Third person POV
As Yuki had awaken from her long and tortuous coma, she had came into contact with reality's cold atmosphere. She stared blankly at the walls before her in the dim room, but knew that she was alone... Her two beloved Kaneki and Hide were no where to be seen as she did not see any other familiar faces. She felt lonely once more...

Hearing the door open with the draw of light, Yuki expectantly looked towards the door to only see the nurse and doctor rush in. She kept a neutral face as they ran over to the machines and set her up immediately.

"Thank goodness you're awake Miss Kaneki! It's been two and a half weeks since you've been asleep!" With eyes that widened like the gleaming stars of the dark night, Yuki stuttered in shock of such news.

"H-has it really been that long?! Where's my brother?! Is he alright?! Has anyone came-" Grunting in pain from her side, Yuki immediately laid her head down onto her prompt up knees and fell to her side as the nurses pulled apart from the machines and wires. The doctor came to Yuki's side calmly and put his hand on Yuki's forehead as he simply pulled out a wire from her arm.

"You don't seem to have a fever which is a good sign. Your brother came to visit once when he had recovered. A few others came by to visit regularly." Pulling out more wires from Yuki's pale and "unstable" body, she simply nodded her head as she processed every information. The doctor sent one of the nurse to get dinner and another nurse to help Yuki up to her feet to test how well she can walk.

"Take it easy and take as many small steps you need Miss Kaneki." Yuki easily yet shakily walked across the room and felt proud of her speedy progress.

"You're doing excellent Miss Kaneki! Do you think you can walk back to the bed by yourself?" Yuki lightly grunted in approval of her attempt and held her chin up as she calmly and most elegantly made her way to the bed's side.

The nurse who was sent out to the cafeteria returned back with a tray of delicious looking food which made Yuki relieved to once again eat after such long periods. But... One thing bother her the most...

"Um... Doctor...?" As Yuki properly set herself back into bed with the nurses help. The doctor removed himself from the clipboard and nodded his head.

"Yes Miss Kaneki? Is something the matter?" As the nurses set the tray onto a pull out table onto the bed, they quickly left the room to spare a moment, but once Yuki tasted the food, it tasted horrible yet tasty. She wasn't in the mood to eat so the nurses obeyed Yuki's wish to take the dish away.

"... I don't seem to exactly remember how I ended up in the hospital... All I remember was screaming, laughing, and a loud continuous ringing of something crashing... What happened? Did my brother also get affected from whatever accident I got in?" With confusion laced in her voice and eyes, the doctor secretly smirked and nodded his head.

"You and your brother were caught up in an accident of a ghoul attack. You unfortunately got injured more severely and had too much blood lost. The crashing you must have heard was from metal structures since you both were found at a construction site."

Taking in all of this information which she could not remember was way too much of a shock to handle. She uncontrollably yearned for air as she was having a small panic attack from large amount of shock.

"Miss Kaneki! Please try to calm down!" As the doctor tried helping the poor girl, Yuki can hear the loud crash as if it were happening again.

"No! No! No! Stop!" Screaming as tears dripped down from her chin, the strong flashbacks were adding on to the building shock. But it soon died down as she tried calming down to ask the doctor a question.

"S-so... What happened to me and my brother then? I feel as if I have stitches..." The doctor was shocked as to how sharp the young girl can be and how "unstable" she can be.

"Both of your kidneys were damaged so we exchanged organs with another woman who had died and was also in the accident as well." With confusion laced in Yuki's mind, she continued to interrogate the doctor.

"Why was a woman with me and Ken? Why were we attacked by a ghoul?" As Yuki's eyes became serious and stared into the doctor's cautious eyes, the doctor felt uneasy of the girl's emitting aura.

"Miss Kaneki-" Yuki cut the doctor off and shot out a question that struck the doctor with a sense of fear that tied around him like a snake.

"Are you saying that the women with us was a ghoul and you used a ghoul's organs to place it in me and my brother? If so...then does that mean-"

"Excuse me sir! But you can't go in! It doesn't matter if-" As the nurse realized that she interrupted something by noticing the atmosphere, she quickly bowed in apology but panicked as the male walked forward.

"Wait-" The doctor halted the nurse and shook his head as he smiled nicely to Yuki and bowed before trying to take his leave with the confused nurse.

"Wait! You still didn't answer my question you sketchy doctor! Get back-" As the doctor ignored Yuki's calls for answers, Yuki growled in frustration but immediately forgot the male in front of her. She gasped in shock and pointed her finger at the tall white haired male.

"Wh-what are you doing here, Kishou!?" The taller male chuckled and bowed respectfully as he casually walked over and ruffled her hair.

"Its been awhile Yuki." Scoffing, Yuki gently smacked his hand away from her head and fixed her hair.

"It's been two years actually." Dragging out the number, she pouted angrily as Arima nodded his head yet smirked like the handsome devil he is.

"It's actually been a few hours, Yuki." Staring in shock, Yuki's hair stood up as she was dumbfounded.

"H-huh..? Did you visit me in my coma!? How embarrassing!" Falling back into the bed with the comfy pillow saving her head, she covered her face and whined childishly. Arima gently sighed in relief and sat onto the bed next to Yuki. He removed the sheet from her face and smiled as Yuki blushed madly.

"Kishou...?" Nodding his head in a way of hearing Yuki out, she took a shaky breath and felt her eyes water.

"W-will I ever be the same again...? This has never happened and I'm scared.... I don't even know how my brother's doing right now!... I'm scared if I'll lose someone to a ghoul... It already almost happened..." With tears streaming down her porcelain face, Arima was silently taken back from the inside. He pulled Yuki into his arms gently and rubbed her back in comfort as she cried in his arms.

After a few minutes of a crying session, they pulled apart as the nurse had just came back in. She bowed and gently smiled before walking closer to Yuki.

"You're ready to be discharged Miss Kaneki. Your change of clothing was brought by a young man with yellow and black hair a couple of days ago." Yuki brightened up hearing that Hide came to visit her and nodded her head.

Both the nurse and Arima left the room for Yuki to change. Getting back up to try testing on how she can walk or stand, she was shock at how fast she was able to recover the strength in her legs.

Yuki finished changing and whispered her thanks to absent Hide for not teasing her by giving her pink clothing and smiled. She still wondered why only Kaneki visited her when he was discharged, but she had a hunch that he was too afraid to see her. Sighing, she placed on the ankle-length black boots and walked out of the door with a more refreshed feeling.

"Oh! Kishou...! I didn't think you would have waited for me. I thought you would have gone back to work." Shaking his head, he held out his hand in a gesture of wanting to hold her hand to ease her balance.

"Let's go out to eat. It's my treat." Yuki was confused of course but was glad that she can go out and talk with Arima again.

They both walked out of the hospital and chatted about their current lives. Arima was sure enough proud of Yuki entering in such prestigious university. After all, Yuki didn't have a smooth past and the improvement she made impressed him.

'Maybe life won't be as bad as I thought it to be. Although I don't remember the accident... I know that I have people who are special to me and who would always be by my side! I can't wait to see Ken-nii and Hide! We'll for sure be together forever!'
