Kaneki's POV
'I can't believe this is happening to me! This is a dream come true... I should tell Yuki-chan and Hide.'

I speed walked over to my apartment with a wide smile on my face. It slowly pained my cheek, but I was too happy to care!

Hopefully I don't have to wake up a crazy morning maniac and get attacked this time around like before...

I saw my apartment building from a distance and quickly made my way to the stairs. I ran up the steps with panted breaths.

I'm not physically strong like Yuki-chan. She was quite the wild and uncontrollable teen back then. She's also more opened and loud than me, but she loves to read too. I'm more of the quiet and shy kind of guy who engulfs himself in novels. Who would of never thought that I would be so grateful that books helped me with my love life!

I hurriedly took out my key and twisted it into the lock and opened the door. I entered and shut the door behind me as I pulled off my shoes.

"Welcome home Ken-nii..." Yuki-chan was surprisingly up, still wearing her pajamas. It was only simply a white t-shirt paired with black shorts.

It looks like she had just woken up right now. I'm so lucky that I wouldn't have to wake her up and get knocked out...

"Yuki-chan! I have amazing news!" I hugged her tightly, but she was acting like a rag doll since she had just barely woken up.

"Did you see a potato ride on a unicorn outside with a ton of bubbles and rainbows?!" I sweat dropped at her crazy imagination and hesitantly shook my head. She just pouted and raised one of her eyebrows to hear my exciting news.

"Rize and I are going on a date later this evening!" Her eyes widened in shock and stood in place for a few moments. I slowly backed up, afraid if she was going to explode or tackle me... Or maybe even both...

Suddenly, I was embraced by a squealing teddy bear clinging around my torso.

"Ahh~! I'm so proud of you Ken-nii! You have finally become a man!" She squealed and squeezed the life out of me. Of course, I couldn't draw a breath from her army bear hugs. It's painful but nice at the same time... It's also comforting when she gives you a warm and less bone crushing hug.

"What do you mean 'finally becoming a man'?" She chuckled sheepishly and scratched her cheek as she pulled onto my cheeks which hurts a ton with the strength that she has.

Seriously, she's way stronger than I am! She kept pulling on my cheeks. No matter how much I try to pry away from her, she's way stronger than me!

"W-what was that for?!" She sighed and poked my forehead while crouching down to my level since I had tripped over myself while retracting my steps back.

"Ken, please be safe... You're my only family..." Her eyes were watering and her lips were trembling. Automatically, I felt a pang of hurt and sympathy in my heart.

I embraced my strong yet fragile younger twin sister in my arms and smoothed out her silky black hair. I felt her body shake as she cried onto my shoulder with warm tears, but I didn't mind since I love my sister... She's also the only blood-related family I have left and loves me.

"Yeah. I promise to be safe... I'll never forget you Yuki..." Her grip on my shirt tightened as she pulled back enough for me to see her smiling face.

"I'm just proud of my brother to finally find himself a date! You're always so awkward around girls!" Yuki playfully pinched my shoulder. "Now go and get dressed for your date!" She pulled me up to my feet and pushed me to my room as she successfully 'threw' me into my room.

"Make sure you look nice and you better tell her that I'm looking forward to meeting her! My future sister-in-law!" Yuki-chan slammed my door shut. I was left sitting on the floor of my room in utter confusion... No, um more like speechlessness.... Maybe just both or multiple feelings related to speechless...

I just shrugged it off and smiled as I tried to find out a nice outfit to where.

'I can't wait to go on this date with Rize! I should call Hide right now... Wait, I still have two and a half hours! Yuki.....' Kaneki sweat dropped.

Yuki's POV
'Ken-nii is dating Rize... Now I surely would have to keep an eye. This feeling is so uneasy that it feels wrong to have... It hurts my head...' Heaving out a sigh, I walked away from his room's door, hearing that he was talking on the phone with Hide.

I wonder if Hide also has this strange feeling...

I walked into my room and opened my closet to find an outfit that would look casual, but would make me unnoticeable for Ken or if perhaps Rize had took a glance of me at Anteiku.

I decided to go with a black knitted sweater and navy blue coat with shorts that reached mid thigh with thick black tights underneath. I put on some dark blue sneakers and looked into the mirror.

'Do I have anything that'll make me look unrecognizable...? Wait, yes!'

I quickly opened a drawer next to my closet and pulled out a orange colored wig and a paired of green contacts.

My friend was a cosplayer so she gave me a ton of stuff! She's crazy, but she turns out to be a really cool and funny girl! However, sadly enough, she moved away to the states... It was supposedly safer for her and her family to live there because of the death of her mother...

I walked back to the mirror and carefully place on the wig while putting in the green contacts with steady hands so I wouldn't stab my eye out. An embarrassing way to die is to lose your eye from a finger while trying to put on contacts when you're gonna stalk your brother on a date....

I took a step back and checked my outfit to see if I looked any different and it was a success! To finalize this look, I popped on black solid cap onto the tops of my crown.

"Yuki-chan! I'll be heading out now!"

"Ok, GOOD LUCK KEN-NII!" I yelled from my room as I heard the front door of the apartment click.

