Especially for people like us." He continued, "But whatever strength, courage, madness, keeps us going, you find it, at times like these. You have it, soldier. It's what's kept you alive all this time. And it won't fail you now." I give a quiet nod.

3rd Person POV

L O C A T I O N : R E B E L   B A S E , B U N K E R S

The blonde sat silently in the seat, next to Kai, who was fiddling with a knife. The door slides open, and Nadakhan pokes his head in, grinning, "They're back!"

"Yes!" The two jump up, and race after Nadakhan, into the infirmary ward.

"...I don't need it." He runs off to see Seliel ripping tubes off her arms. She catches Lloyd's eyes, and smirks, "Long time no see, blondie!"

Lloyd turned to see Nya setting down a gun. He ran up and tightly wrapped his arms around her neck, taking her by surprise.

"I'm okay, I'm okay, just... confused. They didn't put up a fight." she mumbled, hugging him back.

"And I figured out why." Misako approached the two teens. Lloyd grinned and hugged her tightly. The elder woman returned it.

"Turns out they had cameras installed into them, to see what we can, to hear what we can. It's fine though, we've managed to remove it."

Kai and Skylor hugged each other tightly, and from the corner of Lloyd's eye, he could see Nadakhan and Dilara embrace each other too.

"Nya! Nya!"

The raven turned to see a male with auburn hair run up to her. Jay! Nya ran towards him too. He picked her up, spinning her round and round, and Nya wrapped her legs around his waist. The two kissed passionately, whilst crying and laughing at the same time. Lloyd sighed in relief as he saw Wu through the window, in one of the rooms.

The squad was safe. 

They were gonna take down Chen.

And this time, it would go flawlessly.

"...For the last time, Pixal, you don't have to apologise! We get it, you did what you had to to survive." Kai laughed.

"And yes, people are mad, but they'll get over it!" Nya added, leaning into Jay's chest. They were all currently in Kai, Nya, Skylor and Lloyd's bunker room.

"Speaking of which..." Cole started, "Seliel and I talked. We realised that we may not have enough time before we go to war so...we're getting married."

"Whoa, whoa! Really!" Morro beamed, "That's great!"

"Jay?" Seliel looked at your twin, "Are you...okay with this?"

He simply smiled, "Sis, if you're happy, I'm happy."

"Okay great, because I've already planned for you to walk me down!"

"Hey, apparently they're putting together a squad?" Skylor piped up. Zane nodded, "That is true. It's to take down Chen. I don't know who's in it yet, they want to give you all a chance to heal before they reveal anything."

The pink haired girl frowned, "We're ready for anything."

The other recently-freed young adults nodded in agreement. "So, what was it like, at the Capitol?" Lloyd asked, stretching his legs out. Cole sighed, "Bad. After they took us, they sorta...beat us. Then they tried interrogating us, but we went strong. After that we made a plan; they were already bad enough, we just had to go with it, unless we wanted our asses handed to us. We did the interviews, but when you guys hacked the interviews, we blurted out that they were gonna bomb you guys. That resulted in another beating and no food. Then early in the morning, we got rescued, but when we were getting scanned, Misako noticed the cameras injected into us. They took us to some remote location, called for backup, and they just...removed the cameras, before finally bringing us here."

"Well that's one hell of a story," Kai looked horrified, but then his face softened, "But you're safe here, with us. That's all that matters."

Weddings were simple here. You signed a contract, and just partied for the whole day, no alcohol. 

As it turns out, Cole and Seliel were very impatient, and decided to get married the next day after they announced it. Jay walked her down the makeshift isle, as planned. There were no fancy dresses, just a simple suit for Cole, a knee length off-white dress for Seliel, and everyone else wore their jumpsuits.

Lloyd stood beside Nya and Kai, and watched the ceremony commence. Everyone settled down.

"We are here today, to celebrate the wedding of Cole Brookstone and Seliel Walker-Gordon."

Heart beats fast, colours and promises

"It was a very last-minute plan, so would you like to read your vows, if you made any?" Wu asked.

How to be brave, how can I love when I'm afraid to fall

Cole cleared his throat, "When I first layed eyes on you, you were the finest girl out of them all. We clicked instantly."

But watching you stand alone

"First date, first conversation, first kiss, it was all magical. I know we'd dream about a big extravagant wedding, but really, I don't care where we get married, as long as I'm with you."

All of my doubt, suddenly goes away somehow

The crowd cooed, and Seliel laughed through her tears, "Cole, I never got to see you, when we were still in Ninjago, before all this occurred. But now, I'm seeing you everyday, and that's enough for me."

One step closer...

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you. And...there is a bomb at the wedding. Your butt. Your butt is the bomb, and there will be no survivors.{1}"

I have died everyday, waiting for you

Cole was laughing, tears streaming down his cheeks, "I love you so much, you're my dream girl."

"If you have any objections, speak now or forever hold your peace."

Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years

Silence.

Wu smiled, "In that case, the rings, please."

Meow!

The crowd laughed as Stuffins trotted down the aisle, a pillow with two rings on his back.

The couple each picked a ring up, and Stuffins ditched the pillow, before pouncing into Nya's arms. Nadakhan wiped a stray tear from his eye.

"I take you, Seliel."

Time stands still, beauty in all she is

"I take you, Cole."

I will be brave, I will not let anything, take away

"As my wife."

"As my husband."

The audience clapped as Cole pulled Seliel in, kissing her on the lips.
