"Oh my! He's so handsome!"

"He's looks hot! Do you think he's single?!"

I mentally let out a long sigh to myself and tightened my grip onto my briefcase as I sped up my pace. I was walking through the streets of Tokyo to a certain destination to check on a very special person of mines. A very good friend and person. However, I heard that she had recently gotten into a serious accident and is being hospitalized.

"Damn it....." I mumbled to myself in silent anger, knowing that she got injured from a ghoul attack and is currently in a coma right now.

I soon stopped in front of a large and grand hospital and sighed. Walking up to the front doors of the hospital, I walked into the lobby and to the receptionist. I asked her for the location of the certain room number I was looking for and thanked her in return. Walking to the elevator, I heard some more whispers of my supposedly chanting looks. Finally, inside of the elevator, I was by myself in my own thoughts.

"I'm coming to see you.... Yuki."

Hide's POV
I wonder why Kaneki has been jumpy since yesterday hm... He looked really pale too. He has to take better care of himself. Seriously. I wonder how's Yuki doing right now...? I hope she wakes up soon.

Sighing, I decided to go visit Yuki. I really hope the doctors are taking excellent care of Yuki's immobilized self. Im quite worried if she won't be waking up any time soon.

I walked out of my apartment and locked the doors before me. I walked down the loud and busy streets of Tokyo as I made my way to the hospital where Yuki's permitted in. I didn't ride my bike because I felt like walking to give time to think all by myself.

I wonder how badly Yuki's injuries are besides her being in a coma... I hope this accident doesn't affect her as much. I hope that she'll be the same cheerful, bubbly, kind, and strong girl as always. Kaneki needs her by his side. He looks worried and depressed about Yuki not being here. Oh-I'm here already...!

Walking up to the lobby, I walked up to the receptionist and cleared my throat to get her attention.

"Hello! What room would Kaneki Yuki be in?" She gave a look of surprise and pushed up her glasses.

"Wow... Another visitor of Miss Kaneki? Her room is 427D."

I nodded my head and thanked her before going off into the hallway and into the elevator. As the elevator went up to the fourth floor, I began to wonder who the other visitor was. Was it Kaneki by some wild chance or is it possibly a fan of Yuki's. People are easily drawn in by her, so it was my hopes that it wasn't some random creep.

Sighing, the elevator doors opened with a chime of my arrival of the fourth floor. I took a turn to my left and hummed as I countdown the numbers of the rooms. Finally, I was standing in front of room 427D.

I gave a short knock on the door just for a gesture of respect and assurance and opened the door. I grunted a slight bit when I saw a rather tall male standing next to Yuki whose attention was drawn away and to now staring straight at me with such strong gaze...

I calmly closed the door behind me and walked up to Yuki's bed and saw numerous of wires attached to her body.

"Are you a friend of Yuki's?" I turned my head to the taller male and gave a small smile of bitterness while looking at her pale face.

"Yep! Her best friend in fact! If I may ask, how do you know Yuki-chan?" In the corner of my eye, I saw him holding onto a metal-like briefcase with his left hand. He looked as if he were about to sigh and had also looked at Yuki's face.

"She's a close friend of mines. I've just been busy lately so I haven't seen her in awhile..."

I saw the regretful and pained look on the man's face as if he was regretting that he wasn't there to help her. A man to be classified as a Dove to be in fact according to the attire of his.

"... I'm Nagachika Hideyoshi! My name can be long so just call me Hide! I think we'll meet someday in the future so there's my name!"

The man was taken by surprise and blinked a few times before reacting but nevertheless, he bowed and introduced himself.

"I am Koutarou Amon." Taking one more look at Yuki's form, Amon bowed and walked away to retreat to the door. "Please take care of Yuki, Nagachika-kun..."

"I will. Hm... I also think you shouldn't hold such expression or else Yuki-chan wouldn't like that."

Amon stopped by the door and nodded his head before exiting with his footsteps echoing in the hallway. I turned towards Yuki and sighed as I sat onto a chair next to the bed.

I sat on the chair for another hour while watching over Yuki. The monitors were beeping in assurance of her heart pumping blood which was a good sign of her still being alive. Sighing, I got up from my chair and stood over Yuki.

"Please wake up Yuki. Everyone misses you....I miss you..."

I gave a small peck on her forehead and smiled to myself. Pulling up her blanket more to cover her chest, I caressed her cheek and moved her stranded hair away from her face and gave a ninety degree bow. I walked over to the door and exited with a bitter smile.

Kaneki's POV
"Blehhh!"

I gaged at the contact of flesh in my mouth and threw it all up. My ghoul genes wanted the flesh but I didn't want to eat my own kind! It was such a horrid dilemma which I wish was never the case.

"What the hell! Why won't you just eat it?!"

Sobbing, I couldn't even look up to Touka, the waitress that Hide and I recently met. I was human.... I'm not a monster like her... I'm—

"IM NOT A MONSTER LIKE YOU! I
AM HUMAN!"

Anger and complete frustration was mixed with this tragic feeling, filling my thoughts with nothing but a void of my mind. I glared at Touka and she looked taken aback, the whites of her eyes slowly growing. She glared at me and punched my abdomen with a mighty strength.

"You're a human and ghoul! You have no place in this world! Rot in hell-"

"Touka."

My body froze to a new voice in the conversation as stray tears fell onto the dirtied concrete. I shakily looked up to see an old man whom I recognized as the manager of Anteiku.

"Manager...?! But-"

The man cut off Touka and slightly opened his eyes which gave me a slight shock. His eyes were the eyes of a ghoul.

"Isn't our policy here at Anteiku to help other ghouls in need?"

Touka scoffed and grumbled unheard words to herself and looked away with rage. The man motioned me to get up and I followed him inside as Touka did so too.

He had led us into a huge storage like room! Amazing to see in sight, but every fridge held nothing but human flesh.

"Here's a package for you. You can always come by and get some more if you'd like."

My eyes widened as my fingers wrapped around the object with tension. I gulped and nodded my head as I placed the package into my bag.

We went upstairs and the manager kindly served me a cup of coffee. I had already knew that ghoul's can eat coffee because of the last time I rampaged in the kitchen. That was why I was led to Nishiki Nishio and to how Touka beat the crap out of me. (Manga)

"Th-thank you so much!" I gave an energetic bow, now outside of the cafe.

"Please come back anytime when you need help." I smiled at his offer and walked back to my apartment but was saddened when I thought of Yuki.

'Please come back Yuki.... I miss you... I'm truly sorry. Come back home....'

??? POV
"Yuki..."

I caressed her pale cheeks with care and took hold of some silky black hair. I kissed the patch of silvery black hair of the moonlight and leaned away from her still form. Fixing my tie, I walked to the door and gave one last look at Yuki.

"I'll be waiting for you."

I walked out of the room and walked down the halls, hearing the soles of my shoes leaving echoes of my steps.

A thought of the poor girl left me feeling odd sensations, unusual for my behavior. But, she has been the only one that can make me feel like this.