I waited a couple of minutes just in case and ran to the door. I locked the door behind me and ran down the steps as I quickly walked around the corner of the street. I saw Ken at the end of the street corner so I decided to walk slower than normally what I would do. I soon followed him to our favorite library. I also saw Rize waiting outside of there. She was smiling and waved at Ken as they both entered the library. I waited a couple of moments and slowly entered the library.

'If I sit at a table not to far from the entrance, I'll know when they leave...'

I first ordered a hot cream latte with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle and found an empty seat and table that was slightly behind a bookshelf. It was only around maybe thirty though thirty-five feet away from the entrance, I don't know...so I was fine! I had also found a book for me to read as time passed by. I was also watching out just in case so I wasn't fully concentrated on the book.

'I wonder if they're eating in the dinner a couple floors up there.... I bet that if they are, Ken would order steak! Hehehe, he sure does frickin love steak! I wonder if he likes steak more than me.....' I wondered in thought as I snapped out of it when I saw Ken and Rize exited. I had also noticed that it was already dark. 'Damn! How'd it get so late!' After smacking myself, I once again waited as I kept them in sight. They were just at the corner of the street as I pushed past the waves of people.

I was struggling to keep watch of Ken and Rize during the busy streets because of some darn titan human potatoes on the streets of Tokyo!

'Damn it! What if I lose them here?! Only this street left before the crowd dies down-' Once I had turned around the corner, I had lost them... I panicked and frantically looked to my left and right. 'Where did they go?! Damn it! I lost them!'

My knees felt shaky as my hands were sweaty. A sudden strong and rough wind blew past my small form as my wig and cap fell off from the tops of my crown. The uneasiness increases in my heart and soul as tears were on the verge of falling. I cautiously took out my colored contact lenses and threw them on the ground as tears rapidly fell down.

'Something is terribly wrong! I can just feel it-'

"Argggghgggggghgggggh!" My eyes widened in fear as I recognized that voice to be Ken's. I ran faster towards the yells of what sounded like agony. While running, I accidentally bumped into two high school students. I stumbled onto the concrete and scrapped my knee as I fell.

"A-re you okay miss?!" I just shot up and continued running ignoring the shouts of the girl. I didn't get to see their faces clearly but I did see that one of them had short purple hair. All I desperately needed to do is to find Ken! Nothing else matters!

"Kaneki~..." More tears rolled down my face as I knew that the voice I heard was Rize's. 'What could possibly be happening! Where is Ken! Please be safe! Don't leave me!'

Following the distant cries of my brother, I saw him run while blood spilling from the hole of his coat. He was bleeding with blood splattered everyone on him. I ran faster with my numb legs as I then saw Rize... With these weird and flowing red tentacles coming from her back... She was a ghoul....

"KEN-NII!" I yelled and shouted in desperation as he was thrown to a concrete wall while what it seemed like he is... Dead... Tears spilled out from my eyes as my body trembled in fear... My one and only family left has died because I couldn't keep watch... I had a feeling but I didn't follow it... Now my older brother is dead...

"Oh~ who's this? Aren't you this boy's sister I saw in Anteiku?" My whole body shook in anger as I felt only hatred to this deceiving beast that killed my twin brother. 'He admired her... He fell for her... He was extremely happy to meet her.... He was heads over heels for her for this date....'

"You'll pay for this you bitch!" I grabbed a nearby pole and ran towards her form that was laced with my brother's blood. She launched her tentacles toward me but I dodged three of them leaving the other one into my stomach... Blood splattered from my mouth as I felt weak... I still held onto the metal pole hoping to still fight for vengeance on Rize. She licked the blood from the spilled blood on her free tentacle and laughed like a maniac while grinning widely. Her eyes were the most terrifying as they looked as if they yearned for more flesh and blood. In frustration and hatred, I threw the metal pole with all of my strength into her left shoulder. She let out a scream of pain and threw me at the wall next to Ken with her tentacles slamming me against my side. My back harshly made contact to the wall as the ground was a magnet to my bleeding form of mess. Tears formed as I reached out to Ken's cold hands that laid a few feet away from me. Grabbing hold of his hand, I looked back at Rize as she approached closer.

"Ehh~... Are you really gonna die? You taste just as delicious as your brother! Your flesh is really soft and your blood is just so pure! I'll make a slop out of you since you injure me quite dearly... That hurt...."Clenching my fists, I gritted my teeth while mustering every ounce left in me to yell at this deceiving grape with hatred.

"Y-you d-amn bitch! DIE IN HELL!"

"I was just having fun! I'll pay back the favor! Plus you are different... You're stronger than an average human...." She smiled wickedly while the four red tentacles only just grew in size as it glowed as if it was gaining more power to strike us dead. I struggled to crawl closer to Ken to wrapped myself around him but at the same time a loud snap from above came to my ears. Huge metal structure poles that weighed tons fell on top of Rize as she was crushed under multiple of them. I smirked and huffed out one last breath.

"Serves you right, you dog... Please stay with... Me... Ken..." Immediately my eyes drooped down as I heard distant sirens and cars... Hopefully Ken can be saved....
